Katie Terry loves her family, but she never wanted to return to Sapphire Bay. After the twelve-month clause in her grandmother’s will comes to an end, she’s moving back to Los Angeles to pursue her dream of becoming a bestselling author.
Peter Bennett has made a fortune developing IT solutions that change people’s lives. When he’s asked to return to Sapphire Bay to create 3D prosthetics for veterans, he sees it as a way to unwind from the stress of city living and pay forward the kindness that changed his life.
When he meets Katie, he’s shocked. Eleven years ago, he asked her to marry him. The following day, she left Montana and never returned to the small town he thought they both loved.
As their lives become more entwined, he can’t help but wonder what would have happened if Katie had stayed in Sapphire Bay. But her big-city dreams are still pulling her away and he won’t make the same mistake twice.
This novel can easily be read as a standalone. Each of Leeanna's series are linked so you can find out what happens to your favourite characters in other books. Happy reading!

Christmas at Lakeside: Return to Sapphire Bay Book 4 is by Leanna Morgan. This is a book about the Terry sisters. Upon her death, their grandmother had willed them her inn in Sapphire Bay with the stipulation that to inherit, she girls must live there together for a year. They agreed and have spent the year refurbishing the inn, bringing it up to date yet keeping its charm, and reopening to a successful business. Penny, Diana, and Barbars have settled in Sapphire Bay and have gotten married or are planning on it. Only Katie is not married. Katie is doing the cooking for the inn and is pretty much running it at the moment, although the others do pitch in. Katie, however, writes children’s books and really wants them published. However, it is hard to do when she is in Sapphire Bay and her agent is in Los Angeles. Katie is determined to get them published and plans to return to Los Angeles as soon as the lawyer says she can go. Meanwhile, she also helps around the town. Pastor John had started a little house area for homeless people to help them get back on their feet. One of these was Richard and his seven-year-son Jack. Pastor John not only gave them a place to stay; but hooked Richard up with Peter Bennett whose company was trying to create a new type prosthesis for legs. One that reacted as if it were real. With Richard trying out the prosthesis and having success with it, his life was much better than it had been and his confidence was much better too. Peter Bennett had made his fortune in IT businesses and now was creating better prosthesis using his IT knowledge to finetune the products. His first run of prosthesis had finished its trial and he was now seeking funding for a second run. He had also given money to Pastor John’s other charities but anonymously. He was considering moving his business from New York City to this small community in Montana. However, his interest in Katie and the possibility of her moving to Los Angeles was making his decision to move quite unstable.
For as long as she can remember, Katie Terry has wanted to write and publish children's books. She has six books written and ready to go—now it's just a matter of finding the right publisher. Or is it time for her to take matters into her own hands?
Peter Bennett is the CEO of a company that has the power to change people's lives. Through his advanced development of prosthetics, Sapphire Bay resident Richard is already feeling like a new man.
When Peter visits Sapphire Bay to check on Richard's progress and look at other potential studies, he doesn't expect to fall in love with a lively redhead. In fact, he finds himself considering opening an office in Sapphire Bay, just so that he can stay and get to know her better.
But Katie believes her dreams lie in Los Angeles and she's not about to change her mind anytime soon. And then an irresistible offer of a lifetime threatens to pull her away from Sapphire Bay and her budding romance with Peter.
Will Katie choose her writing or her relationship? Or is there a way for her to 'have it all'?
As with the other books in the Return To Sapphire Bay series, this can be read as a standalone. However, I would highly recommend reading them in order.
I admire Katie's feistiness and passion for writing. However, I did feel at times that she was unnecessarily stubborn, particularly when it was clear that her family was supportive and had her best interests at heart.
I appreciated Peter's back story giving us an understanding of why and how his job sparks a similar passion.
I would recommend this read to anyone who enjoys cosy romances with a dash of complication and a spoonful of mystery.
Katie steals Peter's breath the moment he see's her, he knows, she is his one. He also knows just how rare it is to find that one, and will do anything to keep their love...I am not sure Katie realises just how amazing Peter is! The final book in the Return to Sapphire Bay series, this is a little bitter sweet, but we are getting another spin off series set in Sapphire Bay later this year, so we will still get to catch up with all our favourite residents each time we visit!
I loved this story. Christmas At Lakeside is the 4th installment of the Return to Sapphire Bay Series. The whole series was delightful. The journey to happily ever after for Barbara, Diana, Penny and Katie Terry was a joy to read. All the supporting characters were also fun to read about. And guest appearances from old friends were enjoyable. Leeanna Morgan weaves a great tale. I hope to return to Sapphire Bay soon. I will probably read the series again, like watching a favorite movie. You don't want it to end.
This was another wonderful series by Leeanna Morgan. I have enjoyed all of her books and this one was perfect. It was fun to catch up with all the people from the previous 3 books. It can be read alone, but it’s a great ending to this series!!!!
These books in this series were so captivating that I couldn't read then quick enough! Lean a Morgan is such a great writer. Read this series and you too will be moving to Montana!
Katie's books finally get published and then she gets the opportunity to go to LA and lead a readers' conference, she and Pete have developed a relationship, and she has to decide between her future in LA or her love in Sapphire Bay. Great Read
I think I loved this book the best out of all four of the Terry sisters books. Now the problem is waiting for the next book by Leeanna Morgan to be published
