Netherfield Mistletoe: A Steamy Pride & Prejudice Short Variation

Rate this book
When Kitty and Georgiana play a trick on Elizabeth and Darcy, it might be the perfect Christmas miracle.

No one in her family knows how instrumental Mr. Darcy has been to the happiness of the Bennets. No one except Elizabeth, who has kept the secret to herself for far too long. When she sees him at Netherfield for Christmas, she knows she loves the noble gentleman who moved heaven and earth to assist her family.

Except she will never tell him, knowing their love is doomed by his very assistance. No one could ever ask him to become brother-in-law to a man he so rightfully despises.

But when a sprig of mistletoe and a late-night errand make the two collide, it brings with it a sense of hope... and a healthy dose of love.

Grab a hot cocoa and put up your feet to enjoy this intimate Pride & Prejudice short variation designed to give you the warm fuzzies. Previously provided to Emma East newsletter subscribers for free.

After Lydia's elopement and Jane and Bingley’s wedding Elizabeth sees Darcy’s again at Christmas at Netherfield. She is now sure that she loves him, but she can't tell him. He can have no wish to be attached to someone who calls Wickham his brother.
But then they encounter each other again in the dark of the night - and a spring of mistletoe is suddenly above them.
Will Elizabeth seize her chance to tell Darcy that she loves him? What are Darcy’s feelings? And will the mistletoe change the course of their relationship?

This story was very short (19 p.), but it was very well written by the author Emma East. Emma East is known for her steamy variations, therefore you can be sure to get more than just a caste kiss. But do not fear, this story is written in a very tasteful way. The story shows just a short scene, the moment when Darcy and Elizabeth are finally alone and act on their feelings.
Because of the nature of the story, Darcy and Elizabeth are the only main characters in this story (at a secret midnight encounter all others would naturally disturb the couple).

I really like the chemistry and all the feelings between Darcy and Elizabeth. That was very beautifully written. I enjoyed that both act on their feelings for one another and that they do not think much about the consequences or what others would think about it. In my opinion that’s fitting because I imagine both Darcy and Elizabeth as passionate people who act on their feelings when being together.

As the story is only about this short scene in the middle of the night, there are naturally no villains. It’s only about the moment when Darcy and Elizabeth are finally able to change their relationship and advance it in the future.

If you like to know if a mistletoe may encourage Elizabeth to tell Darcy of her love, you should definitely read this book.

Be aware that this story is only suited for a mature audience.

I enjoyed this short story in which Darcy and Elizabeth meet under the mistletoe and having pined for each other quite a while, then proceed to celebrate the holiday season under the covers.

But it's pretty pricey for something you can finish in fifteen minutes.

It‘s a nice and low angst story.

Elizabeth and Darcy meet again at Netherfield, and as it is, it‘s Christmas and they‘re standing beneath a mistletoe. We follow Elizabeth how she spends her time until they see eachother again after their Mistletoe kiss. (Which by the way isn‘t long, if you wonder now.)
Misunderstandings are getting cleared, HEA.

-Low Angst
-Mature Content
-Very Quick Read with only 19 pages

I must say though, with only 19 pages, the book is a little pricey if you compare it with other books.

All in all, good book!
