This is the first book by this author that I have read and she does not disappoint especially if you like romantic suspense with some heat!
Peyton West ends up in Tampa when her sister and brother-in-law are run down by a rogue motorist. Little did she know what the reason went much deeper than anyone can imagine. While we are presented with some of the facts from the outset, there are twists that no one could expect and it kept the story interesting. Her sister's doctor recommends her brother's investigative team. What he fails to mention is that they are all former SEALS and so you know that means they are going stay involved until the case is resolved. Their office is intriguing. They have a jet that they will take up in the air to ensure that no one is listening to the details of what they are working on at the time. The crazy thing is that these friends won a Powerball lottery of over a billion dollars, so they can pretty much afford whatever they want.
The suspense/mystery portion of the book is to determine who killed Dane and injured Brianne in the auto accident. As I mentioned, we are provided some details but as the story unfolds, more truths come to light. I always hear about people that can uncover the truth and that is what the team at Galaxy does in this scenario. These men have skills that we might only dream of having! But that is what needed to bring forth the truth and not allow those involved to get away with murder. Doesn't matter how powerful you think you are, the truth always wins.
Scott Hamilton aka Blaze is Peyton's point of contact and Dr. Nolan Hamilton's brother. There is something about Peyton that appeals to his baser self and the same could be said for Peyton. There is something about Blaze that triggers a desire within her and the sparks between them could set off a forest fire. Their relationship goes against everything Blaze could ever have expected or wanted, but there is something about Peyton that awakens a desire to protect her and her family. There are some intimate scenes between the two that are very steamy and detailed. The upside is that this is more than just a roll in the hay for both of them and they admit to having feelings for one another.
We give this book 4 paws up. It is a great way to heat up a winter night!

3-1/2 Stars!!
I love the idea of their being a group like Galaxy out there. These guys are badass. They go above & beyond for their clients. I really liked all of the guys & am looking forward to getting their stories as well.
I did like Peyton & Blaze’s story. These two were very hot together. I really liked getting to see both of them get justice & a happy ending.
I love conspiracies & trying to put all the pieces together. It was an interesting & different take getting the bad people’s perspective as well. Just when you think you have it all figured out, turns out your wrong.

Are you looking for a great suspenseful romance? Then look no further then this gem. We meet Blaze an ex SEAL who has created a company with his teammates that takes the jobs no one else can solve. They are fantastic at what they do which is why his brother refers Peyton to them. Her sister and brother in law were run down in a hit and run. When she starts asking questions she is stone walled hardcore style. Not able to let it go she ends up hiring Blaze who she just happens to have an immediate connection with. He feels the same way which makes for tense explosive start and when you add in the danger the suspense goes off the charts. Makes for engrossing read from start to finish. I totally loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.

Retrograde is a fantastic romantic suspense by Desiree Holt. Ms. Holt has delivered a well-written book populated with an outstanding cast of characters. Blaze and his former SEAL buddies continue helping people with their secret organization. Peyton is a writer and has dropped everything to go to her sister when she and her husband were hit by a car. Blaze and Peyton's story is packed with drama, smokin' hot sexy bits, action, humor and suspense. I enjoyed reading this book and can't wait for my next book by Desiree Holt. Retrograde is a fairly quick read, perfect for those with a short attention span or limited reading time. It is book 1 of the Galaxy Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliffhanger.

OH, THE MIGHTY SHALL FALL
Retrograde is a well plotted quite complex story that had me hooked from the very beginning. The twists and turns and surprises just kept happening at a very rapid pace, an edge of your seat mix of action and sizzling romance and tension and revelations and finally elation.
What a fantastic start to a new series, it doesn’t get any better than this. Highly recommend.

Retrograde is full of action and heat. This book will get your heart racing in more ways than one. Whether it's the action or the heat between Peyton and Blaze, you'll be turning pages until the end. There are enough twists to keep the plot interesting, and the pacing is perfect. Definitely a book to keep a cool glass of water nearby while reading!

Wowza!!!
This was a great story! Once again this author invented a group of men that take on the hard problems other can't solve. Blaze was a fantastic character and a part of Galaxy. Peyton was also wonderful and needed their help. This story had it all. Suspense, action, romance,and sexy time. I can't wait for the next one! Loved it!

This was a good start to a new series from Desiree Holt, Blaze and Peyton's connection was swift but solid, plenty of action, suspense and I love the airplane for an office idea, looking forward to the next book.

What a great story
I loved it, the tragedy, heartbreak, a great team working for you and finding the love of your life. It tore at your heart while making you so angry that people could do the things they do without regard for others. Can't wait until book 2 comes out.

Absolutely enjoyed Blaze and Peyton's story, it was thriilling how Galaxy was started, and caught the culprits solving more than one crime. Can't wait to finish the next one. Thanks Desiree.
