I can't stop reading this series! I wasn't fond of the heroine. She is a sex slave and uses her body to get what she wants but she has a strong and feisty personality. I didn't really see chemistry between the hero and heroine but the last bit was action packed. I also like how the author ties in the characters from the previous book.

Even if I hadn't started this series from book 6 I still would have known how this will play out. It's one of the things I like about this sort of books because it lets me relax and not worry too much about the outcome.

Part of me enjoys alien abductions novels immensely, another part is enraged by them. So it's always an emotional experience when I get my hand on one of those. Usually the male lead is a total douche but in this series the male leads aren't all that exasperating at the start. The real evil bastards are the Ocretions that enslaved humanity centuries ago. I hate the system that separates families and as a result loved that this ended with a family reunion of the rescued slaves. That doesn't mean that there weren't moments when I wanted to strangle Rok. But he did have his strong moments. And it helped that we had his POV to see inside his head.

This is book 2 in the series, and although you'll understand a bit better about the crystals and the Zandian species if you read book 1 first, it's not necessary.
Lily is a sex slave but escapes with a group of other slaves, finding herself aboard Rok's ship. Distracting Rok in the way only a seasoned sex slave can, Lily does her thang while the rest of her ragtag team of escaped slaves overpowers Rok's meager crew, eventually leaving Rok and his buddies stranded on some random planet.

Rok wants revenge.

He happens upon Lily while making a delivery to some rebels and arranges for her purchase. Now, a lot of reviews were screaming about how much Lily was raped by those 18 rebels and how awful it was because she and Rok had sex pretty much right after--how utterly unbelievable that made her character. I read the reviews, and then I read the book...

One--Lily used to be a sex slave. Now I'm not saying that makes rape okay (of course I'm not saying that!), but she mentally checks out during the scene, treated it like they were clients of her former master. Bottom line, it was not all that traumatic for her, so it did not surprise me that she was okay to get down and dirty with Rok so soon after.

Two--(and this one is important) It's a book about alien love.

After he gets Lily in his clutches, it's sexy good times with a side of punishment. Throw in some drama with some fight scenes so Rok can realize how much he cares about her, and you've got yourself a hot little entertaining read.

Sidenote--I do think it's cute that this is a clean read as far as language goes. The author uses "vecked" instead of the f-word and "excrement." Been a while since I read something without curse words ;)

A satisfying read overall and naughty Renee did leave us on a cliffhanger with the last book, so it was great to revisit the Zandians with Rok and Lily.

After Rok discovers Lily hiding on board his ship, he finds himself irresistibly attracted to the human sex slave, but Rok lets her stay on board without alerting the authorities. Not trusting Rok and his crew, Lily steals his ship leaving him and his crew stranded on an abandoned planet. Rok doesn’t stop looking for her and on a routine stop to Prince Zander’s ship, he discovers his prince mated to Lily’s twin. Rok is ordered to find and bring Lily to the prince, which happily coincides with his personal mission of finding Lily. But after he captures her, Rok finds himself still attracted to her and cannot help be drawn to her.

Lily is also fighting her attraction to the Zandian warrior, which scares her as she has never felt attraction for a male. Being a sex slave, she has never been interested in sex and has always let her mind drift when she was being used. But, Rok demands everything including her heart which she isn’t ready to give, and she is determined to escape him again before she looses her heart to Rok.

I was really looking forward to this story because of that damn cliffhanger in the first book! Rok I liked more than Zander and it was nice to have a story about a civilian Zandian from a humble background who has worked hard to be where he is. I also enjoyed the camaraderie, trust and loyalty between him and his crew. Lily’s personal growth and ultimately her eventual love for Rok was poignant and sweet and it was gratifying to see them get their happy ending.

I'm really liking this series!

This is the second book of the Zandian series. The books have to be read in order as there is a storyline arc of the fight to take the Zandian home word back from the aliens who now control it. I really liked this story of Lamira's sister Lilly and Rok.

It's a formulaic, alien/human slave trope. The H is huge, grumpy and besotted with the h, who has been enslaved for years. Vague memories of being loved but her life has been awful. She's genuine, and tries to not lose her mind to the horror of her past. He rescues her and pretends she doesn't mean anything to him, but when he loses her, nothing will stop him from getting his mate back. Just OK.

What's not to like about large purple aliens with *ahem* sensitive horns? Well, as I've discovered, there's very little not to like, and I'm really enjoying this series by Renee Rose. His Human Prisoner follows His Human Slave, although most of it takes place away from the crystal laden Zandian pod. It is not necessary to read the first book, but I highly recommend it as a few things may be a bit confusing otherwise.

Besides the change in location, Rok was considerably less mired in protocol and superiority than Zander, and, to me, more approachable as a result. Lily has grown up as an Ocretian sex slave with little to no memory of her human family, but a strong sense of loyalty. Lily initially meets Rok during an escape that leaves him eager to find and punish her for the loss of his ship. Unfortunately, Rok's need for retribution causes many miscommunications and misunderstandings, as well as some deliciously hot scenes involving the above mentioned "sensitive horns". I love the touches of humor among the often dark situations Lily and Rok find themselves.

This book is good, but does suffer from "middle book syndrome" in my opinion. The central relationship is resolved to my satisfaction, but there are still questions about Lily's relationship with her family. Luckily, a third book is on the way and I can't wait to read about Lamira and Lily's mom, Leora, and Seke, yet another hunky purple alien!

Alien Smut..

It’s either weirdly enjoyable or just so off that you question your own sanity.

Sadly this was the latter.
Writing about being a sex-slave is a difficult tropic, one that’s supposed to provoke feelings of angst, anger and flat out pain.
I really wanted to feel these things for Lily. I truly did, but I couldn’t seem to connect at all to her and her pain. It seemed so “floating”. And Rok? He did seem a lot more of a user than someone who decided he wanted to protect her.
And I don’t care how small men’s dick are, if you have just been used by 18 men, you can feel that.🤷🏻‍♀️

I guess I just didn’t ship them.
No deep connections, no strong emotions, and just not something I particularly liked.

Action-wise we were severely lacking. It did pick up in the end, but not enough to hold the story.

So I tried really really really hard to continue the series only because I'm invested in the characters. However I do not understand this BDSM world nor am I one hundred percent comfortable with it. There were a couple of graphic scenes that occurred within this book.

In my previous review from His Human Slave, https://www.goodreads.com/review/show..., I told myself I was going to continue with the series because of the unanswered questions that I had for certain characters. This book had a lot of unanswered questions as well but I don't know if I can continue this madness. There's a lot going on and some of it is not that good.

This book is graphic and there's a lot of intense things that are happening within this series. I might need a year to read the next book because I don't think I can consume all of this intensity back to back like I tend to do with certain series. I will read the next book but I'm really hoping that it is not as graphic as the previous two books.

This was book 2 in the Zandian Masters Series Lily who is Lamira's sister she was taken to the sex slave training when she was a baby. When she and the other sex slaves ran away she stole a space ship that belonged to Rok. When he goes to Prince Zander's Pod to recharge he sees Lamira he thinks that she is Lily. Rok finds her after a group of rogue humans kidnap and rape her he buys her from him. Lily doesn't what to think about him she was a sex slave but she learned how to go inside herself while her master used her but with Rok she gets aroused by him. Rok doesn't know what to think about her either he has never met a girl like her. The sex scenes between these two were hot Lily didn't think she could be aroused by being spanked. When she is stolen again she is taken to a death camp and it is up to Rok to get her back so he goes to Zander and tells him that he found her and where she was taken and that he needed her help getting her back. While on the ship he realize that Lamira and her mother have slipped on and are going with him and the Prince is furious. This was a pretty good read with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

This short book is book two in the series, but could be read as a standalone. (I would recommend reading them in the proper order to get the context of the family relationships.) I rated the first book 5 stars and I enjoyed this one too. For me, the difference between the two books stems from the fact that I enjoyed the dynamics of the H/h relationship, kinky sexual situations and dom/sub elements more in the first book than in the 2nd book. Still, both are enjoyable stories and deliver panty melting, big alien, spank me hard and make me yours fun.

Not for me.

I couldn't quite take to this story. I felt found no emotional connection between Rok and Lily. I found Rok a hypocrite, he made his distaste of the men who abused Lily known, yet did exactly the same. Even when in Roks ways it was meant to be some sort of BDSM, it felt cold and cruel coming on the back of her abuse.
Not really for me but each to their own.

His Human Prisoner is the second book in the Zandian Master’s series by Renee Rose. It is an erotic sci-fi romance- with action, adventure, drama, emotion, sizzle, intrigue, and humour. It could be read as a standalone, but the series is such a fun and entertaining read- so why would you want to stop at one?
Lily and a group of other slaves had escaped and managed to stow away on a spaceship- which they then hi-jack, and then leave the crew on an abandoned planet. So, what happens when the ‘owner’ of the spaceship finally tracks her down? He’s been searching for eight long months, and he’s NOT happy- he lost a LOT of time, money, and pride in the process. Things are about to get very interesting, and this book is so worth the read to find out what happens.
I LOVED this book so much. It was such a fun read, and a little different from what I’ve been reading of late. I have read other books in this series, but as you can probably tell, I haven’t been reading them in sequence. I haven’t found that to be a problem at all, because as I already mentioned, they can all be read as standalones.
Lily and Rok are fantastic characters, and I was immediately drawn to them and their story. There were funny moments, tender and emotional scenes, sizzling panty melting encounters, imaginative and clever touches, and spectacular world-building- which really sets this story apart from a lot of others in the same genre. The story is so wonderfully descriptive and intricately detailed- from the ‘world/s’ visited, to the spacecraft, to the language, culture, clothing, personalities, and multiple types of lifeforms/beings- Ms. Rose weaves her magic over the entire story- leaving nothing to chance…. and let me tell you, this lady has some serious skills when it comes to writing a memorable story.

Can't believe how good this novel was after the disappointing His Human Slave: An Alien Warrior Romance which I rated one star. What a fantastic departure.

Awesome Hero and spanky heroine. Hot smexy D/s. Hero was such a devious and fun Dom! The heroine Lily really went through both emotional and sexual character development and it was lovely to watch. And the romance was so warm and sweet.

This Hero, Rok, was no comparison to the shallow Zander in the first book. He had humble roots and had grown up as the son of the maintenance guy at the royal palace. He was fostered by a different race after his father died. He worked side by side and led a motley crew of differing alien species. Rok was considerate and decent, and an excellent lover. He was in touch with his feelings too plus expressed them. I really liked this character.

And of course, Zander continued to act like a superior asshat in this book. I really want see him get his comeuppance for his Zandian superiority complex.

OMG!!! AHHHHH, I want to scream. You left us on a cliff hanger. I am so freaking out. LOL I love this series. When I first read "His Human Slave" in Human Surrender, I totally fell in love with the story. And to read what happened to Lamira's sister Lily that she was searching for was great. I did feel so sorry for the fact that Lily had been a sex slave for 7yrs. But thank goodness Rok saved her. I just love the way that the feelings they had for one another was there from the beginning.

I am worried about how Zander is treating Lamira though. Is he going to stay mad at her? She always has her doubts about his "love" for her. I am sooooooo looking for to the next book with Leola and Seke. We all knew from the first book that there was something there between them. But I hope that we also find out what will happen with Lamira. She may be Zander's mate but her heart always seems afraid of loss.

I like these. they're pretty fluff, plenty o' sex and there are some feels in there. I hated the dudes, the J names that I now forget, I wanted to smack them around a bit. This one was about Lily, the sister from the first, she was a sweet character, a little spunk and defiance, but as the stories are pretty short, there isn't much time to get too deep into it. It would have been good to get a little more on Rok, I think he could have been pretty interesting, as he seemed a little shady-lol

I enjoyed this semi action, full blown sci-fi romance. I am always happy to read instant type romances, who doesn't want to fall in love? The sensual scenes were a little excessive, but it could've been worse seeing as Lily was a sex slave. I'm not sure if I'll be continuing the series, but I will say I am intrigued.

Very different but pretty interesting

I didn't get to read the first book in this series since it wasn't available for kindle unlimited but this one was so I decided to give it a try and I have to admit I've never had any interest for alien sci-fi romance novels but I have been kind of intrigued by Renee Rose's BDSM story lines I started off reading the Alpha Bad Boys and really enjoyed that one series but when I tried to read the others the first book seemed like a repeat of the other series I had just finished so I searched through her other books and came across this and the cover looked interesting enough so I decided to give it a try and it was definitely WAY different then what I'm use to reading. I love Shifters and Vampires heck I've even gotten into some of the Faye stories but never really alien sci-fi romance novels but the story line is interesting enough to keep you reading and it's really weird how they speak instead of saying F*ck they say Veck and instead of Sh*t it's excrement LoL and Lord have mercy the man Rok had horns that moved and were very sensitive if u know what I mean she gives a new meaning to BJ LoL and there is lots and lots of punishing, spankings, and there was even a rape but she wrote it very discretely I guess is the best word to use to describe it after She steals Roks spaceship they crash land on this planet and the other escapees die in a explosion and she is taken hostage by rebel men who all have their way with her she doesn't go into details but with the way she writes it you can just tell it was horrible for her and I felt really bad for the girl but I have to say she didn't seem too bright to me you're stuck on a ship with an alien who feeds you lets you take regular showers you sleep in his warm bed, yeah he may spank you and punish you then screw your brains out but me I think I'd pick him as the lesser of the two evils LoL but nope she always tries to escape but he always manages to save her in the end it was a happy ending with promises of big changes for their planet and the slaves so I really hope the other books are available for kindle unlimited users so I can finish this series
