K.R. Meera is an Indian author, who writes in Malayalam. She won Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award in 2009 for her short-story, Ave Maria.She has also been noted as a screenplay writer of 4 serials.
Meera was born in Sasthamkotta, Kollam district in Kerala.She worked as a journalist in Malayala Manorama, later resigned to concentrate more on writing. She is also a well-known column-writer in Malayalam

First read of 2021, extremely happy with the choice. The beauty KR Meera's language made the right adding effortless. The way she conceived each of her stories and her commentary on patriarchal societies are thought-provoking. Her description of how she went from wanting to be the woman in a man's novel to wanting to write about women so that men can understand how egoistic they are, is so heart-warming. Will recommend to everyone.
