Kayla began her journey toward biblical stewardship shortly after leaving the field of financial advising (2016) to take on her new
role as a stay-at-home mom. She wanted to focus more on what mattered most and have more purpose, love, and joy in her life. Desiring
God’s direction, she began reducing distractions out of her life in order to recognize God more clearly. Tired of being in a rut and repeating the same mistakes over and over again, she decided to take a more in-depth and topical look in the Bible to find out how she should live her life.
The Changed Life: A Journey toward Biblical Stewardship is what propelled her forward and became a roadmap toward being the woman God called her to be. She shares her journey to help others use the Word of God with the Holy Spirit’s help to find direction and
purpose and a fulfilling life.

Kayla is a new resident to Oklahoma where she resides with her husband (m. 2007) and two young boys (b. 2016 and b. 2017).

Great book!!! The author equips you with the spiritual perspective needed to live a God-honoring lifestyle. She challenges the reader to realize the difference between the biblical truths and the worldview concerning every aspect of our lives. She provides a “roadmap” for a transformative journey through scriptures to discover your authentic self; who God made you to be and how He wants you to live your life here on earth. I will use this as a handy spiritual guidebook as I continue on my journey to deepen my relationship with the Lord.

Back in early 2018, I fully dedicated myself to Jesus, unapologetically. I had the strongest hunger to learn more and desired a REAL relationship with Him. I was looking for a place to start so I decided to go to my local LifeWay, a Christian Book store, to get a new Bible and other books and supplemental resources to help find answers to my questions. Out of the 5 or 6 books that I bought, I didn't find the supplement I was looking for. The book that I was looking for had yet to be written.

Nonetheless, the Bible speaks for itself and the Holy Spirit gives understanding. So, I started my journey with Genesis and Jesus.

Three years later, the book I was looking for in LifeWay on that fateful day was published by my friend Kayla Phillips The Changed Life: A Journey Toward Biblical Stewardship - a book that is packed with scripture in just 124 pages. Not only that, it provides examples and application exercises - for those like me who learn best through application. It is a guide for those who are new and mature in Christ and a great reference for students.

I highly recommend this book for any of my friends who have questions about God and what it means to work out your salvation.
