Rafferty ‘Rafe’ Walsh achieved his childhood dream and joined the military. Once he achieved that, he went further and became a top-notch sniper in Team FIVE, the most respected commando unit in the Australian army.
Rafe did not like to fail, not on the battle field, not with a weapon in his hands and not in his personal life.
Well, two out of three ain’t bad. With a failed marriage under his belt, Rafe did not think things could get worse. He was wrong. Tragedy struck just as Rafe thought he was out and free. He lived with the guilt, keeping it a secret, not only from his team, but from a woman he wished he met first. Saving Peyton was both a blessing and a curse. Blessed with her friendship, but he was doomed to stay there because of his past. How could he expect Peyton to understand when he could not forgive himself?
Peyton Duncan knew about loss. She experienced it in the worst way. First her boyfriend, then her parents and months later, the most important person in her life. Peyton did what she did not think she could, she picked herself up and made something of her life. And it was working out just fine until the universe decided to kick her butt one more time.
Meeting Rafe under dramatic circumstances was the best thing that ever happened to Peyton. He was her best friend, but she wanted more. Putting herself back out there meant trusting a man with her heart again. She thought she picked the right one this time, but Rafe had a secret that could derail their budding new romance.
Can love survive secrets? And what if the danger comes knocking for Peyton again? Is it all over, or will the universe give this perfect couple a break and let them live happily ever after?

I love romance. I read constantly. Seriously it’s an obsession. I started reading romance at 12 years of age and haven’t stopped since. My mind is always thinking of new story lines, new alpha’s that will capture their woman’s hearts. I’m in love with love.

This story was quite enjoyable we loved Rafe and Peyton's story. The story was filled with heart and soul, regrets and pain, and was filled with a ton of emotion and a lot of love.

Rafe and Peyton went from friends to lovers and once they made the decision to turn the tide it was full throttle from there on out.

As always we loved the interactions with the original members and as well as the second generation the teasing, camaraderie, love, and the connection team 5 have for one another.

The story took on a few twists and turns and had more than a few surprises but, it also created a great deal of pain for one of our favorite couples, and that broke our hearts.

Rafe and Peyton made the perfect couple, and we enjoyed their story of finding love in the present and Rafe letting go of the guilt surrounding his past. The story ended wanting more, and we can't wait to happen next.

This series just keeps getting better and better with each book. I loved the original series, The Wounded Souls, and the Wounded Son is right up there with them. I love the way the author lets us keep up with the cast of the Wounded Souls as they play a secondary role in each Wounded Sons addition.

I have been anxiously awaiting Rafe and Peyton’s (AKA Bunny) story. Ever since he rescued her from the burning vet clinic, I knew their story was going to be intense and special and boy oh boy did the author ever not let me down. These two both have secrets. Things from their past that are holding them back from living a full life. Yet the pull between Rafe and Peyton is huge. They get each other. Their story is one full of suspense, tragedy, love and romance. Watching two people learn to trust and open up while the world around them is causing havoc made for an outstanding storyline.

2 Thumbs Up and 5+ Stars for Rafe.
Plus I Highly recommend both series - they are all 5+ Star Reads.

As with all the books in this series I was hanging out to get my greedy little hands on Rafe and I was once again not disappointed.

I can't tell you enough how much I love this series and how much I adore Leah's books.

Rafe was everything I hoped it to be and more , Leah outdid herself on this book . I related to the storyline more then I could possibly have of imagined and even though it brought up some emotional baggage in me that I thought I'd dealt with it was cathartic to say the least .

Leah took the delicate contents of the storyline and shed a light that is often times a very dark place for those who have suffered or knows those who have suffered such a tragic loss.
If you haven't read this series by Leah Sharelle I encourage you to do so. She is in my humble opinion one of Australia's most talented authors who truly writes for her readers and always goes above and beyond in regards to researching her subject matter so as not to offend anyone.

It is absolutely fantastic to be back in the world of the Wounded Sons and the Wounded Souls MC. Honestly, it’s like popping on your favourite pyjamas and relaxing when you start this story. This fourth book in the series is every bit as good as the other three and it is so good to get to know Rafe better, the dark horse he was in the other books he is no longer!

Peyton and Rafe met in book three and you could tell he there was an instant attraction but it seemed more like he wanted to protect her. Well he does 😆, but oh so much more. They are absolutely fantastic together, their chemistry is combustible but their friendship is rock solid and that makes such a big difference.

This story tackles some heavy issues and wow, are they handled well. Yes, I will admit tears did appear as I read certain scenes, one in particular where I was a bit surprised by my emotions but it just goes to show the quality of the writing. There are many humorous scenes with fun banter that has you chuckling out loud too.

I loved the interaction with the Souls MC as well as The Flock, not only is it wonderful to revisit them because they are such solid, dependable characters but they are so funny too... oh and still sexy! 😉 There is a part of the story where they are a part of the focus and I don’t think I could ever forget how poignant it is and nor do I want to either.

Another terrific story in this sensational series but be warned it is addictive and that ending is amazing!

Wow!
What an action packed book! And so many questions answered.
I loved Rafe and Peytons relationship. Through tragedy a friendship blossomed to which a relationship was inevitable.
Really liked how they both had secrets to share and did so (albeit not the whole truth).

Cannot wait for Ghost and Deke’s stories, they gonna burn the pages I reckon!

As always I really do 100% recommend Leah as a 5 star author, you literally cannot go wrong when you choose to pick up one of her books ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

As with all the wounded books this is another awesome book. I love Rafe and Peyton together. Both have suffered so much in the past and together they find love with each other. Insecurities arise and an enemy resurfaces but together and with the help of the “souls” they beat it.I highly recommend reading this book. I can’t wait for more.

Leah is one again back in the Wounded Souls world, this time taking on another new character that doesn't have ties to the original team five.
Rafe's not their son, however he is a current team member of the new and improved team five hand picked by Gabriel.

Not being an actual son, doesn't stop the bond that Rafe has formed with the Souls and the families, or his fellow Sons. Those boys have bromance down pat. He is loyal to his team and they in turn are loyal to him, but that doesn't mean they wont tell him when he's screwed up in his personal life. Rafe had demons in his life, ones that brought him guilt and thinking about them brought enough pain let alone talking about them out loud. He didn't want anyone to view him differently for events that he believed he caused. SPOLIER. He didn't actually do anything.

Peyton is someone we met in Grill and I can safely say I was surprised by her story line; That was some thing I didn't expect and would have loved for all aspects to have been explored a little more.

She's the girl who was teased in school and because of that she learnt how to express herself in ways that meant she was no longer the but of the joke but the envy of others, god I wished I had a friend like Peyton growing up. The aspects of her teenage years are what shaped the person she is today and I kinda liked her.

The story line of Grill, which was partially left open, has been completely wrapped up and some new story lines have been set up for future books, which I am highly curious about.

I'm going to be completely honest here.
Like a lot of books in this series there are things that I would have loved to see explored more, (mentioned above) and things that I thought could have been dialled back a bit in terms of the word count they gave. However, this series also shows a lot of potential and room for the author to grow in her writing.

Peyton and Rafe’s storyline took an unexpected turn from page 1. This was a couple I wasn’t sure where Leah was going to go with them and she blew me away.

Peyton and Rafe has instant chemistry from day 1 when he saved her. Overtime their friendship blooms and there is no doubt they belong together. However they both have pasts that hold them back so it’s a struggle for them each to give in.

Once they take their leap it’s amazing! But you know Leah can never leave them just to theirselves and someone has to come try and screw it up. I will say the drama in the book wasn’t expected in their story. I figured it would have been held out for another character but this only makes me question what Leah has up her sleeve for the future.

Still traumatized over what she did to Darth makes me question if she is fixing to drop her hammer down and kill someone else. Totally uncalled for Leah! Lol You know how I feel about this. Keep your murdering of characters to the bad guys please!

Be prepared for Leah to give you a cliffhanger for the next book. It will drive you mad wondering what is to come!

Rafe & Peyton

They met when he rescued her from a maniac's attempt to kill her and her boss. He became her hero, friend, and eventually more. Both had pasts they didn't want to share. Would sharing them make a difference?

She didn't want to lose his friendship. Being with him was the only thing that kept her feeling safe. Still, she supported his missions when he had to leave and was there for him when he returned-- Unlike his previous relationship. Would the man who'd tried before succeed this time? They hadn't caught him. Would he be back?

Watching the two of them fall deeper and deeper, seeing the support of the club and team makes for a compelling read. This next-generation series is every bit as good as the original. An enemy too close to them all, romance, deeper ties at home, acceptance, loyalty, friendship, and family make for a fulfilling story with characters the reader will love and cheer on.

Man oh man Leah Sharelle... You always leave me happy and sad all at the same time at the end of your books😊😢

Rafe and Peyton's story was so cute. I loved it from start to finish. When the story started I wanted to slap Angie a few times but once Rafe met Peyton and tih just knew they had an awesome connection cause they were friends first 😊. I loved that they had this amazing friendship and from there it turned into something more. Poor Peyton didn't have an easy life either but loved that she found a family in the Wounded Souls

Though I couldnt understand why he never told her about Angie... But like Booth (#Sigh) said., men do things that only makes sense to them.
My heart broke for Kelsey and Jason (they are one of my fav couples) No matter what their son did he was still their son and that could not have been an easy knowing all the evil things he was responsible for 😢

All in all another hit. Leah Sharelle you delivered on action, suspense, drama and boy oh boy was those sex scenes steamy🤭 And again lady leaving us with lots of unanswered questions, how could you😔 I am anxiously waiting for the next book now😊💖

This is the 4th book in this amazing series and is the Rafe and Peyton’s story is a perfect addition. These two have been through so much in their lives, and from the moment they meet there is an instant connection as well as explosive chemistry between them. This is a beautifully written story which is emotionally charged, and is raw, gritty, action packed, and with secrets, danger, suspense, emotions, loyalty, friendships, and with witty banter which all leads to a humorous and entertaining tale. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend for all.

I really enjoyed this story. Both Peyton and Rafe had rough pasts that they had kept secret. In order to give in to the attraction between them, they came clean with each other. I had tears in my eyes as Peyton relived her tale. They were hot together and worked through the danger surrounding them. I did not want to stop reading. I highly recommend this book, and I plan on reading the ones before.

I received an ARC of this book, and this is my unsolicited review.

Rafe is a story that has you on an emotional roller coaster, where your heart will break and soar all at the same time. Rafe and Peyton had a connection the moment their eyes meet, however with pasts that have scarred their hearts these two hold each other in a friend zone while their souls try to grab hold of their other half. As these two finally give into what their hearts have craved, it might be secrets that destroy it all. A story that is passionate, heart wrenching, witty and action packed to keep you held hostage to the pages. As another Wounded Son steals our heart you will feel the chemistry that radiates between Rafe and Peyton deep under your skin. A story that touches your soul, delves into realistic issues and leaves you on the edge of your seat and counting down the days until the beeper goes off and Team FIVE are calling us back for more.

The fourth title in the Wounded Sons series is a friends to lovers romance with equal parts suspense, drama and romance, featuring Rafe and Peyton.
Both the hero and heroine have survived grief and loss and have their fair share of secrets in regard to their pasts. Both are resilient survivors and Peyton brings out all of Rafe’s protective instincts. Despite the demons Peyton is struggling with she is determined to take back control of her life and I admired her resilience and strength.
This title ties up a few loose ends from earlier in the series but also left me eager for future installments in the series.

Rafe

I wish I could give this book more than 5 stars. Rafe and Peyton were fantastic characters to read about. She took her knocks but stood tall. Rafe with his big heart took too much on his shoulders. Peyton helped him see from a different perspective, which just amoured their relationship.

This series has gone from strength to strength. I find myself impatiently waiting for the next instalment then when I have my hands on it....I read it in one sitting. But worse - it leaves me feeling lost once it's finished. The author is so good at spinning the Sons world that you climb into the story. You get imagery in your head from how well the descriptions are written. That added with the author's own unique, witty sense of humour....your onto a winner.

I wholeheartedly loved Rafe and already have my grabby hands out in preparation for the next book.

I can’t even begin to tell you how good it felt to be back with the Wounded Souls family and Rafe’s book, the fourth in the Wounded Sons series is another fantastic addition to this amazing array of alpha-males and the woman they love.

Rafe and Peyton have become good friends after he came to her rescue during a fire at her workplace, ever since that unfortunate event he’s felt the overwhelming urge to protect her, which he has been doing only it’s getting harder and harder for him to resist the growing attraction he’s been feeling towards her, due to some issues from his past us readers bear witness to his inner turmoil as he struggles with those feelings all whilst learning to let go of the past and move forward with the woman he’s fallen for.

However in order to move forward some truths need to be revealed, on both sides, yet when Peyton bears her soul to Rafe he keeps schtum with plans on telling her another time, things progress nicely between the pair as they embark on their new relationship but Rafe’s left it a little too late and Peyton finds out what he’s been keeping from her in a way he never wanted her to which causes some upset between them. Will Rafe be able to redeem himself, making all things right? Or has he left it too late as a face from the past makes an reappearance looking to cause trouble for the Wounded Souls.

Like I said this is another fantastic addition to the series, Leah has tackled some heavy, sensitive issues and she’s done it with all the respect and grace they deserve, there’s also the typical humorous banter that we’ve come to know and love with this lot. Sit back, settle in and prepare to lose yourself in Rafe.

So excited for the next Wounded Souls installment! After the hysterics that happened in the last book, I was so excited to see what would happen to Justin and how the MC would handle the fallout from one of their own. Leah did not disappoint! Rafe has been attracted to Peyton since saving her from the fire, but he has baggage from his previous relationship that still has a hold on him years later. Thankfully, Peyton helps him start to grow and heal from that but not without misunderstandings. Peyton has built herself up since experiencing devastating loss at a young age, but the fire has really caused her to struggle to cope and move on. Determined to take her life back, she takes proper precautions in securing her home as well as asking Rafe to teach her basic self-defense in order to protect herself even further. Thankfully her decisions will come back to haunt her when Justin resurfaces, and the turn of events had me on the edge of my seat reading how everything unfolds. This is definitely a don’t miss book from Leah but also in this series, and I am so excited to see what happens in the next book as they handle the aftermath.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Rafe is another book in The Wounded Sons series that will steal your heart! Truthfully this is one of my favorites in the series, and overall from Leah. Rafe and Peyton are just one of those couples that are easy to love right from the start. Their friendship is filled with attraction, chemistry, and sweetness that builds into a great love that is irresistible. I was hooked to this book, flying through the pages, totally obsessed with Rafe and Peyton. You'll find romance, suspense, amazing family & friends, and heartfelt emotion on every page of this book!

Y'all I love these books... and Rafe and Peyton are no different. Rafe brings peace and comfort to Peyton and even when she wants more he holds off. They each have secrets there not ready to share. Its fun catching up with everyone but its alsp good seeing both Peyton and Rafe growing apart and teether. I was super shocked Rafe kept his secret as long as he did. Im glad in the end there able to get on the same page.

Wow what a roller-coaster story.

Rafe is living with so much guilt, so much obligation and so much anger. His life didn't go the way he planned and when it looked like it was finally back on track, the universe decided to throw him a curve ball.

Peyton never had it easy growing up, always being the odd one, being the freak, being the black sheep of the family. But when tragedy strikes Peyton she decides to live her life tje way she wants.

After the fire, Peyton lost her sense of security, lost her freedom and lost her spark. She only feels safe when the big soldier man that pulled her out of the fire is around, Rafe.

But Rafe is battling his own demons.

What will happen when their pasts collide with their present, will their future suffer?

Friends Peyton and Rafe have always been close, but Rafe finds that he is haunted from a person from the past and is struggling with his growing feelings for Peyton as more then friends. Rafe has always known he wanted to be in the military to serve his country, but a failed marriage has him questioning if Peyton can handle the demand of being a sniper for Team Five, a commando unit.

Peyton is struggling with her own demons but when Rafe lets it known he wants more, she quickly knows he is who she needs in her life. The only problem is danger is still lurking.

Terrific story, was not sure how this one would go because you did not get a lot of Peyton before this book. I really enjoyed this couple, they were a perfect match.

Wow, what a brilliant story. This had everything I wanted. I couldn't put book down once started.

I can't wait for more.

I CAN'T GET ENOUGH!
First I fell in love with the Wounded Souls and now the Wounded Sons. Who knew I could love so many men at one time. Lol! I was pleasantly surprised to find out there's so much more to Rafe than what I thought. In the other books I thought he was just a quiet broody loner but now we get to know him inside and out. He is still quiet but he's hurting and he's been lonely for a long time and he's carrying guilt for something that he had no control over. Peyton is so sweet I loved her instantly. In some ways she alot like Rafe. She is hurting and lonely and has never felt love like the one she lost. There is a strong attraction between Rafe and Peyton and it started when Justin set fire to the animal clinic. Rafe looked into her amber eyes and his turkey was done! Watching the love grow between them is so heartwarming and sexy. Peyton starts to feel so strongly for Rafe that she decides to open her heart and confide in him about her painful past but Rafe keeps his locked up tight but wants to tell her so badly. As they start to get closer I started getting nervous because I knew something was gonna happen I just had no idea what but when sh*t hits the fan I couldn't sit still and couldn't read fast enough. Lol! I love when a book gets so exciting that I have to read faster to find out what happens next but then I hate that it ends that much faster. I never wanted this book to end, when trouble shows up I was almost in tears and then how things turn out left me feeling kinda conflicted. I was heartbroken for the family for the way things turned out but I was happy for Peyton and Rafe and then when Peyton reveals her secret I was so excited but also concerned. WOOH! talk about an emotional overload. Lol. Peyton and Rafe are so passionate the sex scenes are so hot I thought my ovaries were gonna explode. WOOH! I loved every minute of it. I was so consumed I didn't want to put it down. I am so in love with Rafe. Lol. I have to laugh because I say that alot. I have so many book boyfriends my spank bank is full for the next year. Lmao! Rafe and Peyton are so good for each other she's just so sweet you can't help but love her. I really hated for this book to end I need more and I can't wait for the next book so we also get to catch up with everyone else. I EXTREMELY RECOMMEND THIS SERIES TO EVERYONE!
