Thorough resource.
E.g. “Amos” translated sins. The Hebrew word translated as sins in the TNIV is Pesha` (פֶּ֫שַׁע)
Anderson and Freedman comment that the use of Pesha` to describe the crimes of the nations suggests that this inexcusable breach represents a violation of God's basic commandments and obligations. It has indeed offended and aggrieved the other party, Yahweh. Therefore a punitive attack of retribution is expected as the appropriate action. (p323-324.)
