Finding His Mate . . .
Jack Eastburn of the Special Forces Bearclaw Team of elite shifters, and Geneticist Emma Worthington are brought together when the council tries to abduct her. They are trying to figure the reason for her importance to the council. However, her scent immediately tells Jack that she is his fated mate! This in itself is unusual since it has been 80 years since an alpha elite found his fated mate. So while protecting Emma, Jack needs to keep his desires under control and concentrate on his mission. Although Emma knows about shifters, he is going to have to explain fated mates to her, and hope that she feels the same intense attraction.
This is a good story line with strong characters. The tension and mystery keep the reader involved in the story, and it flows well. Grab your copy to find out what is going on with Emma that the bad guys are trying to capture her. Will Jack win his mate’s heart in the end?

I enjoyed this first book in this Bearclaw team shifter series. This is the story of Jake who is a alpha elite bear shifter on the Bearclaw team. He doesn't have time for anything else, especially fated mates. Being one of the alpha elite's they don't have fated mates, they kind hasn't had one for over eighty years. That all changes for Jake when he is given a job to protect Emma, she is his fated mate his bear keeps telling him. He will stop anything or anyone from hurting her, she is his everything. Their journey to their happily ever after will keep you glued to your seat.
The story is well written, the characters are perfect for one another and have an amazing connection. This is a new author for me and I can't wait to read the next book. I enjoyed this book and so will you.

Jake is a alpha elite bear shifter which means he’s one of the best of the best. He also isn’t destined to find a mate. At least that’s what he thought until he meets Emma. He’s been assigned to protect her because someone is after her. Now he will protect as more than just his job because she means everything to him. Emma knows about shifters but she’s a scientist so “mates” is hard to wrap her head around. She does know that she’s attracted to Jake and enjoys being around him. She also knows someone is after her and she thinks she knows why. Check out this shifter romance with suspense and plenty of steam.

Jake of the Bearclaw Team was told to keep an eye on Emma because the council tried to abduct her. He saved her when they were trying to take her and left with her. When Jake smelled her, his bear was trying to claim her because of them being mates. She had to decide that if the mating was a real thing. She was working on a very special way to help the shifters. Things were starting to calm down after her abduction and escape from a colleague that thought he was his and her new place of work was great! Good book!

This shifter mates love story is all for Jack Eastburn of the Special Forces Bearclaw Team and Geneticist Emma Worthington. Oh these two are just too cute to be real. I loved how protective they both are and how well they just seem to work in each others lives. That doctor Emma worked with was just plain crazy and scary. I loved this book and can not wait for the next one.

I truly enjoyed this first book from Sifters of Bearclaw. I believe a story is only as powerful as its characters and Jack and Emma leapted from the page. I love stories where the hero and heroine are immediately drawn to each other but have to overcome their own fears in addition to external obstacles. If you enjoy a romance that is magical, secretive, sizzling and heartfelt, I highly recommend this book.

This is a well written shifter romance between alpha Jake and Geneticist Emma. The author brings strong characters and does a great job building their story and painting her scenes. I loved the characters and how protective they are of one another. I loved reading their story.

This is a cute, action packed and heartwarming shifter romance. I love Emma and Jack's dynamics along with how their personalities meshed. This is a fun read that kept me turning the pages.

4.5 stars rounded up.
I used to read a lot of shifter stories. Lora Leigh’s Breeds series comes to mind and while I loved them they all became very similar.
Bear’s mate also has some similarity to the usual shifter stories but it’s done with a gentler hand. Yes the mating heat was there but it didn’t impact on every page. Yes, Jake was an alpha but he was also super protective in a loving way as opposed to a possessive “You’re mine” kind of way. However what makes this book is Emma. She is so sweet, snarky, quirky and adorable all at the same time. Also tough as nails. I loved her and her bestie Marina. Could there be a book for her soon? Fingers crossed.
On a personal note I am from New Zealand so reading a book set here was great. I was trying to picture an elite shifter team stationed in little old NZ. It was cool to see Bucklands Beach and Muriwai. Both beaches I frequented as a child.
Overall this was a well-written story with an alpha with a heart and a mate made just for him.
