And yet, there’s this vulnerability about her that tugs at my heart strings, an elusive, ethereal beauty that could so very easily slip out of my grasp and out of my life. She’s playing some deep game, but I have one of my own. A contradiction in almost every aspect of her life, Ravina can be mercurial in her moods, passionate about her beliefs, but extremely sensitive and tolerant of others. Ravina found her own HEA early in her life, learned how to cook from her husband – a well-travelled salesman. She loves writing about fiercely independent, yet vulnerable, sometimes emotionally stunted women and rough-around-the-edges alpha males surprised at their ability to love and be loved.
Theresa Holden job is to recover stolen art pieces. In the past she has worked as an art thief. She is intelligent and good at what she does but her main focus is her sick mother. Theresa gets a job where she is supposed to steal back a stolen statue from the billionaire Signore Vittorio Mancini. Vito is your typical rich, bored man who is instantly intrigued by Theresa. This story was insta-lust and had a fast paced development of the love story.
This book is never boring, something always happens that makes you not want to put in the book down and continue reading. I love a smart and kind heroine, Theresa did everything for her mother. There was a lot of push and pull from both MC’s, in their quest for protecting each other. I just wanted them to start communicate!! 😂
- No cheating - Triggers: mention of rape - OW/OM drama: H has an ex that is causing drama - Dual POV - HEA without epilogue
I enjoyed the beginning, to the point where it made me reminisce about the time when I used to read this type of books, back when I was in my teens. It had an interesting plot, however the second half was a bit of a struggle. It got so over-dramatic, cheesy and repetitive it reminded me of those Mexican soap operas my grandmother used to watch when I was a child. But instead of having hundreds of episodes, it was crammed into 170 pages.
At times it was also quite difficult to keep track of forged vs genuine statues. It got a bit confusing, especially towards the end. The usage of the advanced vocabulary didn't help either. I had no clue what some of the words meant. It was completely unnecessary and I got the feeling that these words were only used to make the story sound a bit more sophisticated. I think the author should have used simpler vocabulary. Sometimes less is more.
The length of the chapters was also a bit daunting and it was sometimes difficult to focus on the story. I think more chapters which are shorter in length would have been better.
Another thing that I had issue with is the fact that Terri was able to sculpt a piece within one week that would not be easily recognised as a replica, especially seeing that she didn't have any previous sculpting experience. That was a bit far-fetched and difficult to believe.
It might suit readers that like fast-paced, cheesy and over-the-top dramatic romance. It mentions rape which might be a trigger for some readers, and there is minor OW drama.

I got this book free from Dawn Hill publications for me to review. The premise was quite interesting yet both main characters and storyline are not good enough for me. Everything too rushed on this book. Tessa got phone call about job like just after doctor said that her mom sick and need more better medical treatment. Life just unfair. The writing style isn't bad tho just too rushed.
Actually really romantic! Omg, Theresa kept resisting her feelings. She so easily could have lost the opportunity to be married and raise a child with the love of her life. I'm glad that Vito was tenacious in pursuing her. I didn't fully understand the whole art theft logistics, but it was okay. I was here for the romance.
Also, I was starting to get concerned with how many lies Theresa was telling. I was glad it didn't erode Vito's trust in her too much, but I was worried about that. I think it would have been easier for her if she had just told the truth more lol. I was also surprised at the end how he was also in the plot (the spying).
They fell for each other almost too quickly, but I guess if you know, you know.
The Italian Billionaire Seduces a Thief Ravina Hilliard ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I love a good billionaire story, but I really love ones that are easy to read, great writing and loveable characters. This had it all, a sexy Italian billionaire, a cheeky but super smart thief with plenty of attitude, priceless art and of course the bad guys.
Theresa (Terri) Holden, was a career criminal, she has stolen priceless artefacts and sculptures over her young life. She’s given up that life for the straight and narrow until her mother needs life saving surgery, meaning she needs to access some serious cask quickly. Enter scum bag Aaron Jones, the kingpin if you like, the man behind the crimes. He sets her to steal the Giacometti a priceless art piece stolen from the Tate Modern days previous. With money on the table Terri heads to Rome, to billionaire Vito Mancini and a world of trouble.
When Vittorio is woken by his silent alarm he never expected to come face to face with a stunning woman in a catsuit, rifling through his safe. Catching her out was one thing being taken by her was something totally different. This woman is smart mouthed, pushes him and drives an uncontrollable sexual tension. With threats under his wing he gives her no choice but to spend time with him. It’s not long before their banter turns to sex. What Vito never sees is that Terri is constantly looking for the Giacometti, always at a loss. As days turn to weeks, it’s abundantly clear that this case will remain a mystery, Terri is going to fail her mother, Aaron, the money all while falling for Vito. Until the “boom” when the truth just shows up
Ready to return to England and along with her life, Terri finds new opportunities within the Security industry, it seems many know about her, what she’s done, but had always been untouchable, but when the Interpol catches up with her it’s not what she expected.
It seems a lot of Terri life is unexpected including her current predicament. I’ll not give you all the debts, you’ll need to read to find out, but trust me when I say, just when you think you’ve got all the story, there’s more. I throughly enjoyed it and will be one I’ll certainly reread at a later stage.
Theresa Holden, retired thief, works as a security consultant for museums and such, gorgeous, independent, ice cold facade. Theresa is content with her life. She likes what she does for a living and is happy to work using the skills that almost destroyed her life. Even tho her boss is an jerk and he pays her peanuts for her work. When her mother suddenly gets sick with a terminal disease, Theresa’s only hope to save her is to take her to a clinic in Zurich to do a experimental treatment, that is, as expected, extremely expensive. The prospects of recovery are good, but her mother’s health insurance doesn’t cover said treatment. So Theresa’s only hope to get the money for her mother’s treatment is to retrieve a statue that was stolen from the Tate Museum and return it in order to collect the reward.
“Money couldn’t buy happiness, but it could buy her mother’s life.”
Vittorio Mancini, art collector, billionaire playboy, drool worth gorgeous. There is so much more to Vito than what first meets the eye. Vito just bought the statue Theresa needs to retrieve and return to the museum. They’ve nothing in common and their worlds are as different as they come. But the attraction between them is undeniable and feelings will be added to the mix.
“You need your sleep to maintain that incomparable beauty. I’m so ugly that no amount of sleep can fix it”
I love this book! I honestly love Miss Hilliard books. Her characters always have so much depth. They’re never plain nor boring. And I absolutely love the side stories, background stories and secondary characters that make her books such a delicious treat.
This is a romance with thriller pacing. Everybody has an agenda and everybody is lying by either omission or commission or both. The ‘plots within plots’ provide some interesting twists and turns.
The hero is rich (very, very rich) and bored. The heroine is committed to acquiring a large sum of money to pay for her mother’s operation. To accomplish that goal she is manipulated into agreeing to steal from the hero. When they meet in his darkened study she is burgling his safe and he has a gun… So of course they agree to meet for dinner the next night. Insta-lust is a powerful force!
I found the setting interesting. I liked the art background particularly; you don’t see that often in romances. The progression of the relationship from lust to love would have been more believable at a slower pace but the plot constrains the time frame so... just deal with it. I enjoyed reading it.

Terri and Vito find themselves in the middle of a world full of subterfuge, misdirection and lies where nobody is who they say they are and everyone has a hidden agenda. They are drawn to each other but is it love or just lust? Both have lied to the other by omission but both are trying to protect the other. Can they fight their way to a HEA or are they too different and the relationship doomed before it begins? Both Terri and Vito are strong characters and whilst they do clash, they also have amazing chemistry and are perfect for each other. This is the first book by Ravina Hilliard that I have read and I enjoyed the numerous twists, turns and surprises within the plot. This book is available on Kindle Unlimited, I was sent a copy by the publisher, all views and opinions here are my own.
If you're looking for a well written opposites attract romance book with likeable characters, undeniable attraction, suspense, mystery, lies, twists and turns, secrets, plenty of steam, and a guarantee HEA... then you definitely need to read The Italian Billionaire Seduces a Thief.
I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
This is the first read from this author. I was hooked from the first word to the very last one. How far would you go to get medical help for your sick mother? Would you steal priceless art? Well that’s this amazing storyline. These outrageously hot chemistry. There’s sexy time. There’s love and affection. All this is wrapped up into one amazing story.
Another amazing book by Ravina! She is such a detailed writer and this book is so much more than a romance! It has mystery, romance, steam and was unpredictable. I loved the billionaire falling for a thief tuned good and all background staging that made this book such an enjoyable read!
*Review of "The Italian Billionaire Seduces A Thief" by Ravina Hilliard**
Ravina Hilliard masterfully blends romance and intrigue in "The Italian Billionaire Seduces A Thief," delivering a captivating tale that will keep you hooked from the first page to the last. The novel follows the enigmatic billionaire, Dante Leone, and the alluring thief, Bella Montague, whose paths cross in the most unexpected way.
Set against the backdrop of Italy's picturesque landscapes and historic architecture, the story unfolds with a perfect balance of suspense and passion. Hilliard’s attention to detail in describing the luxurious settings adds an immersive quality to the narrative, making the reader feel as if they are right there, experiencing the opulence and allure of Dante’s world.
The characters are well-developed and engaging. Dante, with his complex mix of charm and vulnerability, is a protagonist you can't help but root for. Bella, on the other hand, is a strong and cunning heroine whose past struggles and fierce independence make her a compelling counterpart to Dante. Their chemistry is palpable, and the "cat-and-mouse" dynamic between them adds a thrilling edge to their romance.
The plot is intricately woven, with enough twists and turns to keep you guessing. Hilliard's writing style is elegant and evocative, making the book a pleasure to read. Whether you are drawn to tales of high-stakes adventure, passionate romance, or both, "The Italian Billionaire Seduces A Thief" is sure to satisfy.
Overall, Ravina Hilliard has crafted a delightful and enthralling story that will appeal to fans of contemporary romance and romantic suspense. If you enjoyed the intricate dynamics and historic settings in novels like those by Lauren Asher, you will find "The Italian Billionaire Seduces A Thief" equally irresistible.

The Italian Billionaire Seduces a Thief by Raving Hilliard Rating: 3/5 Release Date: 17 October 2024
Theresa Holden, a reformed thief, must steal a priceless sculpture to fund her mother's life-saving surgery. Her target, Vittorio Mancini, a charming billionaire art collector, has purchased the stolen artwork she needs. As they engage in a seductive game of cat and mouse, their physical attraction turns into deep emotions. However, Vittorio desires more than Theresa is willing to give. Amidst high-stakes crime and Interpol investigations, their romance is tested as Vittorio discovers Theresa's true intentions, leaving them both questioning if their love can survive the betrayal.
Their instant attraction in this novella leads to a fast-paced romance filled with push and pull dynamics as they navigate their feelings while protecting each other.
Despite their struggles with communication, the story remains engaging with constant twists and turns, keeping readers hooked until the end.
This fast-paced romance is filled with cheesy and over-the-top dramatic moments that will appeal to readers seeking an intense love story. However, it's important to note that it contains themes of SA which could be triggering for some readers.
Thank you so much to NetGalley, Dawn Hill Publications, and the author, Ravina Hilliard, for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest and fair review.
I love finding a good, quick read. Especially one that pits two people at opposite ends of the spectrum "against" one another. It was a rather quick read (for me at least) and I have to admit that it keeps you engaged throughout the whole of it.
Many times over, the amount of banter between our main characters and the level of chemistry just made me swoon. I love all things playful and seductive and there was no shortage of that when our FMC decided to pull out all the stops in order to 'seduce' her man.
I will say, however, that there's a LOT of inner dialogue. More than what I might attribute to a shorter story like this. It sort of takes away from the story as a whole and feels like filler, but I won't deny that it's always nice to know what is in a character's mind at the time. It works well enough, but I personally could have done without a lot of it while the focus was more intently put upon the plot.
All in all, for the good versus the not-so-good, I give it three out of five stars, the lackluster "instant attraction" being my main cause of 'eh' in the story. While I love a good "love at first sight" story, I don't feel that it felt real enough to really tie into the story. Lust, sure. But not love.
4.5 This has been my favorite Ravina Hilliard book so far. She keeps getting better with each book.
Asked to review for publisher. Theresa has to go back to her old line of work to help pay for her mother's life saving surgery. She makes a deal with her old boss to help recover a stolen sculpture from the Tate Museum for the amount of money to pay for her mother's medical bills. All she has to do is figure out who has the item and where it is being kept. What she never factored into the equation was Vito. A handsome Italian billionaire who collects stolen art. While trying to figure out where he is keeping it she slowly loses her heart to him. Will all the lies, secrets and half truths between Theresa and Vito be their downfall? What neither one knows is that everything about the stolen sculpture is not what it seems and they may need each other to solve the mystery and stay alive. What I loved most about this book was the banter and interactions between Theresa and Vito. Something about when they were vulnerable with each other was so special.
Here is the seductive story of a young woman named Terri. She is a repentant thief. However, her mother is sick and in need of surgery and it is not covered by insurance. In a place of great need, she agrees, albeit reluctantly to do a job for her former boss.
Terri's new job is to steal a statue. She is led to Italy and a very rich, very powerful man named Vittorio Mancini. He's tall, dark, and handsome.
These two clash at every twist and turn but they are attracted to each other and it leads to some sexy times between the sheets. She winds up pregnant and her entire world becomes a giant, crazy, confused mess. Everything comes together in the end though. Think you can figure it out fast? You'll like it. I gave this book five stars because it's well thought out and well written. I just didn't care for it because I'm not into art theft stories nor do I want a criminal mystery story mixed with my romance stories. Just a personal thing.
Would I recommend? Sure Would I reread? Personally? No. Book hangover? Not at all Stand Alone or Series? Stand Alone, I think.
My first read by Ravina Hilliard and all I can say is WOW!! I decided to try out this new author and I was absolutely blown away with this story. I didn't want to put it down...
Once done, I had to take a break and think about this review, I am no writer and cannot do justice with words to describe this masterpiece other than in my opinion as book lover and avid reader that you have to read it. Take the journey with Theresa Holden and Vittorio Mancini.
Very well written book, so descriptive, it felt like I as there with them jet setting to retrieve the art pieces and trying to uncover the secrets. I was feeling the emotion, holding my breath some moments and then again ranting at one of them for being so stubborn, not doing what you think they should do.
Twist and turns never leave you knowing what will happen next, never a dull moment. Loads of action, drama, romance. Definitely a one click read. Great work Ravina, you have a new fan.
Ok, well first off the book is very well written with great details and it's a mix of love and mystery. **Trigger warning** Some parts of this book are borderline and could trigger anyone with an abuse background. I found the book extremely good. Very well detailed, I could pretty much see what was going on in that "movie that plays in your head when reading a good book". The charters are well defined and although the purpose of the book took me about 1/2 way through to really figure out the "main" plot. This book was well worth the read and I appreciate the publisher giving me a PDF to read. It's not the typical kind of book I read, normally suspense and mystery where this book is suspense, mystery, love story, phycological thriller. I stay away from love stories but the one was fantastic and I would highly recommend anyone that likes any of the above categories to give it a try, you won't be disappointed. The best book I've read in the last 6 months.
Romance and intrigue make this a fun book to read. Terri is an interesting character who has a history of stealing works of art she has some skills making deceptively believable counterfeit sculptures and it seems she may have taken those skills legitimate as a security consultant. While working with Interpol, she meets a wealthy Italian art lover who might be an art thief. Or she might be a thief trying to get enough money for her mother's surgery. Surely you can see the confusion. The wealthy Italian falls squarely n love with Terri and she with him. But there is her history with the law and her relative poverty. She thinks the societal and financial differences are too much for them to overcome. There's more to the story, but you get the idea. This book has is challenging as a mystery with touches of romance. I think I'll explore some of the other titles by this author.
This story is fast paced from early on. This story between Tessa and Vito was one I really wanted to fall in love with, but for some reason, something was missing for me. The chemistry was off for me from the very start.
The story starts with Tessa breaking into Vito’s home. She’s trying to steal a statue from Vito. He’s extremely wealthy and their relationship unfolds quite quickly. As the story moves forward, truths are revealed, but it wasn’t enough to keep me intrigued. The chapters were increasingly long and I felt my attention would not stick.
The biggest trigger brought up is the topic of rape. If that’s a trigger for the reader, it should be known before starting.
I received a copy of this book from from the publisher. 😃
This is my first time reading a book written by author Ravina Hilliard. I have to say she surprised me from the first few pages. I was immediately captured by Terri and Vito’s witty rapport, clear descriptive characterizations, sexual chemistry and story line. I’ve never been pulled in so fast and transported into their universe so well that I lost track of time. It’s a fun, captivating, sexy, romantic, funny, and has just enough heat to keep this reader turning those pages. I wasn’t disappointed at the end; just left wanting more. It was that good and I can’t wait to read more from this author!!
This is a new author for me and I have really enjoyed the book. The storyline is very snappy - a sexy romance that has twists and turns with the intrigue that surrounds the main characters. A gorgeous, sassy, very clever gal and a sexy, swoon worthy Italian hunk of man who keeps our gal on her toes while she keeps him guessing. Good storyline - I could picture the scenery and the people and situations in my head while reading - helped along by the fact I have had the privilege of travelling to some of the places mentioned. I really enjoy this genre and I will be looking for more stories from this author.
This was my first time reading this author and I've got to say it was an entertaining journey. Terri is a very complex woman. She's constantly at war with her own emotions and her actions often contradict her thoughts. Vito is intrigued with her from the moment he meets her. He doesn't know her motives but is determined to find out. He is a little alpha and extremely sure of himself for the first half of the book. They have an unconventional relationship and readers don't find out everything until the end. I enjoyed the characters, their progression and the story idea.
So this book was recommended to me and the story was great...Though I’m not crazy about the book title. The book is about an art thief that crosses paths with a man she believes is in possession of a stolen piece. She believes she is working for a man that is recovering stolen pieces, but becomes suspicious and quits her job. Her mother’s illness takes her back for one more job and her actions save her. She ends up with her dream job. It’s a bit angsty, a bit mysterious, and overall worth reading.
Teresa works for an insurance company and is also a very good thief, she helps the company with the security side of things. Her mum is very sick and needs an operation that Teresa just doesn't have the money for and she reluctantly falls back to her old days in order to make enough money. Vito whose home she has to enter to get back stolen goods catches her in the act. Their chemistry in undeniable and this makes for some great reading. I received and Advanced Reader Copy of this book and this is my honest review. I look forward to reading more of Ravina's stories.
As the book started out, I was transported to a time where I read a lot of these books. Hotties on the cover - my aunt passing them along to me for a light summer read. Now that I am older, I realize how cheesy and predictable these were. But I also found how much I missed books like this. No it is not a cure for social ailments. It was just a fun read while sitting by the sand watching my kids splash in the lake. A true 3.5 out of 5 for me. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I have to start off by saying that this book is action packed and you can never be sure if our heroine is telling the truth. Theresa (Terri) is cunning and smart, determined to finish this one job so her mother can have a life saving surgery. When Terri is confronted by the very man she is to rob from, events escalate. Vitto’s character is charming but I felt he really didn’t have a connection for a while even though he was very attracted to her. This book is absolutely action packed as I felt my head was spinning a time or two with everything happening at one. Still an enjoyable read.
I’m rating this based on the plot. The romance fell very flat for me. It kind of felt like groundhogs day. Come together, sneak out, come together, sneak back out, and repeat. The main characters were alright. They really didn’t have much personality in my opinion. I enjoyed the trope of an art thief falling for a billionaire. I’ve never read that trope before. I found the storyline fascinating while also confusing. I thought the ending was very clever in how it all came together. The storyline was a little long. Every time you thought it was ending a new plot appeared.
This was a pretty quick read. I wasn't sure what to expect since I've never read anything from this author before, but it was a solid good book. There was a good amount of inner dialogue which isn't a favorite of mine, but like I said this was a quick read so it wasn't bad. I needed a little bit more in-depth conversation between characters. I would recommend to give it a read!
