Drake’s military career is over. This job protecting a wealthy socialite is all that’s on offer. How hard can it be, right? Wrong. Izzy Beaumont is like nobody he’s ever met before. Wild, spoiled, sexy – but also secretly vulnerable, he’s drawn to her like a moth to a flame. When she’s kidnapped, he’ll stop at nothing to get her back. Even if it means putting himself in the firing line.
Kidnapped by pirates? Really? She thought that stuff only happened in movies. Yet, here she is, imprisoned on this rust bucket in the middle of the Atlantic, instead of on her friend’s party yacht in Tenerife. Just when she thinks it’s all over, Drake, her mysterious bodyguard, comes bursting in. The strong, silent type, she’s been trying to get him to open up for weeks. Seeing him standing there, a dripping sea-god with abs harder than barnacles and eyes the color of the ocean, she knows that instead of rescuing her, he’s captured her body and soul.
This is a sizzling military-tinged "falling for the bodyguard" romance by Amazon bestselling author, Louise Rose-Innes. This is book 7 in the SAS Rogue Unit series but can be read as a standalone. It has pirates, warring tribes, sizzling chemistry, conspiracies, betrayals, double-crosses, and plot twists galore! Oh, and a happily ever after, of course.
A new rogue unit member, enter Drake Morgan, ex SAS specialist on the verge of disaster if not for the chance with the unit. First assignment, bodyguard to a social media celebrity. As a probationary unit member, Drake was following all the protocols as personal protection officer should. Until, Izzy wants to meet her Robert at a friend’s yacht party. Drake doesn’t think Izzy should be out in the public, since threats have been made. But, her professional life must continue or her social media following may take a huge hit with her sponsors. Four men swarm the yacht, and before Drake can get to Izzy, she’s gone. What will the head is the Rogue Unit think we Drake tells him Izzy’s gone? Drake tries to follow the kidnappers, but can’t catch them. The search is one for missing social celebrity. Jamie and Drake are able to follow clues and find Izzy locked in a cabin on a fishing trawler. Getting off the boat and to safety becomes a challenge. The trio get to land, unsure where, and take off into the jungle to hide. Drake and Jamie begin to search for the kidnappers, hoping to take care of them before they can get Izzy again. Then, Izzy gets grabbed by locals. Is Izzy a magnet for trouble? How does Drake think he can protect her? Drake knows he is physically attracted to her and understands this would be a real problem for him if Pat, rogue unit boss, was to find out. Getting safely back to a remote resort, the trio report back Izzy is located. Decisions made to send Jamie back to HQ to see who’s behind the kidnapping, while Izzy and Drake lay low. Time enough for some heated passion and deep feelings to sink into Drake and Izzy? Is this the end of his career with Rogue Unit? Can these two from very different sides really have something together? Did these threat attempts come because Izzy took over the mining company after her father died? After another mining company’s head officer finds Izzy on the remote resort, it appears the couple are not as secure as they thought. Back to reality and home. Another attempt is made on Izzy, this time it’s more like an attempt on her life instead of kidnapping. Pat comes to check on their client, and figures out Drake and Izzy are involved, rules broken! Drake is reassigned! What can he do now, he needs the job! Broken hearts will mend, hopefully. A television show puts a clue into Drake’s mind about who’s behind the threats and attempts. Working on this hunch, Drake heads to Izzy’s penthouse. No security in sight, worry begins. Making the call to Pat maybe the final straw in his current job, but it’s worth the risk. Learning the security person has been shot, Drake sets off to find Izzy, while Pat gets backup sent. By time Drake gets inside the penthouse, Izzy’s gone. Can Drake save her for good??? Thank you to the author and publisher for this complimentary book in return for my honest review.

This is book seven in The SAS Rogue Unit Series and it is Drake and Izzy's story. Drake has been recruited to work at Rogue Unit after leaving the military to be a professional bodyguard with all the experience that he has. Izzy has been getting death threats after her father died in a car accident and she took over his company African Enterprise's as she had major shares and now she needed protection and that is when she meets Drake, Izzy is also a icon for the fashion and perfume industry and that is what she wants to concentrate on so she has people who run African Enterprise's. Drake and Izzy have a really strong connection and chemistry between them but with all the serious threats again Izzy and after her being kidnapped there is no way that Drake can act on how he feels about her because it could be the difference between life and death. The characters and storyline pulled you in right from the first page and I couldn't put it down as I had to keep turning the pages to see what would happen next and is was so addictive. Louise Rose-Innes is an amazing author and writer and I can't wait to read more of her books and I definitely recommend you read this book, series and other books by her and you will definitely not be disappointed. I Voluntarily Reviewed an Arc Copy of this book.
Another great addition in the SAS series that will have you turning the pages, not wanting to put it down. Grant recruits Drake into the SAS team and is assigned a bodyguard job to Izzy, a woman who is near and dear to Pat, the unit’s leader, and a man who holds Drake’s future in his hands....he can’t mess this assignment up. When Izzy is kidnapped, Drake pulls out all the stops to get her back and figure out who is out to get her and why. I am soooooo loving this series and ecstatic that this author just keeps them coming and even at the end of this read has me wanting the next book ASAP to find out Pat’s secrets and the answer to the burning question....did he???? No spoilers from me as this is once again a must read by this author. A read with steam...ahem...oh boy oh boy steam...I’ll just say pool scene....suspense, action, betrayal, and amazing characters. The story flowed beautifully without missing a beat and the descriptions were spot on, felt like I was right there. I loved the no over the top drama and how easily these two clicked when all their walls came down. *I voluntarily read an advanced copy and expressed my honest opinion*
Louise Rose-Innes has written a 5-star book. If you like a book with a little mystery, betrayal, and a slow burn love then this book is for you. Izzy is the owner of African Enterprises since her father passed away. Now someone is after her, and she goes to her godfather Pat and shows him the death threats she received. He tells her that he can help He gets her a bodyguard. Izzy is not used to a bodyguard and at first, does things her way. Things do not go well for Izzy and she is kidnapped off of a yacht. She had gone to a party that Robert, the CEO of her father's company was going to be at. Can Drake find out who is after Izzy? Will Izzy and Drake get together after things settle down? This was a wonderful book and I would recommend this book to anyone.

I have only read the first 2 of this series prior to this and will read the others, but it doesn’t in any way affect your enjoyment of these books and is a book that can happily stand alone.
Izzy is a multifaceted personality, as well as being Pat’s god daughter...as well as an Instagram influencer, owning her own clothing and perfume line, following her fathers death she has also taken on ownership of a mining company. Several death threats later she decides protection is needed and so asks Pat to help. He brings in new boy Drake (not a typical British name in the slightest btw...) and soon they find themselves in hot water and bed together.
An enjoyable story with lots of action but missing an element of depth, Drakes injuries and feelings on leaving the SBS are never really touched on, and the death of Izzy’s father is touched on but only very lightly.
Good read but missing a little filling for me

Hold on for a wild ride: Wow, what an intense yet thrilling read. There was intrigue, danger, action and of course steamy romance. Drake was tasked with protecting Izzy but found himself in quite the predicament, trying to resist his growing attraction and remain professional as his job would be in jeopardy if he crossed the line with her. They were also opposites in many ways as he was serious, quiet and broody whilst she was more vibrant, flamboyant and somewhat carefree. However I could really feel the chemistry between them and I liked them together as a couple. I really enjoyed the mystery and intrigue and whilst I had my suspicions, I was ultimately kept guessing right up to the end. This was book 7 in the SAS Rogue Unit series and the first that I'd read, however the author did a good job of providing background so I was able to follow along without difficulty. Now I need to go back and catch up on all that I missed in the previous books! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I got this ebook in exchange for an honest review. It is the 7th in a series about former SAS soldiers. It hs less of the military in it, but is a much smoother romance read that the earlier books. I read it straight through. There are a several explicit scenes in the book, but they don't seem to interrupt the story. Recommended read.
Another explosive romance from Louise Rose-Innes. Lots of action and some steamy scenes made it a gripping, super-hot romantic suspense. Drake needs a job. After leaving the miltiary he's down and out until a friend offers him a bodyguard position. Izzy is an Instagram entrepreneur, who's also inherited her father's shares in a mining company. Suddenly she's a target. After she gets kidnapped, Drake does everything in his power to get her back. Read it in one sitting. Highly recommended.
Rogue Hunter is the seventh book in the SAS Rogue Unit series.
I always look forward to reading this series and keep them in my TBR-again pile. The author had given us an excellent romantic suspense story with terrific characters, action, kidnapping, danger, suspense, intrigue, and steamy romance. I can't wait for the next book in the series. I read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book with no obligation.
I was halfway through this book thinking it sounded familiar. It was. I had read it before and it was just as enjoyable this time as before. Although a little, predictable at times there were a few surprises that make you go “Oh, didn’t see that”
Drake was hired to be a body guard for Izzy who was receiving death threats because of the mining company she inherited from her father.
This was a non stop roller coaster ride of a book that to me, puts Author Louise Rose Innes right up there with the best. The book was dramatic and fast paced, action packed and downright tense as times. There were also the most delightful steamy moments to carry the story line along famously. These actually were my favorite moments, not necessarily the sexy scenes, but the intimate moments between Izzy and Drake. Just lovely to read. Such great book!!
Another powerful SAS story from remarkable Louise... This author drags you in slowly & then when you think you know what's potting she spins you around & you're not sure which way's up or down. Her knowledge & research adds to the compelling craftsmanship of her stories that resonate so deeply & I'm in awe. This one was almost counter intuitive until you realise that the sexy influencing instagrammer has the smarts & is attracted to her ex SAS bodyguard who tries to hide behind his mask of professionalism. Can their attraction be denied or is it just the intensity of him putting his life on the line trying to save her? I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.
Izzy and Drake are the stars of the seventh book in the SAS Rogue Unit Series but can be read as a standalone. Full of danger and fast action this book will keep you page turning and losing sleep. Throw in some pirates and plenty of twists to keep you guessing. Their chemistry was off the charts and they were great together. The body guard falls hard for the socialite. This was a great book, well written with strong characters and an entertaining story line. I read an arc via the author and voluntarily chose to write a review.
Another great prior military book. Drake thought his life was over as he knew it. Medically discharged and doesn't know what to do with himself. But a friend of his shows up and offers him a potential job. He's to protect an heiress who has been threatened. Her parents are dead and she's inherited her father's mining company although she doesn't want it, she has her own business. There's plenty of action, steam and a second chance at life. HEA. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I loved Drake and Izzy’ characters they are engaging and have undeniable chemistry throughout the pages. The storyline is interesting and has plenty of twists and to keep me satisfied. This series is awesome.

This book started out incredibly slow for me... It took until around 35-40% in to even catch my interest... and part of why it took me a while to get through (and it was only 230 pages!) is it's a lot different than the typical romances I usually read - I did read book 1 before reading book 7 (book 7 at the request of the author), since I generally don't tend to like reading books out of order in a series and prefer to get to know characters, but once I read book 1 and knew that they could be read as standalones, I felt I could move on with enough of a basis of the series and characters.
The general idea of the series is that these are all guys that are former British soldiers of some sort of special services, that have joined a special-ops/special forces group and are sort of black-ops or off-book missions that the government can't sanction otherwise. This particular one is a bodyguard assignment for a social media influencer that inherited a company that has mines in Africa, and has had threats against her life. The start is very slow because they go off to Tenerife and it's about modeling shoots pool-side (for 30-35% of the book!).
Then they go to a party on a yacht and that's when things get interesting, because those threats become reality and off they go traipsing across the ocean and through the jungles of Northern Africa chasing kidnappers and following her and getting her back - all while trying to avoid the feelings that have been building between each other. Once her bodyguard gets her back, things get interesting, but there are still many (new) threats, so they have to stick close together, and that just heats things up.
It was an OK book. Not my usual and I may some day go back and read the others in the series. They are fairly well written and semi-steamy, but just not really the type of stories I look for.
At a loss after his medical discharge, Drake goes to work for Pat at SAS Rogue. His first assignment - protecting Pat's goddaughter, Izzy. She's been threatened about her father's business that she just inherited. I love Izzy and Drake - both on a slow burn, great chemistry. She knows what she wants out of life, and knows how to get it. Except for a relationship with Drake. He's a great guy, although he drove me nuts with his "sometimes hot - sometimes cold" attitude with Izzy. Emily, Izzy's assistant, is a complete airhead, not very tactful, and no filter on her mouth. Robert was not very likable - he's too presumptive about his supposed "relationship" with Izzy. This is the seventh (!) book in the series, with every one better than the last. As always, the story pulled me in from the first page, taking me on a wild ride. I'm really looking forward to Pat's book next.

Louise has written another brilliant addition to this series Once again we are dragged along for the ride as things are never what they appear This is Izzy and Drakes story
Drake has recently joined the SAS and he is out to prove that he is good enough to stay and his first job is has bodyguard to Izzy Now Izzy is a friend of Pat so the pressure is really on She has been getting threatening letters ever since she inherited her fathers company. Izzy isn't used to answering to anyone especially not a bodyguard and has a tendency to still do what she wants this ends up with her been kidnapped Can Drake get her back and keep her safe Can they solve who is behind the threats and even more importantly can they get they get a HEA together Get ready for a wild ride that I guarantee you won't want to put down till you turn that last page
Opposites attract: Izzy is the social-media darling, while Drake is the rough-around-the-edges, solitary type. I would have liked more detail about what happened to him (there were only references to an event in Nairobi) as he was medically discharged from the military yet seemed more than capable of any physical exertions (so why the forced discharge?), and perhaps more angst about the things he'd seen/done as special forces. The attraction between the two was instant but I didn't really see what Drake thought was so special about her and it took me a while to warm up to her. She was always the damsel in distress; I would also have liked to see her make more of a difference in his life, maybe 'save' him in some way.
Once again, Louise Rose-Innes delivers a well written intriguing, adrenalin rushed, action packed suspense with a side of sizzling romance. Like its predecessors in this series, the book is a stand alone with a HEA that captivates and delights the reader while keeping you on the edge of your seat waiting for the next twist and turn. Drake is tasked by Rogue Unit bosses Pat, and Grant to look after Pat's god daughter Izzy. If he succeeds, he will receive a contract to work for them, something he wants and needs. What he does not expect is the beautiful sassy Izzy that stirs feelings and emotions in him. Loved them as a couple and found myself rooting for them. A great read.

I absolutely loved this work, the plot, the characters, everything. There was action, there was romance, there were twists and turns. The character growth over the story was fantastic, watching the bond between the two characters grow was great. Even though this was 7th in a series and the first of the series I’ve read, I didn’t feel lost at all. If anything, I’m eager to go back and read the rest in the series; anything really by this author.
I give this a five out of five stars. The plot and the characters were woven together to create an amazing story.

If you are looking for something that has excitement, action, suspense, romance and more then you need to look in to this book and this series. You are going to be trying to figure out the secrets on your own. The who? The why? You will see the attraction between the characters grow but will they ever act on it?
The seventh book in A British Special Ops Bodyguard Romance/SAS Rogue Unit series a well written story that kept me turning pages. Izzy and Drake's story of suspense, drama, danger, villains closer than they realize, and romance. I want to read the next book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I’ve read each of the books in this series thus far and except for one, they have all been five star books. But I enjoyed this one the most thus far. Have I already said that about each successive one? Regardless, if you want to read a great book about an ex special forces operative and the woman who falls in love with him, then read this book!
I have read everyone & they caught me off guard once I stared them ( all of them) I had to sometimes remind myself to eat as I would forget I was so engrossed you are one awesome writer keep up the great work 👏👏👏👏👏👏
