Tim’s thrillers have sold more than three million copies in the UK and are published in translation in 22 other countries including Italy, Spain, Sweden, Portugal, France, Germany, Poland, Hungary, Serbia, Greece, South Korea, Romania and the Netherlands.
His 2025 novel, THE DAUGHTER, opens as Lauren arrives to pick up her daughter from university at the end of her first term – only to find a stranger answering the door. Evie’s not there, has not been there for weeks, in fact she's vanished without trace. With her young son in tow, Lauren sets off on a desperate search into the dark heart of London to find Evie before she’s lost forever…
His previous novel, THE DREAM HOME, is about a family who move into a rambling Victorian house hoping it will be their 'forever home'. But it's not long before they start to uncover secrets contained within those walls, including a hidden room on the top floor. And by the time they realise the past is better left buried, it's already too late...
THE HOLIDAY was a Richard & Judy Book Club pick and spent ten weeks in the Sunday Times paperback top ten. It has since won a Nielsen Bestseller Award and been made into a four-part TV drama starring Jill Halfpenny (currently available on Netflix UK).
THE CATCH, about a father convinced his daughter is about to marry a man with terrible secrets, has also been made into a TV drama starring Jason Watkins, Poppy Gilbert, Aneurin Barnard and Cathy Belton (also on Netflix UK).
His other books are THE MOTHER, THE CURFEW, TRUST ME, LIES and 29 SECONDS.
Tim was born in Berkshire and studied in London and Cardiff before becoming a national newspaper journalist. He lives in Nottinghamshire with his wife and two children, and writes in a cabin in the corner of his garden.

Review for Lies as this was the only cover I could find for it. 3.5 stars. Another book club choice so not of my choosing. I am not a great fan of contemporary ‘behind closed doors secrets’ type of books. Reasons for 3.5 1. Few characters so easy to identify them even though I didn’t like them. 2. Short chapters so easy to pick up and put down. 3. Easy to read. 0.5 Did not see what was coming at the end. Reason for not giving a higher mark. 1. Far too long 500 pages. Story line could easily have been shortened. Lots of irrelevant info in it. 0.5. A little too unrealistic for my liking.
The book started right out with a shocking event which grabbed my attention. There were lies after lies and the storyline is thrilling, and fraught with twists and turns that caught me unaware.
I feel sorry for Joe because he was being played so hard and I always hated people being framed.
Unfortunately 2 stars for me. I only read Lies, my first and last from this author, not my style. It might be an OK read for someone killing time and with nothing else on hand. It reads quickly and easily and pretty much stay on course, so not much mental energy required.
Positives about the book, writing style is easy to read, just one POV, the main character. You can skip large chunks or speed read without missing much. Small cast of characters, easy to remember and keep track of who is who. It kept me busy on boring rides, but not enough to read all the boring chunks.
Negatives, story is filled with mundane and unnecessary details, lots of boring chunks I skipped and still could follow the story, the dialogue especially with the small child did not sound genuine or natural. The conversations do not flow well, they sound artificial and at times kind of unreal, especially at the end. I did not want to use an insult...lol...
Too far fetched for my taste, highly unbelievable with plot holes and it seemed as if questions were left unanswered or ignored just to drive the story. There were just too many things that left me shaking my head. Not an original story either, it has been done before and in a more credible way.
I would not label this a thriller, not much thrill going on. Maybe and easy mystery read for less demanding people than me. It is just a slow train trotting forward on a straight line, without much deviation or anything really going on, aside from the main character idiotic choices. It attempts to surprise you at the end, and some might be surprised and enjoy it, it failed for me.
The ending is kind of disappointing, aside from the fact that I had already figured it out, in part, the actual ending was a bit ridiculous. I kept reading because I wanted to see if I was right in my guessing, and I was but it was not as exciting as I predicted. The end was definitely a let down for me.
I would not recommend it, although some people might still enjoy it.
Just finished this book and loved it. Definitely worth 5* which is rare for me and an absolute delight to read a GOOD thriller. I have been so disappointed in recent years with some of the stuff that’s out there.
Gripped me the whole way through and I liked the writing style and the short paragraphs. The characters were all believable and the story was intriguing with lots of twists and turns. A cracking read!
Have already bought another T M Logan book to start tonight.
Love T M Logan books: Lies, The Catch and The Holiday, my fave. Nice and pacy, easy to read page-turners and yet always interesting, with logical plot lines and satisfying twists that keep you guessing and tie everything up masterfully.
Listened to Lies as an audio book in Dec 2022. Waited almost a year for it to become available. Will have to check out the other titles by this author. Book was good, fast past with one bad thing after another taking place.
The writing is just from one angle - I don't know why he bothers putting chapters in. It's one, long, tedious story peppered with observations of his 4 year old son. The ending is very fast and not worth waiting for.
I read 29 seconds previously. Now i read the Catch .the plot was very good and very good written. But I didn’t expect for Ed to be killed so suddenly,it was very sad that a twisted mind can do so much damage to good people.
Review for Lies only. Interesting twist that I didn't see coming, easy to read but once twist revealed unfortunately too many holes in storyline that didn't fit.
Omg,this book was absolutely brilliant.fantastic story ,a real page Turner. Read this you won’t be disappointed, complete shock for me 😉5* the holiday 👍
Listened to the audiobook Lies. At times I felt like I wanted to just skip forward because it felt like it droned on. Glad I stuck with it. Definitely a fun ending. Good for a thriller.
Really enjoyed this novel and wasn’t sure I would. I don’t care for novels that rely heavily on phone technology as part of the mystery, but this work and there’s a great plot twist!
