Very much a moral tale, essentially if you find redemption in god you will be praised. Not for me, but it was a somewhat enjoyable read at times. Also was interesting to see which violence is justified by God and which is not, similar violence used to condemn Gowther becomes violence that is used to uplift him because of what the violence is being enacted for. Violence for violence's sake vs violence to protect?
