Why Mary Summer Rain wrote and published Soul Sounds "I wanted to have a personal record to review when I became very old and too forgetful of mind to remember. . .I've been advised by reasons spoken and unspoken, to have this very private diary published. This idea was not sanctioned by me until the last possible moment, because I'd thought no one else was going to be reading my words, and I'd written as honestly and outspokenly as I could throughout the journal pages. I'd recorded my personal thoughts, memories, and even confessions. In essence, this journal does indeed turn me inside out, with respect to revealing my true thoughts and inner self to the public. But, as always, I abide by how I am guided; whether I will end up being chastised, ridiculed, embarrassed, or exposed because of the publication of this book is not important anymore."
Mary Summer Rain is a naturalist philosopher and prolific author whose lyrical writing and deep insight have inspired generations. Best known for her works on nature, dream symbolism, feminine spirituality, and prophecy, she brings clarity to complex subjects. Her novel Ruby was a finalist for the New Age Retailers 2005 Narcissus Award, and she appeared on NBC’s Ancient Prophecies. Mary lives in the Rocky Mountains, sharing a woodland cabin with rescue dogs and a crow named Merlin.
What I love the most about this book is it is nonfiction. Mary Summer Rain is recounting her life events from her uniquely profound perception. One thing I'm sure of is Earth is obviously filled with deceptions & people prefer to be ignorant to that awareness in order to retreat into what is "comfortable" even though it's a lie. If you are too "normal", do not prefer to question things, or are not in touch with (or open to) your spiritual truths, this book is too advanced for you. And it is especially too voluminous being 457 meaty pages. This fact however, is not unappealing because her writing is so wonderful, it will have you growing up with her. My sister and I have experienced much of what Mary does and can inform you the introduction is especially truthful. This book was gifted to me by my best friend. What drew me in immediately was this incredible intro Mary detailed.
Even though it took me an entire day simply to read 100 of these pages, I was glued and could not sleep. I did not worry about instagram once! Quite the achievement. This may be a long read with frequent breaks, but it's worth it! You are experiencing Mary Summer Rain's eccentric lifetime(s) thanks to her clairvoyance. You are receiving the message of her life mission sacrifice and therefore God's message and truth. If you are ready & advanced enough to receive it. Feel it. Live it.... Open your mind, or don't. Either way, it's a fantastic novel written by an incredible soul.
(I do have to add that the ending of the book can drag on & become redundant, but what would you expect from the journal of an author? Still loved it)
In this book one sees the author as an every-day person, not a visionary or one with higher wisdom & understanding of the universe (which she is, by the way). Great insight into Mary's daily life. A diary of her daily experiences.
If you're a lover for deep messages, this is the story for you. You see, I'm a type of person that loves nature, enjoy the small things as sunsets, rain, spirital message to keep people feel beauty and alive. This book has made me realizes so much and I'm more than glad to finally finish this book. This book was a personal diary of the author. I loved how detailed it was. This book has made me wiser and powerful. Mary summer rain is such a lovely soul.
