Filthy Rich Billionaires #2

Filthy Rich Prince

He’s rich, ruthless, and royal. He will make her his wife…

Single mother Lily Morgan knows what it’s like to struggle. Not a day goes by that she doesn’t work hard to survive. But when she’s thrown in jail in a foreign country, she has no idea she’s about to come face to face with the prince who took her virginity and left her pregnant two years ago.

Nico Cavelli might’ve released Lily from his dungeon, but he’s not letting her go. She stole his son and heir, and he can’t forgive that. He’ll make her his princess – and he’ll make her pay for keeping his child a secret.

What he will never do is show her any mercy.

Or fall in love with her…

NOTE: This is a Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella romance with an alphahole hero who is transformed by love in the end. If you don’t like angsty reads with dramatic conflict, best keep scrolling! There will be some bad decisions. There will be bossiness. And there will be groveling by the end. You were warned.

*This book originally published by Harlequin as Cavelli’s Lost Heir. It has been revised and expanded with new scenes and characters. If you read the original and enjoyed it, you don’t need to purchase this one. But if you want an expanded story, then this is the book for you. And if you’ve never read it, then you definitely don’t want to miss it! Rich and royal, reunion, forced marriage, secret baby romance!

I love Lynn's military heroes and sinfully hot romantic suspense. But when I saw the blurb to this book, I'm pretty sure I may have salivated a little. It's a bit of a change of pace to what I'm used to from her, but no less satisfying. This was such a fun harlequin-y type of romance that hit the spot from beginning to finish.

Reeling from a devastating loss that's still fresh, Nico Cavelli is now the crown prince but with a reputation of a hellion. He's the tabloid's bad boy, always with a different woman and never with any complicated entanglements. But then a blast from his past ends up in his prison dungeon and with a surprise to boot.

Now I'm not usually a fan of the surprise baby trope. Especially if there's been some time that's passed without the father knowing. Usually this is because I simply don't buy the reason that the child was kept a secret and it drives me nuts and makes me resent the heroine. This was not the case here. I completely understood why Lily kept her son a secret. Lily is not usually the type of heroine that I gravitate towards, but she really grew on me here. She's a little innocent and a touch naive, but she's no less fierce.

Nico is a ruthless a-hole for the majority of the book and I was so here for it. I was especially here for his ultimate fall. And is there anything more satisfying than the bad boy falling for the good girl? I think not.

This was a fun little book with plenty of feels and a splash of angst. I did wish for a slightly bigger grovel, but you can't have it all. This was a guilty pleasure sort of read that you certainly need to suspend your disbelief for but will leave a smile on your face when you're done. I really enjoyed it.

ARC received from author

This is a reprint of an older novel with updates and new stuff (according to the author, I never read the original).

I didn't like Nico for most of the book. He was an arse. Lily didn't let him get away with much. Nico was right about one thing...everyone has their price. Once he gets his head out of his arse there is a beautiful apology and ending. I was expecting more from his former fiancee (maybe she'll get a book). I also wanted to see more of Rebecca and Alejandro (Filthy Rich Revenge) than a brief one line mention.

This book reminds me of the style of the Mills & Boons novels I used to devour. Not a bad storyline, but a typical one. Girl meets boy, falls in love, but destiny intervenes. Two years later, boy finds out girl fell pregnant and didn’t tell him. What the girl never knew was that the boy was a prince.

I don’t know how I feel about this book. On the one hand I enjoyed it, on the other hand I was frustrated reading this book.
I have to say I didn’t like Nico for the majority of this book. He was a total douche.

Lily and Nico met two years ago in New Orleans, the spent some time together but then Nico just disappeared, leaving Lilly with a little surprise. Two years later Lily ends up in jail in Montebianco after her boss asked her to do an assignment. And that’s how Nico finds her again and also that she’s been hiding his son from him. As an illegitimate child himself he hated finding out he had a son and didn’t know about him. So he changed his whole life and forced Lily to marry him so he can help raise his son. But in turn this angers the King who’s daughter he was suppose to marry.

For the most part of this book I didn’t like Nico. He was some parts rude, arrogant and a total douche. But you could understand the responsibilities that he had being a Prince, but also there was a better way to get Lily to stay and see his son. This was a short story which was romantic, lots of sexual chemistry and some angst mixed in.

Lily is a journalist and a single mother who finds herself in Montebianco however what was supposed to be a business trip takes a dire turn when she finds herself imprisoned through no fault of her own. The last person she expected to see was Nico who wasn’t only a Prince but her child’s father as well.

Nico shared a brief relationship with Lily a few years earlier until he left with no further contact. Finding out he was a father was a surprise he wasn’t expecting especially as he is engaged to a Princess from a neighboring country. He is determined to claim his son and that means claiming Lily as his wife, let the complications begin!

Nico is trying to balance the needs of his country against the needs of the family he didn’t know about while Lily has her own adjustments to make as being a Princess was never part of her plan. The passion between them was undeniable but they had a few challenges to overcome when it came to everything else in their lives.

The story of two people, finding their way back together after one fleeting but deep connection that was severed, Filthy Rich Prince, is another masterpiece by Harris. While some readers might not enjoy it as much, because certainly anti-hero stories are not for everyone, this one is beautifully written, filled with passion and the power of redemption. I loved every moment of getting to know Lily and seeing her spread her wings, even under the oppressive new life she was forced to step into. She is certainly the strong, sweet, and loving woman that every anti-hero needs in order to find his own personal goodness and path to become a hero. Nico, while an asshole in the beginning, begins to find his inner light and actually allow himself to show it to Lily and the readers so that we could connect with him. I enjoyed seeing him deal with someone finally challenging him and his conceptions of his power, forcing him to understand what his power would never extend to controlling everything and everyone. In the end, their blazing passion and the sweet love they shared as youths was what allowed them to grow into their new relationship and find a way back into one another’s arms and build a future for their family. I am seriously looking forward to the next story in this series and hope that she continues to write the stories, because who doesn’t love a good billionaire anti-hero getting his life rearranged by a strong and determined woman not willing to take shit from him. Great work Lynn!

*First time reading author

For my first time reading Lynn Harris this wasn't a bad read. Filthy Rich Prince is a contemporary read that brings you to a different land with a self-righteous prince that thinks he owns everything including the woman he used to enjoy.

When Lily ends up in Nico's dungeon on trump up charges he finds out that she gave birth to his son. Well, that just cannot happen. He must have her and his son back with him. So Nico decides to uproot Lily's life and his sons to get them to live with him in his kingdom. Again Lily will not have any say in this. And so the love story begins.

Although I didn't find anything wrong with this story, it didn't surprise me with anything, but it also didn't wow me with anything either. However, if I am looking for a decent story to read I will read a Lynn Raye Harris story.

This book was originally published by Harlequin as Cavelli’s Lost Heir and is now revised and expanded. It might be easiest to say neither handled any situation very well. Lily and Nico both run hot or cold to the extreme. There’s a lot of drama and a whole lot of angst. All of that makes their HEA satisfying. I’m very curious about the twice “jilted” bride, Antonella.

I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review.

This is the Romance of Prince Nico Cavelli of Montebianco and Lily Morgan
Nico and Lily spent time together. She did not know who he really was. Had no idea he was a prince. After that magical time, he left and went back to his country. She found out she was pregnant, and had the baby.
Two years after their first meeting is where this story begins
Lily Morgan is a single mother, struggling to support her 18-month-old son, while working for a newspaper
She doesn't want the assignment in Montebianco, but her boss insists she go as nobody else is available. She leaves Danny with her best friend and goes. After buying a trinket at a stand in the market, she is arrested and thrown in jail.
Nico Cavelli is a prince, next in line for the throne. He's the younger, illegitimate son, and has always been a playboy with a zest for life. But after Nico’s brother died, he was now next in line and in line for a marriage to Princess Antonella to unite two kingdoms
Nico found out he was a father.
Then their life changed, he cancelled the arranged engagement.
Nico offers Lily a deal - the charges will be dropped and she will go free, but she must marry him so that he can raise his son the way a prince should be raised.
Suddenly she had to learning how to be a princess.
He misses his brother. He's angry that he had a son he didn't know about. He has to deal with his father and the other king, and fix the damage that his broken engagement has caused to the relationship between the two countries
It was sad to experience how Nico had to learn how to be a dad to Danny, the way they dealt with their emotions was so tender and sweet.
A must read, but be prepared, you will not be able to put this book down till the last page.
Superbly written, thoroughly enjoyed, highly recommended, thank you Lynn

To be completely honest, there are parts of this story that I've really enjoyed and there are parts that were frustrating. We have two main characters, each with their own responsibilities. There is an interesting contrast that I will detail in the following lines, we have communication issues, but as well some scenes that were forced here and there.

In his desire to escape his royal life, Nico has an affair with Lily. Even if their connection is intense and they both seem to want more, he never shows up to their second date. Time passes and Lily has a beautiful boy. She is determined to provide him with the life she did not have and her struggle is for the little boy only. When her job sends her to Monebianco for an assignment, things get complicated. Her encounter with Nico is nothing as it was with the guy who stole her heart months ago. He is now cold, arrogant, insufferable and an overall jerk.

I loved how Lily and Nico were dedicated to their duties. She has one life to care for, while Nico has an entire kingdom. Their past is their motivation, but at some point, the child and the kingdom will be in conflict. Nico is more affected by all this, but he's not willing to give up his child. Political intrigue, family conflict and a marriage that needs to be set on the right course – these are just some of the elements that can be found in Filthy Rich Prince.

However, I feel that some of the scenes were not very consistent in the overall book. For example Nico's political choice of a bride was unstable. His connections or "secret services" seem to be extremely efficient, but when actually needed, they don't work properly. I can't get into details unfortunately. Lily at some point becomes a bit spoiled. Even if in the beginning she is more than content to lead a simple life, she adjusts well to the royal privileges.

To conclude, I think it was an ok book. It was entertaining, until the conflict becomes too much. I wanted to be blown away but.... I was not. I did not dislike it, but it does not stand out.

Going to a country for work and placed in jail for something she didn't know she did and being released to a ex lover who found out you had his baby was the last thing Lily expected. Nico tried to blackmailed Lily to force her and their son to move to his country. When Lily refused, he used money and his countries power to bring their son without her knowing.
He played with her feelings as payback for not telling him about his son. Can we say childish.
Nico gave Lily a chance to give her back the freedom she wanted with stipulations that were more than reasonable. As the saying goes, "time heals all womb".
This was your fairytale story, but I like fairytales sometimes just to relax.

Lily meets Nico in New Orleans where they spend a few days together before he vanishes. When she finds herself pregnant and looks into him, she learns he is a playboy prince from a small Mediterranean country. She determines to stay single and raise her son alone. Then work intervenes and she is sent to his country to finish an article for the paper. Hijinks ensues. I liked these two, but the waffling was eh. I wasn’t expecting the arrest by the other King though. And the resolution was pretty awesome.

Nico and Liliana

When Lily is arrested for being accused of stealing antiquities, she is thrown in jail. Prince Nico is shocked when he is given an envelope that has a picture of Liliana, but she is holding a little boy who looks like him. When Lily admits the little boy, Danny, is Nick's child, Nick takes Lily to Paris for her to find clothes and whatever else a Princess needs. Nico makes sure they are married before they leave. This is a great story of how Lily is thrust into wealth and privilege but she's afraid Nico doesn't love her.

This is book 2 in the Filthy Rich Billionaires

This is an amazing read from Lynn. I believe that it was published under a different name before

Nico has 3 things about him which Lily never could have expected when they first met. Nico's totally rich, extremely ruthless, and most of all he's royal. In-fact he's the Crown Prince Nico is so determined to make Lily his wife and Crown Princess........

Lily

My name is Lily Morgan and a single mum to a beautiful baby boy. I know what it's like to live with little money and it's hard struggle juggling a baby and a job just to make ends meet. It's a hard life being a single mom but i work as hard as i can to make ends meet, I have to for my baby boy, it's a struggle to survive but i am strong enough i hope at least to do it well.
Then all of a sudden my life changes for what could be the worst of best part of my life that is what i have to decide.
My life suddenly changed when i was thrown into a dungeon in Montebianco accused of stealing items of importance to the country. Lily never expected to met the handsome Nico again after getting her pregnant two years ago the man who took her virginity and the only man she's ever loved. She tries to deny her feelings but ti's impossible to do so when he looks like a god.

Crown Prince Nico

My name is Nico Cavelli I'm the Crown Prince of Montebianco. I may have made a huge mistake by releasing one of the most beautiful women in my life which was Lily Morgan. I had a one night stand two years ago with her but what's made me furious is that she's hidden my son from me. Now i have to have them both in my life and that means marrying her so my son grows up knowing his birthright. Lily may have hid my son from my life for two years but i will never forgive her for that but i can't let her go. She's the only woman i've truly loved, she may try and deny the chemistry between us but i do i can make her change her mind. She will be my Princess Consort and will have her and our son here in Montebianco. I won't stop at anything to have them in my life, i've lost so much time with my son's short life that i refuse to loose anymore of it. Lily may not agree with me but i know i can get her to change her mind and give her everything she deserves and more.
What he will never do is show her any mercy.

This book is amazing i love it and would recommend it.

Filthy Rich Prince

Let me start by saying that I am a HUGE fan of Lynn Raye Harris's HOT series and it's spin off series. I was excited to see that she was giving us something new, or well new to me. That being said I had a hard time getting into this one at first. I can't tell you how many times I picked it up and put it down. Mostly because Prince Nico made me angry lol. It took until around chapter 5 or 6 to really grab a hold of me and then I couldn't put it down...even when Nico was behaving like a jerkface. My heart really started to open to him when he was getting to know Daniel and opened up to Lily about his brother. Ohh and holy freaking smokes the sexy times are🔥🔥🔥🔥!!! OMG holy plot twist and major groveling!!! In the end Nico proves himself to be a true Alpha prince more than worthy of my ❤......err. I mean Lily's ❤ The only thing about this story that let me down was the fact that it ended!! A very Happily Ever After

Sorry guys this one is NOT what I consider to be "safe". It is a second chance at love/secret baby romance. While there's no cheating or any real om/ow drama, There is drama brought on from his family and that of a neighboring country. She was not with anyone while they were a part but he was. There is no physical abuse. Fingers crossed that Princess Antonella gets her own Happily Ever After.

Rich Filthy Prince is a standalone book, but there are certainly familiar characters if you've read some books in the Lynn Raye Harris Filthy Billionaire world. Nico's the second son of a ruling nation Montebianco, who's getting ready to marry a princess from a neighboring kingdom to mutually strengthen their economy. When he gets a call about an American woman who may be stealing precious artifacts from his country, he discovers that she is more than just a possible thief. Lily's had Nico's son and kept him from his father for 2 years, but with this new revelation, Nico is demanding his rights and wants to make sure his son grows up in a loving home, which he's never had.

Nico's cold exterior towards Lily is understandable considering she kept his son from him, but Nico is also as much to blame. He kept his real identity hidden from her, and he did suffer through a trauma right after meeting Lily. With all that, I think he could have been a bit more understanding of her situation and her shock at finding out his real background. Instead of working through their misunderstanding, when Nico sees Lily again, all he sees is her betrayal and he undermines her authority as a mother to punish her. I admire Lily's independence and her role as a caring mother, and that she wants to take care of her child herself. The transition to being a princess of a country is hard, and Nico hasn't been as supportive as he can be. Her struggle to be happy but to also adapt to her new world isn't really resolved in the end, I think. This was better than an average book, but wasn't as memorable for me.

I had missed this book from Lynn Raye Harris upon its original release, and am really glad she has reissued the books in the Filthy Rich Billionaires series. I was pulled in from page 1 of Lily and Nico's story in Filthy Rich Prince.

I'm a big fan of a reunion romance, and when you add in a super sexy prince, it is like catnip for me. I loved Lily from the very first page. She is strong and hardworking and will absolutely do anything to protect her son. Nico took me a bit longer to love. He truly was an alphahole upon meeting Lily again. Seriously I felt like he needed to grovel a great deal when we first met him. I understood him being angry Lily didn't contact him when she discovered she was pregnant, but thought it was a little ridiculous he thought it would have been easy for her to do so.

The chemistry between Nico and Lily was so hot! I loved the time they were able to spend together at Nico's home, and seeing Nico, Lily, and Danny together as a family, as it added a sweetness to their story. Did both Nico and Lily make mistakes along the way? Absolutely, and yet once they finally shared their feelings and let past mistakes go, I couldn't keep the smile off my face as I read their happily ever after.

Filthy Rich Price was a really fast paced romance, and actually a fast read for me. I have to say that any book that grabs me as quickly as this one did in normal times is a winner. Add in the crazy quarantine times, and it's an even bigger winner. I've enjoyed both book in the Filthy Rich Billionaire series so far from Lynn Raye Harris. While the stories are much different from her HOT series of books, they have been every bit as enjoyable.

Filthy Rich Prince definitely brought on some emotion (mostly rage), but I couldn't put it down for anything. That's not really a surprise since I LOVE LOVE LOVE this author's work but Nico definitely got on my very last nerve. He wasn't playing his royalty role when he met Lily, and they spent a HOT night together, however, when she woke up, he was gone, but he left something behind. Lily is a single mother who is doing her very best to take care of her son, and when she's left with no choice but to head to another country for her paper, she had to do it. It lands her in a dungeon, and when Nico learns she's there, he goes to see her. Oh, and he's the Crown Prince these days, and a horrible man. Of course he's incensed that she hid his child from him, but I totally backed her reasoning to be honest. Now she's being forced to marry him (she doesn't want his life whatsoever) or the fight will be on about their son. This story was addictive despite my feelings on Nico, and I truly wish he had to grovel a bit more, but I'm a hard a**. I didn't see how it would all end up coming and you won't either so you know what to do to find out! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Filthy Rich Prince...

A Filthy Rich Billionaires book 2. Ok I hate/love this book. It had Nico , who we briefly met in a previous book. So seriously beginning to end with hella angsty drama. A bit of WTF twists and turns. But what made me aggy was Lily's continuous childish behavior.Yes ish happens and she was caught up in a worldwide of craziness but the behavior again and again made this book difficult to read. Absolutely love the author but the book not so much.

Nico and Lily are from entirely different backgrounds plus they have both been through so much drama that it’s no wonder their relationship is intensely challenging.

Nico is shocked and extremely upset to learn he has a son he didn’t know anything about and that Lily is in jail in his country.

Lily is upset when Nico appears outside her jail cell and appears not to recognize her from their time together two years prior. She had been wrongly arrested for having stolen antiquities which is how Nico becomes aware she is in his country and is the mother of his child. She is left to deal with his anger over her not contacting him to tell him of their child.

The dual POV allows the reader to better understand the emotions of each main character and to see how each of them are fighting and reacting out of fear and heightened emotions. They have passionate encounters and missteps in trying to make their relationship work. The relationship issues are also complicated by intrigue and the actions of other people.

This is a book that keeps the reader fully engaged and filled with anticipation for what may happen next. This is a book full of drama, emotions, intrigue and angst. Nico is so much more than his tabloid persona and Lily is stronger and more stubborn than her prince expects.

I received an ARC from the author and I am voluntarily leaving a review.

Nico, Lily & Danny reunite for love

Nico is well portrayed as a man who won the heart of Lily, two years ago and disappeared. Lily has to finish a travel guide for her small town newspaper and has to go to a European nation to complete it.
She purchases a couple pieces of statues from a street vendor and is arrested for stealing museum treasures. The details is brought to the Crown Prince who interviews her and confirming she is the woman he left two years ago. Nico is revealed.
The book is well written as usual and one is drawn to the characters as the story continues. Loved the story, the anguish, romance and the ending. Highly recommended book.

An illegitimate child himself (recently elevated to Crown Prince status following the death of his older brother) Nick forces marriage on Lily. The pair go through trials and high angst on their way to happiness and they have to learn forgiveness.

Filthy Rich Prince is book #2 in the Filthy Rich Billionaires series by Lynn Raye Harris.
It can be read as standalone.

Lily Morgan is a single mother, who thought she would never see the father of her child again. When Lily is imprisoned in a foreign country, only Nico Cavelli - the father of her child and a real prince - can bring her back to her baby.

I really enjoyed their journey to being a family - they had a very rough start and had to learn to be together, to live in the line of duty, without loosing their personality. The book kept me on the edge of my seat - the story so captivating, I could hardly put it down. Nico had just a touch of HOTness - Hotties will know to which scene in the book I'm referring ;)

I was provided with an ARC by the author.
