Becoming the superhero Blue Spekter was supposed to be fun for Quinn, the realization of a childhood dream. But the insidious Order hijacked his dream-come-true by twisting his best friend Blake into the feared supervillain Dark Flame.
Now, The Order wants Dark Flame to kill Quinn and erase Blue Spekter from history.
For Quinn, junior year is no longer about surviving high school; it's about survival and protecting the ones he loves.
But can he?
Does Quinn have the courage to stop Blake and take down The Order, no matter the cost?
ULTIMATE SACRIFICE is the fourth book of The Guardian Series and is part of the Spekter Superhero Universe.
Damien Benoit-Ledoux is an author and freelance editor. His mind is a magical and nerdy place where fantastic heroes defend amazing worlds from dangerous villains who run amuck in an epic struggle to take over the universe. Recently, the brightest and best from this colorful cast of characters have made their way into notes, plots, stories, and novels for you to read and enjoy.
Damien strongly believes the real world we live in should be a place where LGBTQ equality and respect are second nature and never questioned. When he's not working or spending time with his husband, their two beautiful sons, and their dog, Damien weaves this philosophy into the exciting lives of his characters and the fantastic space battles and romances they endure so they'll stop taking over his dreams at night.
And finally, he wants you to remember a very important thing: No matter how bad your day is at work, it’s always important to be grateful that you don’t work for a Sith Lord.
Ultimate Sacrifice is a fantastic addition to Damien Benoit-Ledoux's Guardians series! This, the fourth book in the series has really upped the ante for our hero. Full of both action and adventure, you don't want to miss this book!

Quinn, Keegan and family run together what I assume to be marathons together. Tim and Aren ran ahead together with friends and coworkers, while Quinn hung back to run slower with his boyfriend Keegan as he’s not a runner. Unfortunately Quinn is grounded, all he’s allowed to do is school, work and home. Quinn got grounded for skipping school, but when his boyfriend asks why he skipped Quinn lied and stated he didn’t feel good that morning, however he was feeling better later that morning and went for a walk which was why he got in trouble. They ran every year together. The real reason he was on restriction was because his dad rearranged his schedule to be home with him. He was finally let off restriction and Keegan was allowed to come visit. Quinn agrees meets with Garcia after school Monday her response was it’s time to teach him everything she knows.
I liked the book however, the format really sucked. I get it’s an ARC copy but to announce every few pages was really, really irritating as it broke up the flow of the book to have the name of the book followed by ARC copy right authors name. If you suffer from OCD then you get my point. It also makes me wonder if I purchase this book will it still be broken up like just minus the ARC part? I can honestly it’s a real possibility that, that alone has colored my view of this book as it was really hard to get into. This is the first book in this series I have read which wasn’t an issue even it states it’s not a standalone. The review format on the other hand for me was no good, unfortunately this did for me take away from the number of stars the book received. For some reason I have found lately that authors ask that minor errors and things of that nature to be disregarded as they will get fixed before the book launch, but there are certain things I cannot disregard and this just hit number one on my list of things I cannot disregard as this is the first time I have encountered this in an ARC. Hopefully this was corrected before the book was released and I hope you enjoy it. THREE and a HALF STARS.

“Guardians Unlimited Sacrifice” by Damien Benoit-Ledoux
I’m going to be honest it took me a while to get into book four. I say this because the first three books, even though in a series, had it own pace, story, timeline and so forth. For a good part of book four it felt like book three and when you used to each book having its own identity in the series as a whole, it kinda threw me off. The more I read, the more book four became its own. What I’m trying to say is book 1-3 can stand alone and be there own single book as book four can’t it’s very connected to book three…if that makes any damn since.
I can’t put into work how the end of book four made me feel. The last 8 chapters were so intense. The fights between Blake and Quinn. Quinn trying to save his friend, and he did but did he really? Blake is dead….Victor has powers and an army. Ana Marie what is wrong with her, why is she stuck in the past? I’m so much fear? In book five I hope I get the answers I’m looking for.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 🏳️🌈

Making monsters isn't easy, but controlling them is a whole new level of difficult. There's a power struggle at the Order, Victor's organized cunning against Blake's ruthless wielding of superpowers. Caution is the first casualty and by no means the last.
The novel opens quietly, though, with Quinn and his boyfriend and his dads, their happy life showing what's at stake here and providing a contrast to Blake's bleak existence. Quinn continues to develop as a superhero, learning more about how his powers work and building his team. And before too long he's ready to move against Blake and the Order, but you can sense tragedy in the air as the triangular struggle unfolds.
In some ways it's not to my taste – it's often gory and gritty – but it's pretty darn amazing anyway. I can't wait to see what happens next.
Once again, I was thoroughly satisfied with this read. I took a break between reading the third and fourth books because I found myself wanting to savor the series as long as I could. The growth of Blake as a character gives great insight into the complexity of an antagonist. I’d love to see a bit more self doubt in Quinn’s character, as he always seems to do the right thing with little hesitation. Overall, though, a fun read and a unique voice. Can’t wait to start the finale!
This series isn't the first superpower story I've read, but its quickly becoming one of my favorites. Very well done sir! You can tell the author knows is comics and I love the humanity of the characters. Thanks for great tale! "You should have stayed with Yoda on Dagobah!" Lmao loved it
He is the first superhuman but life is not easy and he is trying to keep his family and friends safe but it will not be easy. There are many twists and turns which will have you wondering what will happen next.
