I am excited to explore all the amazing texture and design techniques using eco-friendly, common household and nature materials that this journaling workshop offers! It's all the things I value about making journals and creating in general. The pages with the art theory and composition are truly special and sets these books apart as they are written by someone with a professional art background, as well as practitioner, so there's lots of tips and tricks of the trade sprinkled throughout the journal series, (yup, there is a whole amazing series!!!) Tricia presents things that could easily be overlooked, but are important to the overall concept and execution. It's a complete workshop that focuses on several techniques and projects to craft journal pages and add to your skills tool kit. So much to love. The books are jam packed with wonderful techniques, creative projects, clear instructions and large color photos on every page!! (And now I know there is another use for beets besides ditching them off the dinner plate when no one is looking!) I highly recommend to the beginning journalist and budding artist, and anyone who loves to create. You can't go wrong! Thanks Tricia, for another great book and for sharing your gifted talents!

Nice basic techniques

I liked the photography with not just finished pages, but also the works in progress along with the supplies used. Especially liked use of "found", therefore inexpensive, items - leaves ... Celery.
