'ARROGANT HEIR' is the second full length romance book in 'Author Michelle Heard's 'The Heirs' series. Spoken in 'Dual perspectives.'

After reading the previous book and getting sucked into this group's dynamics I was highly anticipating Jace and Mila's book. I crazy love the troupe childhood friends to lovers, throw in unrequited love and I'm all in feet and all.

As I was lulled into a false sense of security reading of Jase and Mila's backwards and forwards angsty dance as they struggled to try not to overstep the boundaries of their unique friendship a debilitating twist had my heart in tatters, my emotions went haywire as I tried to reel them in. It was such a raw moment, but within the darkness a real Clark Kent stepped up and became her knight in shining armour.

128424086-10221411537231723-617191244416273830-o

Just before it was to late for him to make a stand he realised how much his feelings for Mila actually were. Even though Mila has been in love with him since she was fifteen it took him a wee while to catch the feels, though going by his flirty ways I think it was already there just simmering away in the background ready to ignite when the right timing struck.

In the blink of an eye he put his playboy ways behind him. These two were perfect for each other. I couldn't get enough of them, I never wanted this to end.

This is where this author truly shows her talent, you never know where she's going to lead you until it's too late, it's those twists and turns which I thrive for, it's what makes my reading experience so enjoyable because with this author you can never predict which way she's going to go.

Everything this author threw at me I felt, raw, realistic, riveting. I laughed, I cried, I swooned, I inhaled it..

Update: So I had originally DNF'd this but since I had nothing better to do I kept reading. Also, after so many other books by this author I had a feeling the H was going to turn around soon. It's a 3 star book but taking a point off for some really annoying plot devices.

SPOILERS BELOW

Cons:

First half of the book pretty much, due to:

- OW drama. You guys know the annoying OW plot device where the OW takes the H by surprise and kisses him unwillingly and the h just happens to catch the kiss and not see the full context of what happened? It's really annoying right? In this book we see that not once but MULTIPLE times!! OW lays one on the H and h sees and runs away, or OW is hanging a little too close to H and h sees and runs away. It was used too many times.

- So the h has been in love with H since she was 15 and him 18 and chapter 1 she goes over to his place to profess her love and catches him with OW (straddling him/kissing)- and 2 other OW were about to join them??? But he just recently started feeling more for her and in the present time he allows OW to take him to her room and kisses her before realizing "it feels wrong" and leaving. I can't stand that shit.

- He wasn't the "playboy" he allowed h to think he was but he was still sexually experienced while h had to watch him with ow throughout the years. And she saved herself for him, cause why not??? We wouldn't want her to look like a slut if she had some sexual experience to match, right!? Authors pleaseeeee stop doing this.

Pros:

- Like many other Michelle Heard books, the h goes through something traumatic and the H is there for her. I really enjoyed how devoted the H became and was pretty much her rock and would not leave her alone. This is why I kept reading even though the above stuff bothered me so much.

- Sexy times were more NA this time around, thank you!! The first book legit felt like a YA read.

Notes:

-Not sure how the future books are going to go. They're all in the same friend group since birth so I feel like we might get rehashes of books 1&2. Either the couple will hate each others guts or be afraid to start anything to disrupt the group dynamic and risk losing friendship. These storylines are pretty standard/boring so I'm hoping for something new.

- - -

DNF.

I've read so many 4-5 star books by Michelle Heard so I'm a little sad to be saying this wasn't my cup of tea.

Spoilers below:

I can't stand "playboys" paired with the pathetic virgin who's been in love with him since forever and doesn't date anyone while he goes through girls. Also him going over to OWs room with intentions of sleeping with her while he's freaking out about his growing feelings for h was sooo wrong. Idc if he left after kissing the fact that it happened at it is annoying af. Not safe for safety gang.

DNF-ed this book around 40%.

It is me, not the book.

Friends to lovers books have never been my thing. It is just not the trope for me. So I usually never read them.

The reason I started reading this book was that I absolutely adore the 'I tried kissing my best friend' and 'I wanna ruin our friendship' tiktoks. Since I love them so much, I thought maybe my opinion about friends to lovers books had also changed. But nope. That is not the case.

That's it. Hence, I will not be rating this book.

"Arrogant Heir" is the second book of "The Heirs" series by Michelle Heard. Told in dual Perspectives , get ready to meet Mila and Jase!!

When I first read about the chemistry these two had and the fact that they had been friends from their childhood in the first book of this series , I swear my brain just went crazy with the need to have their book!! I remember how much I screamed when I found out that their book was next!! There is nothing more addictive to me than a book with a playboy as the main lead and a girl who has always loved him!!

Jase is the playboy of his group. Mila has always been his best friend. That is until he started flirted with her as a game. Now he is addicted to the way he makes her all flustered and what started as a game has developed into something much more. But he is not sure if he is willing to risk his friendship with her for something more. That is until a tragedy strikes and he knows that he can't stay away from her anymore.

Mila has always loved Jase. She thought of telling him about her feelings years ago but then she always saw him with a new girl so she gave up soon. Now after years he is flirting with her and bringing back all those forbidden feelings and she is not sure that she will survive this time . That is until her life gets destroyed. Now it's only jase in whose arms she finds comfort and there is no way she is letting go of him now !!

I absolutely lives the hell out of this book! Jase and mila were life and they had me crying , swooning and laughing at the same time! The story is flawlessly written and the way the author has given us those crumbs of hints for the stories of the future characters just drove me crazy!!!! How long do I have to wait for the next book?? 😭😭😭

I am so sure that this series is definitely going to be one of the best contemporary romances ever! A definite recommendation to all the Romance genre lovers! If you are into themes like second chances and childhood best friends with a playboy as the male lead , then please one click this book by all means!

What happens when one friend had been love with the other for years and he didn't see her as anything more until one day he finally did? What happens when life throws you such a curveball you think your world is never going to be the same? These are just a couple of the hard hitting subjects Michelle Heard tackles in Arrogant Heir.

Michelle Heard had tears leaking from my eyes, sobs breaking from my throat, and my heart was in my stomach the entire time I was reading about the brutal attack that Mila endured. It felt as if I was right there with her and oh my word, it definitely left an impact.

Her rape story made me cry for more than 15 minutes!
But the rest of the story was meh. Probably like any other story where H tries to help h cope up in her life after near rape incident.
Plus, the privileges they all got made it sound even more boring.

***4 "My Superman!!!" stars***

NOW AVAILABLE!

"Expectations and assumptions are the mothers of all fuck ups." -Mila West

After meeting Jase and Mila in the first book of the series "Coldhearted Heir", i was anticipating their story very much... And here we are!!!
This is a beautiful story of unrequired loved and friendship... It shows how fragile are things and how unexpected things can ruin you irreparable!!!
I really loved this story and I liked how Jase and Mila found their way to each other, even though the road wasn't paved only with roses, but with thorns as well!!!

"Jase and Mila fell in love, but they fought each other at every turn.
Jase fell down, and broke his crown;
And Mila?
Mila's life shattered to pieces."

To be totally honest with you, if you have read the first book, you wouldn't know that Mila was in love with Jase from the age of 15... Yep, she seemed a little bit sour toward him and irritated with his childish behavior and his consistent flirting, but you would thought that she would dislike him!!! Hell, Michelle persuaded me in the first book that that was MIla's deal. But I couldn't be more wrong!!!
She was just a girl in love with one of her best friends and her heart was broken cause she knew that he was the biggest player out there... She was just trying to forget him and save noy only her heart, but also their friendship!!!

"Nothing sucks like unrequired love. To Jase, it's nothing more than innocent flirt, but for me, it's torture."

Jase was a player, but lately, he is starting to realize that soon his life will change drastically as he has to become the leader of the family business... Also, for an unknown reason, he is full of excitement to tease shamelessly his best friend, Mila and to made her blush with his flirting ways... Also, he is starting to notice how Mila had turned from a girl to a woman, but still... they are just friends. Right???

"Yeah, I'm definitely getting addicted to the push and pull between us. But the real question is, does Mila feel it too?"

Well, the only sure thing is that there was too much tension between Jase and Mila when they were at the same breathing space... The truth is that it took some time and something very bad to make Jase realize that this tension between them was sexual...
Unfortunately, fate pressured them to realize it sooner than they had to and darn, it robbed them from Mila's innocence and free spirit!!!

"Everyone is starting to notice something is going on between Jase and me. The only problem is that Jase is just joking. And me? I'm hopelessly in love with him."

"Mila's fierce. She's a fighter. She'll come back from this."
I nod. "I know she will."
"And so will you."

Nope, I won't say more about this story...
I loved Mila and I could understand her feelings!!! Darn!!! My heart was aching for what happened to her, but thank God that love can be a strong weapon and can help you overcome everything!!!
And yes, Jase might be seemed as reckless and a manwhore, but when time needed he became a fierce protector and his love gave strength to Mila!!!
These two were just perfect for each other, even when hurt had knocked on their door!!!

"I've never seen this side of Jase before. He's so... he's a force of strength. He's solid and unwavering, where I'm a mess with no ground beneath my feet."

"I'd do anything for Mila. I'd fucking burn this place down if it would help her heal any faster."

I have read only three books by Michelle Heard but the woman knows how to write intriguing and captivating stories!!! I believe I'm in love with all these heirs and I can not wait to read more and more of them!!!
Even though, i have to admit that I'm still a little bit confused with all these names and connection between them!!! LOL!!!
And now, I'm so ready for "Defiant Heir". Bring it on, girl!!!

"I don't know how it happened, but a God fell in love with a broken soul. He collected every piece and put me back together, using my only dream as glue."

4.5 stars!

Ever since I finished the Trinity Academy series by Michelle, I have been so ready to read the spin off series starring their kids, and the kids from the Enemies To Lovers series. The crossover of these two worlds began in the final two books of the Trinity Academy series and I was excited to see all the kids grown up and ready to have their own HEAs. Arrogant Heir is book 2 in the Heirs series but can be read as a standalone.

Mila West has been in love with Jase Reyes since she was 15 but has never brought up the courage to tell him how she feels. He’s an arrogant, playboy flirt, who’s always seen her as a friend, but now they are living together at college, it’s a chance for her to show him what he’s missing. Jase has never seen Mila in as anything other than a friend, but since the start of the semester, he can’t seem to stop flirting with her or teasing her to get her attention. He’s confused as to why he’s feeling like this and knows that he needs to do something about it soon as it’s causing tension between him and Mila, but also within their friend group. Just as he realises his feelings aren’t of friendship, but of so much more, something traumatic and terrible happens to Mila, and Jase is the one there to help. They form a tight bond, with Jase becoming the only place Mila feels comfortable. He helps her with the aftermath, and is the only one who can see how she’s really feeling, but is it enough to prove to Mila that his feelings for her are real and not of obligation?

I will admit I struggled with Jase initially because of how clueless he was with Mila’s feelings. He almost seemed to intentionally ignore the fact she is in love with him, because he is scared of the ramifications of what may happen to their friendship if he addresses it but continues to flirt with her. He himself was confused by his feelings for Mila, unsure as to why he had this intense attraction to someone he only saw as a friend, but after the incident, wow, does he step up and finally be the person Mila has needed all along. He’s her rock, he’s there for her no matter what and they can build a different kind of relationship, one of love, from a solid base of trust.

I felt for Mila, Jase messed her around at the beginning, confusing her constantly with his hot and cold behaviour, but she tried her best to get over her feelings. After the incident, he was her safe place, the only one she felt truly comfortable with, and I was sort of worried that she would become reliant on him, but that didn’t happen because she was aware of that being an outcome, so tried to prevent it. She didn’t want him to feel trapped, so tried to let him go and my heart ached for her when she couldn’t understand why Jase could feel that way about her, like she wasn’t enough. But once she realised that his feelings were real, it really helped with her recovery to know she was loved in that way.

Their attraction was there from the start, even though it took Jase a lot longer to realise the change in their feelings for each other, but their bond became even stronger as they went through the aftermath of the incident. I liked how Jase was there for Mila, but never treated her differently afterwards. He was the same jokey guy, but in a more caring way, it just made her feel so much more comfortable. Even though it’s still a slow burn romance, I didn’t feel cheated of them as a couple like I did in Coldhearted Heir (but I was glad to see more of Hunter and Jade together in this book!), and I liked how they built a solid foundation for their relationship before anything physical happened between them.

Overall, I adored all these characters, although I did have to draw a family tree to remember who everyone was because there was an overload of names at the beginning, but it set up all the future relationships between the offspring nicely. I am still so intrigued by Hana’s story, but the hints of Fallon and Kao were steamy throughout this book and I’m so excited to see their love story play out next. This series is already so great from the first two books, I can’t wait for the rest of them coming so soon too!

OMFG! What a freaking ride Arrogant Heir was! Michelle Heard took me on a ride I wasn't expecting. She really went for the heart with this one.

Mila West has been in love with Jase Reyes for as long as she can remember. Jase Reyes has been breaking Mila West's heart for as long as she can remember. This friends to lovers book is an emotional rollercoaster. Mila takes Jase's behavior as a sign he doesn't have the same feelings she does. But Jase doesn't even realize he has feelings for her until they punch him in the face. This internal battle Jase has with himself is painful to read. I wanted to slap him so many times for being so hardheaded.

When what happens to Mila happens I cried and my heart broke for her and it broke for Jase. I knew Jase would blame himself because he let her leave. The amount of pain Jase felt for Mila was gut wrenching. While the scene doesn't last that long I repeated to myself multiple times that it wasn't happening it couldn't be. But it was and it was the hardest scene I've read from Heard and I've read all of her books.

The bond that Jase and Mila share is so much more than friendship. Jase is the only person Mila feels relaxed around from the minute she wakes up in the hospital. When her dad went to touch her she flinched. When Jase touched her she relaxed. Mila and Jase both had trouble dealing after the attack. Jase struggled with his fear of something happening to her and Mila struggled with everything.

This is not a sweet, boring, friends to lovers romance. This is a emotional rollercoaster of a book. Heard doesn't hold anything back with Arrogant Heir and delivers this amazing book. I'm trying so hard not to give anything away and it's so hard. But this book is a 5 star must read! Michelle Heard just did such an amazing job with Jase and Mila's story.

Unrequited love.

Brilliant! I loved the first book in the series but Jase and Mila' s story, I just could not put down, it had that extra special something that kept me hooked.

The friendship dynamics with this close knit group of friends who have all grown up together is heartwarming, Im already loving the anticipation in this series, wondering how each one of them finally find "The one" and what their stories will be like.

With Jase and Mila, Mila has loved Jase forever and Jase being the cocky playboy and joker he is, doesn't even see Mila in the same way, well, until finally he does, and when love hits him, *fans seĺf down, let me tell you, that boy will make you swoon.

There are many ups and downs in Arrogant heir and sensitive issues that the author wrote without going into graphic detail. A brilliantly balanced read that had just enough of everything, drama, humour, hotness, heartwarming moments and a swoonworthy hea.

If you enjoy college ya romance, great characters with fabulous friendship dynamics then either start with this series and enjoy the next generation or meet their parents in Michelle's Heard's previous series.

Experience through Jase and Mila' s story, young love, learning to trust, all the firsts and new horizons. Mila and Jase are two characters that leave you without any doubts that they were made for each other. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.

Told in first person dual pov and leads hea.

Arc in exchange for an honest review.
This book does deal with triggers so warning there.
This is the second book in the Heirs series, which focuses on the children of the characters from Michelle's previous books. After reading Coldhearted Heir, I was so excited to delve into Jace and Mila's story from the hints that we got.

I was not expecting for the way that the story went, but I wouldn't of had it any way - I thought it was the perfect plot for these characters, in order for them to find their way to one another.

I loved Jase, he was such a funny character and also such a hottie too. I loved reading his POV throughout. Also, I adored his friendship with Hunter - I thought they were so cute and after the last book, where I loved them too, I'm glad we were able to see more of them in this book!

Mila was such a strong character and I loved her personality, I also loved how she was able to connect with Jase's mother - I thought that was a really special relationship.

Jase and Mila were perfect for one another and I loved watching them grow as I read their story.

I'm so excited to see how the rest of the Heirs stories and relationships come together and I can't wait to find out!

Check out Mila and Jase's book when it comes out December 7th!

Arrogant Heir (The Heirs #2)
by Michelle Heard

***5 crazy sexy stars***

What can I say about Jase? He's a whole lot of arrogance with a side of naughty, and a mountain full of devotion. He lets people see what they want to see, always himself, and we can take it or leave it, but it doesn't phase who Jase is at all. I see his arrogance as confidence. More people should have the confidence that Jase exudes. Maybe just a little more tame, because unless you're the Arrogant Heir himself, it may backfire on you LOL.

Mila, oh sweet Mila. She's loved Jase for years. Watched as he "plays" the field, never really knowing he isn't the "player" she thinks he is. Sure, he's not blind to the beauty around him, but he also doesn't dip from every well he sees...if you know what I mean!

When the worst kind of personal and emotional tragedy strikes Mila, it's then Jase realizes it's no longer a game of teasing and flirting. It's all consuming love that smacks him right in the forehead!

Is it too late to tell Mila his true feelings? Will she accept them? Or will she think it's just another game of "Tease poor Mila"?

Arrogant Heir is the second book in The Heir's series

This book is not for the fainthearted.

Jase and Mila have been best friends , Mila has always had feelings for Jase but has always kept it secret because of the player that Jase was. When tragedy strikes that makes them put things in perspective, Jase finally starts to see what has been in front of him all along.

Their journey is not easy at all, and things happen that might end it all, but the chemistry between these two is hot hot hot right from the start. It is a slow burn book which i love it takes time and also time for Jase to wake up lol but when he does all bets are off but will he have lost his chance with Mila, will he have waited to late? well your going to have to read it to find out trust me you wont be disappointed. This book has it all with laughter , heartbreak , tears and passion and did i say hotness has plenty of that. Can't wait to see what Michelle writes next!!!

Honestly, I'm not sure, I will be able to express my feelings about this book. It was a rollercoaster.
Mila broke my heart. That girl can be so fragile but also so strong at the same time.
The only thing, I felt frustrated is about Milas feelings for Jase. I felt like we were running in circles, with that. I always preferred, when h took a steps to move on or just go with the flow and see where it will take her, even if she will hurt at the end, instead of always saying she needs to put space and to move on, but going nowhere from that point.
Jase drove me crazy. Okay, let's be fair. He drove me crazy at the beginning. While I understood his feelings, but also it still made me irked.
But later on... Jase was unwavering source of strength and support. That was priceless to see.

Sigh I wasn’t a fan of this was either :( I’m in a serious book slump.

Mila and Jase are friends. They all attend the same university where they’re wealthy and privileged. This is the second gen book to the first enemies to lovers gen. These are the children of the parents in that series. If you’d like to read that series it starts with Heartless.

So this book was really boring. That’s my main issue with it. It felt like aside from Mila’s incident nothing happened at all.

The hero was really immature but he’s in college so I guess that’s normal. I mean not really though because there are plenty of college guys that don’t act how did.

The fact that Mila almost got rapped is also truly Jase’s fault. He’s 50% to blame. If he never kissed another woman right in front of her she wouldn’t have ran out of the club distraught and her rapist never would have attacked her.

The entire time I was reading this I kept wondering why Mila was such a pushover. In every single way! She lets her rapist off the hook, she won’t admit that she’s dealing with trauma to her friends and family which makes her a coward, she still thanks jase for “being there for her” when she never would have gotten attacked in the first place if it weren’t for him.

Jase is a huge player and to me what he did was cheating. It is cheating let’s be real here.

Mila is super desperate and begs for his attention a lot. She said I love you when they weren’t even in a relationship. I just can’t respect women like her at all!

The fact that she didn’t want justice for her rapist makes me honestly hate her character.

He’s going to rape someone else and it will be her fault for not throwing him in jail when she had the chance to. I judge Mila so hard.

It seems like Jase just settled for Mila because 1. He’s the reason she was almost raped and 2. She is so desperate.

I just can’t respect the hero or heroine. I truly hate them both with a passion especially mila for letting a rapist get off the hook.

The parts about how rich they are is super cheesy and cringey. It’s overkill to the extreme.

In short, this book lets a rapist go free and a pathetic heroine begs for a man and he finally settles for being with her even though he obviously doesn’t want to.

Arrogant Heir is book 2 of The Heirs series. It can be read as a standalone, but know that these books are the next generation from Heard's Trinity Academy series and Enemies to Lovers series. This story focuses on Jase Reyes and Mila West.

Jase is a natural flirt and a playboy. He's arrogant, handsome, fierce, and protective. He's also intelligent, except when it comes to Mila, he can be dense and utterly clueless. Though most men ar pretty clueless when it comes to women in general.

Mila is smart, sassy, brave, loyal, and selfless with a big heart of gold. She's also young and in love to one of her closest friends who is too blind to pick up on it. She's living in a constant state of torture being so close to what she can't have. Most of us can relate to Mila in terms of having a crush on someone who doesn't return the sentiment.

When foreign feelings towards Mila start taking up residents with Jase, he gets spooked. Especially when Mila admits and professes her love for him. When he finally comes to terms with his feelings, tragedy strikes and it may be too little too late.

This is a friends to lovers romance. Their journey isn't easy and has its heartbreaking moments. It's emotional and full of angst. You'll feel their pain but you'll also feel their happiness and their undeniable chemistry. Be warned that there are triggers in this story.

This is book 2 in The Heir's series - Arrogant Heir - This book focus on Mila and Jase. I loved book 1 but when I found out that Jase and Mila were book 2... I was STOKED!!!

Jase Reyes is the son of Julian and Jamie from (Julian - Trinity Academy Series)
Mila West is the daughter of Logan West and Mia Daniels from (Reckless - Enemies to Lovers book 2)

Mila has loved Jase her entire life... Jase has broken her heart over and over.. knowing she will never have him she loves him from afar.. but the time comes that she goes to Trinity - and she has to share a suite with him...

Jase has always loved Mila.. but he's not in love with her.. Right.. When a tragic event happens he takes it upon himself to take care of Mila.. Help her recover.. but with time he realizes that those feelings he has had for her are not what he once thought.. things change..

Is it to late for Mila and Jase? Or is it just the beginning? I 100% recommend this book/series for that matter.. but I would start from the beginning.. Meet the entire gang.. you wont be disappointed!!

I'm so in love with this series. The Heir Series is a spin-off from the Enemies-to-Lovers series and Trinity Academy series. After reading Cold Hearted Heir the 1st book in this series, I was anxious for this novel and I was not disappointed. Arrogant Heir is a friends to lovers romance that will take you on an emotional ride. This is Jase and Mila's story, and it will give you all the feels. I was not prepared for the direction the author took with this novel but I was hooked until the end. The characters were well written and well developed and in spite of tragedy, the chemistry between these two was intense. The plot was a slow burn tale that will break your heart but Michelle will put it back together again. With witty back and forth banter, raw emotion and fiercely loyal friends, this college romance was an excellent addition to the series and I would recommend it to all lovers of friends to lovers romance.

I loved book one Coldhearted Heir so I was really looking forward to reading Arrogant Heir. Like previous books I’ve read by this author I wasn’t disappointed.

Mila and Jase- wow these two had me in a tizzy. Mila has had a crush on Jase for so long. When tragedy strikes Mila Jase vows to be there for her. Slowly feelings change.

I adored this story. Although parts may not be for everyone I feel the author did an excellent job. I can’t wait for more :)

#arc #arcreader #amreading #currentlyreading #reader #reviewer #romance #TheHeirs #CollegeRomance #BillionaireRomance #AllTheFeels #sensitivecontent #playboy #feistygirl #bestfriends

POV:Dual
Jase & Mila

Standalone, but part of an interconnected series. But best read and enjoyed in order.

With both coming from money and growing up as a close knit bunch of kids due to their parents either being related or best friends.
Mila has loved Jase since she was 15. But with Jase being the playboy that he is, she hides her feelings for him, until she decides to let him know, then finding him with another girl, her heart is crushed. She realises that she'll be nothing more to him than friends. He's not the one girl type of guy anyway.

Jase is the future CEO of CRC Holdings, billion dollar company. The girls flock to him and he welcomes it.

Years later they're all at Trinity Academy living under the same roof.
Jase is still a player, but since they've all moved in together he's been flirting more with Mila. But she doesn't give into it. Thinking it's just harmless on his part. He keeps doing it, liking the reactions he gets out of Mila.

Realising that he has to concentrate on his future, he also notices Mila in a different light.  Obviously with living in the same space at the Academy. He's always thought of Mila as a friend, until he started flirting with her more, noticing that she's not like other girls has him thinking why it's annoying him that she only reacts a certain way.
Sure he's protective of Mila, as his cousins and friends. But why is he feeling different now?

There's a shift in the groups dynamics.
Can they get through the hurdles?
And with the unrequited love Mila has for Jase, can she move on for the sake of their friendship and their friends to get things back on track and back to normal?

I'm still loving Miss Sebastian's bedazzled self. She's just the best.

I loved this second installment in The Heirs series just as much as the first. In fact, I read it in a day and found myself pushing off eating and whenever I was forced to put it down — I was eager to get back to Jase and Mila. I want a love like theirs, exhilarating but also knowing you are safe with someone.

Arrogant Heir begins with a story of unrequited love. Mila has loved her friend Jase in secret for years, saying nothing and watching the girls that surround him come and go. Jase has taken to teasing and flirting with Mila. He loves their interactions — but each one leave them both confused. He’s a little slow on the uptake. I think Jase has had feelings for Mila longer than he knows. Unsure of how to handle it, he played it off with jokes and banter. When a completely devastating situation brings Mila and Jase closer than ever before, Jase finally comes to terms with what he’s feeling.

I loved the group of Heirs. Can I join? They are all so sweet and supportive of one another. Speaking of the group, certain scenes in this book had me laughing out loud. I love Jade’s violent, feisty ass , Jase’s cocky behavior, and Miss Sebastian’s hilarious self so much. All of the characters are wonderful. I am extremely looking forward to reading Kao and Fallon’s story in Defiant Heir.

I love Michelle Heard’s writing and the way she writes the dual POVs. The feelings she conveys for her characters are real and make the reader feel them too. She wrote a scene in this book that I imagine must have been as hard to write as it is to read, but the way it was done allows readers to see that victims of violence aren’t faceless, nameless people. They are friends, lovers, daughters, sisters…

This series is already highly recommended by me.

I would like to thank the author and Candi Kane PR for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

“Jase shifts closer to me, I lean forward, and the moment I smell his comforting scent and I get to bury my face in his neck, my world doesn’t feel so utterly devastated.”

This is the second book from The Heirs and after reading Trinity Academy Series and the first one from this spin off, I was beyond excited when I received this ARC. Well, "The Arrogant Heir" follows the story of Mila and Jase and while Jase is a playboy who just now started to see Mila differently, Mila has been in love with him since she was 15 and he was 19.

I love books with a lot of friends and couples like this one, and since the first one from this series, I was curious to see Jase growing up and how this would affect his relationship with Mila. I was not ready, though, for how intense this book would be and how much I would suffer among the main characters. But it was really good and surprisingly. I truly couldn`t stop reading.

I can`t wait for the next ones - I am so ready to read Kao and Fallon's book.

“I pull her closer to me, and I press a soft kiss to her mouth. “You make me want to be incredible.”

Arrogant Heir (The Heirs #2) by
Michelle Heard

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

5 STARS

Arrogant Heir is the second book in The Heirs series by author Michelle Heard, it can be read as a standalone, although I personally don't recommend, it is written in dual POV and is a friends to lovers romance.

I got sucked first in to the world of their parents, in The Trinity Academy series, and now, with their kids, in The Heirs series. Michelle Heard becomes better and better with every book.

Mila was in love with Jase since they were kids, since she was fifteen, and Jase has been broken her heart since then. They were best friend, but Mila's feelings toward Jase have grown.

Being a real playboy, thru his behavior, Jase showed Mila that his feelings toward her, weren't the same as her for him. He didn't even realize he had those feelings for her, until it was way to late. He was so heardhead and so stubborn.

My heart broke for both of them. I cried my heart out for them. Thru all that pain, their bound became stronger and has grown, more than friendship.

They overcome everything together.

I usually don't enjoy a friends to lovers romance, but Arrogant Heir was an entirely different story. A true roller-coaster of emotions.

Book 2 in the Arrogant Heirs series sees Jase Reyes, the son of Julian and Jamie, battle his feelings out with Mila West, the daughter of Logan and Mia. I’ve got to say this is one of my most favourite Michelle Heard books. I loved it. The story had my attention throughout. Jase was mature, responsible and loved to have fun, teasing fun at the expense of his friends, one of which is sweet Mila. Mila is 3 years younger than Jase, and he just loves teasing her, but, unbeknownst to him his flirting and teasing is only adding fuel to Mila’s secret crush. Then in the blink of an eye their life changes. A wonderful story, catching up with this great group of friends, with added drama to keep you on your toes. An additive romance with a couple of traumatic scenes. Thank you to the author for providing me with an advanced copy of this book. This is my honest review.

This is book 2 in the Heirs series and this story is about Jase & Mila.
Mila is in Love with Jase for many years already, but never told him. He’s the playboy of the group of friends, and doesn’t take her seriously. Until one day he asks her why she’s hostile to him and gets an answer he isn’t prepared for!
Events happened, and Jase is forced to really think about his feelings and getting everything sorted.
The storyline is awesome, as it’s expected by this author, but I didn’t connect with these two main characters as I did with all others. Can’t wait for the next book tho!!!

I kindly received an arc from the author and voluntarily left a review.

What an emotional roller coaster Michelle Heard brings us with Arrogant Heir. This friends to lovers romance brings us Mila and Jase's fabulous story of unrequited love turned mutual. The road travel between the innocent girl and the playboy is a story you don't want to miss. Their story does hit on sensitive subjects that some may be uncomfortable with, but their HEA is well worth the ride!!
Obviously I highly recommend reading book 1 first, but it can be read as a standalone.

Michelle did a great job writing a book two in this and bringing back the Trinity school and kids of the characters I adore. Mila has been in love with Jase forever and he has never been aware. This story is very well written with a an extremely respectfully done writing of a story line which is heartbreaking. The way these two come together and how Jase helps to bring out her strength left me swooning.

Really enjoyed this book, the twist in there was really well thought out and so thoughtful to the characters progression. I loved Jase being a funny, cheeky fella but with depth to him.
Can’t wait fire the next book in the series.
