After Carson and Bri declare their love for one another on Christmas Eve, the two friends turned lovers find themselves in rocky waters. They're finally a couple, but Brianna worries because they've fake dated, the feelings they share aren't real.
When they find themselves snowed in, Carson sets out to prove their feelings are as real as the engagement ring she wears on a chain around her neck. Except it's not enough. It's not enough to convince Brianna. So, when Carson's job pulls him away from Georgia to Houston, right before New Year's Eve, Brianna believes it's a sign they've made a grave mistake.
Will Carson be able to prove to Brianna their love is genuine—and will he be able to do so before the ball drops?
I really enjoyed the continuation of Bri and Carson after Christmas. This is a short, fun, hot read and I hope to see more from this writer in the future because her voice is good.
The story was extra cute about a secret relationship between old friends that was so much fun. I had a crush on Chip, but he didn't pay me any attention, but unlike my story, this one had a happy ever afterward for this couple. Yes, I enjoyed this short story.
At the time that I read this book I thought it was a standalone. Now that I'm aware of the first book, a lot of the confusion I had in this book made sense. I couldn't understand the history the two characters share that would make this story plausible. I'm not entirely sure I'll read the first book because this didn't blow me away.
This is pure, sweet, sexy, hot romance. The writer has a way of painting such a vivid picture with her words. I felt like I was right there with Carson and Bri watching all of their cuteness play out. I loved it! Such a good, quick read.
Book 2 was just as enjoyable as book one! Now you know were going to need some more of this couple in our lives. The job, the wedding, the babies...all of it!
This was cute and short friends to lovers short story which is one of my favorite tropes. Not Carson wanting to put a baby I Bri at the start of the year 🤭
