Not your typical Daddy. Not your typical boy.

Hudson Madden looks like the kind of guy you don’t want to piss off—he’s a walking wall of muscle, brightly tatted ink up both arms, and low grunts. But underneath it all, he’s a gentle giant. One who can’t find what he wants because of the assumptions people make:

He must be an alpha.
He must be a dominant Daddy.
He must be looking for a sweet, passive boy.

The truth is more complicated. Haunted by memories of a former lover, and interested in exploring types of sex that aren’t easily defined, Hudson is happy to harbour his innocent crush on the local weatherman.

Until said weatherman crush walks into Hudson’s gym and turns his life upside down.

Liam “I’m Always Right” Wright. It might be a cute catchphrase, but when it comes to love, Liam is always wrong.

Liam hasn’t got time for love. He’s got his sights set on the big time, becoming a prime time meteorologist on a major national TV station. He’ll do anything it takes to get the promotion, even if it means entering into a fake relationship to improve his chances.

A quick-fix, no-mess solution.

So why does it feel so right when Hudson looks at him, spends time with him, and gets to know him in a way that no one ever has?

Will Hudson be able to break down his walls and let Liam in? And when forced to choose between his career and love, will Liam be able to make the right choice?

I was so caught up in all of my own stuff that it had prevented me from seeing what was right in front of me. The best thing in the world. A person who would love and accept me unconditionally.

This book took me by absolute surprise, I haven’t read the first two books in this series (a fact that I will change very soon) but this one sounded up my alley so I went for it.

One second I was watching hockey and I picked it up to read a chapter or two during the break and the second after I was at 50% and unable to stop reading. I barely read books in one sitting anymore but there was no way I could put this one down, I was so into it, I just had to finish it.

If you ask me what I love the most in a book, I would say I love seeing two flawed men falling in love, in a very romantic way, with little or close to no angst, no miscommunication and a pretty slow story focused on romance. And if there is someone exploring their sexuality, then it makes it perfect to me. Those are my absolute favourite books. And this one hit all of those spots perfectly.

Side note, it did have my least favourite trope, the break up at 75%, but I am letting it slide in this case because it was unavoidable, you knew it was coming since the start and it wasn’t due to any miscommunication. And how they got back together was the sweetest thing and it was really believable and there was nothing over the top about it, so it really worked for me here.

A bit of a summary of the book: Hudson is a 40 years old gym owner who gave up looking for relationships because he doesn’t think he will find someone who wants what he wants. He has been crushing on the local weatherman for months, Liam. Liam is very career focused and all he wants is to get a big job in New York. And he thinks that getting a fake boyfriend will help with that, so him and Hudson start fake dating. And then all of the feelings appear.

I don’t even know how to explain my feelings about this book because everything about it was absolutely perfect to me. I just loved Hudson so much. He was such a gentle giant. He’s a big guy, with a shaved head and full of tattoos but he’s just the sweetest man ever. He was just so good, I loved him, very much. I also loved Liam, so much. He was so lost, he always thought that all he wanted was a career but then he meets Hudson and starts discovering himself and what he wants and it was such a beautiful thing to see. I loved seeing how he evolved as a character. And I just loved these two together, so fucking much. They were the perfect foil for each other and they just worked perfectly together.

Also, I just want to mention how much I loved the exploration of sex in this book. I loved how Hudson spent a lot of time exploring ways to have sex that wasn’t anal. Also, Liam never had sex before before because he wasn’t sure he would enjoy it and he wasn’t that interested in having sex. I loved how we got to see him starting to be sexually attracted to Hudson and how we got to see him exploring his sexuality for the first time. I loved how this book showed sexuality and how it explored it. It was absolutely perfect in my book.

I don’t have anything else to add, this book was just absolutely perfect for me at this moment of my life.

Side note, this was very very light on the daddy kink and I would loved to have more of it but I was loving the book so much that it didn’t bother me.

P.S: I really loved the author’s writting, it’s really really lovely.

I received an ARC of this book in exchange of my honest opinion

Hudson Madden looks like a big, burly tattooed power top, an Alpha, a Daddy who wants a submissive boy, If only they knew what Hudson really loves and yearns for. Hudson has built up walls to protect himself from hurt and criticism.

He’s the owner of a sports school and always looks at the weather news, not for the weather but more to ogle Liam……. with the delicious big butt.

Liam “I’m Always Right” Wright has one goal, to step up from bringing the weather in Daylesford to be the Wake Up America’s weatherman in New York. A fake date is what he needs to stay in the picture. After he meets Hudson who agrees to go on a fake date, a fake date turns into a fake boyfriend.

Hudson isn’t what he looks like, he’s soft, kind, and thoughtful.

Liam always thought there was something sexually wrong with him, when Hudson cautiously crumble his walls and starts to talk about how he loves to make love a whole new world of opportunities opens up. They have the most intense intimate experience and their bond is getting stronger and stronger, then there is a call, from New York.

What a great story! A different kind of Daddy with different ideas about how to connect physically. Both had a hard past with hurt and grieve, all delicately, mindfully and manageable woven into the story. The author did a great job with prejudices, acceptance, and appearances, there is so much more than the eyes can see. Also, the way the lovemaking was described was absolutely wonderfully done, very intense! Even though it took a while before they really got involved more intensely, every part of their journey was entertaining and enjoyable.

While the focus in this story was on their relationship, work, and hurt from the past, sassy friends and colleagues have also a meaningful part.

I love this series, this is my third read, I hope there will be more.

I've been struggling over what to rate this book, so I finally settled in at 3 stars.

I appreciate what this book was trying to do - give us characters that break through those stereotypical assumptions - that the big, muscly guy is the power top, and that the guy with the great ass is the bottom. I love that.

And I LOVE that Liam embraces his sexual interest in Hudson and it's great to see what I would identify as demisexual rep (although that's never outright said in the book and I REALLY wish it had been.)

However, it was like the author wanted Hudson to be EVERYTHING not stereotypical.

So while I really commend this book for taking those assumptions and kicking them out the window, I also really wish that Liam's sexual identity had been clearly named (just because I think it's very important to have a-spec identities at least stated because it can be the first time a reader has even seen the word mentioned) and I wish that maybe it flowed just a bit better for me.

A Joyfully Jay review.

Forecast is the third book in the 99 Daddies series, but it is fully enjoyable on its own. In previous books, we saw Hudson’s friends Sterling and Steel find boys of their own. I really enjoyed getting to know these characters and recognizing how different they were from the other couples in the series. Hudson is such a contraction of physical and cerebral, and his grief softens him further. Liam is young and a bit brash, but only professionally. He’s insecure about his peopleing skills, and he feels lost and left out in terms of sexual attraction and experience. He lets others tell him what he should do and how he should feel, but Hudson gives him the space to just be.

It’s a super happy ending with Liam and Hudson finally following their true dreams and making happy tantric love any, and every, time they so desire. Now, we’re only waiting for Porter, the sex addict Daddy, to find his forever boy.

I think this was my favorite in the series. Hudson was always a bit of enigma with hints being thrown in here and there that there was something about him that was different. And I finally found out what it was. It was a good kind of different. Hudson is a gentle giant and a caregiver by nature. I loved him simply because he refused to be put in a box and found himself and what was right for him. He didn't conform. Liam was a big surprise. He was so much more than what he presented to the world. His shy demeanor was so sweet. He was charming and a bit of know it all but in a good endearing way.

Both men meshed together so well in terms of chemistry and what they wanted to be and do with their lives. Fake relationship trope is not my favorite but the author made me see past that to each man and how they were dealing with their developing feelings. The situations and issues were so realistic and detailed that I felt I could relate. The book was so enjoyable. Steam heat was about 2 out of 5, but it was the intimacy and gentle manner of their encounters that melted my heart. *sigh* Daddy/Boy dynamic was present in the background but it was more subtle than in previous books. Both characters eschewed labels and it made it so much better for them in the end. The book certainly left me thinking. Copy received for my honest and unbiased review

I can't say this is a favorite of mine in the series. Despite both Hudson and Liam being decent characters with good personal journeys, I just didn't catch the spark between them, and the fake-dating felt a little forced and rushed.

I did enjoy the fresh sexual dynamic between them, one we don't see a lot in M/M romance. It may be because the author is male and has a more grounded approach to real men who have sex with men, but it's refreshing to see gay characters have passionate, fulfilling, and even kinky sex that doesn't involve penetration. It takes away an inherent power structure within gay sex that a lot of younger readers and writers have come to accept as fact, though in real relationships, it is more nuanced and fluid. Hey, as a lesbian myself, I hate the idea that penetration equals sex. Sex is so much more than that, and it is written beautifully in this story.

I guess I just didn't click with these characters like I hoped I would. There's good stuff to be had here, just not for me.

This book was provided by the author via IndiGo Marketing & Design in exchange for an honest review.

This is the third book in a series and can be read as a standalone. However, previous characters and events are mentioned so if you do not like to have spoilers, it would be best to read them in order.

Hudson is a 40 year old gym owner who is going through some tough times. He’s recently had to close two of his gyms and he hasn’t had a relationship for a while. The best part of his day is to watch the local weatherman, Liam, on the TV. Liam is looking out for his next big break. He wants to be on top of the meteorology world - a prime time spot on a national show. With the help of his publicist, he has changed so much in order to achieve his goals. He doesn’t have time for relationships until he needs one to show stability.

I’ll be honest. There is so much I like about this plot line - the age gap romance and the fake relationship, mostly. I loved how Hudson was this bald, muscled guy with a bunch of tattoos but was really just a big teddy bear. However, I think this story just wasn’t for me. I had a harder time getting invested in this book than the first in the series, which I coincidently just read recently. That’s not to say that I didn’t like this story - there is genuinely a connection between the two MCs and the relationship develops organically (other than the whole fake boyfriend thing.)

Favorite in the Series!

This was definitely my favorite in the series so far, I could not stop reading until I was finished with Hudson and Liam's journey...and what a fabulous journey it was! Casey Cox continues to suck me in with his writing, I just love it!

We got glimpses of Hudson in the first two books, you could just tell there was so much more to him than meets the eye. A 6 foot plus, muscled, tattooed man with a shaved head is used to people making assumptions about who he is and what he likes, but they couldn't be further from the truth. Enter Liam, Hudson's celebrity crush, who walks into his gym one day and it ends up changing both of their lives. Liam is struggling with his own issues and trying to truly find what makes him happy. Together they go from meeting for the first time, to fake dating, to opening up to one another, to a wonderful HEA.

There was such a refreshing and rarely seen aspect of their romance that was so well done. The level of intimacy and communication they experienced just from touch alone gave me butterflies. The steam level was low in this book, but I did not miss it one bit. Just a kiss or a feather light touch to an arm or a hip gave me so many swoony feelings! There were also a few other incredibly sweet and touching moments throughout their story that just put the biggest smile on my face! There was far less of the daddy/boy dynamic in this story (really not much at all), but I thought it was perfect for what Hudson and Liam were to each other.

My only issue with the story was I missed time with the 4 friends because we didn't get a lot of them all together in this book at all. With Steel and Stirling in relationships of their own now it made sense, but i missed them! We did get a lot of Porter since he and Hunter were close and I was glad because I am starting to see his softer, caring side more...right in time for his book releasing next month, cannot wait!

Casey Cox's Forecast is the third book in the 99 Daddies series. Like the others, it's a great read. It does start slow though, taking a while for things to get going.

Liam and Hudson's story is far from typical. The two meet at Hudson's gym, with Hudson long having a crush on the handsome weatherman. Sounds typical. But, both men are intriguing characters, fully experienced with loss and pain. And together their story isn't anything like what's normally written.

The gym is a good meeting place for the men, as the buff and tough Hudson helps the not so buff Liam to work out. It bring out the issues of body confidence, as Liam isn't comfortable with his body. The way that this carries out is wonderful, as Hudson is one who isn't all about his lovers having a buff body.

The fake relationship aspect is well done. I enjoy why and how the relationship comes about, as well as is carried out. And if you enjoy fake relationships where the lines become blurred and they fall in love, you will love this one. The development of their emotions is sweet.

And then there's the sexual aspect. It's a wonderful tale of sexual exploration between two men who aren't interested in the sexual norms. Hudson is a side, and with Hudson's help Liam is able to discover the beauty of sex. Their first times are hot, as well as emotional, including crowning and tantra scenes. Liam's sexual awakening through some sexual experimentation is touching for sure.

As well, this is far from your typical Daddy romance. In fact, one could easily read the whole book and never take note of the daddy role at all. When the author states Daddy-lite, they aren't kidding.

The writing is great. Yes, the start is slow. Yes, I almost stopped reading. (Which is why I had to rate it a 4.) But I am thrilled I didn't. The characters are extremely interesting and likeable, and their storyline is heartfelt, with some unique issues. Then add in some conflict, and by the end, the emotions are jumping off the pages.

Forecast is far from your average romance. Casey Cox excels in bringing a beautiful and touching romance to his fans, all with some of the non-traditional sex preferences. I love it this great tale of love and acceptance.

Original and moving age gap romance with a fun rom-com vibe, which makes it an easy read even as it touches on more emotional ground, hitting you right in the feels. The writing flows smoothly, and the main characters are compelling, easy to like, and well-rounded. The premise of the buff, tattooed Daddy having a crush on the nerdy weatherman is super cute and turned out as wonderful as I’d hoped for. Yes to fake boyfriends ;-) At first glance, Hudson and Liam couldn’t be more different, yet they are unexpectedly perfect for each other. I loved how the author played around with perceptions and misconceptions in this story. Hudson especially was an incredible surprise. I’ve never come across a character quite like him. I love his way of looking at the world, how he slows down and takes the time to truly experience and appreciate life, and how that is reflected in his relationship with Liam. Things are not just butterflies and sparks, though, as Hudson and Liam have both known loss and struggle to see a way forward to a viable HEA. The author has created an amazing world for this series with great potential for new stories, which I’m looking forward to immensely. I enjoyed getting glimpses of the MC’s from the other books in this series, as well as a certain Daddy who still need his story to be told. I need more Porter in my life ;-) The secondary characters are a valuable asset to the book and as well-written as the MC’s. Definitely recommend.

This is my first book by this author and what an enjoyable read it is with two very likeable main characters, a bit of humour, some angst and some feels.
Hudson is a gentle giant gym owner who is constantly judged on his appearance and Liam is a local weatherman who strives for the big time leaving no time for love.
Both have struggled with loss and pain in their pasts, both feel their connection and undeniable chemistry. Hudson does have unconventional sexual interests but they discover that the inexperienced Liam is completely compatible with Hudson in every way.
I found this to be an interesting an engaging age gap with very light Daddy kink romance that is all about love and acceptance.

I really enjoyed this story for how different it is in regards to not being your "regular" Daddy story. What Hudson feels and wants is something others either don't consider or don't think is valid but he's taken the time to learn himself and what that means for any future relationships. In his wildest dreams it didn't include his crush from TV, Liam Wright, the local weatherman.
A fake relationship is an idea Liam has to help win him a promotion to a bigger network but the more time the two men spend together, the clearer it becomes that there is so much between them that is not fake but they have to be open to acting on it. Trust in themselves is hard to come by with past experience and it's a really wonderful journey that they go on together that allows them both to explore what they can share together and be true to themselves.
This, for me, was a really interesting story and had ideas and words that I've rarely, or not at all, read before. It's definitely different from the previous two books in the series but it's just as good a read. I'm really happy to have Hudson's story, especially when you read about his past. There's less involvement from the Daddy friend group in this one, except Porter and his meddling ways.
I highly recommend Forecast and it's a great addition to the series. Looking forward to getting to finally read Porter's story next.
I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.

The best yet of Casey's 99 Daddies series. What I really like about this series and especially with Forecast is that the Daddies and their boys are different to those we've seen in so many Daddy kink books. They aren't cookie cutter daddies and boys and I loved that and makes the books so engaging.
Adored Hudson and Liam and they are soooo right together.
Hudson is so cute. He's this huge tattooed muscled machine but still he gets all flustered when he first meets his crush Liam. And Liam has been chasing his career goal for so long that he's pushed aside certain feelings. He's felt wrong and broken for most of his life. I won't go into detail as I don't want to be spoilery but both men have different sexual histories and unconventional sexual interests which was so refreshing. I loved seeing such good representation of characters who like different things and embrace who they are all.
Looking forward to seeing what's next in the series.

Sweet story of learning to be your true self.   These characters were really fun to read about and I enjoyed watching them find their way into a real relationship.  Both guys were likable and they really met at the perfect time in their lives.  I really enjoyed the character development and felt that I got to know especially Hudson.

Hudson and Liam are steamy, funny and so sweet together.  I especially love the last couple of chapters as they explore together.  I think that this is a great story about being different and finding someone who enjoys and connects with that unique part of your life.

This book is an enjoyable read.

This is another fun and sweet read in this series, with likeable main characters, a bit of angst, and all the swoony rom-com feels. I enjoyed the age gap, fake boyfriend, opposites attract vibe between Hudson and Liam, and I particularly loved seeing how their relationship unfolded to discover that Liam is truly compatible with Hudson, including his somewhat unconventional interests. It is a wonderfully original and moving story which explores the idea that there is no ‘normal’ way a relationship should look. Hudson and Liam find what they need in each other and it is a beautiful and heartfelt journey along the way.

Not your typical Daddy. Not your typical boy.
Not your typical fake relationship.

Liam is living a life he worked for, as a stepping stone to the big time. He’s constantly being hustled by his publicist to do all the right things necessary to get the big promotion he really deserves. A trip to a local gym to show his Insta-fans his work-out changes everything!

Hudson has been harbouring a crush on Liam the weatherman for ages (despite the silly catch phrase) and is tongue tied when the luscious man walks into his gym. Hudson is not really the man people assume he is. Will Liam make the same mistake of judging this book by the cover?

The need for a pretend boyfriend to walk the red carpet with him, prompt Liam to ask the quiet personal trainer to do it as they look good together. The only real problem is Hudson isn’t pretending.
The story follows the lovely men from their meeting to the ‘dates’ to the real matter of love and attraction, but is either of them ready to put himself out there?

I loved both main characters in the story (and the pop-ins from the men in the previous two books) and really wanted them to find their HEA (which I’m happy to say, they do) but I really loved that this book challenged some really big stereotypes. The big muscular guy isn’t always the toppy-dommy- daddy, and in a genre obsessed with tops/bottoms and penetration, this book was a refreshing change. I also loved how the ending though satisfying and pleasing, was unusual and perfect for our MC’s.

Recommended.

"An Emotionally Healing Unique Love Story"

A breathtakingly beautiful, deeply thought-provoking emotional story, with gut-wrenching moments of love, loss and acceptance, uniquely fused together with the nurturing warmth of a very light daddy/boy kink and the need of overall acceptance.  Wow.  This upcoming story rocked me and certainly took me through the ringer that is for sure.  And, I did not see it coming.  At all.  Having read from this series before, it would be a given that I was going to enjoy future stories, as the characters have been fabulous and the storylines addicting with that hint of daddy/boy kink.  But, that doesn't mean I was prepared for this one.  For this, I went into it blindly, and, boy, was I blown away.

Forecast, by Casey Cox, is a story basically about not judging a book by its cover.  With this mindset, readers are taken through a highly-emotional journey of Hudson, a strongly dedicated, compassionate, beautifully inked individual, deeply mourning the passing of his former love, and that of Liam, a masked, passionate individual, equally in mourning of the passing of his own twin brother.  Together, both men bravely battle pre-conceived public notions to that of their true identity. This story was deep, it was heartbreaking, it was soul searching.  It was amazing.  I absolutely loved it.

Forecast does contain triggers of death and off-page suicide with tender healing recollections, and it was tastefully done.  One of the ways was through the wonderful secondary characters who make frequent cameos and through this, readers are able to be bear witness to the stages of grief but also to the stages of acceptance, healing, and also to that of living.

However.  It is in this reader's opinion that, there were also moments when there was a need for more story and character development, depth, and clarification.  As this was a unique relationship, a needed one for both Hudson and Liam, I needed to know more of its distinction.  In order to be completely connected and immersed within its uniqueness, I needed to be able to read about it rather than read of it.  It is also in this reader's opinion that, the amount of deep philosophical inclusion, and a bit of redundancy, while extremely interesting and relevant, took away from the actual pace and development of the core of the plot.  For that, my head began to spin late in the story with a need for a smoother conclusion.

That all being delicately said, I absolutely LOVED this story.  I loved the storyline, the characters, the humor, and the dedication of the brotherhood.  With the extremely light daddy/boy kink, Forecast is a story about acceptance, about love, and, about being at peace with who you are right down to your differences and lifestyle.  I really, really liked it. :)

I was given a free arc copy from the author and the GRR arc team for review.

This is book 3 in the series. Though technically the 4th book if you got the free one on Prolific Works. Each book can be read as a standalone though they do mention previous couples and events so if you don't want spoilers then read them in order.

Hudson is 40. He is this big tattooed muscle guy on the outside but is really a cuddly sweet guy. He owns a gym that isn't doing too great. He is obsessed with watching the weather forecast guy everyday (Liam).

Liam is younger though I don't recall his age and is the local meteorologist. He wants to go National and has done just about everything to achieve his goals. Even changing most things about himself. He goes to Hudsons gym to try and change himself more and asks Hudson to be his personal trainer. After his agent tells him he needs a bf he asks Hudson if he will be his fake bf. In return Hudson asks if Liam will tweet to help him get business. A fair trade business deal.

I enjoyed this book. Way more than the 2nd but a little less than the 1st and the freebie book. I love age gaps, fake relationships and opposites attract which this book has. Both the main characters were great and had great chemistry. Theres no instalove and things develop naturally over time realistically. The plot is interesting the entire time and I read it in one read. It's low angst and low heat.

The reasons I liked it a little less than the freebie and book one was and I'll try to be vague. I didn't like how Liam dropped his secret. I also I wasn't a fan of the low heat factor and both characters identifying as "sides" or possibly even "asexual". I give the author credit for portraying different types of people but I prefer more heat. That's just me. I also thought Liams agent though described as a friend, came off very self serving. Also, there is many mentions of Hudsons friend Porter (lead up for the next book being about him) and I despised him. He was a complete jerk so not sure that was beneficial. Kind of made me want to skip the next one. Overall though I did really enjoy the plot and the main characters.

I received a copy for an honest review.

Book 3 in the 99 Daddies series. Gym Owner, Hudson has had a crush on the local news weatherman, Liam "Always right" Wright; and who just happens to walk into Hudson's Gym, none other than Liam himself.

Liam is trying to garner national recognition to land a promotion and get a chance to tackle environmental issues he's passionate about. Nothing is out of bounds to get his message out there. He walks into the gym and meets Hudson, who agrees to be his personal trainer. Liam quickly finds out that training is not for him, but meeting Hudson was a stroke of luck when proposes a fake boyfriend relationship to help him get his promotion.

Soon their fake relationship gets real, at least in their own minds, but they don't speak about. No labels is their mantra.

Soon Liam gets all he's work for but is it what he still wants?

Hudson has many issue to deal with too. He's getting back from the loss of his previous boyfriend to suicide. In addition, his gym business is in the red and really needs a boost. He gets that when he agrees to be Liam's fake boyfriend, as Liam has a huge social media following and agrees to promote the gym.

Hudson is a different type of daddy. He is a side and into tantra sexual experiences. He also has had issues with trying to communicate his sexual preferences. While Liam is a 27 year old virgin and does not have a sex drive until he meets Hudson.

What happens when all Liam has been working for finally becomes a reality? Where does that leave his relationship with Hudson?

Read and find out.

This book is phenomenal and I loved it! It’s Hudson’s turn and his story is quite the adventure. Hudson is a daddy but a very unconventional one. He is looking more for the spiritual and mental connection as well as the physical. He has a crush on Liam, the local weatherman. When Liam shows up in his gym looking for a personal trainer, Hudson jumps at the chance. Liam wants out of the local weather scene and is hoping for a promotion to a national show. He and Hudson end up together when Liam’s agent convinces him a fake boyfriend is just what he needs. He asks Hudson and he agrees. What happens next is a wonderful and sweet adventure of learning about each other and new things about themselves. Hudson has struggled with relationships as people seem to judge him by his looks and when he gets into a relationship they seem to end when he reveals the truth about himself and what he thinks is important. Things start to feel very real with Liam the more time they spend together and Hudson thinks it could be something truly special but it will all come crashing down when an award and an announcement will drive a wedge between them. It will take an intervention from Porter, for both men, for them to realize exactly what it is they want and to do whatever is necessary to get it.

I read an ARC copy of this book and am volunteering my honest review.

Funny and poignant fake M/M boyfriend turns into the real thing until…
A fake boy friend to garner more news, fool the public, specifically Mrs. Langley and hopefully get a promotion. That was Liam’s plan, well actually it was his publicist’s plan. Parker works really hard to get 27yo Liam what Liam wants but does it make Liam happy?
Hudson Madden, 40yo and owner of a gym is his own advertisement: buff, tattoos galore, 6’6” tall, big…really BIG. He appears to be the perfect alpha male but there is more to him. He is one of the four Daddies in their own “quad squad” some of whom have found their boy, leaving only Porter and himself. What his friends don’t know because he’s afraid to share is that Hudson is not your typical alpha-Dom-daddy.
Hudson has a crush on the local weatherman, Liam “I’m Always Right” Wright. When Liam walks into his gym one night asking to join, Hudson nearly has a coronary. Very funny scene. When Liam does a good deed for Hudson on social media, things begin to change for these two guys. Just when the reader thinks everything is working out, the expected (yes, I meant expected) happens which becomes sad and painful.
If you like M/M romance with serious but humorous moments, clever writing and an HEA, read this book. I volunteered to review an ARC through Gay Romance Reviews and give it a 4.5 happy stars.

An exceptional book! Intense and intimate. An emotional description of a big journey. The story about two very different men, but in the end not so different. Their trying to overcome preset expectations and previous loss. Their realization that they need to let go.
With their strong believe in their senses and conviction, they find their way together against the influences of their surroundings and previous experiences.
It is a story about an extraordinary love, a romance in a very different style, written in a clear, realistic and often funny manner, but with a lot of time to dwell on the situation, feelings or newly made insights. The reader witnesses an amazingly strong and growing relationship.
I definitely loved this book, with chapter 14 being my favorite. Some developments in the book took me by surprise, but in an absolutely pleasant way. Many times I thought I know where this journey will go, just to be shown something different. For me it opened my eyes to see something actually not really new, but in a completely new way, the realization of the beauty of pure understanding.
An absolute 5 star for me, even all this love, belonging and beautiful connection nearly broke my heart due to overflow.
I received this book for free but leave a review freely and voluntarily because I really enjoyed reading it.

I love the 99 Daddies series and have been waiting for Hudson’s story. Hudson & Liam were perfect MC’s together.

Hudson is often mistaken for a power alpha based on how he looks and he hates it. He never feels comfortable telling people who is really is and he wishes he could. He just doesn’t feel like anyone would really understand him. He’s had a crush on Liam since the first time he saw him doing the weather report, and when Liam walks into his gym he can’t believe his luck.

Liam wants to go national with his weather reporting but he is also getting tired of all the crazy tactics it takes to make it in the business. The newest scheme is for him to pretend to have a boyfriend to help him get a new promotion. Once he meets Hudson he realizes he’d make a perfect fake boyfriend.

They have fun together and they both start to feel something real for each other but when Liam gets the promotion of his dreams what will that mean for him & Hudson.

This story was beautiful and Hudson & Liam showed that not everyone needs the same type of intercourse to feel connected and that not everyone needs the same type of daddy/boy relationship. I’ll definitely be reading this story again.

I did receive a free ARC of this book from Gay Romance Reviews but that did not influence my review.

This book was good. I like Hudson. He is so quiet and unassuming. He owns and runs a gym, but his heart isn’t really in it anymore. He is a big tattooed teddy bear of a man but everyone assumes he is the ultimate tough guy. Liam is a bit of an ass, a cocky tv personality of a weatherman who is very driven in his career. He is very loud and proud and doesn’t let much get in the way of his success. Which leads him to needing a fake boyfriend to boost his ratings. This book has a lot of feels. Liam is upfront and honest with Hudson from the very beginning in what he wants. Hudson knows this but lets him in anyway, knowing he is going to get his heart broken. These two have instant chemistry. Liam just has to figure out what is more important and if he can even change his goals because of his possibly changing heart. A good story with a sweet ending. I did read an arc of this one.

I really REALLY enjoyed this book! I've loved Hudson from the first time we met in book 1 (First) and was so happy to find out what was really going on with him. Liam too, but it took him longer to realize what was most important and rearrange his priorities. They were great together, til they weren't, but sometimes it takes getting the thing you wanted most to realize it may not be what you want or need, after all. I love and hate those kinds of stories. I learned a few things, though. (in book 2, I learned of a kink that was unknown to me previously, and in this book, I learned about tantra and being a "side"!) The way things worked out for them, and the teasing lead-ins for book 4, left my heart happy and a big smile on my face. This story does have heat/steam, but not of the variety to which we've been accustomed - it's refreshing (tho I'll still take all the "usual" heat too!) Another excellent story well told.

"Forecast" is a light and easy read overall, but with enough emotional angst for MCs Hudson and Liam to keep it from being fluffy. I especially enjoyed the self-discovery focus of this story, with Hudson and Liam's fake-turned-real relationship helping both push past labels and appearance-based expectations toward a deeply fulfilling connection neither expected to find.

I wasn't really a fan of the drama toward the end - Hudson's behavior seemed pretty out of character, particularly given the situation - but his "18 things" list was especially touching and the HEA was ultimately sweet and satisfying.

I'll admit I didn't follow the author's suggestion of reading the first two 99 Daddies series books before this one, but I enjoyed it all the same. I've now got those two books download on my Kindle, and am especially intrigued to read Steel and Nick's story (Book 2). I received an advance reading e-copy of this book and have left this honest review voluntarily. (Also read in KU.)

2.5

Enjoyable until the third act. The writing is solid and the MCs are likeable and work well together. I liked it more until THE BIG MISUNDERSTANDING. Suddenly gentle giant Hudson, who has been pretty good at communicating thus far and shared very personal information with Liam, can't be bothered to listen to the guy who chased him down crying. Nor can Liam, the guy who chased Hudson down crying, simply say the 3-4 words necessary to calm the situation. When Hudson does give him a chance to speak, he's like "eh, why bother".

I've never been a fan of The BM, and it wasn't utilized in a way that didn't feel like contrivance. So when it happened, I kind of zoned out as the remainder of the story checked the requisite big gesture/HEA boxes. Hudson was an interesting MC and not your typical Daddy in a way not seen very often in MM romance; it was just a shame the story had to then go and tread such generic ground in the end.

This is my favorite of the 99 Daddies series, so far! Hudson and Liam just melted my heart. There were so many amazing things about this book. I loved how the characters went against the normal stereotypes...Hudson was this 6'6" tattooed, muscular, bald guy that was as far from a dominant top as you can imagine. He didn't view sex in the conventional way and focused more on the journey instead of the destination. Liam was also not what he appeared to be. Most people viewed him as a definite bottom based on his body style and characteristics. Neither of these men had relationships on their radar, but sometimes love happens when you least expect it. These two shared such an amazing connection and their physical chemistry just about melted my Kindle...it was THAT hot! I highly recommend this book and the whole series!
