THE GODS ARE REAL?

Mel Crider could never compete with his three brothers in life. They had everything he didn't; good looks, athletic ability, and the adoration of their parents. But Mel had other things going for him. He was a bit of a genius when it came to strategy not that he would ever brag about it. He also had the fact that he was selected to partake in the upcoming beta test for the new fully immersive virtual reality MMORPG that is EvoBorne. If Mel knew what was in store for him he never wouldv'e gotten out of bed that morning.

Join Mel as he enters the game and learns the terrifying truth that is his new world. Set in the same time as Jack's adventures, see how Melodious Knightwalker came to be and where this adventure will take him

Note: This is a bit of a companion book to the first book in the series, Break. However, it does expand further past book two through Mel's eyes.

Hello! I hope you enjoy my books and will continue to enjoy them for as long as I am able to produce them! So... I hate about me sections, I am terrible talking about myself, but I will give it a try. I am a long time gamer and avid reader, who loves spending countless hours in new and old video games as well as a great book. I've always had a dream to write stories that people can't stop talking about and want to read again and again. I am new to letting others read what I have written but can't wait to share the worlds I create with you all.
I like to spend my days writing, reading, gaming, and exploring the world in search of magic.

I graduated college with a degree in business administration; however, my dream has always been to be an author. I love hearing from fans so please shoot me a message and let's have a conversation!

Having read the first two in the series I was really looking forward to reading Dodge by Shawn M. Green. Book three fleshes out one of the characters, (that I am sure will be part of the team in the future) filling us in on his adventures in this very real, strange new world. Talk about your kick 'em while he's down story, this one is a doozy. While I did miss having the book talk about the continuing adventures of the main character, this is definitely a story that had to be told. I also can't wait to see Mel finally catch up to our other heroes. I find the characters wonderous and applaud Shawn's writing style. Could use a little less repetition on game mechanics, but non-gamers probably need the extra input. Put this series on your TBR list especially if you like LitRPG. I liked Dodge like the 2 earlier books in the series so far. Dodge takes a turn on the rest of the series and focuses on Mel who is back alive after he was saved at the end of the previous book.

Mel takes on his own quests and has several adventures in this third book of the series. His adventures are fun, in a similar vein to the other books.

I appreciate having less pages with character leveling up details (am new to LIT-RPG genre and still not used to this aspect, though I get why it is done).

If you liked the two prior books, you'll likely enjoy this novel too.

Dead? Not really

The third book was not quite as good as the first two, but it was still worth reading. This book is the story from another characters view point (Mel’s) and wasn’t quite as intense as the first two. He meets new friends and new players, gets in lots of tough situations, and barely escapes with his last life still intact. He also picks up some new skills that are pretty impressive. Altogether a pretty good read.

I received a digital review copy of this from the author through BookSirens. Change of POV for this one. We get a backstory and a game story for Mel and an entire book essentially outside the premise of the first two (god quest and all.) Green reduced the game mechanics minutia from the previous books and the story, while still light, has evolved. I liked this one better than the first two.

It was nice to learn the backstory of Mel and his path to EvoBorne. Mel’s character was nicely developed and the situations he landed in made for a good read.

The story remained true to the arc and I look forward to the next installment.

Here is another hit for this series. Great LitRPG story. Fantastic characters and plot. Well written with a a couple of twist. No graphic sexual content but does have a good amount of violence. I recommend it for teens and up. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Change of pace

This book is from the viewpoint of Mel from Book 1 , interesting but i would of liked another tie into how it works with the main character Jack. Shall still carry on as im interested in how the series develops.
