Rate this book
A serial killer stalks the streets. The city lives in fear. The winter of terror is here.
Heading to New York for a much-needed holiday, Andy and Emma hope some quality time will put their relationship back on track. But, when Andy wrecks his car in the Lincoln Tunnel and then disappears, it’s clear the city that never sleeps has other plans.

Teaming up with New York P.I. Niki Zadid, Leo and Allissa search the city. But this isn’t just another case, Emma's Leo's sister, he knew they were having problems, and should’ve done more to help.

When their investigation entangles with the plans of an unhinged killer, things become more complex and dangerous than any had imagined. The trio must navigate the city, from elite hangouts to dingy back streets, without falling foul of a murderer with a sickening endgame in mind.

WANTED, adventure lovers for hazardous journey. Must be prepared for nail-biting action, constant danger, fear around every corner, with safe return doubtful.

If that sounds like your sort of thing, in your choice of books at least, then come with me...

Hey there, I’m Luke Richardson, and I’m applying for the job as your next favorite author!

As an Amazon bestselling author, I've had the honour of sharing my stories with readers all around the world. Whether you're a history buff, a travel addict, or just looking for a little excitement in your reading, my books are sure to keep you on the edge of your seat.

I write books that take you on a journey to foreign and exotic places, blending history, adventure, and suspense into a gripping tale.

In my books, you'll find yourself transported to places like the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt, the glitzy skyscrapers of Hong Kong, or the shady backstreets of Kathmandu in Nepal. But it's not just about the locations; my stories are also filled with fascinating characters, unexpected twists, and edge-of-your-seat action.

It was visiting India for the first time that actually made me want to start writing. The sun had just risen as we landed at Mumbai airport. The taxi journey that followed was one of the most incredible of my life. I watched the city unfold like a story. People washing, children playing, chickens, cows, goats, all beside an eight-lane motorway.

I love sharing my stories and am proud to say that my books have been well-received by readers and reviewers. One of the greatest compliments I get is when people say that my books transport them to a new place. Although people often comment on the loveable characters, intricate plots, and fast-paced storytelling too. And I'm always working hard to bring you even more thrilling adventures.

So, if you're looking for a page-turning read that will take you on a journey to far-off lands, look no further than my books. I guarantee you won't be disappointed!

Leo and Allisa are back for this the 5th in the series about these pair of Private Investigators who travel to various places in the world trying to solve cases of Missing People
Now, this book can easily be read as a stand alone as there is enough short history given but obvs it is great to read as Book 5 in the series
New York carries on with the missing person theme but has a lot of layers to it - Leo is directly linked to the missing person ( was good to see how Leo handled this ) and also there is a serial killer on the loose in New York that Leo and Allisa find themselves involved with causing mayhem and peril to them both
There was some really great characters, good and really really bad, and as always with this author they were well introduced, had interesting back stories and were all in the book to play their part and played it well they did!
New York was described fantastically, the author has a great way of quickly making you feel you 'are there' and experiencing the place - the sounds, sights and people
The book is fast paced and as always full of action and lots going on, the story flows well so you always know what is happening
I love this series and although hard to choose I would say New York is my favourite and I hope there is more books to come in the series
Loved it

There are moments in life when the present leaves the past behind. The 4th thriller in Richardson’s series about Leo Keane starts peacefully before accelerating wildly. The sting in the tail reinforced that things rarely turn out as we expect. I can certainly understand why Leo has a bad feeling about New York. Let’s hope he prefers Riga, where I believe Alissa and he will find themselves heading next!

Be prepared to lock the doors and turn off your phone as you won't be able to put 'New York' down. After reading previous books in this series I am fond of the characters Leo and Allissa as they set out to find Andy in New York. Through their search they become entangled in the path of the serial killer and the tension mounts as danger stalks the streets. The continual twists and turns keep you guessing until the last minute. An excellent read. I love the short chapters and believable dialogue. Highly recommended.

In this book, Allisa and Leo finish one case and just get involved in another one involving family members. There are conflicting relationships, crime, lack of respect for partners, lack of respect for people in general, and one very sick mind. The story is fast-paced and the main characters seem to be on a rollercoaster but they finally get to see eye-to-eye on their relationship. At long last!!!!
As a member of the author´s ARC team, I received a free copy of this book and this is my honest review.

Luke Richardson has pulled this one out of the ball park with no exceptions.
I love the Leo and Allissa series.
When Leo's sister needs help after her husband Andy goes missing in New York on holiday at his brothers luxury apartment. Things aren't as perfect in the marriage that a holiday can fix and after a argument Emma takes Frankie to a motel overnight.
Andy wakes up to find them missing and in a drunken rage and more booze he finds the keys to his brothers car and crashes it. When he awakes he has no recollection of what happened or where he was.
Leo and Allissa head straight to New York from the island of St Lucia where they have finished their previous case.

Leo and Allissa are drawn into another fast paced thriller, making it impossible to put the book down. Putting the story in New York lends an air of “wish I was there”. We get to look into the mind of a serial killer and what a mind, scary. I love the work of this author,Luke Richardson, and highly recommend all his books. Can’t wait to read the next one.

This is the fifth in the series of books about Leo searching for missing people. This time its personal and he and
Allisa head off to New York to search for his brother in law.
I love this whole series as Luke has a special talent for capturing a "feel" of the place he writes about. You get the atmosphere as well as a cracking good story. This book is much darker than the previous ones. I couldn't put it down! Gritty, scary, exciting are just some of the adjectives I would use. You can read any of Lukes books in any order but obviously in order you get a good background story. Highly recommend this. Very clever story too.

This is fifth book in the Leo Keane series and again a real page turner. This time Leo and Alissia are called to New York in search of missing person. This time, however, it is a little closer to home for Leo, as the missing person is his brother in law. Leo's sister and her husband and child have taken a holiday to NYC, but after a drunken argument one night, the husband disappears. Leo and Alissia are called upon and seek the help of a local detective who knows NYC well. Whilst they attempt to find Leo's brother in law, they become aware that there is also a serial killer on the loose in NYC, as they keep seeing news reports of this. The book is narrated in the third person, between the events of Leo and Alissia and other characters in the book, which includes the serial killer of New York. The book had me intrigued as to who the serial killer was and how this was going to link with Leo and Alissia. Chapters are generally short, but pacey, keeping the book full of action and events that make you want to read and know more. The only thing that let this book down for me, especially being the 5th in a series, was that it could have been slightly longer with a few more twists and developments in the plot. It did feel quite short, and I just wish it could have been longer to enjoy more of it. Also, at the end of book 4 Leo and Alissia have an encounter where they begin to acknowledge their feelings for one another, but it is almost like this never happened in this book. If Luke Richardson is planning a 6th book, I look forward to which part of the world it will be set in and hope of a more in depth story line.

One of the absolute best thriller series available! Great writing, twisted plots and vibrant yet true to life characters. Just brilliant.

This case is personal. Leo and Allissa have become quite proficient at finding missing persons but the stakes seem much higher when Leo’s brother-in-law goes missing on holiday in New York.

With his sister is frantic, and a serial killer stalking the streets, will Leo and Allissa win this race against time?

I read this in one sitting, could not put it down. Leo and Allissa are vacationing when they receive a call that Andy is missing. Leo's brother in law. Andy and his wife Emma are staying at his brother's place in New York. Andy has been drinking and they have a fight. Andy takes his brother's Porsche and gets into an accident. He forgets where he is or why he is there. There is also a serial killer going after young women with a knife. A very exciting conclusion to this novel.

New York Nightfall - a review by Rosemary Kenny.

A publicity-seeking serial killer with the alias of the Downtown Ripper, hides in plain sight and brings death for some and danger for Leo and Alissa, who are having a well-earned break from their PI cases at Leo's sister's home in the Big Apple.
Luke Richardson has cleverly updated his original novel with multiple threads that twine storylines together into a thrilling conclusion.
Read New York Nightfall to find out whodunit and if you got it right...you'll be amazed!

This is book 4 of the series, and I can’t believe that it keeps getting better.

With the confluence of plots, a lost brother in-law, and a serial killer of women, the New York book was staged to be a turn-off for me. Honestly, I had low expectations.

But then, Leo and Allissa, with some help, managed to pull the story together and save three lives in the process. Amazing.

By the end of New York, you knew that there were better times ahead.

a ripper of a tale!

A bit disturbing, and perhaps a clue as to why Jack plied his trade in London. It took a while to get moving, and the introduction of Otto, the walking still, probably muddied the trail a little. However the tempo picked up, and ended in a frenzy as the knife wielding jerk copped his just desserts.
A good read, and hopefully a rescued marriage as a bonus.
