3 years in a supernatural prison? Paris is a siren and never wanted to live in the ocean again. She wanted to live on land like a human and for the past 10 years has been doing so with a friend, both stealing to live. Her one goal has always been to steal back a powerful magical blade that was stolen from her family years ago and is now in a human museum. Finally she and her friend think the time is right but she’s caught and her friend escapes. Being a siren she never should have been caught. Was she set up? She’s sent to a prison with other paranormals and the warden and many of the guards are corrupt. She has to escape but she’s in love with one of the guards. No one has ever successfully escaped from the prison before. Can she?

Breaking out is the easy part. The hard part is deciding if our heroine can leave our hero behind.

This is an urban fantasy story with magic, sirens and the like. The story is very well written, with a nicely detailed setting and excellent characters. Our heroine is tough and smart, which is good, because she also has some tough decisions ahead. I very much enjoyed the depth of the plot here with the different twists and turns it took. I am definitely hooked and looking forward to the next book.

A quick easy read that was both interesting and entertaining as Paris goes to prison and what happens while she is there. The other characters were as expected in a prison, you know bullies, creeps and corrupt people in charge. But Paris was a bit of a hoot. Just a fun prison read with a supernatural twist to it.

Escaped By Magic by R.L.Wilson is such a wonderful story to read. I really loved reading this story very much and I can not wait to see what this author will writes about next. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about fantasy and paranormal romance.
