A mysterious mercenary meets his match in a sexy peacekeeper with something to prove.

Temis has spent years working hard to be taken seriously as a peacemaker, battling her beauty and prejudices in a male dominated field. She’ll be damned if she’ll let a mercenary murderer and thief ruin her shot at solving an important case. But Gren is no ordinary man, as their undercover mission proves all too well. He’s not just a mystical warrior, but a lover who’s put her under his spell. When the job is over, can she say good-bye, or will she give up what she’s worked so hard to earn, all for a love in the stars?

Enjoyable sci-fi story but sex dominates.
I never like a book when one of the main characters starts off having sex with another party, as happens in this book. The fact that Gren is thinking of Temis whilst having sex with another woman, just yuk.
But there really is a lot of sex, with a small enjoyable amount of sci fi, abducted women to be sold into slavery story.
Read and reviewed years previously but review is missing.
Seeing these in Kindle Unlimited I decided to have a reread.

"...he knew he fell far short of deserving when it came to true happiness."

Gren is a fierce mercenary who will go to whatever lengths are necessary, but it is nice to have some warning what the plan will require of him.

Temis is a peacekeeper with no interest in working with a mercenary. Even if Gren does seem to be coming up with a good plan on the fly, that doesn't mean she can trust him

This done in one story centers on two strangers thrown together by circumstances and mutual friends, struggling to find common ground and a way to work together towards a goal they both believe in. Between Gren trying to keep their plans from being discovered by the bad guys, and Temis having trust issues with men and mercenaries, there are some fun laugh-out-loud moments as these two strive to rescue several abducted women.

We met Gren in "Lurin's Surrender" and his mysterious past only opened up more questions. Will his new undercover assignment become the last one he takes? Will the female peacemaker Temis be welcoming of his more unsavoury experiences?

It took a few chapters, then I was pulled in. Well worth a re-read. Ever since I read Gren's part in the first story. I wanted his story. This one didn't disappoint. On to the next in this series.
Honest opinion.

Skylar writes a good erotic fated mates sci fi tale. The only problem I have is that they are far to short but if you want something a little spicy with only a few pages then Skylars your girl.

I enjoyed this book. Tenis is kinda hot headed and snarky but I loved her. She didn't know what was in store when she joined up to work with Gren. It's a very good read with many funny places.
