Becoming an Asset



OK, so this is supposed to be all dark and dirty, and it is, but I also found myself highly amused in certain places, such as the beginning. Perhaps I was simply in the everything- entertains-me mood. Either way, I did like this spanking good time!

Stephanie "Steph" Grady / Stephania Grassi is definitely of the mischievous variety. She's cute, impetuous, and constantly landing herself with a hot seat. 🤚🍑🔥 Her heart is in the right place, which keeps things exciting between her and Marco, even when she's disobeying him.

As for Marco Moretti, well, I'd happily let him dominate me. A smooth operator that knows his way around the BDSM world, in addition to his other pursuits. His business is not exactly on the up-and-up, but that bit of danger just makes him more appealing.

In addition to how he operates on a personal level with Steph, I like that he looks to unconventional methods to handle business. The twists and turns in this story, which don't stop until the end, allowed his strengths in this area to shine. I love how things were laid out.

I was gifted a copy of the audio book. The narrator, Denver Adams, is new to me. I love him as Marco, but I do wish there was a female actor for Steph.

Steph is a photojournalist who is stalking Marco Moretti for a picture. What she doesn't realize is that he has set her up and he is going to teach her to be a good girl. Steph is impulsive and reckless and is keeping secrets from Marco. Marco decides right from the start that Steph needs discipline and he is going to give it to her. I enjoyed this story and I'm looking forward to more books by this author.

Wonderful Mafia with BDSM

I really love this book it is a great mafia story and it has quite a lot of spanking and such in the story as well. There is a lot of action and some plot twists that I think will be surprising and there is a lot of 🔥 scenes as well. I really enjoyed this book and you will too if you like some spanking in your Mafia Romance.

Marco Moretti is a Don of the Moretti family, and as a rule he never let anyone takes a picture of him. He as his fingers in all types of white collared crimes in New York but never gets convicted for anything. Steph Grap a photographer has an obsession with him. She wanted a photograph of the the infamous Marco Moretti so she decided to follow him everywhere and take pictures of his activities.
She didn't know that she was putting herself in danger by following him. Because Marco was working with the FBI to take down two brothers the Zeppelins who so ruthless and evil every government agency wanted them. Macro knew that she was following him and decided to set a trap for her to follow him to his lodge. She thought he was meeting the brothers for a meeting and was waiting. She was very surprised when Marco came to her hiding spot. He took her into the lodge and questioned her and each lie she would get a spanking. But things unfold Marco found out Steph was hiding things from him that only jeopardized her life but his as well, which leads to more spankings. But he realized that she loved being punish so he had to get more creative for his naughty girl to shake her up
Marco found out that Steph Graph was a professional name and that she was an old family friend. Steph is the daughter of Don Antonio Grassi. Steph real name is actually Stephanio Grassi she's smart, she doesn't think before she acts, if it wasn't for the later trait she be assets. It doesn't matter how many spanking Marco gave Steph she always found herself in trouble sticking her nose in his business, because she wants to be apart of it since she's not allowed to in her family. Steph gets her bottom red and panties soaked daily because she's mischievous. She was truly a very bad girl. She's like a a little kid that can not stay out of trouble. Therefore, she had to get punished sometimes delayed gratification. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and I highly recommend this book to anyone who is interested in stories about girls who deserve to be punished for their misdemeanors, and the dominant males who hands them downs.

Bratty Love

Very Bad Girl opens up with Steph Grady, a photo journalist, who is trying to conduct research and surveillance to snag a photograph of Marco Moretti, Mafia boss man, in the middle of the woods.

I don't know, I may be one of the rare ones in which I honestly didn't like her character; bratty, stubborn, thinking that she knows everything, and creating a really bad situation all around.

I enjoy reading Mafia romance books and ones with BDSM. This insta-love/lust romance was just a bit too wishy-washy for me. The plot itself was good though.

Honestly i have read a few of this authors books before, but this book has to be the best yet i have read. What i loved about it apart from the fact that it was really great and exciting i also loved the little twists and turns, i really had to smile at Steph she really would of been better off if she had told the truth to start off . And all this started off with her wanting just one little photo of Marco!
Steph has been tailing Marco, trying to find out what hes up to, she even went into his BDSM club, and what an eye opener that was for her, but waiting outside in the bushes to get a photo of him, she is surprised when he finds her and takes her inside, there he proceeds to spank her until she tells him the truth. But soon he discovers shes been up to more and she may be in trouble. Not to mention that she may have compromised the deal hes doing at the moment.

A definate 5 star plus for a great story!

A wonderful book full of twists and turns
Marco is well known as the Mafia boss along with Steph who was a photo journalist who is determined to take a photograph of him and she is pretty determined to achieve her aims and that was a certainty.
Throughout this wonderful story there were plenty of twists and turns, ups and downs and this certainly keeps things very interesting. I must say that once I started reading this book I found it impossible to put it down it held my attention completely and I a, sure you will feel exactly the same.

The addition starts with the book cover….yeah…yeah…yeah don’t judge a book by its cover they say ….well we all do it and this one here it is the scratch to your itch or better yet the filling to your oreos! Speaking of filling…..wait, that’s for later. Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with!

Bod boy’s crazy brother/friend…check
Bad boy’s Kryptonie…check ….check and check
By the time you’ve figured out who is who and how deep hate/love can run, you’re already hooked, and you may as well give up the fight and prepare yourself for an all-nighter!

Marco the Mafia Boss and Steph a Photo Journalist the two them do not mix and yet they do mix ….I know a little confusing but it works. Steph has one goal get a picture of Marco the crime boss who is always in control and her plan to get this really great and clear photo goes wrong landing her directly under Marco figuratively and literally. Both characters are strong, smart, and powerful chemistry and attraction between the two of them. Good girls are rewarded and bad girls are punished for putting themselves in danger, being dishonest, disrespectful, and disobedient land on their Dom’s lap for a spanking. Does she ever get the picture she was after or will she continue being bad …my guess is maybe she will be both bad and good.

I have enjoyed a lot of Maggie Carpenter’s other books, and from experience I should have known that she would deliver much more than I expected at the start. I’m going to proceed very carefully with this review because there are some terrific surprises in this story and I don’t want to ruin them for anybody. A couple of times I was so startled I actually gasped out loud like I was a character in a book!

Steph, the female lead, is a daring and impulsive photojournalist, hot on the trail of capturing a photo of Marco, the male lead. He is a crime boss who excels at maintaining control in all areas of his life. When her plan to finally get a great photo of him completely goes sideways, she also ends up under his control. There are a lot of unexpected events in this book, some domestic discipline, a little BDSM, and some excellent secondary characters. It is a fast-paced and interesting story.

Both Steph and Marco are smart, courageous and strong. They have powerful chemistry, and in the end their HEA is also based on powerful respect for one another. I really enjoyed this story

All she wants is a photo.....what she ends up with is a sore butt

A Very Bad Girl is the story of Steph and Marco. He is a Mafia boss who finds her sneaking around his place trying to get some pictures as she is a photographer. The start of this story draws the reader into the mystery and suspense of the story. Marco is not a man who likes to have his photograph taken, under any circumstances. So when he catches the beautiful and sexy Steph he is going to have to teach her a lesson. So he takes her inside his BDSM club and soon she is over his knee with his hand making contact to her red butt. But there is more to this story than initially meets the eye. Things are about to get heated up and dangerous in more ways than one.

Steph is fascinated with Marco Moretti. He was raised in an organized crime family and he's rich and powerful. She just wants a picture of him and somehow he found out about it. Marco's also fascinated by the woman who seems to want to follow him around constantly. Should he be worried about her? What exactly does she want? He knows how to take care of it, pick her up, hold her and keep her till she talks to him, but things aren't what they seem and the problem starts to escalate. Now he just has to figure out a way to keep them both safe. In the meantime, the Dom finds it hard to keep his hands off of submissive Steph.

When he finds her stalking him, he finds out everything he can about her. He lures her to his hunting lodge, and traps her there. While he admires her chutzpah, she is reckless. She will be his plaything while he finishes with a dangerous business deal. He has to keep her safe. Steph is keeping secrets, and the men on the other side of his deal are aware of her.
Here is where things get complicated. There are so many plot twists that I cannot tell any more without giving something away. It takes place over thirteen life changing days, and they do get their happy for now. Maggie Carpenter has outdone herself with this one! You are one click away from a fantastic novel.

Marco is a very dominant, alpha male. He's also the head of the Mafia. Steph is an extremely intelligent, daring, and impulsive photo journalist who is determined to get a picture of Marco. She's done her research. She's done her surveillance. She's located his whereabouts and is just hiding in wait to snap the picture when Marco sneaks up behind her. I'll admit this storyline had me gasping in surprise in a few places. I'm trying to be careful here and not give away too much but this was a great read with multiple surprises, domestic discipline, a bit of BDSM, and a great deal of chemistry. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

The Chemistry between Marco and Steph is smoking ! They set sheets on fire with the passion. The dominance he has over Steph.
Believe she gave as good she got. The spanking and BDSM scenes where so sexy and hot 🔥. Need a fan on just to cool down.
I loved the suspense, danger and sexy scenes.

Will the very bad girl get what she wants? Or will the tables be turned? Marco gets what he wants in the end?

One love to read over again. Like with all Maggie Carpenter books , they are my go to stories when in the mood for spicy, bdsm romance. Also Like visiting friends again. .

However, it was all a set up as Marco appears and takes her back to his lodge. Having known that she has been tracking him for a while. Keeping hold of her to find out what it is she hopes to gain from this.

Marco is in the middle of a life-changing deal and cannot afford any distractions or disruptions. With Steph managing to do both of these, he is planning to teach her lesson by making her his plaything whilst keeping her out of reach of those he is doing business with.

A dark mafia romance with twists and turns from both their relationship and the big business deal that is happening around them. From a man who is used to being in control, can he let Steph in and offer a helping hand?

This was a Good read, it was full of action, suspense and elements of BDSM. This was about a very dominant crime boss Marco who finds a photographer Steph stalking him and has to teach her a lesson about stalking dangerous people like him. Marco soon finds out a lot of things that Steph is keeping from him and she seems to keep put herself in dangerous situations that then leads to him having to punish her. This also has some hot scenes and a HEA at the end.

Loved the book it was great, the story was well written and the characters were intriguing. This story of Marco and Steph was amazing, Steph follows Marco to take pictures of him when he catches her he is not happy especially when it compromises a deal he pulls her aside and spanks her, the book just keeps on heating up with the arousal, BDSM club, dominance/sub, adrenaline rush, twists and a lot more of emotions to keep you on the edge.

He just prepares and takes control. Marco is a little bit fascinated with Steph in his own way. He does not have time for these games, only his own. This story has suspense, danger, drama, lust, twists, turns and finally love. I really enjoyed the characters and their story. It was hard to put down.

Domestic discipline as part of plot. Steph has gotten herself into a bind with crime lord Marco, caught stalking him to try to take his photo. As it turns out, Steph has a lot of secrets on top of impulse control issues. Some drama and intrigue as they try to figure out what’s going on with another group from Europe, see who is with them and who is working against them, and if there are any traitors. With a lot of spanking.

The opening scene captured my attention and the story took off immediately. It was an intense ride with a very strong alpha male who wanted to ensure that the strong stubborn woman who has captivated him stayed out of trouble. I loved the intensity of each and every scene. This is oustanding story. We have Steph who is a photo journalist. Marco is mafia, and Steph was trying to get a picture of him. I loved the characters and the interaction and the way the story progressed. There are twists and turns and plenty of heat and action. I love this story, this is a wonderful book. There was intrigue and mystery and I loved this book.

Smoltering heat! This is the first book I've read by author Maggie Carpenter but I definitely will be reading more of her books in the future! I couldn't put my kindle down on this one. This book told the story of Marco Moretti, mafia boss and Steph Grady, journalist. These characters were fantastic. This book offered action and adventure, BDSM, erotic steaminess, mafia romance, mystery and suspense. This book is a must read and I highly recommend!

Steph and Marco - when these two meet there's not just fireworks - it's full blown Armageddon.
One of the most enjoyable reads I've had in a long time - and I read a LOT of books.

A Mafia romance with BDSM twist

A very entertaining read, this story is fast-paced, steamy and suspenseful. When Marco Moretti finds Steph in the woods he takes her to his lodge hoping to get answers from her. Steph says she only wants to capture a photograph of him but he knows there is much more. Marco quickly realizes that Steph is submissive and he uses BDSM to uncover her lies, her secrets and her heart. Loved it!

No where as dark as I had predicted but packs a powerful punch.
Great leading characters with a storyline that is not all about the alpha being over bearing.
Lots of twists and turns with a rather good plot and a cast of characters that were perfect.
I would definitely read another book by this author.
FYI: I listened to this in Audible and the narrator could not have fit the characters more perfectly.
