Luisa “Lu” Posche threw herself into work and serial dating after getting her heart ripped out of her chest and stomped on into a mash of betrayal and sadness. That was because the stinking, no-good, Rob Napolitano, broke things off three years ago. Why? Because although he loved her, he “just wasn’t ready to settle down yet.”
According to him, after realizing his huge mistake, Rob tried to get back in contact with her, to no avail until seizing his opportunity at a mutual friend’s wedding. She was blindsided. And he forced her onto the dance floor. Then he kissed her. How dare he? Well, let’s just say his crotch didn’t fare too well in that situation. Not with her knee as a weapon.
But did he take a hint? Oh, no… Rob brought her job into it, hiring her company to hopefully bring them on as investors in his newest venture, a dude ranch of all things. Somehow, he’d convinced her boss to send Lu out to the ranch for the week to decide if they’re willing to pony up the cash. Just Lu and Rob. How was she going to survive a week with the man who made her hate the very idea of love?

What were Rob, her ex-fiance, and his brother doing at her sister's best friend's wedding reception? Her ex-fiance, the man who had broken her heart, stomped it under his shoes and then put it through a grinder just a month before their wedding day.
Her grandmother raised her and her two sisters after their father died overseas and their mom took a hike. And she was here in attendance so Lu couldn't make a scene at the reception even if she wanted. So she is forced to dance the the douchebag and hear him trying to excuse his behavior because he got scared.
Lu works remotely for an investment firm and is surprised when her boss calls her into the office for a meeting. He wants her to check out a highly feasible investment opportunity. A dude ranch in Arizona and that the arrangements have already been made - her flight is in a few hours. A DUDE RANCH IN ARIZONA! Is her boss crazy? They think a DUDE RANCH is a good investment?
Her luck is not looking good. They are flying through a supercell storm and not only is the sky super black, but the wind and rain are pelting them so hard from the sides. It's the worst turbulence she's ever been through. They are forced to land the plane in St. Louis where she overhears there had been a blown engine. Great.
Three hours later she is boarded another plane heading to Phoenix. Except she needs to be in Tucson. She finally makes it to baggage claim only for her luggage to land on her toes, can't find a car rental counter and has to take a cab only to find out there is only one car available. A car without air conditioning in monsoon rain conditions so she can't roll down the windows for air.
As if her day hasn't been a total sh*tfest when she finally arrives at the dude ranch dragging her suitcase through gravel she opens the lobby door to find no other than Rob. Rob, her ex-fiance. Rob, who is thinking of purchase the dude ranch. Rob, who asked for her specifically. She has truly just landed in Hell.
I loved this book. It is very well written and the characters are engaging. I love Lu and her determination to keep from forgetting Rob despite the interference of both their families trying to help Rob get her back. I love Rob and the lengths he goes to in order to apologize and get Lu back.
This book is romantic, hilarious and full of action. Highly recommend this book.

A working vacation....not quite what she expects
WTF Are You Thinking is the third book in the Adventures in Love series. I have read several other books by this author but this is the first of this series. This humorous second chance story is about Luisa Posche and Lorenzo Roberto "Rob" Napolitano. Lu is in her last twenties and works for RBS Investment Group. She analyzed business opportunities and helped decide if the company would provide capital investment to people who wanted to get their businesses up and profitable. Rob is almost thirty and teaches people to skydive. They had been engaged but a month before the wedding Rob called it all off. He was spooked and scared after seeing his brother get married and then have to make changes to his life because they discovered they were having twins. But now Rob realizes that he made the biggest mistake of his life. He misses Lu and wants her back......but she is definitely not having it. When they meet at a wedding reception of her sister's best friend. With a meddling grandmother and not wanting to make a scene Lu ends up dancing with Rob. He tries to win her back but she ends up kicking him in the shin and leaving. Sometimes you don't get what you want and Rob is discovering. But the man is about to play hard ball and be conniving, which ends up with some funny, sweet and spicy moments.
This was a funny and sweet story but it also has some spice. The story-line was engaging and the characters were nice. I was not a fan of Rob and thought he was not really strong enough to match the fire and wit of Lu. But the heart wants what the heart wants.....even in the middle of the desert in Arizona.

The addition starts with the book cover….yeah…yeah…yeah don’t judge a book by its cover they say ….well we all do it and this one here it is the scratch to your itch or better yet the filling to your oreos! Speaking of filling…..wait, that’s for later. Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with!
Sometimes second chance are all you get no matter the uphill battle to get them. Rob messed up badly after proposing to Luisa he decided at the last min before the wedding he couldn’t settle or didn’t or wasn’t ready to settle down yes thus calling everything off. Luisa was left devastated, humiliated, embarrassed, not to mention time, and money wasted on the event just to be called off leaving her broken. Fast forward Rob realized the mistake he made and tried reaching out but to no avail she wanted nothing (who could blame her) to do with him. They are both attending a wedding when he forced her on the dance floor, tried kissing her and get the knee in a painful way but that doesn’t stop him. He contacts the investment firm requesting she be the one to take a look at the ranch meaning she will be stuck with him for at least a week giving him time to win her back or attempt to win her back. Will she forgive him for the heartbreak and can they move past it to find their happiness?

Engaging, 2nd chance story. This book was an easy-to-read, well-written 2nd chance romance with Lu and Rob as main characters. Three years ago Rob got cold feet a month before their wedding, crushing Lu's heart. Their families and friends have been deeply interwoven, so everybody lost as a result of their break-up. Three years on, neither of them fell out of love and Rob and Lu's family have been conspiring behind Lu's back to find ways to bring them back together again. Rob finds a good way by engaging Lu's firm as a potential partner for his business idea, knowing that Lu will be sent to assess and analyse the business potential. Well, no surprises that during the romantic ranch experience, the couple will be reunited with many action-packed tension points, hot, steamy sex and the realisation that the heart must have what the heart wants. Their story continues on its rugged path, finally coming to a happy ending to the not-so-little relief of both their families.. I am happy to recommend this feel-good story of two such likeable characters.

Not Yet Forgivable . . .
I almost always am cheering for the couple in second chance love stories, but Rob had two strikes against him with me. One is the obvious bailing out on the wedding at the last minute for a flimsy reason, in my opinion. He has no idea of the humiliation Lu would endure, nor of the cost of everything that would have been paid for by that time, time and money wasted and thrown away. The second offense was his being sneaky in using trickery getting her back in his presence when she was obviously and purposefully (and rightfully) avoiding him in his attempt at trying to get her back. Even if she planned on eventually talking to him, he deserved that time of squirming in guilt. Anyway, I wasn’t happy with him at all. He was putting what HE wanted ahead of her, and that doesn’t bode well for future behavior.
Unfortunately, being angry with Rob, I wasn’t enjoying any humorous attempts. I think he is selfish and immature. I hope he grows up before the next book comes out.

I had fun reading Louisa and Robs story. He is trying to winnher back after breaking her hearth three years ago, and she is doing her best to keep him away. Rob is trying to get in thouch with Louisa and when that fails he askes for her when he contacts the investment firm she works at. Louisa is not aware that the dude ranch she is sent to evaluate is Robs, and so she is stuck with him for a while. I enjoyed their journey and I liked that the places and people were well written and easy to see through the words. It is a funny and enjoyable story.

Lu and Rob had been engaged when he broke it off a month before the wedding, devastating her. Three years later, at another wedding, he confronts her and tries to start seeing her again and he gets it with a knee. Her luck getting to Arizona was hilarious and his attempts at getting them together were clever. Not the first time or last that things go wrong and then right again. Loved the scene at the grandparents italian restaurant. Also the dog and cat. Very heartwarming, with intense feelings and emotions. The ending was terrific... what family and friends.

While I love second Chance romances, I thought Rob was less than hero material in the way he broke Lu’s heart by breaking up with her one month before their wedding.
His reasons were understandable but it didn’t make it right. He was kind of redeeming himself by going the extra mile to get Lu to trust him again but his bonehead actions after they got back together was too disappointing for me.
It might have helped to have his POV and may have had me emphasizing with him more.

I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. This is a second chance romance between Lu and Rob. I wanted to like this book but I could not get past his numerous actions that hurt her, past and present. I understand that he wanted to redeem himself and he had his reasons. I still hated that Lu even considered giving him any chance. It seemed that it was always about him more than them. 3.5

Rob regretted having broken up with Luisa a month before their wedding. Luisa was heartbroken and refuted his contact attempts...until they were on the same Dude Ranch. Rob is set on winning her back. Will he get Luisa to give him another chance, and will they make it this time? Read this story, you won't regret it, I enjoyed it very much, it has wonderful characters and is very well written, romantic and steamy.

A Solid RomCom!
Quick reading, funny storyline, steaminess added in just the right amounts, all mixed together makes for some perfect poolside reading. Highly recommending if you like your comedy to flow from chapter to chapter with a HEA for an ending. PEACE.

Rob ran from Lu when he panicked
It's taken three years for Rob to get Lu the love of his life to be in a room with him. Unfortunately she hasn't mellowed and kicked him in the shins. Rob admits he was an idiot but he plans to get her to forgive him at a ranch he wants to invest in. Funny, touching and volatile! Chemistry wasn't their problem.

While I found this to be an entertaining story, I had a hard time connecting to the main characters, mainly the male lead.

Definite must have on my shelf!!
Absolutely loved this book!! From beginning to the end, I loved everything about it. It was such a wonderfully penned and plotted story, it kept me captivated throughout, and left my heart so darn happy! Definite must have on my shelf!! Bring on the next book please!! Happy reading everyone

This is the 3rd book in the series. The books revolve around the same characters but different main characters for each book. The story and characters are hilarious and very relatable. I know I have asked myself the same questions when dealing with an ex.

A beautifully written book with an interesting story line. The characters are strong, and the story flows quickly and smoothly. I enjoyed reading this story.
