Unwrapping His Package

Rate this book
Indie: I trust my gut, the universe, and the healing power of sugar. I’ll admit I had my doubts in all three of those things when my sister wanted to move all the way here to Christmas, Michigan in the dead of winter. I’ve been scrambling to be the supportive sister after her messy divorce, but I’m exhausted. Just when I think I’m at my breaking point, I sense something. The universe is telling me it’ll all work out. I know my gut instinct is right when I see him. I instantly want to know everything about the tall, broad shouldered, blue-eyed man staring at me. I want to unwrap him layer by layer. All of him. Every single inch.

Walker: As a doctor, I trust my mind, science, and empirical evidence. Until I see her. The short, curvy minx stares right at me, her teal eyes gliding down my body. My chest tightens and I can’t catch my breath. I run through a list of symptoms and possible diagnoses, but nothing quite matches what I’m feeling. My condition only worsens the longer I look at her, yet I can’t bring myself to do anything else. Love at first sight isn’t possible, but one look at my pixie and I know she’s about to prove me wrong.

I love Cameron Hart! This is just my second book by her, and I've really come to love her stories. Walker was such a great and different hero; I loved how he was unsure and socially awkward in the beginning. On the other hand, I found myself frustrated with Indie and her forgetfulness. She came off as immature, but I'm happy that Walker found her adorable. Their chemistry was so spicy, and I ultimately loved their story ♡

I love Xmas novellas the steamy moments and fun times. This is part of a author series so its a short novella!!!

Walker is a serious alpha work work work thats all he does in Christmas town.  Yes thats the name of this town. And I wanna visit a place like this. ❤🥰

He knows everyone or so he thinks when he sees Indie and her nephew at the jack frost event there's already some spark between them and he wants to get to know her more. And Indie shes a universe Pixie shes all about vibes and good karma the opposite of Walker. And he finds out how she is when he sees her again and this time he is alittle frustrated since she has no winter gear on and his pixie might freeze to death. They do get into alittle argument when she does forget about her coat, phone and other things. But that doesnt stop Walker from wanting his Pixie.

No ow/om drama, no cheating, tiny drama, slight secondary character, sexy times, virgin gal and no manwhore

There's a couple of things that caused me to put this one down. The first was characters disappearing from locations they were just in as well as appearing in places they were not. The author seems to have forgotten to let the reader know at times when characters were leaving an area, or how they came to be in new ones. It was distracting, causing me to have reread passages multiple time to figure out if I missed something.

The other thing was that I found the heroine to be almost insufferable. She's not only naïve, which is fine, life experience can help with that, but she's also really flighty, short-sighted, and convinced that the "universe will provide". I can appreciate a quirky heroine, but this was not that. It was like she had no sense of self-preservation whatsoever. Maybe she improves by the end, but I'm not invested enough in this story to find out. However, I might try this one again next holiday season.

Review : I loved this one this is about walker and Indie . Indie just moved to Christmas with her sister and nephew who all have been through a lot. Indie meets walker instantly they have a connection and walker wants to take care of Indie. After a bad car crash walker finds Indie and takes her to get warm and then they hook up more than once .Walker proposes to Indie and she says yes . Five years later they have two kids so cute I loved their relationship and cute moments.
Quotes:

I thought that this was an awesome book. Walker and Indie are complete opposites but they complete each other. This was a fantastic insta-love book with a little bit of drama but Walker will do anything to keep Indie safe and by his side. I loved how free and open Indie was and how she was able to get Walker to open his mind about things that she truly believed in. I would highly recommend this book and Cameron Hart as a excellent author!

Love, love, LOOOVED this one!

I can’t even put my finger on why I loved it so freakin much! Maybe it was the hero. He was starchy and rigid and maybe a little autistic-ish, very facts and figures focused—and then he sees indie and his heart is doing all sorts of weird things. He was so alpha and possessive and growly, but sweet and shy too and it’s such a deadly combination! He was absolutely perfect for India, who needed a strong stable influence to balance her quirky, flighty and forgetful habits.

And he needed her to unstarch him just a bit. Their opposite natures complemented the other.

The scorching sex scenes didn’t hurt!

Heroes past isn’t mentioned, except to say he’s been celibate for years and was never able to connect in the daring scene. Virgin h. No ow/om drama, no abuse or cheating of any kind. HEA with epilogue 5 years out.

A sweet and romantic story about love at first sight and how opposites can attract each other. Walker and Indie couldn't be more different. Walker the rational mind and Indie the free spirit. But nothing could stop Walker from getting his woman. This guy was sweet and hot... every woman needs a man like that👍👍👍 A story without drama and totally safe😉

Wonderful!! This was a nice quick, short read. I absolutely love it.

Walker and Indie met after she moved to Christmas, MI with her sister Melissa. Walker and Indie see each other at the tree lighting, he watches her walk towards him, she feels a pull to him. Indie has her nephew on her hip and Walker knows he's not her baby. A few days later Indie is in town looking for a job when Walker finds her. She isn't wearing a coat and has not boots. When Indie and her sister moved to the snow they only had enough money to buy Melissa's son the necessities. When Walker finds her he puts his coat on her, then his hand and gloves. Indie tells Walker she doesn't have the money to buy those things and is looking for a job. A woman comes along and finds them talking when she finds out Indie is looking for a job she takes her to the diner, for breakfast and so that she can get a job. Indie ends up going to Walkers medical office when she's done so that he can take her to lunch. When Walker takes Indie home he finds out she forgot her phone and doesn't have a key to get into her home she shares with her sister. Indie climbs in through a window and Walker leaves once she's inside. When Indie wakes the next morning she finds her sister looking at some presents that were left. They all have new coats, gloves, hats and boots but Indie finds a special present for her a necklace. Indie's sister wants to know who gifted them all the warm weather items and she fills her in on who Walker is. After Indie takes her nephew to daycare she gets ready to go find a Christmas tree for them. When she leaves her home she forgets her coat and cell phone. Indie gets into an accident before she realizes what she forgot. She starts walking, Walker gets a bad feeling and goes in search of her. Walker is headed in the direction that Indie should be coming when he finds her walking along the road. He pulls over and starts yelling at her, but she is freezing to death, so he takes her to his home to warm her up. When he gets her warm he questions why she was without her coat and cell phone. Indie breaks down and starts to cry, she tells him she's sorry she just forgot. Indie tells Walker what a mess she is and how she know she needs to be an adult. Walker lets her know he wants to be there for her so she doesn't forget those things. Walker suggest Indie get in the shower to wash the day away and she tells him only if he gets in with her. They get in the shower and he pleasures her. Walker confesses to her that he loves her and Indie tells him she loves him. Walker wakes Indie up the next day and they spend the day together pleasuring one another. The next day is Christmas Eve and Walker takes her to the tree lighting, after he feeds her breakfast. They met Indie's sister Melissa and nephew, then watch as the tree is lite. On Christmas Day they stop by Walker's doctors office and he brings out Christmas presents. Indie tells him they promised not to get each other things and he tells her they're for her sister and nephew. They head to Indie's sister home where he hands out presents mostly for Melissa's son. When the last present is given Walker holds one more in his hand. Walker drops to one knee and asks Indie to marry him, she tells him yes even before he gets it all out. Five years later, they head to the tree lighting with their two kids, Atticus, who they had less than a year after they were married and their daughter, Hope who came along a year after that. Indie no longer works at the diner in town, she wanted to contribute but Walker told her she didn't need to.
Walker's life is full his heart is light, his soul is overwhelmed with the knowledge that they were brought together by the universe.

Really loved this story!

I liked that it was very "balanced" in writing and characters style. The synopsis said it well, ' opposites attract ' in the two mc', but the story took their traits and blended them give The sweetly , the couple could be the yin&yang symbol personified... I enjoyed that about the story, Indie and walker didn't charge themselves in a way that muddled them together, becoming more similar, but rather accepted that both their ways were truths coexisting making them perfect for one another. ( that was written well, I read too many stories with the mc's changing in the way were they adopt the others traits to become a happy couple, this was different and refreshing as well , ironically, feeling more realistic some how...)
I'm sure this isn't my first time reading this author as she's in this series with authors I know I've consumed much of each, but I sure am going to go and binge her catalog now cause it was great. Lovable characters, great pace and length, sweet, with a the right spiciness added( a sexier kind rather than the 'fluffier' written sex scenes these books usually have ; being the in the light end of the adult romance genre spectrum)... So yes definitely enjoyed thoroughly, and highly recommend for ppl who why this niche in the genre!

This was a great Christmas short story. It was a touch longer than some of Hart’s other stories, and the hero was a bit more analytical and less instalove-driven than her other heroes. I actually liked this about Walker though—it was lovely to watch how his feelings for Indie softened him and opened him up to his more emotional side. And Indie was a joy as well. While I probably would’ve found her a little too flighty and unconventional in real life, her quirks were adorable and added to the humor of the story.

There wasn’t anything I truly disliked about the book. Hart is consistently a great writer. I didn’t rate the story five stars because I would’ve preferred a faster pace, and the plot was reminiscent of a Hallmark movie to me (which I know will be a plus to some—I just personally don’t get much out of Hallmark). Overall, I still enjoyed this book and will absolutely continue to read Hart's amazing work.

I recommend this short story to anyone looking for a Christmas-themed romance with quirky main characters.

Cameron Hart's Unwrapping His Package, part of the multi-author Santa's Coming series, is an absolutely cannot miss sweet and steamy Christmas instalove romance. The hero and heroine are two of the most engaging characters with chemistry in spades! Walker is a staid, reserved doctor in small-town Christmas, Michigan, attending one of the annual lead-up-to-Christmas events at the ice skating rink when he lays eye on Indie for the first time. He is instantly taken by her, and she him. But Indie is his complete opposite - a pixie, young and innocent, with a penchant for trusting the universe and forgetting the little details (like wearing a coat or taking her cell phone with her). Despite their differences, Indie brings out Walker's protective instincts, and before long, all he wants is to take care of the woman who reached in and stole his heart. Walker is every woman's dream book boyfriend, and it is impossible not to fall in love with Indie's free spirit. Run, don't walk, to grab your copy of this fantastic Christmas romance novella - I cannot recommend it enough.

This story was so amazing! Wonderful characters, well developed and very likable/lovable, opposites attract. Indie has moved to Christmas Michigan from Southern California. She moved with her sister and nephew to relocate to Christmas and help her sister with the move. Indie is all about vibes, good and bad, she is a free spirit, she believes. She is not prepared for the weather and hasn’t bought a coat, hat, or boots and gloves so she is rather cold, shivering and standing out looking for a job. She felt an attraction to Walker and crossed the room to talk to him. Walker was watching her, attracted to her and knew he had to find out about her. Walker has never been in love. Either has Indie. They both don’t know what they are dealing with. This story has all the parts that make a good story - heartwarming, caring, tenderness, love, a little spice, some passion and everlasting love. Love will make you a better person! This is the first time reading this story and I will be looking for more. Fantastic day brightener!

I bought the book on Amazon after seeing it was attached in a series with book one.
-Walker and Indigo are complete opposites. Walker is serious, responsible and generous. Indigo is all over the place with gut feelings and is immature for her age. She doesn't know what she wants in life and never did bother with a career or education.
-The story is cute and fast-pacing.
-My first LOL is when Walker thinks he's contagious with an unknown malady because Indie is reacting the same way as him. It's love at first sight.
-It's a good thing Walker took over Indie's life otherwise nothing would have been done. Or she would have frozen to death on Main street. Take your pick.
-Surprised: 1. Walker's warming up the extremities first. That's the most dangerous thing to do. Warm the body first. He's a doctor; he should know this. 2. He works dressed in jeans, not slacks or pants. 3. Unprotected.
-In the epilogue, there's a beautiful picture of a happy family, while everyone is touching everyone else.

First book I read of this author and I can’t wait to read more from her. I was reading to lull me to sleep but I kept fighting my drowsiness to finish this book. That’s how captivated I was.

Despite the oddity of the plot, there was a natural feeling of how the story unfolded and the chemistry between the characters. I love it when the dialogue makes me think how natural that reaction would be (of course, that is, if you ever find yourself in that unlikely situation, lol).

I also absolutely adore it when the couple’s strengths and weaknesses pair so well together. It makes me root for them all the more.
—-
“It’s telling me we’re opposites in a lot of ways.” Walker grunts, making me smile, and I squeeze his hand. “But it’s also telling me we’re the same in all the ways that matter.”
—-

I wish there were some more of the quirky character Walker exhibited at the beginning. He was so freakin’ hilarious and adorable!!!
—-
“Does she feel it, too? Is she breaking out into a cold sweat? Is her pulse pounding out of control? Oh God, am I contagious?”

I've only read this for one day and it feels like longer..... Indie is an extremely flighty, inexperienced young woman who has just moved to town with her sister and nephew. sees a guy from across the town square of some Christmas event. love at first sight for both, but did I mention she's flighty? and naive? she goes out to pick a Christmas tree alone with no jacket. no phone. no scarf. no gloves. ugh. this was AFTER her love interest has delivered to her and her sister all sorts of winter gear.

Idk I just have mixed feelings about this. she mixed to town with her sister but she was never there. the nephew disappeared too. but they were literally having naive amounts of sees. I feel like it was just 98% banging. ****I love sex in my books**** but I want everything else too.. I want her to be an awesome chick. maybe naive, but sassy & smart. I want great banter. I want great chemistry. I want great sex. and I love having great secondary characters. this was missing most of the things on my list unfortunately.

Unwrapping His Package - A Holiday Instalove Novella - Cameron Hart

Indigo Wright or Indie as she prefers has uprooted her life to move with her sister Melissa and Carson her baby nephew to start a new life in Christmas , Michigan. However, the free spirited Indie was not expecting to meet the deliciously handsome, alpha, wanting to take care of her forever, Dr Walker Evans. At 33 the good Doctor was beginning to think he may not find his own happily ever after but the moment he sets eyes on Indie he is completely smitten. I really enjoyed this insta love, bit of an age gap romance. It had all the holiday feels, the scorching heat I love about this author's work and characters that you cannot help but root for and fall in love with yourself along the way. This author is quickly becoming one of my favourites as her stories really are feel good, enjoyable, smoking hot insta love, Love stories. The author gets this right again and again and I cannot wait to read more of her work. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend. Happy Reading.

Walker and Indigo are definitely a unique couple. Indigo's laid back personality is a hindrence now that she needs to be an adult and help her sister. She didn't expect to meet such a straight laced guy who wanted to get to know her. Walker does seem a little cool and standoffish to everyone but that goes out the window with Indie. Things quickly evolve with a few hiccups along the way. The energy between these two was enthralling. I didn't want to put it down for a second. This is very much an opposites attract story and a very well done one at that. I loved Walker's immediate need to take care of her. It was sweet and loving from the start even if he wouldn't catorgize it as such. Indie is a very kind but laid back girl but her love for her sister and nephew made you like her instantly. Cameron Hart as always, does a phenomenal job and I love her stories so much! 5 stars for Indie and Walker!

Adam and Marie are the best of friends that have just never taken things to the next level. Something keeps holding them back but when a friendly game of pictionary turns into a competition, Marie ends up owing Adam a favor. What he asks for is Marie to pretend to be his girlfriend for his family's holiday goings on. Marie has never met Adam's family as he has kept that side of his life a secret. Adam decides this is his opportunity to finally let Marie know how he feels about her but will Adam's family run her off?

Another great read about one of the Meadows siblings from Misty Falls. Marie and Adam have been dancing around their feelings and now they must face them as they put on a show for his family. This is such a heartwarming story about finding and holding onto what is truly important during the holidays and all the days.

This was a sweet and steamy holiday Insta-love romance.

Indie Wright is idealistic, naive, innocent, not detail oriented and believes the universe will provide. She, her older sister and baby nephew recently moved from San Francisco to Christmas, Michigan. They are broke but trying their best.

Walker Evans is a local doctor who is serious, socially awkward, needs boundaries and is a black & white type of guy. He sees Indie across the skating rink and is gobsmacked. After finding out they cannot afford winter outerwear, he gifts the needed items to them. He rescues Indie from a car accident and takes her to his home where they have sexy times. She helps him become a warmer person while he takes care of her and grounds her.

Oh, the heat is HOT, and the physical chemistry is captivating so be careful you may just get burned all the heat coming off these pages. There were some "oh no" "oh wow" " what the what" moments and add in uncanny mishaps, and suspense the good kind that makes you keep turning the pages till last page has been turned. Two different personalities and the saying opposites actually to attract. Walker is a little standoffish and a little cold towards others. Indigo is laidback and overall friendly to everyone she meets believing that the everything happens for a reason and it will work out somehow. Walker who surprisingly is open, welcoming and protective to Indigo these two are made for each other and they both know it but sometimes things, events, people (drama) have to happen or be in the way for you to see who/what is right in front of you. Will these two find love in the craziness?

Indie is a free spirt and Walker is her complete opposite, they not only attract one another they are drawn to each other in a way neither can explain. It’s harder for Walker to understand since he is a doctor and relies heavily on science and facts. Indie has had to grow up recently and take on lots of responsibilities, her sister’s marriage imploded and she’s helping her and her nephew get used to living in a new state far from her native California. Walker was so sweet with her, once he decided that what he is feeling is love, he is all in. He wants Indie safe and happy and goes to great lengths to make that happen. Their sexy times are hot and steamy. He moves her in with him pretty fast followed by a Christmas proposal and a New Year’s wedding. Epilogue five years later with two kids.

Sometimes it’s ok to lean on someone else.

I loved this Christmas holiday romance story. It was entertaining and enjoyable as well as pretty steamy. The characters were easy to relate to and likable. Walker was interesting since he was so rigid in his thinking. His reaction to just seeing Indie (Indigo) was enough to almost short circuit him. Indie’s reaction to Walker was definitely in line with the way she lived her life. Indie was trying to do more for her sister Melissa and nephew Carson, but isn’t much of a planner which makes things difficult. Walker is pretty much opposite of Indie but that’s what makes them so amazing together. I loved their happy ever after. I recommend reading this book.

Opposites attract but they have more in common than may first appear

Unwrapping His Package by Cameron Hart is part of the multi-author Santa's Coming series. This is a sweet and sexy small town Christmas story about Dr. Walker Evans and Indigo. They are complete opposites as he is never turns off his medical brain and is all about her feelings and what her gut says, so not precise and focused like him. But yet they fit together as opposites attract and make for some explosive chemistry.
This story is well written which as some fun and flirty dialogue and a lovely story-line about family, love, passion and more. I enjoyed this book as I have not been disappointed by a Cameron Hart story yet.

Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟/5
Spice: 🌶🌶🌶/5

- age gap
- virgin h
- slight sunshine/grumpy vibes
tw/cw: unprotected sex, lil squirting action & a very dominant, growly H.

Indie moves to Christmas with her sister & meets Dr. Walker, they’re both immediately infatuated with each other despite them being completely different than one another…

To Walker everything has to have a reason, cause & effect & be logical.. indie on the other hand? She’s very esentric, believes that the universe will provide her next opportunity to her & she is all about positive vibes & energy.

Walker takes her under his wing, providing her with the care and comfort she never had before.. although they have a slight rough start, there’s no denying the chemistry they share.

Indie is a naive, positive-thinking girl of 22 years who tries to help her older sister and her 9-month-old nephew to an new life. The two women move with their entire household and a baby to a small town called Christmas and try to get back on their feet.
Walker is the local general MD. He only believes in science and medicine. But their both basic views are put to the test when they see each other for the first time and fall head over heels in love.
The story is told very quickly and you can immerse yourself in the emotional world of the two without any problems. A sweet story about very different people and how they find a deep love for each other.
