Welcome to Pleasant Grove, Colorado. Where men find their happily ever after.
Sawyer Clifton never expected to walk away from his family’s business in Breckenridge, but his health couldn’t take the stress anymore. Thankfully his best friend talked him into visiting the cute town of Pleasant Grove. He wasn’t so sure he believed in serendipity until he took a chance and decided to stay. Because that’s where he found Fairy Tales and Hudson.
Hudson James had more to do than any one person could, and he knew he needed help. He wasn’t difficult to work for, but the hours weren’t the greatest. When a cute redhead walked into Fairy Tales, he knew he was about to fall hard and break all of his own rules. His book store, Fairy Tales, was all he thought he needed. Until it brought him Sawyer.
Fairy Tales and Cappuccinos is the first book in the Everyday Love Series. Each book will focus on a different couple and can be read as standalones, but previous couples will make appearances in future books so they will be best enjoyed read in order. This book is intended for adults only.
3,75 Uroczy slow-burnek, z zerową ilością dramatu, przyjemny i błyskawiczny w czytaniu.
Sawyer, worked in his family Skiing business, but health became more important. Hudson owns a bookstore, and had put off the changes he needed to do. Sawyer leaves to visit a friend in a charming town, and meets Hudson, and Sawyer gets to use his expertise to help the bookstore. While this is going on, the guys realize they are drawn to each other, and little by little, the romance begins before they even have a date. We learn about the pasts, the families, the town and goals. Friends of our men are interesting also. The bookstore upgrade is underway, and their romance gets deeper. Enjoy !
No spoilers of any kind included! I absolutely loved Fairy Tales And Cappuccinos! The story just sucked me in and took me on a wild ride. But then again all of Taylor Rylan’s stories do that, which is the reason I always come back for more because I love her work. So yes I am most definitely going to recommend Fairy Tales And Cappuccinos because I really enjoyed reading it!

I’d like to be kind here, but I’d also like to be honest. What did I just read? It was...so basic. Very cookie-cutter, cut and paste, small town romance, but it had absolutely zero emotion behind it. I actually think Sawyer showed more emotion meeting Ford than he ever had towards Hudson. I understand the appeal of serial series, but save yourself the time and find something else.
This is a m/m modern romance which hints at being the first in a series. I really liked the characters, the bookstore sounds absolutely fantastic but the story itself just was lacking. It really needs more. The book starts off with drama and conflict; then the characters meet and it’s like a friend sat me down and simply told me about their life as shortly as possible.
Okay story with inoffensive characters. The best part was the bookstore setting and the story thread about updating it with a coffee counter. The potential for conflict arising from one character walking away from his family and their business was glibly ignored.
This was a super cute, low angst, fun book about two people finding each at just the right time.
Sawyer and Hudson were super cute together. They worked really well - Sawyer with his bubbly personality and drive to make Fairy Tales the best it could be and Hudson with his more quiet, reserved and steadfast demeanour. The secondary characters were great too. They were supportive and yet had personalities of their own (I don’t think Chris or Ford could blend into the background if they wanted to); it’s a personal pet peeve when secondary characters are 2D and forgettable.
I think the only thing I would say (not really a criticism more a comment) was that sometimes Sawyer seemed overly hesitant. That could totally be because of how things have happened in the past (no spoilers!) but sometimes I guess I just wanted him to trust himself and others that things would work out. But then, maybe that’s what he’ll learn with Hudson, Chris and Ford - that he can trust in the family he’s made.
Definitely recommend - the perfect book for when you want to feel all the warm feels!

Even though I thought there were a lot of nice things going for this story... it had a lot of loose threads or missing details.
Example: Hudson and Sawyer went to the Winter Festival, made a big deal out of getting a Christmas tree and having to haul it home on the top of Lucky, (Hudson's grandma's vintage VW Bug), and then when they get home they just go in and leave the tree strapped on top of the car... in the garage... to leak pine sap all over the car... See what I mean? *headdesk*
Example: Hudson and Sawyer grout the tile and go to bed, then they clean up the grout and stuff the next morning... pretty sure you have to clean the grout just as soon as you apply it or it would be a PITA to get off the tiles after it dries... just sayin'!
Overall this was a cute, short, slow-moving read with pretty much nothing going on... which is not always a bad thing in this day and age... slow can be a good thing, sometimes! *grin*
I love all the books of Taylor Rylan and when I won this book in a prize draw, I was excited. Normally I wait till a series is done, so reading only the first book of a new series was something new to me. But I loved it. I like stories about small towns and its inhabitants. It's a non-complicated story about two men falling in love. One is escaping his overbearing family and trying to heal his stomach, the other one is trying to keep his business alive in the small town he grew up in and is starting to realise he is looking for something more than just a hookup. But the new guy he really likes and feels attracted to is now his employee. And you don't mess with your employees. But what happens if friendship isn't enough. The story plays out around the end of the year with Thanksgiving and Xmas. So if you want an easy read for the holidays, this book will not let you down.
This was a wonderful start to a brand-new contemporary series by an amazing author! The cover art and blurb was cute and so are Sawyer and Hudson. After one too many ulcer, Sawyer quits his job and leaves his family's ski lodge business to visit his best friend, Chris, in the small town of Pleasant Grove, CO. As Sawyer is exploring the town, he sees a small bookstore in bad need of some sprucing up and PR. He meets Hudson, the owner, and finds himself with a new job. Hudson finds himself attracted to his new employee as they work together to market the bookstore. With their best friends, Chris and Ford, both men are ready to take their relationship beyond the employer/employee phase. This was a sweet, low-angst read with great characters in a cute, picturesque town. I'm excited for Chris' story and I can't read to return to Pleasant Cove :) What an amazing start to a great new series!
If you’re looking for two sweet men, a best friend, a cousin, bookstore and more this book is for you
I absolutely loved Sawyer and Hudson. Sawyer quits his job and leaves home to visit his best friend Chris. While checking out the town, he meets Hudson and the last thing he expected was to accept a job working in the bookstore
As they work together, their friendship and desire builds until they give in. Who says you need blood family to make a family. These guys have Chris and Hudson’s Ford on their side.
I really enjoyed this book and look forward to the next book as quickly as possible. Lol. This book put such love in my heart and a huge smile on my face.
This was a cute story. No angst and just happy times. Hudson owns a bookstore that is in serious need of updating and Sawyer just needs to slow down and live. Sawyer has worked himself into ulcers on behalf of his unappreciated family and is just done and in need of a change. So he goes to visit his best friend and winds up never leaving. Hudson knew he needed to do something but he had no idea what until Sawyer walked into his little store. The rest is history! A sweet read and one I enjoyed very much. I loved the characters of Sawyer and Hudson as well as the best friend Chris and cousin Ford. They have formed their own little family. I look forward to Chris's book next!
I really enjoyed this beginning to a new series by this author. I adore small towns that are big enough to have more than the basics...like a bookstore! Sawyer needed a change and finds the perfect solution while visiting his best friend. Vacations are over rated and how could he not want to help Hudson? Hudson was described so I could totally picture him in the back doing inventory where he feels more comfortable because working the front is too peopley. I look forward to seeing where this series goes and to see if my favorite side characters find someone that completes them.
Being an older romantic, finding my true love five years ago, the characters in this book were so like friends you have in your life. All having baggage, all needing love and all good people. It’s great when two halves find each other and realize perfect love. Can’t wait for the next installment!
This book shows that sometimes you have to remove people in your life and sometimes remove yourself from your comfort zone to find what you did not know you really needed.
Give this a read. See if it makes your heart warm like it did mine!
I really enjoyed this book. The story starts with Sawyer, who works at his family’s lodge, getting told that he is not being very productive, while he works 20 hour days. He tells his dad and brother that he quits. He calls his best friend Chris who he makes with to go to Pleasant Grove. When walking around, he enters Fairy Tales bookstore and meets Hudson. This is a great meet cute with a marketing person who helps the bookstore owner get his business more out there while falling in love. I cannot wait to read the next book in this series.
I just loved that Sawyer left his job, his family was awful but spending time with his best friend was the start of a new life. Sawyer finds this cute bookstore called Fairytales and inside, his future. Hudson and Ford lived a good life after their grandma’s death. Hudson was in charge of the bookstore. He and Sawyer have a sweet, low angst romance but also spicy! I enjoyed this start of a new series and definitely want more!
I am a sucker for any romance involving a bookstore so this one was a no brainer for me. It was a delightful read all the way around. I loved the two main characters, Hudson and Sawyer and their gentle, sweet friends to lovers story. I also love the setting of Pleasant Grove, Colorado. If the rest of the series is anywhere near as good as this first entry, we are all in for an amazing set of books.
A sweet story with little to no angst and a wonderful romance. Sawyer and Hudson are great characters and I really enjoyed watching their relationship grow. I like how they were building a friendship first and that carried over as they grew more serious about one another. I'm glad this is the first in the series because I'm looking forward to the stories of all of the characters introduced in this book. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.
So sweet and just a lovely read about Hudson and Sawyer. I am really sad with how Sawyer was treated by his family and in doing so flees hours away to his best friend where he meets Hudson and an adorable relationship starts. Really cute and happy moments and just a splash of angst, the side characters provided the best support and a perfect slice of humour. I loved how everyone supported each other and enjoyed their new found chance.
This is a sweet small town romance that hits you in the feels. Hudson and Sawyer make a sweet couple. Sawyer’s degree and background in marketing meshes perfectly with Hudson’s business degree to have a collaborative project that drives their relationship. The interspersed humor and good side characters made this a quick and fun read.
So first things first: I was given this free review copy ebook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
I actually loved this book more than I thought I would since I'm not usually into contemporary romances. However this book caught my attention early on and kept me interested the whole time. It wasn't too fast pace and a sweet read. I can not wait to read more in this series!
I loved this story, it’s a low angst, sweet book. I easily fell in love with Hudson and Sawyer, and really enjoyed the secondary characters. I’m so excited to read more books from this new series! Definitely recommend this book especially if you want a happy, sweet story without massive amounts of drama.
*I was lucky enough to get an ARC of this book and chose to give an honest review.
Hudson and Sawyer have one of those sweet love stories that just make you smile as you read. There is not a lot of angst in this story so if you're looking for sweet, this is it. Get a cappuccino and settle in for an enjoyable story with well developed characters, humor, heat, and secondary characters that make you wonder who is next.
I was worried based on the title it would be too sickly sweet and clichéd. It is sweet but in the best of ways and while mildly clichéd to start the characters weren't flat and the story definitely had some lol moments! I highly recommend if you are looking for some good humored fluff!
This book is sweet and fluffy just the way I like it and I love it, very much. Hudson and Sawyet are very lovable characters, lovey dovey and always taking care of each other.
This is a sweet, enjoyable, start to a new series with wonderful main and secondary characters that kept things interesting. There’s a bit of heat, no angst and amusing ugly Christmas sweaters. I’m looking forward to more in the series.
Fairy Tales and Cappuccinos, was a super cute read. I really enjoyed Hudson and Sawyer love story, and the side characters! I love books like this because when you finish, it leaves you still wanting more but happy. I'm so looking forward to Chris and Ford's adventures!
I love Taylor's writing. I really enjoyed Sawyer and Hudson's story. I appreciated that the focus was simply on them and the development of their relationship with very little angst.
If you don't want to be left behind, read this book. It's the beginning of a whole new series and relationships that you've going to fall in love with. What an awesome way to kick off the new series.
