Lake Ness #3

The Return: Lake Ness - Final Journey

Rate this book
No call could ever be more magnetic or instinctive than the call of the past. Gerry is irresistibly drawn back to Lake Ness but it doesn't take long before he discovers that while battling prehistoric monsters is hazardous to his health, he's up against far more dangerous foes in both the members of his own species and his own destructive thought patterns. After the unexpected arrival of Leigh and Sam at the lake, followed by a rapid series of betrayals, Gerry finds himself fighting for his life once again. However, this time he is driven by the knowledge that if he makes it out of here alive, his first task will be to contact his old colleagues in the scientific world and finally announce the existence of the Mosasaurs. The problem is, both the Mosasaurs and his so-called friends seem determined that the next death at Lake Ness will be his own. Can he find the inner strength to get through this, or will he end up yet again becoming his own worst enemy? This is the third book in the Lake Ness series, a compelling mashup between Jaws and Jurassic Park.

Its taking a long time to tell this story. The story is actually good but..

This is book three and the “hero” is still an alcoholic who thinks he’s a loser even as he saves people and does everything right. A WAHHH-POOR ME. Kind of guy who calls himself a loser but does nothing to change his life.

And Leigh. The teen from book one, is still in love with him, he’s to stupid to notice..and he was supposedly married and was cheated on. We are not told his age but in book one, his 20 year old daughter had been dead a couple of years..
6 years later Leigh is 21

So if he was 22 when his kid was born, plus a couple of years, plus 6 years,
He should be closing in on 50, if not past it.
and Leigh is 21. His stupidity is off.

Great book

This is the third book so far and it was excellent. I think I have finally gotten used to the writers style and each book has gotten better overall. The author develops the characters very well and sticks to the basic plot but adds a little more thrill to the story. This book has been the best as the main character has been targeted for murder and the attempts on his life from two of the long running characters surprised me and added a spark that was needed. Now on to the next part of the wild journey!

An interesting read that keeps you turning the pages!

Full of intrigue regarding the characters, as you get more layers of mystery, ie, half truths mixed messages what is the real story ...... unravelling around and surrounding all the Characters! A steady plot that keeps you turning the pages to find out more.

The return

This was a great read.i love Theis series .
gerry goes back to Montworth to see if the moiseurs are still there. Barney shows up then leigh and sam. What is going on? Gerry only wanted to spend a short time at Lake Ness to get his thoughts in order. The rest of the story you will have to read yourself. Hold on tight . You wont believe what happens.

Cherie Mitchell has done it again. This was a great addition to this series. I hate to see this series end. I have enjoyed the entire journey, although does any book journey ever really end?
