Beautifully written and illustrated book.

I heard about this book before I found it, and I wasn’t disappointed. The tale of a little tree who is longing to be around his friends, the boys and girls. It’s warm and sweet and everything that you’d want in a children’s book.

The illustrations are the icing on the cake.
In the words of my 5-year old, “I didn’t like it, I loved it!”

This book is important! Beautifully written and illustrated.

It has teachings that not only children, but also us adults must take for life – and we need to be remembered of it once in a while.
All the helpfulness, the learnings the tree have and the sharing between nature and humans: just amazing.

This Magical Book Tugs At Your Heartstrings

What an absolute delight this book is, especially in these trying times! It is so refreshing to see a book where kindness, generosity, love, and the pursuit of a dream triumph.
This wonderful book had me at “Hello”! The beautiful, whimsical cover begs you to open the book, dive right in, and join in Tree’s adventure. How could you refuse, with Tree’s very expressive eyes, begging you to help and guide him? These phenomenal, totally detailed illustrations add that extra element of wonder as the characters and landscape come to life, beautifully intertwined with the rhythmical text. You can feel this book actually come alive in your hands, lending to its ability to be easily read during story time or bedtime. The reader and listeners are totally engaged as you follow Tree step by step on his quest to see the world. This is a book that will become a family’s or a classroom treasure, with that very special place reserved for it on any bookshelf so it can be easily found to be read over and over.
The story is a wonderful example of Tree’s perseverance, pursuing his dream and never giving up, enlisting the help of his new found friends, the Little Girl, and the animals around him, hence, making friendships that will last forever. It is a perfect book for anyone, young or old, who has a dream and desires to see it through to fruition. The ending is so poignant, as the Tree, the Little Girl, the Children, and the Animals discover that their strength to move and take Tree on this adventure to see the world had nothing to do with physical strength, rather it was the power of Love and Friendship that sustained them all along.
As a retired teacher and a grandmother of four, I wholeheartedly recommend this wonderful journey of love, generosity, and kindness. I can see my grandson, who is four years old, totally engrossed in the plot, actively pointing out each character as he follows along, repeating the rhythmical poem after me. Tree’s expressions of determination, happiness and joy will definitely be seen in the eyes of the children that are watching and listening. You are totally involved in the plot from beginning to end.
I am 68 years old and I totally believe, just like Tree, that being true to yourself, with hard work, imagination and determination, all dreams are possible. Most importantly, it is in showing love and kindness, that we will overcome all the ills in this world.

A little tree possesses an overwhelming urge to travel and see the world. But how can he move? His roots are deep and entrenched in the soil.

The tree has an idea. He recruits the birds of the forest to help him. Slowly, he advances forward. When he comes upon a group of children, he has the opportunity to create deep friendships. Seasons come and go. Will the little tree be able to sustain his dreams?

I like the ideas and concepts that are conveyed through the simple words and illustrations. Having read the kindle version, the size of font was small even when enlarged. That is a drawback for beginning readers who want to read the electronic version.

The Big Adventures of a Little Tree: Tree Finds Friendship is a sweet picture book, perfect for naptime or storytime. It's the story of a tree to wants to go on an adventure to find new friends. The words are lyrical and have a whimsy I haven't read since Sally Huss. The Big Adventures of a Little Tree: Tree Finds Friendship has beautiful illustrations and I loved how expressive each illustration is. A must-read with a valuable lesson. Highly recommend!

You know how they say, don’t judge a book by its cover? Well, forget that advice. This book drew me in with the beautiful cover, and held me close with the story filled with friendship, going through change, and accepting the beauty of it, and tied together with rhyme. It’s truly magical, and I can’t wait to get an actual paperback copy of this book for my daughter.
