Readers searching for a wholesome, feel-good family series full of faith, love, redemption, promise, and romance can stop right here… the Dixon brothers will deliver! Ken comes across as stoic, but beneath the solemn exterior beats the heart of a generous and thoughtful man.
Oh. My. Goodness!! This was such a great book, and what a great way to end the series!!!! This has all of the feels, from sad, to happy, to frustration, to heartbreaking, back to happy. Just like real life, this book as Daisy making a bad decision and then having to live with the consequences of that one lapse in judgement. It takes her awhile to see why she can't move forward and why her relationship with God has stalled. Once she realizes, she can move forward and find out how God can use this for His glory and her good. Ken is the super quiet brother, the one who has made the decision that he can be a complete person without a wife, until he meets Daisy. Then, he realizes that he could be good staying single, but he could be even better if he was married to Daisy. They have quite a few things to go through, but when they finally get together, watch out!!
I received a complimentary copy of this book, was not required to leave a review, and the opinion expressed is my own.
A wonderful conclusion to this amazing Dixon Brothers series. The only reason I gave it four stars is...there seemed to be moments that were skipped that it was difficult to tell. Most of the skipped "time" was evident, but a few spaces I couldn't tell what was going on and who was where. I truly enjoyed Ken's heart, his love for his wife and the unborn baby. The tears flowed in this one more than the others, for sure.
I have to say, my favorite was Jon's story, but all four books were very good. I highly recommend! Thank you, Hallee, for a fantastic series!
I love that all the heroines in this series could tell the triplets apart. This was a great way to conclude the series. The interactions among the triplets made me like them even more.
This storyline touched my heart because the characters were so familiar to me. I knew people who went through some of the ups and downs in their relationship. It was easy to love these characters and understand where they were coming from in their complicated relationship. The struggles at the last part of the story was hard get through but it was good that they came through with their faith and love were still strong. It was a good journey and I glad I chose to take it.
Family. Culmination. Diversity. Love. Daisy's teenage crush comes to fruition when the last eligible bachelor of the Dixon triplets, finally notices her! It's almost like God kept blinders on Ken until the timing was perfect. Daisy's Decision is a fast paced story with more heart stopping moments that the first three stories. It's the culmination of the Dixon Brothers series, but it's also about the family unit and the love that grows with it in the diversity of the Dixon brothers situations. Remarkable story! I loved the failth element and the proof in the power of prayer! Truly loved this book / series!
Loved this story! I had so many emotions. I laughed, I cried, I wanted justice, and I cried again. Daisy and Ken’s story is amazing and full of so many true life situations! Highly recommend!!
Daisy's Decision: A Christian Romance (Dixon Brothers Book 4) Hallee Bridgeman Feel like I got 3 books in this story as each of the triplets have sections about them. Story follows Daisy as she grows up each year, having a crush on Ken, one of the triplet boys who's a few years ahead of her at high school. They all do come for religious get togethers over the years. She ends up taking her grandparents advice, going to college on their dime, keeping grades up and becoming a lawyer and taking over the nonprofit they had started. She met a man and ends up pregnant and he wants no part of it, signs papers to that effect. Story also follows Ken and how he has grown up becoming an architect along with his brothers and how they build houses and sometimes sell them, sometimes rent them out. He's on a call when he shows up at Daisy's business, not having seen her for many year and she discovers it's he she is meeting with. It's a big project and he takes it on. The company that was financing it was her ex boyfriend who she's discovered is married. She doesn't want to start dating Ken because of the pregnancy... It's amazing how much they all pray through good and bad times. It's a wonder how the triplets are very much alike, including their girlfriends/wives.... Daisy had premonitions about the birth and followed up on them to keep the others safe. Medical emergencies really bring the whole community together and make things happen with prayer. So much to this book because the family is large but it's a wonderful read.
Although Ken is the youngest of the triplets younger than John and George and usually no one could tell them apart. Daisy could from a young age she knew there was something different about Ken, but after she was grown she had only thought of him now and then. She stayed busy by working in the church and evening teaching a woman’s prayer group it didn’t stop her though from living in the flesh and getting pregnant with A married man baby. A married man who no longer wanted anything to do with her nor the baby. Then one day Kim goes on a mission to her home church it’s something in him sparks and he can’t deny it nor can he turn it off he asked her to go on a date and although Daisy know she is pregnant she can’t refuse them. That childhood crush has come back and despite her pregnancy it feels just as heavy. This book was so good. I love these triplets so much and I do believe Daisy is my favorite Dixon spouse so far. Holly Bridgeman write such great books and it seems every time I read one I think it’s my new favorite, but I can honestly say this one is really really my favorite. I loved it the whole thing I highly recommend it if you love romance and want to be reminded of why we love love read this book.
Daisy's Decision was a fun read. It hooked me right from the start. Daisy is a feisty women who knows what she wants and sets out to achieve her goal to finish college. When her grandparents approach her with a business preposition, which includes help with paying for her education, she does not hesitate to accept their offer. Skip forward to present day, and we see Daisy approach a man to tell him the happy news, that she is pregnant with his child; only to learn that he is married and does not want anything to do with the baby. Daisy's background includes growing up in the church. So getting pregnant out of wedlock was not in the plan. Then in walks Ken, a guy that Daisy had a crush on in middle school. Him being a few years older did not afford her a second glance until now. Her middle school crush is now in front of her. How or will Daisy tell Ken that she is pregnant with another man's child? This story is Christian fiction; filled with scripture and forgiveness. It could be used as a small Bible study- there are even thought out questions at the end of the book. This story can be read alone, but is the 4th book in the series(I am now going to go back and read the other 3) ;)
WOW... Sometimes you get to the end of a book and just think, “WOW”. Daisy and Ken (as well as all of their family) move right into your heart and take up residence. Their story - NO SPOILERS! I promise! - spoke to my heart, encouraged my faith, and had me doing some soul searching and looking at all the moments that brought me to where I am now in my life. Times when I listened to the still small voice, and what happened when I didn’t. And how God, who isn’t surprised by anything that we do, used it all to work out for good.
The only spoiler that I will give is: KLEENEX! Have it handy. Daisy’s Decision is a fabulous book that touches your emotions in every wonderful way possible. Unconditional love is a beautiful thing to see, and Ken might be my favorite of the triplets. Of course, I’m now going to have to read the entire series again to make sure! The Dixon Brothers series is one that I will read over and over, and probably enjoy more each time that I read it - if that is possible.
I love books by Hallee Bridgeman and this is no exception. This is the 4th book in The Dixon Brothers series. This can be a stand-alone book also, but it is more enjoyable if you have read the other books as this builds on those books.
The copy I received was an ARC as such, the editing was not finished. Her other books were very well done as far as editing so I expect this will be as well once finished.
The characters are very well developed. The story flows well. It does not bog down in too much detail but also gives enough so you understand what is happening. This is a Christian book but not preachy at all. It shows how God deals with our sins. It also shows how a Christian might feel after committing a sin with harder consequences.
I would recommend this book to my friends. I give it a 4 out of 5-star rating. Not many books get 5-star as that is reserved for the most outstanding books. A 3-star book is a book that I enjoyed and 4-star in for a very good book.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I so lost myself in this 4th and final book in the Dixon Brothers series that I would forget I was even reading. Beautifully written, some of the most beautiful words I’ve ever read. As with the other books in this series, Hallee emphasizes the redemptive power of Christ Jesus through real-to-life situations and circumstances; one of the things I love about Hallee’s books. You will fall in love with Daisy and Ken and the entire Dixon family as they see God work in their hearts and the situation surrounding them. “All things work together for good to those that love God, to them who are called according to His purpose” (Rom 8:28) This book brought to mind God’s redemption in my own life and has me thanking Him for all He has saved me from and brought me through.
This is a very emotional story. Daisy has many difficulties & decisions to make when she discovers she is pregnant by an unfaithful married man. She struggles with what Ken will think if she tells him. She also struggles with what other Christians will think & how they will treat her. But God is ready to forgive our sins when we admit them & ask for His forgiveness. I cried near the end when Daisy went into labor. I think this is a very true-to-life story that we can all benefit from because it is important to forgive as God forgives, be loving & merciful for we all commit sin. I have not read a story in quite a while that moved me emotionally as much as this one has done. I received an ARC. This is my voluntary review.
It is the second time one of Hallee's stories makes me stop and think to myself, "I can't believe she is mentioning this in her book; so edifying!" Hallee surprised me twice; the first time, I did not see the plot twist coming at all, and the other time, I did not quite believe it would happen, but it did.
I find myself in these two characters - in their character traits and quirks - and this is why the story touched me so deeply. They are like us... imperfect, sinners, true in their desires to please the Lord... and their story is where God teaches and forgives both them and us along with them. This story is a great reminder of God's love and mercy and His work, whatever our circumstances are.
Daisy and Ken's love story reminds us that God is in the driving seat.
I read this book out of order in the series, but it is a standalone as are the other books (though it helps to have background on the other characters in the Dixon family). I like that this story dealt with a sensitive topic--adultery and pregnancy outside of marriage in a Christian family. Daisy is pregnant by a past romantic relationship and then meets her teen crush Ken. Ken asks her out on a date; what's a girl to do? So many decisions! Lots of drama, but wow. I like that Ms. Bridgeman didn't sugar coat the ups and downs of such a difficult life situation and instead let the characters sort it out for themselves. I strongly recommend this book and this series.
Excellent author as far as character development and drawing you into a story. The series was so good, I read all 4 books in 4 days. I gave it 3 stars because there were so many politically biased social justice plugs that weren’t necessarily needed to make a good story. I’m pretty sure between the 4 books, we covered every possible social justice issue and for the most part, they did nothing to advance the story, but rather push the author’s views on racism, women’s rights/issues, poverty, “privilege”, etc. I loved all the characters and would have loved if more of the story had been used to develop long term epilogue for the characters.
"Daisy's Decision" by Hallee Bridgeman is the last book of the Dixon Brothers series, but it can be read alone. I loved all the characters in this novel. The Dixon's have become like family to me!
This story follows Daisy Ruiz and Ken Dixon. Daisy and Ken's story is not your typical story. I was really impressed how the author addressed a difficult issue in this novel. She did a great job!
I highly recommend this novel and all of Hallee Bridgeman's novels.
I received this book from the author for my honest opinion.
DAISY’S..DECISION.. ......Hallee.Bridgeman Daisy at age twelve the dream was of the name of Ken Dixon. At college she found a church close to campus and volunteering, and studying law. A relationship that ended when the truth came out. A date with Ken was all she had envisioned, now she couldn’t have. For Ken he rarely dated and now all thoughts were of Daisy. A beautiful story showing God’s plan for them, and the precious life that was almost lost. Of the triplets men their families, based with Christian faith Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion.
“Daisy’s Decision” is a stunning way to end the Dixon Brothers series! Each of the four books can be read as stand-alone books, but I encourage you to read each book. You will get to know the wonderful Dixon family and friends and be enriched by their Christian lives! In “Daisy’s Decision” Ken Dixon and Daisy overcome many obstacles to see their dream come true. A story of faith, perseverance, love, and the redemption of God, this is a book you will remember for a long time!
Another great read by Hallee Bridgeman. Once I started reading it I couldn't stop. I love how the author makes her characters imperfect and relatable. Daisy struggles with self judgment and forgiveness in Dasiy's Decision. She has some big decisions to make and the author does an excellent job of showing her internal delima. The twist at the end of the story will leave you on the edge of your seat.
I love how the series concludes with the third triplet, Ken. He is the quiet thoughtful one and I would imagine that’s difficult to convey well through the written word. But wow, just wow. I love how the theme of redemption is woven through the story and how not everything was tied up in a neat bow. Life is rarely that way and I can guarantee that I will re-read this story over and over. Get it!
Hallee Bridgeman has brought us a wonderful family series that I am not ready see end. Why couldn’t the Dixons have quadruplets or quintuplets, not just triplets? Oh, well, be prepared to have your emotions toyed with and tissues close. I love how their life partners never have a problem telling their triplet from the others, even if they can’t tell the other two apart. This is an excellent study of love. Thank you, Hallee.
Easy reading, but thoughtful. Every time I thought the story was getting a little too simplistic, it surprised me with some real conflict and some serious thinking. It was a good read. Because it was the fourth of a series, there were insertions and holes that probably made complete sense to readers of all four books, but add me wish I knew the rest of that story.
Another wonderful Christian read. Some tough topics handled beautifully in here. I love reading Bridgeman books. Honestly, I picked it up to just read a chapter before bed and basically finished the whole thing.
I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
This book is the last of the Dixon brothers series and finishes the series so well. The characters are so real and believable and like all Hallee’s characters flawed and in need of redemption. I cannot recommend this book enough.
