Fear wants to determine the course of our lives. It wants to determine our commitment to God and our willingness to act in faith. Whether we recognize it or not, we’re daily battling against fear, and so long as it goes unaddressed, we’ll likely find ourselves faithless and unproductive in the Kingdom of God. Yet, Jesus wants us to be overcomers in this struggle. He’s calling us to hear His voice, boldly step out in faith, and courageously obey His will and His Word. When we finish our course in this life, let us not be found timid and fearful concerning the things of God, but rather, by His abundant grace, let us be fearless. “Wherever we are in our walk with God...wherever we find ourselves in personal insecurity or questioning our gifting and place in God’s kingdom...whatever we sense God asking us to step into or do for Him...Fearless will embolden us to go for it. “What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?” – Tim Gaddy - Pastor, New Life Church - Cabot, AR
Great read. Very relevant for the church today. As I was reading I kept thinking of all the students in my youth group and outside of my youth group who would benefit from this book. Also not a long laborious read which helps make it attainable for everyone.
Being Fearless means more than facing your big phobias and overcoming the mountains in our path.
The book does a great job of explaining fear and what being fearless means then the last half of the book is all practical advice to help the readers attain fearlessness.
