Do you believe in Myths? Just when she thinks it can't get any worse, it does. Lucy lost everything four years ago in a rogue attack. She's been abused, starved, rejected and broken. As her eighteenth birthday approaches, strange things start to happen, things that only happen once every century. She finds friendship in the most unlikely place and escapes to find her true self with the help of the most dangerous Alpha.
Warning: This werewolf trilogy is not intended for anyone under the age of 18 or anyone who doesn't enjoy a good spanking. It will take you on adventures around the world, make you laugh, fall in love, crush your heart and possibly leave you drooling. Side effects can only be cured by reading the next book in the trilogy - Broken Alpha!
I'm not really too much into PNR these days, but I've discovered that rejected mate stories are definitely my jam. This story had such great reviews, that I didn't hesitate to DL. The story itself wasn't too terrible, but the dialog of all the characters (even the wolves) felt so immature, Very much like they were all high school age or younger. I did feel some angsty sadness for Lucy. Her mate was an abusive POS, who not only beat her, whipped her, and brought her close to death more than once, he allowed others to starve, injure and abuse her until she needed medical care too. It was very sick to experience in this story. The story did keep me interested enough to stick through it to the end though. If the dialog could have just been more realistic, and not so adolescent, this story could have been so much better.
A beautiful tale of rejection and second chance love. I had my doubts when I started reading this but just loved the story. It's one of the best 'werewolf-rejection' romance novels I've read in a long time (if you ignore the typos). The story is about 18yo Lucy who is a punchbag to her packmates. She is bullied, starved and rejected by her mate (Ranger) & alpha of her pack. Her loser first mate chooses another mate and hurts Lucy in all ways possible. He abuses her so bad that she has a miscarriage. She runs away after that and finds a her 'second-chance' mate; a powerful alpha (Diesel) and her loser first-mate's younger brother. I liked the part where she embraces her uniqueness and emerges a strong luna. Seems she is a rare, special and strong wolf afterall.

Reads like YA except that there are sex scenes. YA in the simplistic writing style but especially in how the werewolves talk to their werwolf selves. For example, Lucy's werwolf is named Lia. Lucy talks to Lia and Lia's dialogue reminded at times of Gollum to an overexcited puppy. I read this for the angst. The angst made up the first 30% of the novel. There is an interesting plot - I liked the back history for the alpha males but I did start to lose interest when there was no angst, as the chemistry between the MCs was not unique or emotional. A case of insta-love. Which, to be honest, was what Lucy needed, given what she went through.
If hallmark made a shifter movie with some sex scenes then this would be it. I got to 68% but just couldn’t do it to myself anymore. It felt like it had been written by a 10 year old (minus the brief sex scenes).
It’s 2 stars and not one because yeh it does have a plot. There are characters. And the pace of the story is sound. However. It really is just one big shifter cliché after another and the characters are one dimensional and predictable. There’s also a lot of crying. A lot. There’s this whole Cinderella theme which just feels odd for pack life. And at 68% everyone is just walking into a room and shouting ‘MATE’ and it’s all just not good in a way that is making me cringe. A lot of it made me cringe.
This series has so many good reviews though on GR and Amazon - so clearly I am in the minority but.... I’m not sure I should be.

This book was so good, the whole first half of this book was so sad tho, the bulls*** she went through was horrible. I hated Ranger so much I'm so glad they didn't end up together and I'm so happy Lucy got away from there and found her true true mate! Thank you Alpha Diesel!!!! Also Max was hands down one of my favorite characters in this story, If he wouldn't of been there for Lucy she probably would've been dead.
I gave this book a 5....on to the next book... If u love a strong Alpha and kind and sweet you must read this trilogy... I loved Lucy...my heart was so angry and sad for what she went through Happy ending...now for their children stories Action, adventure.,mystery, love, heartache, betrayal, rejection it has it all Thank God for Max....Loved Lia and Duke the coolest werewolves around...
Very childish and poorly written. Take out the cringe-worthy sex scenes and it would be a child's fantasy book. I liked the premise but it needs a stronger author.
Ok. I wasn’t sure I would like this book but in the end, I can overlook the choppy writing and focus on the story. Sure. It’s predictable but dammit we aren’t reading the classics. 🤣
And classic it is not. At times it read like a “My Diary” along with an excessive amount of unnecessary details BUT I can skim that so it wasn’t a deal breaker for me. 🤷🏻♀️
I liked the fmc Lucy. I mean, sure she went from a powerless beaten down slave to a “once in a century super power wolf” (soooo Mary Jane am i right?😝) but she didn’t do stupid shit either. I was THRILLED the author used other ways to get her into trouble and not just make her a dummy when the need arrived. THANK YOU AUTHOR!!! This fmc WAS NOT TOO STUPID TO LIVE. PRAISE. 🤣
I really loved her eventual mate, but he was pretty standard for me. Nothing too memorable but also nothing annoying. I mean, it’s a good day when fictional characters aren’t annoying tf out of me. Ok? 😩🤦🏻♀️😂🤣

A well written story that encourages you to love to hate. If you love a bit of angst, this book has it. Having just finished the 2nd book, I wouldn't recommend it leaving the story after this book.... it does get better.
I wanted the fmc to have sweet, sweet revenge on her abusers but does that happen the way I pictured it in my head it would, with her burning everything down !!?!?? But noooo, she basically forgives her ex fated mate. And hey, it’s true, the writing wasn’t particularly the best but I’ve read worse.
This has quickly become my favorite trope. Mate finds mate and is rejected. This book was different than most of the others...not gonna spoil because I don't want to ruin for others who love this trope as much as I do. Anywho, this was a great story, it flowed and had some great characters and the world build was on point. There were some errors in words, but nothing major that had me wanting to put down and stop reading. A matter of fact once I started I could not put down. Just read it, you will enjoy it.
The storyline itself was good, however the writing itself was so basic. I really struggled to keep going with this, it was pure stubbornness which made me finish it.
Eh, this was alright, 2.5 stars rounded up to 3 just because. The story was ok, but I found myself getting a bit bored and rolling my eyes alot when the h became the best at everything in a very short time. Never fought before or had any previous training but in just a few weeks was the strongest, fastest fighter, her wolf was the alpha of all alphas with god like power etc. Yeah it just became a bit ridiculous tbh, but not a terrible story overall. Oh, but something that really peed me off was that Ranger, her first mate, not only rejected her but beat the crap out of her several times and caused her to miscarriage and almost die, nothing happened to him! No repercussions or consequences, nothing. He was originally going to die because his wolf left him, but then the h saved him! Yeah! Then he just got to go back to his old life, remained alpha of the pack and had the possibility of finding a second mate! WTF?!
Something I’ve never seen before…on kindle (iPad) with the black background layout, the text is blue! I have to wonder if it’s blue to help us stay awake on those nights when your eyes try to fall asleep but your brain still wants to read? Will there be a purple book? Pink? Oops turns out only some chapters are blue 🤷♀️
Anyway :-) more importantly the book grabs your attention from the first paragraph. Thanks goodness because nothing but rereads have been keeping me happy lately. Heroine is treated bad bad bad, evil OW (s), evil alphas and pack members, yay! It’s all very dramatic and some parts are predictable but that’s what I was in the mood for.
This book had some promise at the beginning. Sure there are some obvious grammar issues but I like the idea of rejected mate finds new mate.
This book felt like a teenage wrote it. It has no depth and it is extremely repetitive and obvious. I saw decent reviews but I don’t agree with them. Everything was just there. A book void of emotions after 35%. It is all insta love and everyone has a second mate that is supposed to be a rare phenomenon and she suddenly gets invincible in like a week. I just don’t get it.
My fault I didn't read the reviews and just went for it. Spoilers so don't look if you don't want to know.
Lucy was abused by nearly everyone, cue usual jealous female. Cue usual abusive alpha. Cue usual rare wolf colour. I read it all because I was interested if it would get any better. There was a princess in it somewhere, a prophecy, rogues as usual, pregnancy, ready made mates done instantly and forgiveness of abusive alpha. I'm not reading the next one.
This book is amazing and so is the sequel. I absolutely loved the novels and the author is one of my favourite authors out there. I was captivated from the first paragraph and was not able to put it down. It’s been two months since I read it and I still gush about how amazing it is! I would recommend this book to anyone who wants a good read!
Loved this book so much. Love it when the underdog (wolf) comes out on top and what a fantastic character Lucy was to start off so meek and submissive and end up being the most powerful of all. Made me smile a lot :)
Liked the storyline but where was the chemistry? the romance? the relationship development? This just felt insta.......like 50% mark was all about the sufferings of this fmc and rest 20% was war next 30%was her and mmc which felt like a not so good on romance.
Recap: After Lucy’s mother, the Luna and many members are killed in an attack, she moves into the pack house per the Alpha, her dad’s bestie, to protect her. While trying to mourn his Luna/wifes death he passes the pack to his son, Ranger. Ranger let her stepmother take over the house and she is stuck on a bunch of blankets in the laundry room and forced to work for scraps. We find out later this is because her stepmother was abusing her to appease her lover, the rogue king, she was the traitor. Ranger allows people to abuse her without any repercussion. The things this girl goes through is awful, thankfully the beta, Max, is her lifesaver on many occasions and even notices that she’s not eating and brings her food every day. They become best friends and he is the only one she can ever truly trust. On her 18th birthday, her mate is revealed to be the alpha, he has sex with her and uses her and then he rejects her because he says she is too weak. She is actually the golden wolf and a descendent from the moon goddess with firepower. He continues to let people abuse her while Max tries to keep her alive. She ends up being pregnant, and Ranger can control himself because of the bond still drawing him to her due to her, not cutting off the connection and I hope for him, but he ends up throwing her in the hole for six days after someone told him a lie and doesn’t let her eat, which causes her to have a miscarriage. She finally accepts the rejection and he loses his mind. She almost dies, but once again, Max saves her and gets her to agree to a plan for her to escape. His old best friend Diesel is the Alpha of the strongest back in Canada and he tells her to go there he will send word of her to protect her. She makes it there very quickly due to her special wolf and Diesel ends up being her second chance mate, but he is also Rangers brother. She sees that the former Alpha is at this pack bc it was his original and his younger son, Diesel took it from his crazy uncle. She is hesitant but realizes he is nothing like his brother and his father is so disappointed. She starts training and gets stronger and her powers grow with her former alphas help. They are falling for each other even though they know war is coming, they accept each other and she becomes pregnant again. Max and his sister reveal their mates with the Canada pack when they come to visit and then stay by power. Ranger comes and realizes he lost her and how horrible he has been, nothing can correct it but she forgives him. When they go back to her old pack, people still tried to abuse her but this time Ranger is quick to correct everyone and kill anyone that disrespects her because it is not okay. She finds out that her father only married her evil stepmother the protect her from people finding her, he knew she could have the powers. The battle is crazy but with her powers they win and the rogues fall. HEA they have 2 boys and a baby girl at the end, Raven, she is the next books story.

The anonymous, 1 star paragraph is complete and utterly FALSE!! This book is nothing like what they reviewed. I'm wondering if that person actually read this book (Broken Luna), or if they are just a troll. Apparently, this type of genre isn't for you. Perhaps a self-help book would be better suited to you.
1. The insta-love you so despise, is what makes this book a werewolf story. 2. The mythology is just a different take on the same werewolf story. 3. The dialogue is comparable to the monologue. 4. Why would you seek out stories about trama, and then shoot it down because the FMC didn't react strongly enough to suit you? 5. The so called "weak" FMC managed to not only survive a rejection, but managed to escape that abusive pack, find her way to a new pack, by herself, while snowing, facing a possible rogue attack! What part of that character is weak?
Because of this person's bad review I didn't read this book to start, which was stupid on my part. I started with the 2nd trilogy, and then decided to go back and read this book because I simply couldn't justify the so-called bad rating with the other books I've read from this author. Still kicking myself over that decision. Yes, this is her first book (that I'm aware of), but it just gets better and better.
I could go on and on, but I don't want to spoil it for others that should ABSOLUTELY read this book. It's the start of 2 separate trilogies (if not more).
