In the sixteenth installment in the bestselling JET series, Jet finds herself betrayed by those she trusted the most, with disastrous consequences for her loved ones...and herself. When a shadowy figure from Matt's past surfaces as possible savior, she must decide whether to bet it all on a total stranger, or lose everything she's fought to hold onto.
It's funny how Jet and Matt just want to live their lives, but people from their past won't let them and often try to blackmail them into helping. They all find out that that isn't the way to endear these two dangerous people to them. In fact all it does is piss them off and make them fight hard to get free. I hated how Matt and Jet were separated, but glad that they had ways of contacting each other just so they know they are live. I felt like Jet had the harder time as she had Hanna with her this time and for the most part Hanna does a great job of not freaking out and being good, she did give Jet a good scare. I hope that in the aftermath of this book people give Jet and Matt a break.
Mossad promised protection for her daughter and Matt in Israel. A bargain not kept. Apparently, the directors aide a colonel has her own agenda. Willing to play both sides of the coin to benefit Israel as she sees it. The director is unaware. A wealthy Russian oligarch wants Her dead. His ego has been bruised by Jet. He is willing to accomplish this by any means possible. Money is not an issue. Nonstop action, typical Russell Blake! Another excellent read in this series!!
But aren’t they all? One difficult situation after another. Having a child really complicates things. But Hannah is a trooper. I wonder if she’ll be like Jet when she grows up?
Mossad Agent Jet confronts her boss as to how she, Matt her partner, (and their daughter Hannah) were almost victims of street hoodlums in their supposed 'safe house, but gets non-committal answers that infuriate her into going rogue for a while, seeking answers.
What happens when she refuses to take on any further Mossad missions? Why is Matt in Jerusalem? Who brings Jet some bad news?
Betrayal and revenge come with a high price tag, in wounds both physical and emotional. Jet and Matt are torn apart by malign circumstances - he on another mission for a frenemy and she, (with Hannah to care for too), fights through an ambush and double cross from a former ally, acting under duress from another.
With danger and deceit on all sides, whom can Jet and Matt trust to keep the family surviving and being reunited in love and hope of a better future? Only Russell Blake knows all the answers and to find out, you'll have to get your copy of his great book, Jet: Flight (Book 16)... you're cleared for takeoff too...to the bookstore, that is!
I can't wait for the continuation of this book. I don't think the Director is as bad as the reader is being lead to believe, which is a part of the authors talent! I think Nabila will get her comeuppance, perhaps even by the Director himself, she shouldn't die a quick death, she should be exposed for who and what she is, she should lose all her ill gotten gains and have to hit the road herself complete with all the lousy hotels and the great unwashed! I think that Andrew is probably not so bad either, greedy, and so opportunistic that it sometimes blinds him to a normal moral code. I think he will try to make it up to the fleeing family perhaps by leaving all his ill gotten gains to little Hannah for her future. And, I do believe that Jet will get the insane Nikolyi and make his day a miserable one. Hell, everyone else is dead, but I'm sure there will be more blood and mayhem in the next book, I look forward to all of them, I thought that book 14 was the last one when the family settled in for supposedly a quiet way of life, so glad I was wrong!
At last Jet says "no" especially after the promise of protection is shown to be almost invisible but then we meet the Director's aide who seems to feel she can get Jet to do as they want on a wpman-to-woman basis....big mistake. Love that Jet dealt to her in her own home but not sure the message really got through but the message was clear her country will not protect her, Matt & Hannah so time to leave but that proves more than a challenge and puts each of them in danger and even little Hannah manages to get hurt [what a trooper that little girl is....mind rebel as a teenager comes to mind hahahaha!] but in the end, at last someone they know has a level of integrity in Andrew who is thankful and acts accordingly in being saved and thankfully Matt survives a crazy mission all for some rare coins which was supposed to be a debt to Andrew which nearlykilled him but Jety turns that around too. So, free from Isreal and hopefully with support with Andrew now all we have is the Russian who is so warped in his head that he needs a good slapping!
This one is true to its title, there is a lot of flight in it. The Director of Mossad tries again to get Jet to do another op, but she has had her fill of his you’re the only one. Then there’s the Russian who wants a dead Jet and tries to capture Matt to lure Jet into a death trap. He doesn’t realize Matt’s skills and this turns into one hairy tale. It was an enjoyable ride reading this book. Highly recommend it. 5
Another one that I loved. Poor little Hannah. She’s a very smart little trooper, strong, just like her Mama. And Matt, love how he still has his skills and was able to survive that double-cross. Ok, now I want to know if that traitorous Woman in the Mossad who betrayed not only Jet, her family and the Director, but also her country for money! When are they going to find out what she’s done, and the fact that she’s been betraying her country and people to the Russians?
If you have read the other 15, then you have a lot invested in Jet, Matt and Hannah and this book does not disappoint The usual double dealings from Jets adversaries and even her alleged protectors mean the family end up relying on themselves as always A few twists, no real big surprises, and the primary villain with a vendetta that makes no sense, makes for a fun and enjoyable read
Action packed adventure for Jet and her family. As much as I would love for Jet to live on a tropical island somewhere in peace with no one trying to kill her; that would be the end of the series and I definitely don't want that. Can't wait for #17 to see how Jet gets out of the mess she's currently in.
Another great read in this series. My only concern is the long time in between the release of new novels in this series. We find Ex mossad operative Jett, her daughter Hannah and her friend Matt in a run for their lives while a sinister plan hatches during this book. Great characters, cool story and lots of action, what else do we need👍
Standard Jet fare. Previous books Matt has been taking care of Hannah while Jet roams the earth, fulfilling missions. Matt finally gets back in the mix, leaving Hannah to basically take care of herself. 5 years old. By the time she's 6, she'll be capping bad guys.
Episode ends quickly leaving bad guys out there with loose ends, verifying we will get Volume 17.
Hannah asks about Matt and Jet tells her he’s tough… and Hannah says “Tough like Mama”. They are all tough and who could believe that they actually do the things they d9 but those of us who love them? They get into scraps that are impossible to get out of but they do! That’s what makes these stories so good so enjoy!
This is sixteen JET books I have read and each time I can hardly wait for more. When you start reading it hard to stop. I have read slot of different books but this is the best series. I also have 3 more JET books ready to start reading. I am sure you will love each of them.
Great story fast read waiting for next book keep up the series should write more novels to keep jet fans up to date as to where she is going To be living
When the Mossad fail to hold up their end of the bargain Jet and Matt take things into their own hands. Exciting and full of suspense and Jet must navigate with Hannah in tow.
Absolutely love the Jet series, want the next book already
Sad any and everything this author writes. If you enjoy being on the edge of your seat as your read. I always read his books in one sitting because I can't put it down until I have finished.
.very descriptive writing. High action and dramatic. Makes one look at world order quite differently. Page turning. I was looking for another after reading the last one. Highly addictive.
I love these exciting books by Russel Blake. One can learn so much about stagecraft and self-defense. Jet is a wonder woman, tough as nails but with a tender heart. Very interesting read.
Written with a command of the English language. An obvious personal knowledge of geological locations and climatological conditions. Fast paced with plausible situational scenarios. Always looking forward to next book.
This is another nonstop action filled novel that involves both Jet and Matt in the turmoil and even Hannah their daughter manages to hurt herself from jumping on a bed which adds to their difficulties.
They're on the run again, but unfortunately, this time it seems as though everyone is double crossing them. It's certainly going to be interesting from here. I would definitely recommend this book, series, and outstanding author.
Disappointed. Too over top to have credibility even for fiction. Tired of Matt. He seems to drag, Jet, the protagonist down and is dead weight! Time to write him out.
