Marcos Diego was held against his will for over a year, and the only thing that kept him going were daily visits to his cell by Sister Valentina. She had come by the Camillo compound every day, offering him conversation, prayer, and even her shy smile when he told her a dirty joke to make her blush. She was beautiful, with her long dark hair, and caramel-colored eyes that looked at him with such compassion, kindness, and dare he believe it—longing. She was only twenty, just a girl compared to his almost forty years, but when she looked at him the way she did, he wanted to do things with her that a man should never want to do with a nun. Valentina wasn’t sure how she was ever going to escape her little village, but she had to. She had no choice since her father betrayed the Camillo family. They were one of the biggest crime families in the Guadalajara Syndicate, and her only way to safety was to pledge her undying love and life to a God who didn’t care about her or her family. She said her vows, made promises she never intended on keeping, and then met him—Marcos Diego. He made her feel things that she had never felt for any man. Things that would get her kicked out of the nunnery, her only solace from the Camillo family. As a nun, she could hide in plain sight. If she was caught with Marcos, she’d be shunned, ousted from the order, and made to face the Camillo family on her own, but that was a chance she was willing to take if it meant finally being with him. You can’t help who you fall in love with. They met under usual circumstances, but they had an immediate connection. She was young enough to be his daughter, but she’d experienced a lot in her years. It was fast paced and entertaining with an element of darkness.
This is a great addition to the Huntsville, AL RBMC series. This book can be read as a standalone, but I would strongly suggest reading the first 2 books in the series first, As Can’t Fix Cupid takes up right from a part of Book 2, Whiskey Tango. If you read book 2 you know Marco had a hand in helping Luciana escape from the criminal hands of Lucas Camillo. While she escaped that day, Marco was captured. He’s been held in a small cell for over a year with the only highlights being the recent daily visit from Sister Valentina. Little does he know she too is hiding from the Camillos. Their connection is strong, yet under her circumstances forbidden. He needs her help in escaping but can she help him and not get herself caught? If he can escape somehow can he live without her even if she doesn’t know about his illicit thoughts and feelings?
Outstanding suspenseful, action packed MC romance. I Highly recommend the RBMC Huntsville, AL Chapter series. If you haven’t started it yet, trust me it’s a winner.
Goodness for a minute there I thought Marc was permanently gone from the previous books I've read. But he's alive and was falling in love at the same time, nicely done author K.L. Ramsey.
Heartwarming! Valentina and Marcos were both in hard times when they met. Valentina was known as Sister Val and Marco was a prisoner. They were separated and were determined to find each other again. K.L. Ramsey has just the right amount of romance and action in this book. Will Valentine's day come with a happy ending?
this book was just wow! he has been held prisoner because of who he is. so when a hot sexy nun comes to visit him he is in heaven but thinking dirty thoughts. she is hiding from bad men . will these two ever be saved? read to find out.
Can't Fix Cupid is a great, fast paced read. It starts out with excitement and continues throughout. Mexico was not very kind to Marcos Diego. In his efforts to help his friends woman he finds himself taken captive by the Camillo Family. Valentina Leon finds herself in a tight spot trying to avoid the same people. They find each other in the most unexpected way, and as usual with these guys, chaos finds them quickly and it's one heckuva ride for them. Never a dull moment this crew that's for sure.
Marcos Diego has been missing for over a year after trying to help Luciana Diaz find her way to her love. He sacrificed himself so she could find peace and safety. Now he’s fighting for his sanity and his life locked away in Mexico, by a drug cartel. His last hope to save his life is to get word to the US Embassy in Mexico that he is being held captive and a rescue mission put into effect to get him out.
Valentina Leon needs to find refuge or forfeit her life. The Camillo family is hunting her, and she has no way to escape her town or them, or so she thought. Maybe if she can hide in plain sight she can survive. One night of too much wine though and her secret is spilled. She thinks she’s safe, but not everyone is loyal. Money has a way of making people give up their values and morals.
I really liked this story. I’ve read the other books with Marcos and was so happy to have his story told. Marcos is an FBI agent that is loyal and protective. He’s afraid if he doesn’t get away from the Camillo family, he won’t have that chance, but a chance meeting gives him hope and then his world gets turned upside down. He has no idea what’s going on now. I love the connections that these characters always have with each other, the Savage Hell MC and the connection with Whiskey O’Brien and Anders Taylor, both FBI agents with Marcos have each other’s backs and are ready to help when needed. They have a great connection and comradery. For the Savage Hell MC to work with the FBI shows a loyalty for the MC brotherhood since Whiskey is one of them. I give this story a 5-star review and look forward to more of the Savage Hell MC, RBMC, and the Lone Star Rangers.
Romance trope: law enforcement Series: Royal Bastards MC: Hunstville, AL Length: 166 pages
Plot: Marc is an FBI agent who was captured while helping a friend. Valentina is a reluctant nun who was sent to provide spiritual support to Marc while he is being held captive by a drug dealer. They are an unlikely pair but fall in love, needing only for both of them to be able to escape the places where they are hiding/being held. Once they do, they will have to navigate the dangers of the world they're trying to leave.
Commentary: Very loose connection to the Royal Bastards series. Some MC members hop on down from Alabama to Puerto Rico, I guess, to provide some help, so we see them in one small part of the book. I don't know if that's par for the course in this series, but that seems a little like cheating. Maybe having the law enforcement guys in a spin-off series would make more sense (to me, anyways).
This book is part of the Royal Bastards MC collection. This is the third book for this chapter. This book doesn’t future the MC part till right at the end. You need to read book 2 before this one to fully understand it. Marcos is captured while trying to help Whiskey’s girl get out of Mexico and to him. While being held he asks for a priest and instead gets a nun. Only this isn’t a normal nun. Valentina became a nun in order to protect herself. They meet for a year and grow close. They find themselves developing feelings for each other. Then out of nowhere they drop Marcos back home in Whiskey’s backyard. But why? Now Valentina must decide if she is going to continue to hide or is she going to try to find a why to get to Marcos? Marcos wants to go back and get her right away but he can’t. Then there is the mystery of why the let Marcos go. This book was a great read. Marcos and Valentina have a great connection. I loved getting to read more about Whisky and Luciana again. I can’t wait for the next book for this chapter. Great job K.L. Ramsey.
Marcos Diego is the FBI agent who helps Luciana escape from the Camillo family and a mafia marriage, giving her to his buddy Whiskey who ends up marrying her. But Marcos is captured and kept in prison for a year by the Camillo family with the only company of a young nun, Sister Val, who visits him. For months they talk and share secrets and plans. Sister Val is actually Valentina Leon, the daughter of a man who betrayed the Camillo family and now they are looking for her, so she seeks refuge in the convent and take the vows even if she doesn’t believe in them. She and Marc hatch a plan to escape to the States, but their plan ends up not being realized, someone overtakes them. The book is ok, it’s very focused on the relationship between Valentina and Marc and the FBI agents are more protagonists than the Royal Bastards who only appear in one scene at the end. The good thing is to see Whiskey again.😍
Can't Fix Cupid is about an undercover FBI agent named Marcos who gets himself imprisoned in Mexico at the Camillo compound for betraying Luciana Diaz's father before he got killed. He was helping Luci escape and to find Whisky before her father could force her to marry Lucas Camillo but Marco ended up getting captured in order to help Luci get away. While he was imprisoned he meets a woman names Valentina who became a nun to hide from Lucas Camillo after her father betrayed the Camillo's family. Together they make a plan for escape when all of a sudden Valentina finds out Marco is no longer at the compound.

Outstanding writing KL Ramsey .I was waiting to find out what happened to Marcos and it was a surprise to find out he was still alive. I really enjoyed reading this story and loved how he managed to stay alive, finding his true love to boot. Valentina was such afresh f.character to have been added to this story, loved how she hid from the Camilla family. If you love KL Ramsey writing you will love this story. I recommend this book with a5 Stars review
I found this book such a hard read. After reading Whiskey Tango I was looking forward to finding out what happened to Marcos or Marco (I don't actually know what his name was because it kept changing, same with Luciana - she became Lucinda at 1 point) but I had to force myself to finish the book. I also don't know why this is classed as an MC romance when the MC only turn for 1 chapter at the very end. This is an FBI romance with crossover characters. I'm sorry to the Author but I won't be reading anymore.
Oh Marcos! The last time we met he gave himself to the Camillos so that Luci could go free. He has been imprisoned for some time and that's where he meets Valentina. She is hiding in plain sight. But he sees her. There is a connection and when he finds himself dumped in someone's backyard, he goes to go back and being her home. Not as entrenched in the Royal Bastards MC as most of the books are in this collection though. But still a good read.
Marco was been in a prison 4 a really long x now. He asked 4 a preacher 2 talk 2 and instead he found his soul in a innocent "nun". Things went south 4 her only family that she had 2 do things she wasn't proud of 2 survive but who sold her out needs 2 get in serious trouble asap cause of what she did doesn't go with her Godly ways. When things really get screwed up in many ways buddies won't let them down and will help in any way possible.
If by chance you read Whisky Tango, then you know that Marco was taken when he tried to protect Luciana by Lucas Camillo. This is his and Valentina's story and it is page turning action from the beginning, there is also a few cameo appearances from some well loved characters, including Savage and Ratchett, i couldn't put it down.
I forgot I wasn't going to read any more of this authors books in the Royal Bastards MC series because they are not part of the series!!! In the last few pages of the book is when one man called in a favor to the Royal Bastards to come down and help them. That's it.
This is a cop book or more FBI. No motorcycles no nada.
This book did not seem like a Royal Bastard's book as you are reading it until almost the end where you find out one of the main characters is actually a Patched member of the Royal Bastard's. This was a good book. Not the typical Bastard's style which is nice for a change
Marcos was taken when he helped luci escape her father men and get her to whiskey. We find out where he been and happen to him.he been a prisoner for 2 years.
Valentine was trying to hide took a vow as nun. She sent to see Marcos while he a prisoner and they hatch a plan to escape together.
Love this sweet older man finds love in the darkness times.
K.L. Ramsey, this Can’t Fix Cupid ( Royal Bastards MC: Huntsville Chapter Book 3): Royal Bastards MC: Huntsville Chapter, I couldn’t put down until I was finished. So suspenseful and so heart rendering!! Could feel the love radiating off the pages. On to Book 4.
I have a hard time with this chapter of the RBMC. I don't know if it is the writing style or just the layout of the story. I wanted to love this story. I loved Valentina. She was so sweet but tough.
This was a great book. A different idea than you'd expect. It's a four star instead of five because my personal preference in a Royal Bastards book is for an MC member to be the main character instead of secondary characters
In true Royal Bastards fashion, this 1% MC does everything in its power to save the day. Expect the usual, hot alpha males, strong feisty sassy young women, and even include a Mexican Cartel boss bent on retribution.
I am ?loving this. This couple Marcos and Valentina were adorable. I loved the hardened, playboy falling to his knees for the woman who captured his soul. I loved Valentina's spirit and her innocence. They fell perfectly in place.
Everyone knows the Royal Bastards are not to be played with. I knew it was the Mother Superior that sold Val out. Marc should have figured she was the only one who knew Val's secret. Camillo was lucky the Bastards were lenient with him.
It was alright. Bit too short to fully understand and get to know characters. Will I carry on reading? No. If you like short but completely over the top books these for you.
We finally get Marcos' story from Whiskey Tango and I was on edge the whole time. This was action-packed and exciting but mysterious and so sexy. I loved Marcos and Valentina.
