I read this book because it came in at the library I work at with a wonky call number, and I was going to read it to decide if it was better suited to our children's nonfiction or young adult nonfiction (if you're curious, YA won.) It doesn't hurt that I've been a kpop fan for years.

Overall, the book is filled with fun facts about the group and the members, but nothing that a fan wouldn't already know. I couldn't tell if it was angling for new fans or current has-beens, but I think it would definitely be much more informative for a beginner.

The only thing I wasn't a particular fan of? Most of the "must-watch" interviews were ones filmed in America, with the exception of one of their Weekly Idol guest appearances. They've done tons of interviews that were more fun--and interesting--than the slightly awkward and stilted American ones (where everyone is, in my opinion, visibly a bit out of their element.) My suggestion? If you're into a kpop music group, check out their Korean interviews. Since they're primarily variety shows, they're much more fun for the viewer, anyway!

Oh god!

LOL is the only thing I can say. The only good thing about this book was that it was bad-funny, and not bad-bad.

(btw, has anyone noticed, that Koreaboo and Wikipedia are the main sources of this book???)

And I read it as a joke-book from the start, just so you know (I never thought it could be a good book in the first place)

And the one star is for the fact, that me and my best friend had a very good time reading it and doing a pretty good commentary

P.S the obsession MacKenzie has on Jimin's butt and V's face expressions is weird and realllllly sick 👀 👀
