Romance genre: friends to lovers Series: The Brewer Brothers Length: 40 pages
Plot: Brandon and Mia are friends, although they've drifted apart as they've gotten older. When Brandon's dad dies, he turns to Mia and asks for help. He's going to lose the building his dad's pub is in, so she goes back to their hometown and helps him find a new place to run his business. While she's there, they both realize how much they mean to each other.
Commentary: Shot and sweet. This is the genesis of the compound that houses all the entertainment - hotel, pub, etc. - that we read about in some of the other books.
First things first; I like the cover of this book! Brandon is the first book in the ‘’ This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. When an old friend needs help, Mia drops everything to be there for him. When they spend time together sparks fly but will they give love a chance? The chemistry between Brandon and Mia is clear to see and I liked them together. I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more books from this series.
Brandon and Mia have been friends, well, forever. She loved being at his house because he has six brothers and one sister. There was always something going on. They all get along and love each other, too. Brandon is the oldest child.
Mia had been in love with him, for a long time. Brandon’s dad loved Mia and thought he would marry her. Time has passed, and so has, Brandon’s dad. Brandon calls, Mia asks for help when his dad dies, and Brandon. Both working to get a plan, on how to make sure, the bar stays flush. Mia loves working, as a team.
Very nice feel-good story. This was a long time in the making, relationship.
In this new series, we get to meet the Brewer family. Brandon is the oldest brother in the family, and Mia was his best friend growing up. Just like with most small town groups, these two grew apart due to miles apart, but now Brandon needs her again. My heart broke for Brandon and the loss of his dad, but can Mia get her head out of her butt and realize she belongs with him? I can't wait to read the next book in this set.

Brandon welcomes Mia, and as she talks with him about the future of his family's business, can't help but hope for more. Mia's character is fun, and I liked how she came into her own power through the story. Spicy, short and sweet, this story has all the feels. I liked the introduction of Brandon's siblings. I would love to read more of them and see what else grew from their business.
Brandon was another quick and steamy story by Elsie James. This author is quickly becoming a top 5 favorite writer and this story just proves it. After Brandon's dad passes away unexpectedly, he calls his best friend, Mia for help. They grew up best friends until she moved to the city. Mia drops everything to return to the small mountain town to pay her respects and to be there for Brandon and his siblings. Will friendship turn into something more or will Mia return to her life in the city?
This is a strong, short story that sets up the series for the right Brewer siblings. Brandon is a hottie, trying to keep life together for his seven younger brothers and sister. Mia is a kick-butt professional, who left Misty Mountain along time ago to pursue her career dreams. Brewer and Mia are reunited over a somber occasion. Each of them has had feelings for the other, yet neither of them has ever acted in those feelings. Is now the time? And what happens afterwards?
I love the friends to lovers trope and this book doesn’t disappoint.
This is a start to a new series and I thought it was real and had good characters. Their relationship was routed in a strong friendship and it was nice to see them look at growing that. Personally I would have liked to have seen them together more as I liked them so much. I am looking forward to seeing what happens next for Brandon and Mia and Brandon's siblings.

This was a great book to start a series. Brandon and Mia had grew up together. They were always together and they both loved eachother but never took it further then being friends. Mia got a phone call from Brandon and needed her to come home as soon as possible. These characters were relatable and realistic. The love story between Brandon and Mia is definitely worth reading this book for.

I enjoyed reading Brandon(The Brewer Brothers Book 1)!!! All about Brandon Brewer the oldest of seven kids, owner of a pub & Mia who is thirty-eight years old a Senior Accountant and my BFF. She comes back to town because my dad Walt Brewer died. Read about Mia & Brandon and the adventures they have!! Lots of emotions running thru this story!!! Looking forward to reading book 2 next. A definite read!!!
A great start to this new series The Brewer Brother. This is the story of Brandon and his best friend Mia. He has feeling for her for a long time and now that she is back he is going to make sure she doesn't leave again. Their story was sweet, enjoyable. Looking forward to read more about the Brewer Brothers and their journey to their happily ever after.
When Brandon's father dies the only person he can think to call for support is his childhood best friend Mia. Mia is living a not so wonderful life in the city and comes as soon ad she gets her friend's call. These two still have their spark but Brandon had to convince Mia to stay. This is a really sweet story.
If you’re looking for a short, sweet, snappy read, you should read this book. I’m a sucker for the friends to lovers, unrequited love trope. The great thing about this book is that it leads you to the next sibling which means the overarching story continues to grow. Definitely going to read James’s book now!
Not sure if I had the full edition as it was very short. It was just okay. I felt like the couple coming together was just way too easy after so many years apart. And, for the heroine to just roll into town and make these grand suggestions on where the family should take their business didn't really feel authentic or realistic. Not good enough to continue with this series.
Brandon and Mia were sweethearts years earlier but decisions resulted in them breaking up. They stayed friends which was a Godsend for Brandon when his father died. This book is a tear jerker and love story. Brandon and Mia are a lovable couple who deserved their HEA. I received this book as an ARC from Booksprout for my honest review.
WOW! A wonderful start to a wonderful new series! I love Brandon and Mia,they're soo perfect together! Such a sweet and beautiful love story! I absolutly loved it! Can't wait for James and Ava's story!😍🔥❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🥰
Brandon and Mia‘s story was a unique twist on the front to love her Roman stories. I really like the fact The male character Relayed on his female friend it is usually the other way around. I’m glad they finally figured out their feelings for one another .
Lie I was upset for a moment when I thought Mia was just going to walk away from Brandon because she felt like she had to prove something of herself.. her boss was a grade A jerk and I’m glad she finally quit to give it a go with the love of her life…
I really enjoyed this book. Brandon and Mia are cute together. Each having feelings for each other secretly. Wonderful chemistry with the characters. Can't wait to read the other books.
I didnt realize it was a short, and I mean short Novella. So, them jumping each other came way too fast for me. I was liking the story and the characters but it was way too rushed. Length of a synopsis lol.
I enjoyed Brandon & Mia's book. It was an entertaining friends to lovers read. I received a free copy of the book. An am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.
I really enjoyed this story. Brandon and Mia are perfect together and I love how the author told the story. Will be reading more of Ms. James stories for sure.
