I am just your ordinary stay at home mum...so just so happens to love writing hot tales of alpha males and the ladies that love...or at least lust after them. I live in the countryside in a far away magical place...but spend some time across the pond in the Big Apple too! I hope you love my shifter tales...and/or some of my biker tales too! Lately shifters have taken my fancy though...! Thanks so much for stopping by ; )

What are the odds you meet a dragon and find out he's your mate just by pointing your finger? That's what happens when Amelia moves to Misty Vale and meets Dash at the B&B she's staying at. The author does a great job bringing a fast paced entertaining story with vividly painted scenes ,moves it fluidly and delivers a great read. Loved and recommend this book.

Samantha Leal has written a 5-star book. This is the story about Amelia and Dash. Amelia has left her controlling boyfriend Toby and moved to Misty Vale. She is going into the B&B that she is going to stay at and as she is going in, she almost gets knocked down by a man coming out. Dash was coming out of the B&B when he almost knocked a woman down. He tells her he is sorry and looks at her. His dragon has not been interested in anyone since his daughter Nora's mother left them. Dash is worried about Nora always spending time at one of his offices after school and he decides he needs to hire a nanny. Amelia has been checking out the town and when she comes back to the B&B, Maude tells her that they were just talking about her. That is when she sees the man from the day before. Maude tells her that she could be the help Mr. Livingstone needs. "I could?" Amelia asks. Maude tells her that Mr. Livingstone has a daughter and needs a nanny and with her being new to town and looking for a job, they could help each other out. Dash talks to Amelia and they agree to meet the next morning. After they meet, Dash tells her that once her references check out he will call her. He calls later that day and asks "If she would okay with a trial run?" She agrees and he gives her his address. Things go well with the trail run, Nora seems to get along well will Amelia, and Dash hires her. There is a connection between Amelia and Dash and they try to fight it. Dash knows he can't do anything with Amelia until she knows who and what he is. He takes her out and tells her the story about the town and then he tells her that the things he told her are true and that he is a dragon shifter. She does not seem to be scared about what he has told her. Amelia tells Dash that she always believed that all the stories were true somewhere in the world.
Will Amelia and Dash end up together for good?
This was a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anyone.

Brilliant loved this

Brilliant first book of the series can’t wait for more to come out. Amelia has turned up at Misty Vale after getting away from her controlling boyfriend as she goes to enter the b&b she is bumped into by Dash and she feels something pass between them.
Dash can feel something is different about Amelia his dragon
stirs . Dash decides he needs to find a nanny for Nora his daughter but the ones that have been sent so far Nora hasn’t liked them.
Amelia sees Dash at the reception desk and the lady at front is telling Dash about her and her looking for a job and has child caring background. Amelia meets with Dash there is definitely something different about him and she ends up looking after Nora it is going to be hard to keep her feelings from Dash.
Dash is struggling with his feelings for Amelia and decides to ask her if she feels the same and she does. Dash and his dragon have imprinted on Amelia they spend more time together he also tells Amelia that he is a shifter a dragon shifter it doesn’t phase Amelia.
They are both doing well Amelia spending more time at Dash’s house but is on a weekend off and goes out with her friend but ends up having an argument with Dash. Once they get together and clear the air about the argument it is now time for Amelia to see his dragon and complete their coupling.

Oh, the heat is HOT, and the physical chemistry is captivating so be careful you may just get burned all the heat coming off these pages. There were some "oh no" "oh wow" " what the what" moments and add in uncanny mishaps, and suspense the good kind that makes you keep turning the pages till last page has been turned. Amelia was in a bad relationship and once it ended she felt the best thing for her was a fresh start and she moves to a new town Misty Vale. She is looking for a nanny position and in walks one sexy man who needs a nanny. It is said that Dash Livingston’s family are the town founders but in truth they are much more than that. He is the head of the dragon clan but being a single dad to his daughter Nora trumps all. He knows Amelia is the right it for him and his daughter but how will she react to him being a dragon shifter and will she stick around after finding out and is there a road to happiness for the two of them?

Amelia closes her eyes and points her finger on the map to decide where she will go.
Leaving an abusive relationship, swearing off men and trying to find herself, she arrives in Misty Vale. On day one she walks into a hottie and there is an instant attraction on both sides. When she returns to her B&B, the manager is speaking to the same hottie and suggesting Amelia as Nanny to his little girl, Nora.
Dash owns a lot of the town and is a decedent of one of the Founding Families. After his bad relationship with Nora’s mother, he is wary of woman and suspects all of being gold-diggers. He feels the attraction to Amelia and tries to fight it but his dragon has other ideas.
This was a really great read, Amelia has her demons to get over and to trust herself again and Dash has his own demons he needs to defeat. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and happily recommend it.

Amelia has just gotten out of a bad relationship and figures that the best thing she can do for herself is to start fresh in a new town, which is how she winds up in Misty Vale. From day one, everything seems to be falling into place for her. The only thing left on her agenda is to find a good nannying job. Enter Dash Livingstone. His family is known for being the town founders, but they're all so much more than that. Dash runs a clan of dragon shifters, but he puts his priorities as a single father first. He knows that Nora, his little girl, needs someone special in her life. One look at Amelia tells him that she more than fits the bill.

Amelia was fine. Dash was fine. Nora was fine. I really have no complaints about them other than the fact that I had a hard time getting excited about any of the main characters as individuals, as pairs, or as a family dynamic. It was clear that Amelia and Dash gelled from the beginning, but I was still surprised by how she reacted to finding out that he was a dragon shifter. There was some conflict, but I never felt like the couple was ever in any real danger of separating.

All in all, this was an okay read for me, but I'm hoping that the rest of the series will pick up the pace and introduce deeper plots and characters.

I was surprised to find that there were references to another set of books listed in this book. "Forsaken Riders" and "Bridge Hollow" were all in another series of books that I've recently read and to find that this book kinda ties into that series in a roundabout way was nice. Oh and can't forget Archer's that's in a totally different set of books but not in the same town.

*Spoilers*

It starts with a woman looking for a new start. The whole finger on a map trick (instead of spin the globe). Running from a controlling mother and ex-boyfriend. Only to find a new love and family in the new town. He's solely focused on his daughter and his business. That is until he damn near runs her over outside the B&B.

This is a medium burn romance with a little bit of drama included. I mean what good romance don't have drama included? Do things work out for them in the end though? That's the question that should be asked. The answer to that is..... HA! You thought I was gonna tell you! Take a read at this amazing book and find out for yourself! Samantha's written another five star book!

“Don’t let the past ruin right now.”

Amelia is leaving everything about the past, except a few bags, behind, and starting over in a random town. Clean start from top to bottom is the best way to reclaim her life and independence.

Dash is a single father, who needs look no further than that one fact to know his past relationships have left him with baggage. He's not looking for relationships, he's smart enough to see his daughter for the blessing she is, and is focused on raising her.

What I loved in this story was how two people who weren't sure they could heal themselves found ways to help the other heal. Their unfortunate common ground of broken hearts and bad relationships gave them an empathy and understanding that moved this story forward.

This done in one Kindle Unlimited quick read stands alone, but is clearly setting up an overarching plot in the community, introduces some interesting secondary characters, and does some interesting world building, while making it a very relatable "our world" here and now story.

This is the first book in the Misty Vale Shifter series and if this is any indication it is going to be another superb series from this talented author

I was dragged into Amelia and Dash story from almost the first page and who can forget Nora who is also a star of this book. Amelia has had enough of her controlling ex and has decided to try to try to rebuild her life away from him who would believe that a finger pointed at the map could give her the future that she gets One of the first people she meets when she arrives at Misty Vale is Dash Livingston and before she knows it she is working as his nanny caring for his daughter Nora There is also a connection between her and Dash that can't be explained but h is protective of his daughter and she is unsure about men When his secret comes out it will explain what that connection is but can she handle his secret You will have to read to see

When one door and then another door closes, the right one opens. Amelia, bravely enters a new phase in her life. She was expecting to change her life for the better in the new town, Misty Vale. She was finally running away from a toxic relationship that could have been dangerous. Dash, met Amelia when he almost ran her over. He went about his business, but felt his encounter with her hours, later. The best time of his life, was spent with his daughter, Nora. Dash, hired Amelia as Nora's nanny. They got comfortable and built a friendship. They had baggage from their past, which they never took out and explored. But the baggage had a life of it's own and threatened to knock the relationshp over. Can Amelia and Dash find a safe opportunity to communicate? Can they overcome their issues? Does Nora provide a good balance? Nice story, well done! I received an ARC from Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

A truelly fantastic and entertaining read. Once i started reading this book i couldn't put it down.
I do have a couple of other books by this author buried in my library which im embarrassed to say i have not read yet but after reading Dragon Daddy's Nanny i will be definitely reading the others ASAP.....
Not only are the characters well formed and extremely likable but the storyline is amazing!!
I have read quite a few paranormal romances and have to honestly say that I find that they are mostly repetitive and have just been rinsed and recycled so that most of the stories are predictable, nothing unique or outstanding about them.
You can see from the title of the book what to expect when reading this story so no need for me to tell you.
I reccomend this book to all that love their shifters broody, hot and sexy.

Needing to relocate somewhere else after a bad relationship with a controlling jerk boyfriend, Amelia picks Misty Vale at random and starts looking for a job. She meets a handsome man named Dash Livingstone, from one of the Founding Families of the town, and feels an attraction toward him. Since he needs a nanny for Nora, his daughter, she accepts the job since she and Nora get along so well.

Dash keeps holding back his secret from her, afraid she won’t want him when she learns that he is a dragon shifter! But his dragon has no such issue – Amelia is his mate! Will Dash get over his mistrust of women based on his experience with Nora’s mother? Will Amelia be able to love and trust that Dash will put her first in his heart? Is there a HEA for these two, or will secrets undermine their growing relationship?

After a bad break up Amelia moves Misty Vale and bumps into Dash Livingstone.
Having ended a relationship with a man who controlled and tried to change her Amelia had picked a place on the map at random and landed on Misty Vale as the place to start a new life. As she goes to enter the B&B a man comes out and bumps into her and as she looks at him she realizes he will have some effect on her life. Once inside she asks if there is a place to look for job opportunities and explains she is looking hopefully for something in child care. Dragon shifter Dash Livingstone has trouble getting the woman he bumped into out of his mind as he picks up his daughter from school and takes her back to his office with him. As he watches her he know this is not right for her and decides to finds a nanny for her.

To move ahead to a happy future, you have to get rid of the baggage from the past. Dash and Amelia were both guilty of interpreting things through the eyes that had suffered in the past and it almost cost them their relationship. Amelia has come to Misty Vale to reclaim herself. When she runs into Dash in front of the B&B upon her arrival in town, they are drawn together. She works as Nora's nanny and becomes even closer to Dash. Unfortunately they haven't explained painful parts of the past with one another so misunderstanding occur. Beware - their HEA is a given and their relationship is strong but we're left hanging on other parts of the story. We'll have to read the next book to get some answers.

This was a great shifter novel. I found myself unable to put it down and now I can’t wait for the next in the series. The plot of the story kind of set up for the rest of the series, but didn’t stray from the story between the main characters. Both characters overcame struggles with past experiences maring their perceptions of the present and the possibility of the past repeating itself. The overall story was great and the characters really worked well together. The set up for the future stories was also well done.

I give this five out of five stars. The plot and characters were great and the book also set up for the rest of the series. I look forward to seeing where this goes.

This is a new series devoted to dragon and bear shifters, a fairy, a vampire, fated mates, and a town named Misty Vale. Amelia just left her hometown after a bad relationship and breakup. She chose Misty Vale as her new residence. She obtained a job working for Dash Livingstone, one of the founding families and dragon shifter. She would care for his daughter. They felt something when they first met. After a bit, he explains who he is and the legends surrounding the town. This is a sweet romantic story that will leave you feeling good. It also gives some much-needed background information about the town and some of the residents. The book just gives a hint at the trouble brewing we will read about further into the series. I received this as an ARC and am leaving a voluntary review.

Decent start to a new series. Fast and easy read although there was a lot of stress on the problems plaguing the town and not much information has been given. Hopefully we’ll find out more in the next books. Dash and Amelia are fated mates and even though he is a dragon shifter and she is human, they find a way to make it work. Amelia has had bad luck in the past with her choice of men and when she decides to leave her hometown and find a place to reinvent herself, she closes her eyes and points to a place on the map which is how she ends up in Misty Vale. Dash needs a nanny for his daughter and Amelia fits the bill perfectly. They have to overcome their pasts and face the future and Dash has to reveal his secret before they can become more.

LEARN FROM YOUR MISTAKES – DON’T LIVE THEM

I received this book for free and am giving my honest and voluntary review

Amelia has left her hometown, and on a chance finger to a map, picked the town of Misty Vale, to get away from her controlling boyfriend. Dash is a dragon shifter whose family founded the town of Misty Vale. He is wary of women who want to party, but he needs a nanny. His daughter doesn’t like many people, but she falls in love with Amelia.

Dash and Amelia’s pasts make them rash in decision making and pull them apart. Their interactions and true feelings are what make this book interesting and a wonderful read.

This is a NON_SPOILER REVIEW. Dragon Daddy's Nanny by Samantha Leal is the first book in her new Misty Vale Shifters series. This is a spin-off with ties to two of her previous series, Bridge Hollow Shifters and The Forsaken Riders. This is a sweet and sexy story of a father (Dash) discovering that putting his daughter first may not mean putting his life second. Amelia is looking for a new start after a bad finish. Fate has a wicked sense of humor and will definitely not be denied. A fun and sexy read that promises good things for this series.

the fires inside

Dragon Daddy’s Nanny is book one in the new series Misty Vale Shifters by author Samantha Leal. This book connects to two different series- Bridge Hollow Shifters & The Forsaken Riders. So to say there’s a bit of mystery is not to far off. Maybe you can even say, “something wicked comes this way”.
Anywho, this particular book is awesome- storyline is intriguing. Characters must come to grips with their past if a future is what they desire.
Enjoy!!

Amelia escapes an abusive relationship and decides to move to Misty Vale, a small mountain town. The first person she bumps into is Dash Livingstone, a member of one of the founding families. He is a single parent of a young daughter. He needs a nanny so his daughter doesn't have to sit in his office while he works. Amelia had a lot of experience taking care of children. Fire erupts. This is a sweet love story with a little backlash from previous relationships on both sides. I can't wait to read the next book. Thank you. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of the book.

Evil is spreading to paranormal towns.

Amelia had a kinda crazy way to choose her next home. That in itself shows her determination and her strength of character. Dash wants to be the best dad he can be for his daughter, Nora, and hires Amelia as a his nanny. Both are emotionally damaged but want to connect. One of the best things happening is Nora and Amelia. One thing that I didn't like was Amelia being mad at Dash for a fight she started. I will be looking forward to the next book.

I enjoyed this book so much, I wasn’t able to stop till the end. Amelia is such a great character, I loved how she was able to put her past in its place and start over. They way she and Dash met was great, I chuckled at it. Loved the suspense, camaraderie, and all around good feeling I got from the characters.

Start of new series. Set groundwork for books to come. Introduced city of Misty Vale along with supernatural residents. Amelia arrives in town looking for a new start and to rediscover herself. An unconventional first meeting has her thinking about Dash. Dash is a pillar of the community looking for a nanny for his daughter. Hiring Amelia brings them together and bond keeps them together.
