Soon after Seth Montgomery and Haven Gaines find each other, they are caught up in the turmoil surrounding the Legend.
The Legend reportedly occurred over two centuries ago, when an angel appeared to a small group of pioneers on the Virginia frontier and gave them a mysterious prophecy concerning their land. Through the years, descendants of the pioneers protected the land as they awaited the prophecy’s fulfillment, leaving a fortune in coal untouched beneath its surface.
Seth and Haven learn that the current owner and guardian of the property is Seth’s kindhearted grandma, who is now terminally ill. While Haven slowly comes to believe in the Legend, Seth, the sole heir to the land, considers it a myth and plans to make millions from mining the coal.
Haven’s dad, who despises the Legend, unknowingly aligns himself with evil men who intend to take the property by any possible means.
With only her hope and faith to sustain her, Haven must choose between supporting Seth and following God’s path alone, wherever it may lead.
What a lovely story to show the working of God's will in the lives of His children. The characters were so well developed, the lives played out with all their issues exposed, and a perfect picture of love and redemption. Heartwarming and well worth the read, humanity on full display and how forgiveness releases the soul.
Such an uplifting book! Repentance will bring everlasting joy. Pride goeth before a fall is so true. Trust in God and follow his path. I would recommend this book to all those who question their faith.
It is a story filled with miracles. Lola found the Lord Jesus. Many miracles were happening. It is a story filled with new births and new beginnings for all the characters.
