Dance For Me
Okay, so being fired from her dream job and possibly being evicted from her apartment in NYC with a killer view, wasn’t exactly what Vanessa had signed up for. Just when everything was falling apart and seemed hopeless, she meets Jack. He put the phrase, tall, dark and handsome to shame. Not only is he the hottest man she had ever laid eyes on, but he’s offering her a job at his nightclub. Only catch, it’s a gentleman’s club, AKA strip club. An easy mistake, right? I feel kind of bad giving this such a low rating because it's the debut novel by C.M. Danks but unfortunately I didn't like it so I have to do it. 😔
I don't remember how I came across this book but I thought I should give it a chance anyway. When I picked I didn't know that it's written in 3rd person pov (I'm not a fan of it in romance books) and in the first pages I had a hard time getting into the story because of that but I managed. I couldn't connect with the characters and the plot couldn't hold my interest. I didn't like the writing style and it frustrated me that Jack (H) was constantly calling Vanessa (h) "babe" (normally I don't have a problem with that term but in this book it felt like it was overused) and the and when she was talking to him she used his name in almost every sentence (we got what his name was from the beginning, no need to repeat it that much 🥴).
I would have dnf it but I wanted to give this author a fair chance since it's my first novel by her. I kinda liked the ending (the last 5% maybe?) but overall it was a disappointment for me and I pushed myself to finish it so 2 stars it is. 😞

Dance For Me is a debut novel by Indie author C.M. Danks. She has written a very good story as her first book, and I can't wait to read more books by this Author.
I really enjoyed this book, Vanessa is a smart, beautiful independent woman that knows what she wants to do with her life. She wants to be a fashion designer, unfortunately she thinks she's doing great at her job, but instead finds herself fired, and unemployed! She is desperate to find a job.
Jack is a gorgeous, sexy, alpha male man, that is an owner of a upscale strip club, and he finds V. at her favorite cafe when he offers Vanessa a job. She has no idea what type of job he offered until, she walks into the club to speak with Jack.
Their chemistry is instant, but they don't act on it right away. He is possessive of what is his, but I also think he has a kind heart.
I liked the little twist of mystery suspence C.M add to the story, keeps us guessing who it might be!
This story is narrating in a 3rd person form.
The one thing I was missing in the story, was hearing Jack's voice a little more, some of his POV, his thoughts on certain things.
I also wish we had an epilogue, ( I really need those Epilogues in stories) only because of these two things, do I give this book a 4 star.
This book does give you all the feels a romance book should give you!!! It's a standalone, no cliffhangers, with a HEA!

Great Debut Novel by C.B.Danks
This is C.B.Danks first novel and she smashed it.
This novel is based on Vanessa whos ends up working for Jack, shes a clothes designer who is passionate, beautiful and a strong female lead.
Jack is a nightclub owner, hes smouldering,strong passionate man.
This novel was a slow burn romance with a shocking turn out at the end [i wasnt expecting that], its not my usual dark romance read which is what i love but the story as a whole was great, angst, spicy and with a beautiful HEA

This is the debut book of the Author and What a debut it is! It was a complete pleasure reading her book.
I love how the Author describe each and everything, I love the characters, I love how the author showed the bond between Vanessa and Jack. They actually take time to get to know each other and I love that.
Though the story was a little bit of predictable and I knew already who was going to be a Villian in the end but it was worth the read.

A very sensual and sexy debut for author C.M. Danks!
Vanessa Saunders is a girl down on her luck and out of options. When she's offered a job to work at a nightclub by a handsome sexy stranger at the Cafe she frequents, it seems maybe her luck is about to change. That is until she finds out the club is actually a strip club....
With the bill piling up and the threat of eviction looming, Vanessa accepts the job despite her reluctant feelings. The stage is terrifying but, she finds herself surprisingly empowered by the art of sensual dance. Especially when it becomes apparent that the focus of her dancing is directed solely on her dark and mysterious new boss Jack Angelos.
Jack is harboring some secrets and as his and Vanessa's relationship begins to heat up, so does the drama and the emergence of new threat that could be the most dangerous of all...
This was a completely enthralling and exciting read. From beginning to end, you had a fantastic blend of mystery, drama, and smoking hot sexy times to keep those pages turning. Jack and Vanessa have a chemistry that bleeds of attraction, deep sensuality, and longing. It was so hot 🔥 The side characters of Jazz, Owen, and Michelle complimented the story and added the touches of humor as friends do. My only complaint is to have Jack a little more present in the story and maybe more from his POV. I mean who wouldn't want more of this sexy bad boy? 😍

I believe this book is a debut by C.M Danks, and what a debut it is!

I wasn’t sure what to expect going into this. I knew nothing about it going in and I’m so glad I got this as an arc because oh my gosh. I’m ashamed to say that this probably would not have been my first pick of a book to read only because I’ve been heavily into the dark genre and the darker the better but this was a great read.

I’ll admit it was a bit on the predictable side for me but what sold me was the chemistry and bond the characters had. It was realistic in the way they really took the time to build their relationship, even with the sizzling chemistry that seemed to melt the pages, but it was great seeing that depth. Incredible character build and great plot. The writing style was awesome. Very detailed and the imagery was vivid, the author really took the time to lay out the foundations and was very descriptive.

This was a steamy, heart felt and sensual read, not gonna lie the intensity level wasn’t the greatest in terms of the plot build or even certain events and moments but the story was set at a great pace and it focused on what mattered which was great. A very good read.

What a debut novel!! It has a bit of everything you could want from a romance... Hot alpha male, sassy fierce female, meddling ex's, fab secondary characters, friends but really family! The list goes on..
I loved the friendships that built throughout this story and the slow burn romance that gradually builds, that leads to hot bursting passion!

Hot DAM! This story was so freakin GOOD! Once I started it I couldn’t stop.
Jack, oh Jack! He sucked me right in to his Alpha like Aura. Like can I straight out claim him, please? He was so possessive and aggressive but caring and protective. Drooooool, I instantly became OBSSESED!
Vanessa was a great Heroine so strong willed and Feisty. I loved her and her cat Sprinkles. Im a cat person so that totally was nice touch for me! I love when authors add a pet into the mix!
Together, Jack and Vanessa had this intense chemistry tight from the first meeting. It was a hot slow burn at first but filled with so much tension. I loved it! Once they stopped fighting their feelings for each other *cough* Jack *cough* it was explosive!
Add in some crazy twists in there and you got yourself a great story! If this was her first story the world better watch out because this was nothing but pure talent that came through those pages!

This is a debut novel for CM, so I was stoked right away—that blurb alone—I mean come on. I’m not into cutesy romance, I like it dripping in darkness or I have a hard time paying attention. This story is the perfect middle. The storyline is immersed in potential darkness of the criminal world, but then once you meet Jack...you don’t care what he drags you into as long as he’s giving you promising smiles.
Tall dark and handsome with a questionable past to keep you intrigued. But I love a strong female that won’t lay back and take his shit!! Can’t wait to see more from this author!!

I have been waiting for this book for what seems like forever. I started and could not put it down. It was sexy, hot, and erotic but also beautiful, passionate, and so swoon worthy.
Vanessa speaks to me. Almost shy and timid but not quite. She is willing to do whatever she has to in order to keep moving forward.
And Jack, oh my newest book boyfriend was perfection. Dominate alpha, caring, gentle, protective-do I really need to go on.
If you love romance this book is everything. C. M. Danks did an amazing job developing these characters and the story. I would give it 10 stars if I could.

When Vanessa got fired from her job she had no other choice but take the job that was offered to her at a strip dance club. After her one and only dance Jack had realized that she only would dance for him and she will make her dream a reality with designing clothes.
The story has many twists and turns and it’s so well written. From the first page I couldn’t put it down till finished. I laughed and I cried at some scenes and it was well worth it because there is nothing better that getting a happy ending with all your dreams to come true with beautiful characters. This is a definitely 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 and can’t wait for more to come ❤️

This was a very enjoyable and solid debut!
This story had everything I love in a romance book, including a confident and sexy hero and a refreshingly spunky heroine! Ms. Danks has both of them nailed. It's a unique synopsis of a handsome stranger offering to help out a young woman down on her luck by offering her a job... as a stripper.
Vanessa comes off as the girl next door type buy she does not take any shit and I loved that! Jack was a protective hero which I am a sucker for, and I am one of those people that enjoys when a story has it's villains which there are two in this one, both very easy hate and fun to hate!
Capped off with a swoony yet believable happily ever after, ticks all my boxes in a 5-STAR read!

Awesome Twists & Turns
This was great! Yay to C.M. Danks on her first book! Vanessa was such an awesome character. She was down on her luck when she got fired and a beautiful sexy guy name Jack swept her off her feet. What an awesome book with so many twists and turns! This was an awesome read!

This is an exceptional debut by C.M. Danks. I love Vanessa and her struggle to accept her new circumstances. I also loved that while she was struggling she really found her self-worth and wasn't going to let anyone take that away from her. Jack at times I didn't like him at all, but he really came through for Vanessa in the end. Although, he made some idiot choices along the way but he redeems himself in a big way. I do not want to spoil at all, but there were a couple moments that I could have done without, but I understand why the author took the book there. I wish it would have played out in a different way. I also wish, that while in third person point of view we could have seen more from Jack. The only time we got him was during his interactions with Vanessa and I wanted more from him away from her, and for those reasons that I am giving this a 4 star review.
I give Danks credit, it takes guts to put yourself and your work out there, and she should be extremely proud of this work. It was well written, and I am excited to see where she takes us next.

CM Danks did a great job on her debut book. I loved seeing Vanessa grow into herself and gain confidence was great. I loved all the side characters that worked in the club, except Trixie of course. Now Jack.... he was swoony and hot, but I found myself feeling really jealous for Vanessa a few times. I did like him but I’d like him better if he would have been more outspoken. The chemistry and steam between them hot! I loved that.
This book is 3rd person and I think it threw me off a bit because I’m so used to 1st person dual POV and that would have helped me understand Jack and the decisions he made better.
Overall I enjoyed reading it, I thought the storyline was great and the characters were likable. I’m looking forward to more from CM Danks

It’s a book that just makes you feel good. It has a bit of danger, love, sex, longing, and has a touch of darkness.
Vanessa is trying to make her dreams come true of becoming a fashion designer and when she meets Jack, and walks into his strip club, well he can deny her all he wants, but they are inevitable. She is sweet and real, and I liked a very strong moment she took for herself near the end of the book ;) I loved that the author did that! It may seem small but its those little things that are so big and celebrated for me!
Overall, I think its an entertaining book. It was a quick read, it was a solid read, and I look forward to more from this author. It’s a sexy read with an alpha hero who wants nothing more than to protect his woman and keep her in his bed. Ya know once he gets his head out of his ass!

Dance for me is a debut book by Indie author C.M. Danks. I went into the book blindly. I've been doing that lately with books.
This book did not disappoint. I enjoyed how the author was so descriptive that I felt I was there with the characters. The book has a combination of sexual spicy steam, mystery and drama. I great cocktail mix for a romantic drama reader like myself.
I will add Jack to my book boyfriend list. Totally recommend this book

Vanessa is jobless, living in New York. She had always wanted to become a fashion designer and her recent job status was not going to change that. She was willing to do anything to keep her NY apartment with the wonderful views. Well…she thought she was willing to do anything. When a stranger in a coffee shop overhears her conversation about losing her job, she is offered a job at his club. But will she really do anything to keep her apartment and her dream alive? Even become a stripper?? This isn’t the biggest challenge she is going to face, though, because Jack seems to be hiding some things. And when it becomes obvious that Vanessa is in danger, can they figure out who the culprit is before it is too late?
C.M. Danks is a new author and Dance For Me is her debut story. I will be continuing to follow her because I LOVED the chemistry between Vanessa and Jack! Every time they were together I could feel the tension and attraction. Danks was able to create a wonderful story with characters that I immediately grew attached to. She definitely came out of the gate swinging!

Vanessa: smart, determined, creative, and a tad desperate after she gets fired from her dream job.
Jack: sexy, arrogant, alpha club owner who offers Vanessa a job in his strip club. After one night he pulls her, and not because she can’t dance.
The story was not quite what I was expecting in a good way. It was predictable but still entertaining. There is plenty of drama, secrets and mystery. The characters are likable. Fun, light, read that will capture tour heart since the first chapter with it's characters, story, and developments. Loved how the author wrote each characters and gave them something meaningful to be remembered for. This one is a must.

I loved this. Jack was a hot alpha and Vanessa stood her ground and was a strong heroine to match him. I was flipping those pages to find out what would happen next and I loved all the intrigue, suspense and of course the happy ever after.

Vanessa is so much fun. I loved her comments and quirks. Teamed up with the very sexy Jack made this a steamy book.
I can't remember the last time I read a book in 3rd person but that ended up making it more unique in my mind.
