Quinn Loftis delivers again! I may not like the results, but I cannot fault the writing. The writing is amazing. The story is powerful. The characters live with me and therein lies the problem. Everyone one of these characters is a member of my family! If you have read the Grey Wolves and Gypsy Healer series, then you just might understand. Jen, Sally, and Jacque are the girlfriends I wish I had. Well, they actually remind me of a few of my girls. Costin, Decebel, Vasile, Lucian, Drake and maybe even a little Fane can be found in my husband. I have devoured these books. I re-read them over and over again so I waited with baited breath for Alpha Rising. I was fortunate to be an ARC reader and also bought the Kindle version. I will purchase the paperback during the release party. She is just that good!
Don't expect to get a lot of sleep. Once you start reading you will want to keep reading. Don't plan other activities, your mind will be on the Pack. The supernatural war is ugly. Quinn takes you right to the battlefield. The love among Packmates is so strong you want to jump into the book and live with them all. Titus, Thia and Slate are the next generation and I can't wait to see how they lead. The Great Luna and Peri keep showing up for those who are trying to do the right thing.
Good versus evil? Yep! Love versus greed? Yep! Lighthearted moments? All there. Tearjerking scenes? You bet. Unexpected twists? Well, it depends on how much you are invested! LOL! Keep an eye out. Quinn still brings us new things to explore. And, if you want, you can even have cotton candy!

I can tell you Quinn is so gifted it should be against the law for one woman to be able to create new worlds the way she has. This book absolutely destroyed me! I have never been so emotionally affected by a story. My face hurts with the amount of laughing and crying I have done today. Cannot wait for the next book ( I NEED to know what is going to happen).

Get ready for the most emotional ride of your life in this 12th book of The Greywolf Series! In my opinion this is Quinn’s best book to date, & the other books had already set the bar high! I devoured Alpha Rising with only a few hours of sleep midway through it! I cheered, laughed but for the most part, cried my eyes out! So have your tissues by your side! The battle against The Order Of The Burning Claw is epic & heartbreaking & far from over! I love the characters like they are family which is a true testament to Quinn’s gift of story telling. When you’re so emotionally invested, the losses are devastating! Expect the unexpected, prepare yourself for the worst, but remember, there is always hope & light at the end of the tunnel! We do find out who the betrayer is also! I also love as a Christian, the parallels Quinn’s draws to mind with The Great Luna in regard to Jesus! In summation, Alpha Rising is book of unending, unshakable deep love, faith, devotion, heartbreak, mayhem, betrayal, & a war for the ages between the Supernaturals for dominion of all! Thankfully, we can look forward to book 13 Warlock Queen around March next year I believe, or soon thereafter! I was honoured to be chosen to be one of Quinn’s ARC readers for this book & am so happy to finally able to post my review! Enjoy readers...For The Pack!

😭😭😭😭
Should come with a warning ⚠ label.. Prepare to feel like ur heart is being ripped out of ur chest and bawling like a baby. Ugly crying.. Have been some real ups and downs in this series so far.. Read recently and it's true what read if a book can't make u feel a mydrid of emotions then not worth reading. The ones that do leave imprints on our very souls. We don't just read them, we live them. Quinn is an amazing author that does just that! Makes u feel them so deeply it changes u slightly on a fundamental level. Like every book that does. Though cried more tears that probably decent can't wait for the next. Please I need more humour/jokes next one like some of the others had can't handle more like that 💔. Until next time xoxo

More time should have been taken to really edit and dive into this book more. I fell in love with the characters from book one and I understand where the author wanted to take the characters toward the end of this book however, it just did not work. There needed to be more character depth and "conflict" to overcome, specifically by the character Fane, in order to get to the end of the book in the position that he was in.
Fane and Jacque made a transition from the Prince/Princess position to the Alpha positions without the believability of the characters to rise to that place in my opinion. There were also so issues with editing that were distracting for the reader.

November 23, 2020Oh my lord what can't I say about this amazing book. This book is the best so far in this amazing series. Make sure you have tissues, and chocolate. You will laugh, cry, cuss like you normal with the amazing people that you have come to love and feel what they feel while driving into this supernatural world.

Alpha Rising is an amazing journey with those we've come to love so much. There's so much love, laughter, and heart ache. It's an emotional rollercoaster that you need to endure. Make sure you prepare a survival kit of hot chocolate, kleenex, and any other comfort food you may need. Be sure to clear your schedule and dive in. Alpha Rising is by far my new favorite by Quinn Loftis.

When this book was (finally) released I was already in the middle of another series and planning for Christmas, so I forced myself to wait to read it. I also wanted to re-read the series from the start as it had been so long since the last book. So, two weeks ago I restarted my Grey Wolves journey, re-living all the ups and downs and loving the characters all over again, crying my way through Sacrifice of Love, hurting with Sally and Costin and everyone else. When I finally got to those last, haunting, words of Tears of the Moon I was eager to jump right into this one to find out who the traitor was. I admit, after seeing the cover and title for this book, it was obvious to me that at least one major thing would happen. I thought I was prepared for it, I really did, But Quinn has such a way with words and her characters are made so alive through those words that there is no possible way to be prepared for the absolute gut-wrenching pain and sadness of this book. The emotions this made me feel will stay with me for a very long time. I read this last book in just a few hours, despite having to stop reading to catch my breath and wipe my eyes quite a few times, I just could not stop reading and feeling. By the end I honestly felt like I was there, standing with them all. Thank you, Quinn, for continuing this series, even knowing there is more darkness to come, I am looking forward to the next book, please dont leave us waiting another two years.

WOW - This was my first introduction to Quinn Loftis and The Grey Wolves series and it was amazing. I loved the characters, the story line and the rollercoaster of emotions! I am currently on Amazon searching for this entire series!

The characters live with me and are treasured members of my family! If you have read the Grey Wolves and Gypsy Healer series, then you just might understand. Jen, Sally, and Jacque are the girlfriends I wish I had. Well, they actually remind me of a few of my girls. Alina, Lilly, Cindy are the aunties you can always depend on. Obviously being on book 12 of this series it goes without saying that I LOVE this series. I am so in love with the characters and their relationships with each other. They all are unique but pair fabulously together. But as much as I love the series, I just couldn’t do 5 stars for this one. It’s well written, the emotional parts got to me, but I just felt myself skipping chunks or bored with what was happening. I guess it’s just that these last few books have all be a build up and I’m sort of past all of it. I know a good writer develops everything, and that is 100% what is going on here, but with 2 little kids around, and not being able to just zone into a book whenever I would like, I just don’t have the time and attention to spend 2-3 books building into a finale. I am by no means wanting a finale to this series, let’s keep following all the generations 😁 but as a mom I just don’t have as much love for all the in between stuff that I did in the past. Fabulous book though. I always struggle with my next read after finishing one of these because the next book has so much to live up to.

I finished Alpha Rising last night and was disappointed that The Warlock Queen was not available so I could continue the story. How can you do this to those who love you?
Awesome book! The events in the book had to happen eventually. By listening to The Great Luna, I understand you are planning at least 13 more books in this series. (Titus' stories, Slate's stories, Bethany & Drake's baby's stories, and none of us can wait for Thia's stories.) If you didn't do anything else, how long would it take to finish? Good but sooo many characters
The writing of this book was wonderful and my emotions were tied to every detail. I cried and I laughed . I also skipped pages as the endless side stories became boring. The story was Alpha Rising but focused minimally on the Alphas... side stories and Jens impulse control overshadowed the potential tales of the the new Alphas. Overall I enjoyed the book but was left with a question of what could have been.

CHILLS, PAIN, SHORTNESS OF BREATH AND MANY TEARS LATER this book completely blew my mind. If you have been on this journey since the beginning and is attached to all the amazing characters then please prepare for your heart to be broken and shattered. Make sure you have hot chocolate, tissues and if you need support after then I am here for you!
Alpha Rising was definitely worth the wait! Once again, even through the pain Quinn does an amazing job to bring light into the darkness of situations. I am speechless and in awe. This is probably the most pivotal moment for the pack and I can't wait to see what's to come!

"It isn't the number of times we're knocked down that matters...it is the number of times we get back up."
This is probably my favorite book in the series, and I probably won't stop crying for days to come.
Maybe grab a drink, cause this could be a long review. Reading this made me feel so nostalgic. I started this series when I was in sixth grade, and at that point only about 4 or 5 of the books had come out. I read this series obsessively, and I fell in love with the characters.
Fast forward to about 2-3 years ago, and I started rereading this whole series where there were 11 books out and I realized they were not amazing by far, but I would still probably cherish them for years to come.
This was my first read of this novel, which hasn't happened in about three years. I haven't read one of these books for the first time in three years, so I could go into this not knowing what was going to happen. I had a guess, but still.
I am completely in love with this book. Quinn Loftis has really upped her writing and her plot points. I was not bored with this in the slightest, and I am so ready to continue with these books because I now can say that I have no idea what happens next.
I am really sad and mad about some choices here, mainly because I am not ready to say goodbye to any of these characters, but I also think it was time. Quinn made sure it was a beautiful send-off.
This was by far a 5 star read. Just seeing all of the growth that the main characters who have been here since the beginning have gone through is truly amazing to read about. I feel like I am growing with them. Especially since some of them have kids and are married now. I love the new characters that we have met, and I still remember the ones we had to say goodbye to.
My book probably has some dried tears in here, because I cried throughout the entire book, but it's ok. I'm so ready to see what happens next, and I can't wait to watch these characters continue to grow and make mistakes. It's going to be one hell of a ride, and I'm so glad this series isn't quite done yet.

Absolutely Awesomeness
This is a awesome series! There are parts that will bring smile to your face with lots of emotions in your heart, and what a story it will easily grab your attention. There's a combination of secrets and excitement that's full of suspense.The characters are great and their passion burns up the pages with their chemistry. Along with feisty heroines who is so independent that it makes you have a delightful smile. The story is great with a it's suspenseful and vengeful vibe.The series is such a pleasurable experience that you will certainly enjoy them all. These stories are so11 believable that they make for great reading. What happens when a couple enjoys the fight and their make up activities is awesome along with their chemistry its call forever and it turns into a love for life. I really enjoyed this series of books.WOW! This story will easily grab your attention. The characters are such a extraordinary pleasure that written with such imagination that it makes this series full of amazing stories.Such as wild sizzling passions and a captivating couple that makes this awesome to read. This story will bring a smile to your face with lots of emotions. The characters are awesome and the pages burns up with their passion and chemistry. Peri is a feisty heroine who is so independent that it makes you cheer her on. This is such a pleasurable experience that you will be kept on the edge of your seat. I have to say that this paranormal story is awesome by this author of course its suspenseful and definitely binge worthy. As I said earlier it will make you turn each page until the end. There is a lot stuff going on with these characters, Lucian is sure about his mate but Peri have problems because of who she is à plus along with everything else they have evil to fight. What a story to enjoy. Even the secondary characters are great just as well! Got enough yet I hope not because this story is so captivating. ENJOY!!

[All I can say is that reading this book hurt so much 💔. I sobbed and shed too many tears.
It took me longer to read this book because since I first saw the title, I just knew what was coming. I just wished for QL to prove me wrong, but it didn't happen. My heart was left in pieces.
Still, I have to say..., Quinn Loftis has done it again. She has made me fall even deeper in love with the characters and has delivered an amazing story that has not yet ended. We have suffered, but we have also seen all the good things. We have seen darker days, but there's hope in the future.

Well, at first, I thought the story was repetitive and it was more of the same, but the author totally prove me wrong. This story has always been moving forward. Since the first book, the story has been developing constantly and has never been stuck. What has happened was necessary and has move the book series one step forward into the future. Because of this and because of all it made me feel, this book gets 5🌟 from me.
I am soooo looking forward to the next books and to see how our author will keep moving the story into the future. 💖🐺

Reading the Grey Wolves series has been an incredible journey. I bought and read the first book back a the beginning and I have been devouring them over and over again since. Loftis has created such an amazing and immersive world with these characters you truly become attached.
I don’t even know where to begin….. I wasn’t sure what I was expecting to read when I started Alpha Rising. I can tell you Loftis will take you thru an absolute rollercoaster of emotions. She has done a beautiful job creating this world with amazing characters you cant help but get attached to. This out of all of them was probably the most emotional for me out of the series thus far. But with the pain felt while reading comes such amazing joy watching characters grow into their place within the pack. I’m truly at a loss of words with this book – I also don’t want to spoil anything for anyone who has not had the pleasure of reading this…. I am just going to go sit in a corner and think about the amazing book that I just finished. I cant wait to see what Loftis will do next with this series and what will come to pass with these amazing characters!

OMG....where do I begin. I fell in love with the GWS because of Jen, Jacque & Sally but as the books kept coming I came to love, hate, envy and admire so many more. They felt so real that I wanted to aspire to become like them. After sacrifice of love, I cried while reading a few scenes from Den of Sorrow but for Alpha Rising I cried so much that my eyes were all red & swollen. While reading about the fate of certain characters I felt like I should hate Quinn for doing this but I couldn’t....the (logic) sacrifice, love and ultimate reward for them was too good to hold a grudge. The epilogue blew me away, just when I thought I was all cried out she did it again....the love, the selflessness, the sacrifice of some of our beloved characters was beyond amazing. I’m crying as I’m remembering those scenes while writing this review. Jen was also epic with her being “the arm delivering justice”, her warning and the speech in front of all allies.....I so want to be like her. Thea, slate and Titus are the most amazing kids.....can’t wait to read more about their contributions as they grow up.

I was in tears. Vasile and Alina will be missed. This was almost too much. I recently found this series again after stumbling across the first book on my kindle back in middle school. I feel an actual connection to this characters that’s helped me get through some of the toughest years of my life. I know they aren’t real but knowing that they’re dead….I couldn’t help the tears. I felt the same pain as the rest of the pack. Their characters will be missed, heavily.
On the bright side. I am so damn excited for Fane. I have been wondering when he was going to step into the Alpha roll and how powerful he would be.
Also the Great Luna being the creator of ALL the supernatural races!? Love it. Although she does piss me off at times.
I wonder if Quinn will continue the series or start a new one when the children are grown up. I’m excited to see what the pups have to offer and see them grow.

Alpha Rising is the epic 12th book to the Grey Wolves Series. What started as a teen love story in a small Texas town has grown into a pack taking on the evils of the world. Our favorite characters have grown up before our eyes but remain the dedicated loyal friends we fell in love with. Choosing good and standing against evil is never easy but as the great Alpha Vasile once said “if not us, then who?” Quinn’s gift of the bringing the story and characters to life is nothing short of amazing. Even when she deals out gut-wrenching blows you can’t stop reading. The plot twists and surprises will leave you counting down the days until the next release. Alpha Rising will send you on an emotional rollercoaster as it tests the bounds of love, friendship, and pack. When the story seems dark look to the Great Luna to always light the way.

Oh wow my heart 😭
This was truly an emotional rollercoaster. Quinns writing style is amazing and powerful. I have never cried so much reading a book before it truly touched my heart.
I have followed these amazing bunch of characters from the start within Grey wolves and gypsy healers series. Every character lives with me and feels apart of the family. I feel their pain, heartache and joy like I am there living it with them, that is how powerful this writing is!
The way the Great Luna is portrayed is fascinating and I love it! However, without giving anything away I am saddened with how this one ended and the loses that incurred but, but as the Great Luna has taught us, she loves all her creations, everything happens for a reason, and it was meant to be 💜
I'm so excited to see how the next generation lead and what happens next. I think I may have to read them all over again they are that good! 😂

I don't believe I have ever cried this many times ever while reading a book. But just reading about everyone's pain and my love for both Vasile and Alina was just too much 😭.
And now I kinda want to stab Quinn for making me feel this, and for killing them because Alina is especially one I will miss so much, because of all her wisdom and unconditionally love for everyone.
And I really feel for Fane because they were the ones he would go to for advice and generel wisdom in a given situation, and not to mention that they're his parents.. But I truly believe he'll be a great alpha and general leader.
But on another more cheerful note, if it hadn't been for Jen, I don't think I would have made it because she always comes with something so stupid you just can't help but laugh out loud, which is why she's my favotite character, and because of that she better not die too!!

Here we are Alpha Rising Book 12 in the Great Wolves Series by Quinn Loftis. With this being the 21st book in the joint story of GWS and GHS you might ask yourself how could there be anymore left to tell or surprises? Well? Quinn has a gift and with her words she keeps you holding your breath wondering what is going to happen? Times where you feel like your heart is being ripped out from your chest only for it to feel mended by warmth of the story she has crafted. This has been the toughest part of the journey for the pack and for the readers yet. Isn't this a fictional story of super naturals and magic can you really feel so connected to fantasy? Well like I said Quinn has a super natural gift of her own and that is to give you the escape to a fantasy world but ties it so strongly to reality. How? The bonds and relationships made in this series friendship, love, family, is tested with hatred from others and trust in your faith of the people you surround yourself with are overwhelming relatable to the real world. Thats how she unites reality to fantasy and keeps you so emotionally tied to this series. There are powerful lessons from these stories that can be and need to be applied to real world. OMG WHAT A BOOK!! EHHHHHH!!!
Overall I felt like this book was laying the foundation for a whole new series that featured Fane as the Alpha. I thought the book was going to be the wrap-up for the series but instead the author opened up a whole new series (possibly?) I thought it was pretty short and again, needed for 'book 1' of the new series I hope will happen. Of course she had to leave it at a cliff hanger... URGH. I can't wait for the next book to come out. But whoa, I'm ngl I shed some tears over the deaths... I have to go back a reread the rest of the series to soak up all the Vasile and Alina moments. :(((

This amazing book has you on an emotional rollercoaster. There’s sadness , laughter and lots of crying. It will have you feeling all the ups and downs. The writing is out of this world. We learn so much about survival and putting trust in people that we don’t even know. Thank you Quinn for introducing us into the lives of these fantastic characters and books. Quinn Loftis did it again she never fails to amaze me with her writing and the love she puts into all her incredible characters. You should be very proud of yourself. This definitely is a book/series worth reading
