Rate this book
Blood Moon, black dragon and six simple lessons. Can Zora stop the sorcerer’s curse?During the Rite of Familiar ritual, under the decennial Blood Moon Eve, Zora is lined up on stage to connect with her spirit guide. She prays that she will receive a rare animal familiar, which will give her access to advanced magical abilities, but soon wishes that she could revoke her prayers when she sees the fear in her godly mother’s, never before, panicked face. The familiar that bonds with Zora brings about an ancient magical prophecy of a Dragon King who cursed the world to end after his queen had stolen his four heir eggs. Three, the queen hid, but one was lost to the underworld and prophesied to rise to Earth as the most powerful sorcerer to ever walk the world. But the prophecy also tells of an irresistible love, who would be the only one able to bind the evil sorcerer’s powers by a kiss of deceit.“Zora, what is your purpose in life?”“To kill the sorcerer.”

Once upon a time, a dragon laid four eggs. One was lost and fell under the sway of evil forces. The other three were saved and distributed to the three corners of creation. This story introduces the first of the three dragons and it's host - a titan necromancer princess from the north.
The story is well written. The heroine is glib, irreverent and anything but the serious, sober mage you automatically expect of someone with such a serious quest, and I loved her for it. She has two male leads, the master who trains her and the earthly martial arts expert who loves her. She needs their guidance but battling the sorcerer is her task and hers alone.
This is the first story in a series and by the end of the book we still haven't, as far as we know, even met the sorcerer, so if you're looking for quick gratification, you should probably look elsewhere, but if you're looking for a fun romp in a magical universe and don't waiting a few books for the ultimate conflict (come on. You stuck with Star Wars) you might enjoy this one as much as I did.

Although I have read this story a while ago, after reading the blurb the story came easily back to me. I read this as a part of the Prophecy of Magic boxset, and enjoyed the story a lot, but mostly the male lead character. I was a bit conflicted about the heroine and her attitude, sometimes seeing her as a confident woman who sees her strengths, but sometimes just as a spoiled brat, rude and arrogant. She definitely needs the guidance of her skilled tutor in order to grow, accept the opinions of others to broaden her own horizons, and have the potential to success in her task. But the bonding ceremonial makes a great scene, and all in all, this was not an unpleasant read :)

She is waiting for her spirit guide in the ceremony hoping for a rare one but the one she gets shocks everyone. She gains the Dragon king. What is going to happen? Will it work out? Will it end in disaster? Can it be a good matching up? Follow her to see where her fate lies

This NC17 book is Book 1 of The Prophesied Sorcerer, in which the Titan Zora of Cirrus trains to descend to Earth to kill the Sorcerer, and can be read in an afternoon. I had an ARC and this voluntary review is my own opinion.

Wow

This book is a real page turner. Although it didn’t end the way I would like it is a cliffhanger, it ended in the only way it could and I’m eagerly starting the second book. Trust me you won’t be disappointed.

Excellent premise

An excellent premise. I liked the setting, the ideas and the characters, the execution just felt a bit rushed, I would have liked a longer book that went into more depth,. Still it was worth reading and continuing with the series.

An escape

A different realm, a prophecy and a class system. The story is a bit simplified, lacking some depth for the different social.norms.
