A very engaging book about the origin and meaning of common maxims. The format of this book gives the reader a good connection to the maxim explanations. There were multiple choice options for the possible meaning of each saying. All of the choices were well written and on point. The reader can think about which they think is the real meaning or origin and then read on to find out the answer. I liked how the author also made connections from the origin to the current meaning. This book gave just the right about of information. Not too much not too little.
