A (questioning) bisexual a few years away from turning the big 3-0 but you'd never guess it. It must be my eternal youth.

I'm currently obsessed with queer romances, comics, and manga of my favorite anime. Jordon Greene and Robbie Couch are my current favorite authors and I will discuss their books all day if you let me!

If you have recommendations, please let me know! I've got a mile-long TBR but I'm always looking to add more!

I also have short stories published in an anthology, "Behind Closed Doors: Best of Writers Assembled 2017" as well as the author of 3 poetry books - exposed, in this glass prism, and primality.

I really enjoyed Brooke's poetry style. I read the second edition on kindle and tagged SO many pages. I noted a few acrostic poems spelling out Fire and Wind. These are one of my favorite forms of poetry, and Brooke nailed it! She has a way with words. My absolute favorite line from this collection is: "Spill a little of yourself on the floor / but don't clean it up." SO good! Highly recommend this quick read to any poetry lover!

Brooke has a way with words that I simply adore. Vulnerable yet hopeful she writes about emotions that deeply resonate with me. I especially loved the poems “ruins”, “remnants” and “moon child”. Beautiful work, cannot wait to read more!

There are some nice lines in this book of poetry. Although you can't really see the poet in this book. Because the poems seem to be just that…"Someone writing poems". Therefore there's no emotion, heart, and soul. Maybe that will work for some but it didn't work for me. Overall it's a book that I would recommend anyone to read especially if studying how to write metaphoric poetry.

I saw the beautiful cover for Exposed and I was like, “I want it!” I downloaded it right then and there without a care for the synopsis and started reading it. There might have been only a handful of poems that resonated with me personally, but I loved Brooke Goodwin’s vulnerability, honesty, and voice. She had such interesting poems and they were very creative as well. I enjoyed reading Exposed — it was a fantastic collection and I’m here for seeing what Ms. Goodwin puts out in the future!

I CANNOT GET ENOUGH!!

This book is pure, unrefined, raw emotion. You get swept up in the magic of Brooke’s words on every page. Several times, I even got shivers while reading!

I just love how relatable all of these poems are. The only thing that I would request is more of them! The vivid description is mesmerizing. Everything about these poems speaks to your heart through the definitive voice of Brooke Goodwin.

I’m so glad that I got to buy a copy of this book, and if you love emotional poetry like I do, you have to buy this book too! You won’t be sorry.
