A great addition to Ms. Chase's Premonition Pointe series. I've read each one in this series and knew who Iris Hartsen was but I loved getting to know her better. Iris definitely has moxie and determination and strength which she will need to protect the town that she loves. It was so good to see Grace, Hope, Joy and Gigi again as they rally around Iris to help Premonition Pointe. Magic, mystery and romance made it an engaging book that I hated to put it down.

Witching for Moxie by Deanna Chase has Iris Hartsen finding her life spiraling out of control. She has lost her job, her husband, and now a curse has been cast on Premonition Pointe. Iris loves the town which was why she became mayor. The curse has turned Premonition Pointe into a ghost town with the disappearance of the tourists. Iris goes to the ladies of the local coven for assistance. Unfortunately, it seems that someone has set up Iris and she now must prove her innocence. Iris gets help from the coven, Sebastian Knight, and her handsome new neighbor, Kade Carson. Can they prove Iris’ innocence, or will she end up in an orange jumpsuit at the local penitentiary? Witching for Moxie is the 5th novel in the Premonition Pointe series. I like Iris Hartsen who is smart and tenacious. She has gone through a lot recently and the hits keep coming. Grace, Gigi, Hope, and Joy are back and ready to help Iris. This is a great cast of strong women. They use their witchy talents to assist Iris in proving she is innocent. I like the paranormal elements. Iris’ reaction to her magic was delightful. I thought Witching for Moxie was well-written with good pacing. This witchy tale has drama, attraction, joy, and suspense. The ending was lovely with hints of what is to come in Witching for Kismet. I was offended by the amount of foul language in the book. Those type of words are not needed. There are also intimate situations and references. I loved Kade’s dog, BeeBee. She is such a sweetie and her tricks had me laughing. Witching for Moxie is my favorite book of the series. I liked the mystery and how it all came together. Witching for Moxie is an entertaining paranormal novel with a cagey curse, a fine-looking fellow, a convivial coven, a Houdini hound, a commanding mother, and unfamiliar magic.

If you ever need a feel-good book to cheer you up, you really can’t go wrong with this author’s Premonition Pointe series. In this latest, Iris is still reeling from both a divorce and losing her job as mayor, but it doesn’t take long to find out that there is a reason behind the reason for both, and they don’t look good for Iris. I loved this book even though romance isn’t my favorite. These are such happy, fun books, you can’t help but love them. This latest is a great addition to the series, and now after the teaser at the end of this one, I’m really looking forward to the next. Highly recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

Iris Hartman is the mayor of Premonition Pointe. However, she finds herself kicked out of her job by the new mayor.
But something is very fishy about him.
He seems to be involved in something criminal, and it was found that her ex was running drugs into town. Somehow the mayor is involved in something as well and she is going to find out what is going on.
Meanwhile, the town has been put under a curse and the tourists are gone, business has dried up and taxes are being levied on businesses that can't afford them.
She starts to get help from her local friends in the local coven and realizes that maybe there is hope.
mystery and a romance with magic!

This is a terrific addition to the Premonition Pointe series; it does not disappoint. There is something for everyone to enjoy within the pages of this story from romance, mystery, suspense, and magic. The author does a great job of balancing the unpleasant realties of life with lightness, and hope. I’m curious to see what will happen next.

I love this book, this series and Deanna Chase! She is on my fave author list and must read !

I have said this before in other reviews, but it bears repeating. If you are a woman of a "certain age",a romance novel junkie, and who may be thinking all magic and romance in life has left you behind, you should try reading a new genre created just for us- Paranormal Women's Fiction. This genre of romance is written by women for women who know what happens when face to face with mid-life changes. What if hot flashes were not a curse but a signal that something magical was about to happen in your life? What if all that experience you gained in your many years of life, were about to culminate in abilities that allowed you to see life around you with a clarity you never had in your youth? What if instead of life passing you by, you finally found a true connection to the world and people around you. That is what Paranormal Women's Fiction is all about. And oh is it so much fun to read about women more like myself than the twenty something women most romance novels are about!
I have lots of favorite authors in this genre. Many of them I have read for years as they have written about romance and magic for quite some time. Deanna Chase is definitely one of those authors. But I have never related as well to any characters in her books as I do to the women of Premonition Pointe! With this series I have laughed as one character wishes her cheating husband and his mistress get a bad STD and discovers her wishes are magically enabled,so they come true! I have cried as women of the Pointe have lost everything they held dear, only to smile that with age and a bit of magic, they gain an even better life than they thought possible. Deanna writes with such understanding of what is like to be us, her words are magic. Reading this series has transported me to another place or time, where wishes do come true and women like me are loved and cared for because of their wisdom and experience.
Witching For Moxie, book 5 in the series, is every bit as exciting and magical as Ms. Chase's previous novels. In this novel another women in town joins the coven. However, unlike the rest, she has believed that she has no special magic. Yet, suddenly with hot flashes, a cheating spouse, divorce and unemployment, comes a magic so strong, it is overwhelming.
With magic, there comes even more importantly, a group of friends that will stand by her through thick and thin. That is the real story behind Premonition Pointe. The story that Deanna Chase tells so well. The story of finding true friends and keeping them close. To quote one of those women in this novel "“I think we’ve all reached a point in our lives that when we find someone we connect with and trust, we don’t let them go." To women of a "certain age " this is the real magic in our lives, finding other women we connect to emotionally and spiritually and holding on to them no matter what.
The need for friends and fulfilling that need is the happily ever after in Deanna Chases's special Premonition Pointe series. Again , in Witching For Moxie, she keeps us holding on to the very end, through many twists and turns, until in the end with the strength of her friends behind her, the main character finds her moxie and happily ever after.
What can I say? You need to read this book, this series, and you too will believe their is magic in hot flashes and hormone changes!

The ladies of Premonition Pointe are back and this time Iris (Moxie), the former mayor of Premonition Pointe joins them for another mystery. In book 5, the mystery surrounds a mysterious curse that has been put on Premonition Pointe and Iris has been blamed for it. The coven comes together to help prove that their newest coven member is innocent.

Of course the friendship between the coven members are a big part of this series, but what would a Premonition Pointe be without a little romance? Iris is newly divorced but when she meets her new next door neighbor she considers love again. I love the romance between these two characters!

Of course the mystery brings forth a lot more than who cursed the town. Iris's childhood plays an integral part of the mystery, bringing in Iris' mother, her deceased father, and her last (and in her opinion only) step father. It helps to explain some things that happened in her childhood, and helps to begin the rebuilding of her relationship with her mother. Of course her ex husband, Tom, is also back.

I loved this book so much that once again when I was done I ordered the next book in the series, Witching For Kismet, where we'll find another member of the coven meet someone new. Or someone not so new. If you love the new(ish) Paranormal Women's Fiction novels, where women "of a certain age" are the heroine's, you'll love this book and this series, I would buy it NOW! I'm not going to lie, these books have taken a lot of my reading time lately!

Iris had a great job she was the mayor of Premonition Point and she was helping the town businesses. In the previous book we found out that drug dealers have come to Premonition Point and her husband has his fingers in the drug jar....sorry now ex husband.
But she was fired from being Mayor and her world turned upside down.
Now she is being blamed for a curse that was cast upon the town and Iris says she has no idea how to cast a curse. Did she do it? Or is someone trying to get rid of Iris and if so why?
With the help from the coven and her next door neighbour Kade, who happens to be drop dead handsome, will Iris take back her town and prove she didn't curse it.
A lot of non stop action in Witching for Moxie.
I haven't not liked a book by Deanna Chase...her writing is amazing and keeps you on the edge of your seat. The characters in Witching for Moxie have grown so much since the first book in the series and I can't wait for the next installment to the series.
Run to your nearest bookstore or library to get this series....you won't be disappointed!
Loved it and highly recommend!!

And can we talk about the gorgeous covers!! They are so beautiful

On a side note: Normally it doesn't take me so long to read one of Deanna's books I usually do it within 24 hours but life got in the way. It happens sometimes and I usually can get passed anything distractions but not this time...so don't go by how long it took me to read the book...just know that once you start reading you won't be able to stop.

The (former) mayor of Premonition Pointe has a mystery on her hands and she's not willing to step aside when things get dicey. She also has a hunky new neighbor who jumps in to help her figure things out. Plus, her mom's in town. You know, Iris has a lot on her plate. Fortunately, she has some magical ladies she can call on. Ladies who are quick to welcome her with open arms and a place in their circle.

Iris might no longer be mayor, but she loves the town to much to sit idly by when bad things happen. And if her new neighbor wants to help her as she tries to get to the bottom of things, who is she to stop him? And if they happen to share a steamy encounter or two...well, things happen, don't they?

As for Kade, he might be new to town, but he knows a good person when he meets her and Iris cares about those around her. A lot. He's quick to offer his support and he's not about to turn tail and abandon her when things turn a little dangerous. (Also, he has a sweetly adorable dog who Iris is just gaga over.)

A little magic, a vendetta that some people won't drop, a magical sisterhood, and a couple who fit well together despite just meeting. *thumbs up*

I found the overall plot rather cheesy and the relationship drama a bit immature for an FMC that was supposed to be in her 50s. While I can understand the dislike of having to deal with an overbearing mother even at Iris's age, the way she reacted was more like a young teenager.

And then the twist at the end with the whole plot was extremely sudden and incredibly cliche.

There was a little more magic involved in this story, but it was still rather surface-level and a lot of the time was spent describing the rituals rather than the logic of how magic worked. And similar to previous books, the villain defeat was quite over the top with action before a HEA was developed.

An okay 3 stars, and I'll probably continue reading the series just to see how the romance stories for the other characters pan out.

Iris & Kade

Her wonderful life suddenly took a down-turn. When a negative spell turned the little happy town filled with tourists she was blamed and was removed as Mayor. She didn't even know how to use her magic let alone cast such a spell. Help comes in the form of her hot new neighbor and the small coven she had just joined. Too late to save her job. Now they all planned to save their town.

Another good one with mature women--or rather witches in a town where magic lived. The coven of characters (good witches) have had their stories told and the series readers have come to love as well as new characters good and bad. Each story is complete alone but reading the series enhances your enjoyment.

Can the good magic win out over the bad guys? Solving the curse and rooting out the bad guys makes for an interesting romance of two people who deserve happiness and each other. Don't miss it.

Wow Deanna wrote a spell binding story that will entertain your ear puds . You will finish this story in a day . Even though it’s part of a series it can be listened to as a stand-alone. You will see characters from the previous books help out ,
This story is about Iris .
Hero is Kade Heroine is Iris .
Iris gets framed for putting a spell on the town , not only that she got fired from being the Mayor of the town, Premonition Pointe . Iris keeps on saying she didn’t do the spell , she couldn’t because she’s not that strong as a witch . Kade her new handsome neighbor wants to help her . They have a few suspects of who is out to get a Iris , the new Mayer is on top of the list , and Iris ex , who’s trying to run her out of town .
How can Iris and Kade prove it . That’s where the coven comes in , the other witches from the previous stories, to help Iris
Grab it you will love it

Gabra Zackman was fantastic. She will draw you into the story right beside the characters.

I absolutely loved this installment of the Premonition Pointe series. Deanna Chase always uses hard topics in her books and deals with them in such a poignant and tasteful way that even when your heart hurts with them ,your cheering with them or raging against the situation you never feel alone. I don’t do spoilers but if I did this one would be a humdinger. I can say that you will be surprised with a few things and may I just say, wow, the characters are continually growing and showing hidden depths. I know there will be another one to look forward, Yay!, thanks to a phenomenal lead in.

I have had the rare privilege to be an unpaid ARC reader for this title and author, I guarantee this is my opinion and mine alone of this book and yes, I absolutely will be adding this to my collection.

I am so glad we get to add Iris to the coven. She is a great addition. She has Moxie for sure. It seems that everything in life that could go wrong will go wrong. Her life was going great till drugs took over her town. Then to find out her husband was apart of the drug ring. Now divorced, kicked out of office and being framed for a curse that is over the town she has to show herself and everyone else that she is a strong woman and can make things happen to get happy. All our favorite ladies are back along with a new hunky neighbor. They are determined to help Iris be free of the past. When you think this book is all figured out it changes speeds and story kind of. It then has us on a race with time to save it all. Very good book and look forward to the rest in this series.

I love a good romance story but add the mystery and it is even better. The story of Iris was started in the book preceding this one which is even better because the series is excellent.
You will find that getting a divorce is not the end of the world but finding out how things happened in your past is even better. She will learn why her ex is such a nasty person and why her dad passed. Iris has finally come into her powers and where they came from will surprise you. Kathryn, her mom, will reveal certain things to her and one is she has looks into the future. Such a look will save Isis’s life.
So join the coven as they help solve the mystery of who cursed Premonition Point, what happened in Iris’s past, plans for the future and more! This is an excellent book which I know you will enjoy and will anticipate the next in the series!

Sweet story

I love this series and have enjoyed each of the main characters, so far. However, we haven't really had a chance to know the Mayor as anyone other than, well... the Mayor. So, while I enjoyed the story of a woman swept under a tidal wave of bad events, all streaming from being married to a potions hustling a$$hole. I didn't have the emotional connection to the main character that I had in the first couple of books in the series. This made the book fall slightly short of my sky-high expectations!! It was good, I laughed and cheered, I just wasn't as emotionally invested in the story as I could have been.

However, I love how Ms. Chase adds a snippet in the end of the book that primes you for the next one.... And boy does THAT book look incredible!!!

I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

It is never dull at Premonition Point

Witching For Moxie is the newest book in the brilliant Premonition Point series. It can be read as a stand-alone too.

Recently ousted mayor Iris meets her new neighbour and his delightful dog BeeBee and just hours later is arrested for cursing the whole town. She turns to the local coven for help.
This wonderful book has all the amazing characters we have come to know and love from the previous books in this series. It also has magic, mystery and romance .. a perfect combination.

Deanna Chase has a talent for drawing you in to her magical worlds and you never want to leave. I absolutely loved this book and couldn't put it down. Wether you are new to Premonition Point or a firm fan I cannot recommend this book highly enough, it is fabulous and definitely worth 5*

This is the next adventure in the Premonition Point series. The story begins right where the last book left off. Premonition Point has been cursed and Iris is the lead suspect. With the help of her coven and her sexy next door neighbor, Kade, she tries to figure out who framed her.

There is a lot of emotion in this book with a lot of trust issues. Both Iris and Kade have had a hard time in the relationship category. Although for most of her life Iris didn’t have much magic. But she starts to come into her own and becomes a powerful witch.

The stories in this series are all heartfelt. This is one of my favorite series. Carley is next and I can’t wait to see what happens in her book.

I voluntarily reviewed a free copy of this book.

Iris is in deep.

Ousted by the city council and quickly replaced by an egomaniac, Iris is reeling. She doesn't trust herself after everthat happened with Tom. Someone has cursed the town and she is being frames for it. Can she figure it out before she loses everything?
This is an amazing series. The characters are all strong ones but, stronger together. They fight for each other, help one another and look out for their friends. The storyline is great, not exactly who or what you would expect, keeps you guessing until about two thirds of the way. I highly recommend this book, the series and everything this inkslinger puts out! On my way to start the next in series now! Live, love, love it!

plot thickens!

I absolutely love Iris. She is certainly a incredible character who is able to dust herself off and continue onto the next best thing. This story was filled with mystery, friendship, love, and trust. I love how the coven embraced Iris and they were quick to help Iris and the town. I enjoyed the mystery and magical spells that happened in this installment. It kept me on the edge of my seat. I was surprised with how easily my anger rose on behalf of Iris with her ex but that is just some great writing!! I’m enjoying this series more and more with each book that releases. If you enjoy reading paranormal women’s fiction then give this series a try. You won’t be disappointed.

So far, Iris's story has been my absolute favorite of all the Premonition Pointe books!! Each book gets better!

I love that Iris is a strong woman, yet she has her vulnerabilities. The growing friendship between all the ladies is one of the biggest hooks for me. I know right now, things are in the 'introductory phase' where we meet the ladies and they get their 'story'. My biggest hope is that moving forward there will be stories that focus on the group of ladies, and how they bond and work together.

Iris's story had some of the most thought provoking storyline to date. I love this world and hope Ms Chase has many more tales to tell.

The coven works their magic again! This is Iris's story and this has non stop action from the beginning. Iris was fired as mayor due to a curse put on the town that was blamed on her. She was set up by the man who took her place as mayor. Also the fact that her now ex husband was a criminal involved in dealing drugs doesn't help. It doesn't take long for Iris and her coven to realize that the new mayor is corrupt. They work together to get to the bottom of the curse and evil in Premonition Pointe. Lucky Iris finds herself a sexy new man in her life but can she trust him? Good overcomes evil and Iris is the clear winner in the end.

Iris was the mayor of Premonition Point, until she was pushed out by the city council.
It is also had a handsome new neighbor, Kade, who had the sweetest dog, Bee-Bee.
Iris thought she was happy until a curse was cast upon her beloved town and all tourism stopped, just disappeared. All fingers pointed to Iris.
With the coven taking her into their circle and Iris comic g into her magic they would get the answers they needed and find out answers to elusive questions dating back over 30 years.
This series is wonderfully written. Each story unveils something about each individual person, their life as it was and Their future.

And I just have to say omg to that ending and now I need the next book ASAP...

The former mayor or Premonition Pointe is suspected of unleashing a curse on the town to keep tourists away. Iris loves this town, and would never want something like this to happen, so she tries to figure it all out, with the help of her new neighbour and the coven we all know and love.

I liked this! The women in this series have all been through something big, but come out the other side stronger. I also love that they have each others backs, no matter what. They find new relationships, some find new careers, and they find themselves. A feel good series!

I enjoyed this newest story in the delightful Premonition Pointe series. It was a bit of a different story that the past ones. Prior stories seemed to have a bit more depth to them. However, one of the great things about this series is the bonds of friendship among the women. This story continues on the same vein and really highlights the importance of women supporting each other in their lives. The coven including Iris into their fold is no exception. I love how Gigi takes Iris under her wing and Iris learns to flourish under her new female friendships.

This visit to Premonition Pointe was nearly as great as the rest for me, except it felt a little too...planned. Yes, I know how that sounds. The best authors plan every nuance of their stories out before writing a word and I believe Ms. Chase is one of the best, but I felt like I was reading a little bit of the planning in this book. It took me out of the story at moments, but this is still a wonderful book and I cannot wait to see how this series wraps up. Still a must read series for romance junkies who love a little magic in their lives, even if it is just on the page.
