A Lie Told Often Enough Becomes The Truth: Exposing How the Watchtower Deceives Jehovah's Witnesses

Rate this book
In the late 1800s, a religious organization known as the Watchtower was birthed. This group places much emphasis on Christ’s return and Armageddon, aggressively seeking to spread their doctrine to all who will listen. These efforts were successful, for their influence can be seen in countries and languages throughout the world. Many of the Watchtower's deceptions were easy to spot in the early days, but with almost 150 years of practice, they have found ways to fine-tune their inconsistencies. Millions have been misled by the Watchtower and have become personal carriers of their fraudulent message. These carriers are known as the Jehovah's Witnesses. After having hundreds of conversations with Jehovah's Witnesses, I began to understand that most are sincere people who generally want to please God, but fail to recognize that they have been duped by doctrinal deception. This book examines the variety of ways these deceptions take place by comparing the Bible, the original languages, church history, and the Watchtower's own material. After exploring this information, the reader will be able to see how the Watchtower has been deceiving Jehovah's Witnesses with false prophecies, misquoted scholars, historical untruths, and even purposeful changes to the Bible. This writing is respectful but does not pull any punches. It is straightforward truth that exposes the Watchtower’s manipulation of the Jehovah's Witnesses.

Loved it

Eye opening and makes so much sense. I studied with the jw for a short time. Something was missing. The trinity. I stopped the studies and prayed to father son and holy spirit. What peace and comfort. Reading this ebook helped me understand the trinity better. Thank you. Eric Schaeffer has done good research and pointed out a lot of information that is so good. The watchtower tries to fit and change verses to try and prove their point. I enjoyed learning about the teachings of ancient fathers had been teaching trinity before 325ad. The wt tries to say trinity wasn't taught til 325 ad. Watchtower is totally wrong on this and many other things as well.

Great job on the authors part. Ebook works well on kindle as well

A short, concise reading into the faulty teachings of Jehovah's Witnesses. It goes into how they manipulate the scriptures to suit their own doctrine. I was a former member of this cult, and yes cult since they over time change your thinking into believing that they are the only true religious people that Jesus has chosen in 1914 C.E.! If you want more information about this cult, faux religion - go to JWFacts.com run by Paul Grundy!

Very short

The book starts out good but stops short of what could have been exposed, as there are lies upon lies that continue to come out of their organization. I'm only giving it four stars because the scriptures used in the book were very clear in discussing the divinity of Jesus and how the JW translation was manipulated, deceiving and misleading millions of their followers. Like I said, could have been more, but still ok with it. If you want a short read this is it.
