I have to say I have read several of the The Chronicles of Darius. I have not read them all as I probably should. The title will grab my attention and I will pick it up. Jess Thomas writes a good story but feels more like it would if they were graphic novels. I would enjoy them more. I appreciate the face that in story mode you can picture them as you wish as the reader; I have never found myself able to do that with these books. I almost wish there were more details not just of objects in her world but details you don't have of the characters. The stories are well written but it is an older young adult type story. I can say this one is by far my favorite of the ones I read and am glad I picked it up. I would recommend it for the YA lover in your life especially if fantasy is their preference. It does have homosexual relationships but dont let they discourage you. I absolutely adore Paden and his mate. Everyone should have a mate who loves them as much.
