The first time he kissed me, we kept it a secret.
Tanner and I have been at each other’s throats ever since.
The second time he kissed me, I told myself not to fall.
I should have known something burned beneath the surface and I couldn’t resist him.
The third time led to something more and now one positive test later, neither one of us can walk away.
Only when his past sheds light on every difference we’ve chosen to ignore, we’ll have to fight for each other, or lose everything before we’ve even had a chance.

Fantastic ending to the series, and the Bonus Epilogue was Amazing!

Natalie and Tanner are the last two of the eight friends to pair off and we all knew it was a matter of time before they got together but they are so different from one another even Tanner never thought it would happen.

Carrie Ann did an great job with not only giving us characters we can't help but love, but she also gives a story line that has us, well me at least, holding my breath at times and jumping for joy at others. Natalie comes from a life of privilege, her family is wealthy and her mom has an old fashioned look on things...where she believes Natalie should go to college to find a husband not a career. Tanner's life is very different, his father passed away when he was younger and his mother works hard to support herself and her two children but her boyfriend leaves a lot to be desired. The one thing both Natalie and Tanner have in common is that they both come from dysfunctional families.

As I mentioned this story has a lot of ups and downs with emotions but one thing is constant and that's the chemistry between Natalie and Tanner, which is HOT.

If you enjoy Steamy New Adult Romances, the Opposites Attract Trope or the Surprise Pregnancy Trope I would recommend this book to you. And if you haven't started the series, now's the perfect time to binge read it.

Happy Reading!!!

So sad to see this series end! In the finale, we get the story of Tanner and Natalie. They have a great chemistry, and their story is a great combo of heart and heat. A bit more miscommunication than I enjoy as a central conflict, but still a great ending. And I loved getting to spend time with the whole crew in the end.

This is my favorite series of Carrie Ann Ryan, these characters are wonderful. They are young but have an inner strenght that is commendable. They faced a lot of things together and created a very strong group of friends. Tanner and Natalie are always fighting and they came from different families and paths. She is a protected virgin and he is a boy from the wrong side of the track. He is hard working and she is trying to live outside the shell she was raised.
I loved this story because they are so different but understand each other so well.
This is the best finale ever and I loved it so much!

4 star Review My Bad Decision (On My Own #4) by Carrie Ann Ryan

There has always been friction between Tanner and Natalie and yet their underlying connection is strong. This was a good addition to the series and had me invested from the first chapter.
I was drawn into the story that Ms. Ryan wove about Tanner and Natalie and this was a good conclusion to the On My Own series. My Bad Decision was well written with characters who are easy to relate too.
There were a number of twists and turns and I admit I was surprised. The miss communications between Tanner and Natalie were a little frustrating at times but seemed to fit the characters and their story.
What cannot be denied is the chemistry that sizzles between them. Their journey was a rocky one but it was entertaining to watch their story play out.

4.5 Stars for My Bad Decisions (On My Own #4)
What a wonderful story to end the series with.
Tanner and Natalie are both keeping secrets but when the young gets tough this couple will always have each other’s backs. Miss communications and secrets were always going to keep you on the edge of your seat, add in their dysfunctional families, the steamy romance and you get a captivating read.
The chemistry is sizzling, the journey us emotional yet entertaining and this book has the perfect mix of love, heat and angst. My Bad Decisions is a well written story that I highly recommend.

My Bad Decisions was a really enjoyable read. I haven’t read one of her books in years and I really want to kick my own butt.
Tanner and Natalie are part of the same group of friends but that’s about all they have in common, except for their smoking hot chemistry. Every since they first kissed, they are constantly fighting. The angst around them is a living, breathing thing. They are opposites in every way imaginable. Such as she wealthy and he comes from a single mom who struggles with providing for herself and her two children. Her mom had me wanting to knock sense into her. She thinks the purpose of college is to find a husband, not a degree. Then they get the surprise of a lifetime.
I truly loved these two. They are so different, fight as much as they breath, carry secrets that could destroy them but through it all, they stand by each other in complete support. Their chemistry is something to strive for in any life. I highly recommend this book. This is my honest opinion, freely given.

Audible review:

I recently had the opportunity to listen to My Bad Decisions by Carrie Ann Ryan and I loved it. Narrated by Aaron Shedlock and Emma Wilder, this is the 4th book in the On My Own series and brings us Tanner and Natalie’s story and it was an emotional and touching. Though Natalie and Tanner have very different backgrounds, they share some amazing chemistry.

Natalie comes from a family of wealth and privilege; however, she is starting to find her own way. Tanner on the other hand has had struggles and negative thoughts but is truly an amazing man. I loved how caring he was and was there for Natalie when needed. As things begin to change for them, can they be honest with each other and find their happily ever after? Another great read in the series and I just loved the ending we got for all the friends and couples.

Happy listening!

Natalie and Tanner’s story explores some very real situations, and deals with issues that are relatable to many. Carrie Ann doesn’t shy away from giving her characters big obstacles, and it was very enjoyable reading how they found their way to the ending that suited them best. It is sad to read the last of the On My Own stories, however I suspect we will get sneaky cameos of our favourite characters in future stories set in the same world.

Full disclosure: I was given an ARC of the book, however this review is my own honest opinion.

My Bad Decisions by Carrie Ann Ryan is book 4 in the On My Own Series. This is the story of Tanner Hagen and Natalie Blake. Tanner has had to work for everything for himself and to help his family. Tanner has even taken to keeping it a secret that he has a job at night from his friends. Things have been tight after his father's death. Natalie is the rich girl who family tries to keep a control over her and direct her path. But when she gets some freedom she starts to want her own goals and life path. Meeting Tanner they have secrets and a lot of miscommunication but I so enjoyed their path to each other.

With the concluding book of the On My Iwn series we have Tanner and Natatlie's story, alongside ling visits with the rest of the group. And it's a lovely one. Their relationship has been fractious as they have fumbled their way through their conflicting feelings for each other. The plot takes an unexpected path, one which I enjoyed, though I did wish they would talk to each other more candidly! In the final analysis, this series has been filled with Carrie's warmth and affection for her creations, one which we are able to share. And the epilogue is a delight. 💖💖💖💖

My Bad Decisions is Book 4 of the On My Own series and while it stands fine on its own, these books are so good I highly recommend reading them all. I have loved every single one of these stories but this one is definitely my new favorite. We get to know both Natalie and Tanner throughout the first 3 books so it's like watching a romance bloom between your best friends. This series has been amazing and I'm sad to see it end.

I absolutely loved this characters and the way that the story was written. It pulled me in from beginning to end. This is the fourth book in the series but can be read as a standalone though you do get extra enjoyment if you have read the previous books due to knowing these characters and seeing the others in this book. Natalie and Tanner have been circling each other in the previous books, we have seen them sniping at each other but had no idea why. It was great to really get to know these two better and figure out what they had going on. I loved the way that things developed between them and the way that they dealt with the obstacles getting thrown in front of them. They were adorable. Things didn't go smoothly but they didn't let that stop them. I loved the extra bits that we got with the rest of the roommates as it did a really great job of concluding the series.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

There is just something so wonderful about a young man behaving as a man—aside from his secrets lol. This is a Carrie Ann Ryan book after all. Tanner has moved up in this fictional world as my favorite. I love that the journey they were on also includes an awakening for others and their life choices. They were both so right and perfect together, protecting of each other as well as being the others strength. What amazing parents that will lead to! The friends being a part of this was pure perfection as sometimes family isn’t always blood and instead are who we choose. Thank you for this story. I pulled an all-nighter to finish it.

My review is written voluntarily after listening to the audio version of this book.

I have enjoyed this whole series and with each book, I felt a growing interest in Tanner, he intrigued me, he was such a good friend to everyone, well everyone but Natalie, with Natalie there was always a hardness evident, the way they sniped at each other had to mean the either disliked each or they were fighting an attraction. It turns out they were both fighting their mutual attraction to each other.

Natalie comes from money, lots of money, but somehow she hasn't turned out like the girls she grew up with, in fact when she attended a bachelorette party with them she was embarrassed by their rude entitled behaviour. Her mother wants her to give up her ambitions to work in social care and marry someone of her choosing but that's not what Natalie wants.

Tanners family and past are never talked about, he keeps lots of his life a secret. His father died serving in Afghanistan and although Tanner has to work to pay for college he still sends money home to help his mother take care of his younger brother, even though his mother is in a relationship now with a man who served with his father. Tanner has always felt that he wasn't as good as the guys he shares the house with or good enough for a nice girl like Natalie.

When they finally do give in to their attraction they have both been fighting the connection they form is one neither can deny but it's also one neither of them trusts, each thinks that if they admit their feelings the other will leave! They waste a lot of time by not being open and honest with each other.

Tanner's past will have an effect on both their futures, as for Natalie's parents when they meet Tanner they force Natalie to see them clearly for the first time. Tanner and Natalie become even closer after this, and as well as having each other they also have their friends, their new chosen family, to help them through the changes they are facing in their lives. Because sometimes the family you choose is better than the one you're born into.

One of the things I loved about this book was the two epilogues which take us first four years after graduation and then six years where we catch up with all the housemates. The only thing I disliked about this book was that it brought to an end this wonderful series.

The narration by Emma Wilder and Aaron Shedlock is again wonderfully well done, each character's personality is so well developed making it so easy to know who is speaking, and bringing just the perfect level of emotion to every situation. Thank you to them and to Carrie Ann for this wonderful series.

Natalie Blake grew up in a very rich environment but when she chose to go to Denver State University she soon learned about real friendships. She also saw herself growing further from her parents as what they wanted for her was nothing like what she wanted for herself.

Tanner Hagen grew up with a single mom and brother after his father was killed overseas. He has a job at night which he keeps from his friends in order to make sure his bills are paid and to send some home to his mom. Although he loves his mom he is not a fan of her boyfriend, Jared, who puts him down constantly.

There has always been a lot of attraction between Natalie and Tanner but both have been afraid for their own reasons to act upon it until Natalie sees Tanner working one night.

When one night together takes an unexpected turn can the two of them figure out a way to overcome everything against them to find their own happiness and way?

This is another great book with some great characters.

I really liked Natalie and how she became her own person in this book and realized she wanted her own life which was very different from how she grew up. She wanted to help people and not be a "trophy" wife for someone her mom wanted her to marry.

Tanner was awesome as he was someone who was doing everything he could to better himself while still helping his mom. My heart broke for him with Jared and I knew he wanted to get his mom and brother, Cody, out of there but knew ultimately that it was his mom's choice.

The chemistry between Tanner and Natalie was awesome! Although I do think Natalie should have been honest with him about their hook up as I'm sure Tanner would have gone about things much differently.

I hated how down Tanner was on himself because of his background and viewed himself as less of a person. Although meeting Natalie's parents did not help at all. Psycho!!! i liked how Natalie saw above everything and was going to do the right thing while managing to put it in a way that Tanner was okay with and didn't think less of himself.

I was absolutely shocked at Jared and how he showed up at dinner and the things that were said. My heart just broke for Tanner and everything he was put through when he was truly doing the right thing.

I was so happy when one character changed their tune and began to do the right thing! Made me very happy!

The very end was a little dicey there for a bit but I was very happy how it all turned out! Can't wait for more!!

4.5 stars

Tanner and Natalie have watched their two sets of roommates pair up, and though they each secretly harbor feelings for the other, they refuse to accept that the feelings might go both ways. Each are hiding more than just feelings from each other and the roommates: they each have issues that make them feel like they don’t quite fit with the rest of the group, despite the friendships they’ve built. When the two friends who bicker each time they are together give into temptation, they find themselves facing a positive test and an entwined future whether they try a relationship together or not.

I loved these two characters so much. It was clear that they were hiding something from the rest of the roommates, especially through My Next Play, but I couldn’t have been happier with what their story had waiting for them. Though they were the last single roommates, they were by no means thrown together just because. The way they balanced turned to each other and found common ground despite the tension that naturally flowed between them had me rooting for them to open up fully.

This was a fantastic conclusion to the On My Own series. Watching all of these roommates form these forever friendships and relationships has been a joy from the start (ok, not joy the entire time, but you know what I mean!). Ending with Tanner and Natalie, both holding on to their secrets felt like the perfect icing on the cake.

With so much bickering and sniping at each other, Tanner and Natalie have off the charts chemistry. Tanner and Natalie give into their attraction, but Tanner feels guilty and unworthy when it turns out to be Natalie's first time. Tanner and Natalie are in for a shock when Natalie ends up pregnant. Tanner knows this will change his whole life but plans to stand by Natalie and help raise their child. Natalie and Tanner agree to raise their child together but dodge the issue of their feelings for each other and if they are really together as a couple. How will their friends react when they learn Natalie is pregnant? When Natalie's parents react worse than she could have imagined, will Tanner be able to give her the support and love she needs? When Natalie learns the family secret Tanner has been hiding, will she look at Tanner differently? Can Tanner stop feeling he isn't good enough for Natalie and their child? Will Tanner and Natalie confess their love for each other and become the family they want together? I loved My Bad Decisions by Carrie Ann Ryan. Tanner and Natalie are a fantastic couple who have lots of issues and baggage to work through to find their happily ever after. I love how their friends rally around them with their support and love. The glimpse into the future of the friends and how their lives have changed with marriage, babies, and new jobs was great. One thing remains the same is that their friendship has flourished and grown over the years. I would highly recommend getting My Bad Decisions and the other books in the On My Own series by Carrie Ann Ryan. I received an ARC copy of this book, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

My Bad Decisions
On My Own, Book 4
By: Carrie Ann Ryan
Narrated by: Aaron Shedlock, Emma Wilder

I don't want this series to be over! I love these four couples and this last story just had my heart! This is Tanner and Natalie's story, and what a way to wrap up this wonderful series. Tanner has always been attracted to Natalie, but never felt he was good enough for "Princess". Natalie too has had eyes for Tanner, so when the opportunity arose, she took it, and that one night stand may have been a bad decision. Now tied to this man for life, these two young adults wade through the mess they call life. Parents, friends, where to live, what to do with school and work, all the things they are not ready to take on are suddenly upon them. Will they find the answers they need? I absolutely love this one the best! It's the boy from the wrong side of the tracks with a woman willing to stand by him no matter the cost. Natalie shows her strength and love as she makes tough decisions about her past, present and future. Tanner is misguided and needs a good woman like Nat to keep him grounded and show him the man he is. Plus all the support from their friends. This ensemble is fantastic, made me part of them and I loved every one of their stories.

The conclusion of the series is narrated by Aaron Shedlock and Emma Wilder. Shedlock as you know is a favorite of mine. He is perfect to be Tanner, as he finds his essence. He bleeds the vulnerability and indecisiveness and holds the love all in the tone of his voice. Wilder concludes the series as Natalie, strong yet naked in her feelings. An amazing performance to conclude an amazing series.

One stolen kiss changed everything between them, it lead them places they had only dreamed about going... and places neither were expecting! Now they find themselves changing their life plans, fending off doubts and distaste from their families, and hoping that they don't lose one another in all the drama surrounding them. It's an impossible situation... will they survive it?

Between the pages of My Bad Decisions we meet two friends that got lost in a moment that wound up changing every part of their lives. After a positive test they realize that they will be joined together indefinitely... but not in all the ways that they hope. They both secretly love one another, but don't have the nerve to tell the other for fear of ending up with a broken heart. They wonder if their love is strong enough to hold them together and help them tackle all the obstacles standing in there way. It's a heart-squeezing journey that you won't be able to pry your eyes from!

I absolutely adored these characters, my heart hurt for them, rejoiced for them in happier moments, and skipped quite a few beats for them in the end! It was such a emotional and heartfelt love story, one that is certain to capture the hearts of many readers! Highly recommend!

Great story and what a perfect way to end this series. I have really enjoyed reading about each couple, but Tanner and Natalie have always made me wonder about whether they have any secrets, anything hiding that no one else knows about. I have to say that I appreciated Tanner being there for Natalie even if he was having his own doubts about his past and the family he came from and I was a tad surprised when his secret came out but in life sometimes you have to do what you have to do and sometimes it’s not pretty but Tanner made the decision and stuck by it. The scenes where they were telling their families was also interesting. . . in Tanner’s case his mother’s ‘friend’ was beyond horrible yet when they went to visit Natalie’s family, money or not, they were just as horrible. I am glad they had the support of their friends, and I also appreciated the tight bond the ladies have and are there for each other no matter what; good, bad, or ugly, they’re a tight group. I should have expected the ending with Jared rearing his ugly head but at least now he can’t get out of anything and will have to pay for what he did, and I also appreciated Natalie’s dad and how that played out. Wonderful story and ending and the 4-years later epilogue was awesome and a perfect catch up for this amazing group of friends.

The latest in the On My Own series by the whimsical Carrie Ann Ryan; My Bad Decisions is an explosive read that readers can’t put down.

Similar to the previous books in the series, Natalie watched her friends fall in love and face down their fears. Yearning for the same, she finds herself going toe to toe with none other than Tanner, a man that she can’t help but crave, but can’t stand craving.

Tanner and Natalie are oil and fire, they feed off each other and not always in the best ways. However, their attraction to each other is something they just can’t ignore. Their first encounter is fire and ice, but not nearly enough to purge their feelings, which leads to more and more. Then the twists and turns start and BAM! The story really starts taking a turn. Tanner’s past starts to worm it’s way into the present, setting up a new set of challenges for the new couple. Secrets come to light, and two lines change the course of their lives forever. My only comment on this book would be that it surprised me with how much Tanner and Natalie couldn’t seem to talk to each other. You can tell they care about each other, but like many couples, they can’t seem to pull the stick out and actually talk to one another.

Anyways…

Carrie Ann delivers a fun, suspenseful, read with relatable characters that readers want to get more of. The spicy scenes are great, the drama even better, the series has been an awesome addition to my kindle library. I can’t wait to see what the author delivers to us next. 4 Stars!!

Tanner and Natalie could not be more different. Six of the eight friends have paired off and these two are the last standing.

Natalie is very different from the way her mother wishes her to be. Coming from privilege her parents expect her to do one thing but yet Natalie is determined that she’s going to live her life the way she wants. Tanner grew up with his mom and little brother, he lost his life overseas. Life was not always easy for them yet Tanner does everything he can to better his life and to make things easier for his mom even if the man in her life is not one that Tanner cares for. Tanner hides what he does for a living because he feels like it makes him less of a person yet when a certain friend discovers what he does it seems to open up more possibilities than he could’ve dreamed of.

My Bad Decisions is an emotional conclusion to the On My Own series. Tanner and Natalie like each other more than either one is willing to admit. Through all the arguing and banter you could feel the underlying desire and chemistry. They both have their issues and confide in one another to help themselves. Big life changes hit them both hard and quick and I love the way they came together. Tanner and Natalie had to work hard but love is hard work. Carrie Ann Ryan completes the series wonderfully.
