Follow Bonnie and Jon as they collide, making waves so massive that it could cost them dearly. When their souls intertwine in dreams, will they discover the key to beating the odds in both their lives? Can Jon save her from the crosshairs of an imbalanced stalker, who will stop at nothing to have her?
Possible trigger warning: This book touches on mental illness with a character whose obsessions override his ability to think logically. This does NOT reflect as a blanket statement for any or all with mental illness. It's just this particular character's journey. It's not meant to make a statement of any kind.

This book is about characters who are broken in different ways. As you read, you get to watch them heal themselves and each other. Don't let the heartwarming premise fool you. From the start I was worried about Bonnie's safety. It was like watching a train wreck in slow motion. The locomotive chugging along without realizing the danger around the bend. Also, I can't sign off without mentioning the swoon worthy military men. Can we have several spin-offs please??
Kimberly McKay has written a 5-star book. This is the story of Bonnie and Jon. Bonnie meets Jon when she is at the bar with her friends Alexis and Tyler. He saved her from Chet who thinks that she is meant to be with him. Jon asked the bartender if they were hiring and was told no. Something makes Bonnie tell him that he could work for her. She tells him that she runs an equine therapy program and a few other things. Before she leaves the bar, she gives him her card and tells him to think it over and if interested to call her. It takes him a few days and when he does call her, she tells him that she really needed the help like now and asked if he could be there in fifteen minutes. When he shows up they get to work. She feels an instant connection to Jon and she knows since he was working for her now. After all her clients leave, she and Jon talk for a while, and he tells her that it looked like she would use more help around the ranch. She asked him if he had eaten yet. He tells her that he could eat. She said that she would explain everything after dinner if he wanted to stay. After dinner, she starts to tell him about what has happened. He walks around and asks about two pictures. One is of her parents and the other is of her daughter GGizelle – Izzie.” They talk more about the job and he tells her that it sounds like she could use an assistant. He said that he could put an ad in the paper and help with the interview process. She tells him to go ahead and do it. Alexis shows up and she and Bonnie have a talk. Bonnie tells her about Chet showing up with flowers and they talk about him. Bonnie doesn't know what else to do. She had told Chet more than once that they didn't have a relationship and never would. He is just not taking no for an answer. Alexis is asking about Jon and Bonnie tells her that all she needs is Izzie, her daughter. Izzie had an accident and is now in a wheelchair. When Jon meets Izzie they seem to get along. Bonnie sees someone walking around her house one night when she goes to look, she hears footsteps in the house and she calls Jon and he comes over to the house. After he looks around but finds nothing. Bonnie thinks it was Chet. After this Jon calls his friends Mack and Ortiz. He tells them what is going on and they tell him they are on the way. Jon wants Ortiz to do a background check on Chet and to dig deep. Bonnie had told him that with Chet's father's money, Chet gets away with things. What Ortiz finds out upsets Jon but he decides not to tell Bonnie. Bonnie is dreaming and she sees Jon in her dream, something happens and she wakes up. She has never done that before. Things are getting more intense between Bonnie and Jon. After Chet is seen on the property at night, Tyler, Bonnie's friend gets a security system for her but Ortiz when he sees it orders another one that is better. The more they dig, the more they find out. Bonnie is in town when she runs into Chloe, Chet's chef. Chloe asks Bonnie if they could talk. When Bonnie finds out that Chloe has quit working for Chet, she offers Chloe a job as her assistant. Chloe tells them things that can help with getting Chet. Ortiz wants to bug Chet's home to see if they can find out what he is planning. Chloe is the one who helps since she knows the house. When they go to Chet's home, what they find alarms them. Mack tells Jon what was found but they don't tell Bonnie. With everything that is going on, Bonnie was Izzie to be safe, so she takes her to Greg's, Izzie's father. He will keep her until things are over. After the bugs are in Chet's home, Ortiz hears something that he plans to do to Bonnie and he tells Jon. Things change between him and Bonnie after he hears what Mack found and what Ortiz heard. They don't tell Bonnie what was heard and when she tells them she wants to go to the harvest party coming up. Everyone tries to talk her out of it but she has made up her mind. She knows something is going on and she demands to know what. Once she is told, she decides that it has to end and she is going to make it happen. Bonnie is determined to go to the party so Ortiz gets all the things he needs to make it safe for her to go. Unknown to them Chet is watching what they are doing and he changes his plans for Bonnie. Things do not go the way they want them to go and Bonnie is taken but not by Chet. Will Jon find and save Bonnie? This was a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anyone.

Interlaced Souls is a riveting story on several levels. On the surface level, it has a solid, pulse-pounding suspense narrative that sees Bonnie, the kind and brave heroine, and her precocious daughter ensnared in the plans of a dangerous stalker. On this same level is a sweet romance thread between Bonnie and Jon, the good-hearted yet scarred hero.
While these elements would make for a highly entertaining plot all on their own, what really makes Interlaced Souls a captivating read are its deeper emotional and spiritual aspects. Bonnie and Jon’s connection is profound and engaging, yet it doesn’t detract from the complex journey of growth and healing they each must take as individuals. Alongside all this, the characters are pulled into a spiritual quest that challenges and grows their faith. The result is both moving and inspiring.
I received an advance copy of this book but was not obliged to leave a positive review. All opinions are my own.
Bonnie is struggling to comprehend a series of strange events that seem to indicate someone is out to get her. Jon is hiding from painful loss in his past. Through a chance encounter, these two individuals find they are preternaturally connected through their dreams. Can they now help each other face their circumstances, or will lurking danger result in a repeat of Jon’s worst fears? Kimberly McKay weaves a fascinating tale of engaging characters, unusual twists, and heart-racing tension in Interlaced Souls. The reader is drawn into the story immediately, and the pressure mounts as the story builds toward an unexpected turn. The book is filled with romance, suspense, and spiritual significance. I highly recommend it! I received an advance copy of this book. The opinion expressed is entirely my own.
If you're looking for gentle, quick and heart-warming escapism then this book is for you. Interlaced Souls is a story of true love; a sweet story of connection. Even though this is Book 4 of Kimberly McKay's Spiritual Gift Series, you can read this as a stand-alone. I did that, but be warned if you do too - you'll feel compelled to read Endless Possibilities, Blind Instincts and Facing Redemption as well. In fact; save yourself the time and buy all four!
How many levels of thought can one book evoke? How many emotions? Interlaced Souls is filled to overflowing with suspense, spiritual awareness, abiding love and new ways to swoon! This story is refreshing with unique twists to keep you wondering what will happen next? The imagery is beautifully described, and I felt invested in the story from the start. Like nothing I've ever read before. Highly recommend.
