After the Orcinus Operation, life has calmed down for Nanalie. Beginning her second year as a “Receptionist Lady” with a new receptionist to help train, she has more duties than ever! But, capable as she is, she’s taking it all in stride. While both the identity of the demon that attacked the palace and the name it uttered—“Städel”—are still mysteries, life goes on. From every kingdom on the continent, mages of all different magic types are gathering to compete in the Wall Helenus, a massive magical tournament. In the midst of preparations for the tournament, however, Rockmann warns Nanalie that demons are “after her Ice-type blood”!? On top of that, it seems that there is a special reason why Nanalie just can’t seem to get Rockmann out of her life... The story of this optimistic young woman working and living in a fantasy world finally comes to a climax!

I am 98% positive that this is not a good book by any objective measure. Maybe even 99%. But for whatever questionable reason, I enjoyed it, and at the end of the day, if I'm not teaching it or reviewing it professionally, that's all that really counts.
Should also be more of a 3.5 (let me score it a 3.5, Goodreads, come on): the major storyline is really interesting/had promise and there are some good ideas in there, but because the plot points are packed in this one volume, the pacing isn't great.
It's a shame, I really liked where it was going with the whole origin story involving the elements. Characters still felt one-dimensional even if most of them are likeable.
I still enjoyed reading it, it's a fun read albeit predictable. 😅
Anyone else get really tired of all the internalized misogyny and the "too stupid to live" syndrome going on here? I still give the book 3 stars for having a happy ending and some other developments that were interesting, but the characters were really getting on my nerves in this one.
This prob one of the most predictable of the 3 books. I have to admit the whole series was pretty good. Would read again, very cute. There were some portions of the last book that confused me (prob due to the translation) but otherwise very good
A wonderful storyline that wove details from its predecessors to reach a stunning conclusion. The author and illustrator did a fine job of making the story come alive. A must read.
